Alright, welcome to the horse racing.

Happy hour. Everyone's neither normal

location. Except for maybe no one's where

they should be. Millions must be on a plane to

Florida in Trinidad, this point. Yeah.

Louise in his basement, keeping his hostages company.

And I am in my closet, basically, for lack of a better

term, not really closet Mike's coming out of the closet after

the show there you guys are fourth.

Bedroom is where I am because of the massive ice storm that we

were supposed to have that. I guess it's getting bad now.

Here's some I think it's enough to not be pleasant for sure.

Yeah I mean it was definitely not worth us risking the

opportunity I guess to just all come for Louis not basically to

meet at the office for the two of you to be together.

Let's BE Whirl. Yeah.

All right well that's fair we are the horse racing happy are

you can follow us at horse happy hour and I am Mike Adolfo.

Big Mike and off on my is my Twitter handle.

Those are our Twitter handles of You're watching the stream.

And by the way, If you're listening to us on a podcast

platform, we highly suggest that.

Now you go to Spotify because you can listen to the show or

watch the show versus on Spotify.

It's a little clunky that Louis isn't house a clunky.

What part? Walk me.

I hit play and I can hear the show, but then I like, I have

to, like, almost like scroll it up to see the video.

Like, it doesn't, like, just pop the video up.

So, it's always in the little Banner at the bottom.

You just have to click the banner on the bottom, right?

That's for every single video. I have on every video podcast on

Spotify for sure. Yep.

Right, super good at technology. Yeah, we are longing just to

having this. We have our producer JD.

So, yeah, that's that's and that's exactly what JD's here to

make the show look better. And look, get the video for the

dad sexiness that we bring to the table.

Essentially, I would say, 40% of our listeners are in it for the

dead, sexiness 60% for the drinking and I 0.0% for the

handicapping. So that's weird.

Okay. All right.

Basically, you have to have a baby.

Do like a new one? I have a new cat.

Is that the new cat? This is a cat.

Why do you need to see the video?

Old. So I adopted him from the

outside world. Go, grab downtown Louisville

from home with good. Yeah, I know seriously.

Yeah, or my house to become a barn cat but but he can't until

he gets his balls cut off. So he's living my life inside

cat balls. Alright, got balls.

We are already a cat balls. We haven't talked in Italy

against cats also, I just want to say death You got them like

them. I was a strictly a dog person

and I'll say I was wrong but I will.

But like a strake my cats with the exception of this one.

He's actually really not that cool.

Nothing like tries to bite me but it doesn't.

It's like yeah no kidding. I'm slightly allergic to cats

like I'm not gonna break out in hives or anything like that, but

I'll get sniff. You know, I'll get stuffy now,

you never come to our party. No.

Louise. This is like very allergic to

cats and she still comes. Yeah, I come to your parties.

I hear your wedding. Doesn't count.

Okay. So I'm going by little bow for a

while now. You should probably know.

Yeah. It's very on-brand for the show

though, and I wish I think we need to give JD a big name.

Like, you know, no one just calls her producer by their

actual name. I think JD actually has to have

a nickname. So, you know, let's listen, if

you we can get chat stuff, so You have a idea for JB's

nickname as a producer on the show.

You know, drop it in there. You know, the easy won't be the

Junkyard Dog because it's JD technically a nickname.

It is technically a nickname. Yes, we need a new one because

he is a lawyer Juris doctor and he is But now it is it.

Yes, JD put it there. You're the only other one that

has a nickname like because you are Big Fudge, okay?

And so who are we, who are Louis?

And I can you can stop it. God damn it.

You remember what it was like? Look like 1:00 in the afternoon,

drink a bunch of wine and then like go to the beach.

That was that was her Thursday like that's.

I mean that was it. That was it that was it two

years ago? That was also the day that I

started talking to my now husband to.

So that was like a big day. It was good days.

Horse racing happy our first, you've done a lot for you.

I agree. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, I

mean we we create a safe space for you to move the Lord.

Let's talk a little bit about Pegasus day real fast, you know,

we have a saying here, classical and class.

And I think we saw that for the races there, on the biggest a

class did class. You know, I think Louis, I know

you're working on some sponsorships, I think part of

the sponsorship package needs to be a t-shirt.

Run a classic own class t-shirt run because I think our

listeners would want class going class teachers for sure.

We got to get those out. So Let's start with Regal

glorious performance. Megan.

What were your thoughts? Your the your the your are Troy

Aikman are Tony Romo. The person the toaster.

Yeah, do not call me Tony Romo because the time is getting.

That's your new nickname. I quit the show.

I'm done. I don't know what he is whatever

but I don't even know anything about football and even I was

like that's wrong. I don't know.

No. But I disagree how much money by

the way? Those guys gonna throw a Tom

Brady to try to get him in the booth, 40 tons.

But I who knows I mean I thought the same thing when Peyton

Manning retired to and that you know he's like no I got most way

more for sure. Is there any lien commercials

that I'm going to do in the other shows by the way,

hysterical a bit over the weekend was awesome.

I don't know if you all saw it or not is Tom Brady the most

obviously attractive 45 year old male ever.

Excuse me, he's just, he's just a great looking dude, I hate

that guy, jeez. I mean, he's like the David

Cohen of the NFL, I just hate it.

And to be fair to paint on the Peyton Manning common, he has

his own, like, they gave him his own Monday Night Football, show

her him and he lied to sit there and talk.

Yeah, you making way more money doing all the things that I mean

I don't know what they were offering him for a salary but I

would assume with his many appearances that he has on TV is

great on Saturday log by the way, like he is outstanding.

On Saturday left in the think he did about that.

The thing he did this weekend with the Emily.

A on Weekend Update, was just Are you watching that show Megan

Saturday night like Emily in Paris?

No, no, my wife's a big fan, so I just didn't know.

I really had no idea what my wife and my sister are watching

that together. Yeah, we just watched the, I

still don't even know the name. It's a running joke that we got

it wrong every time, but the woman in the house across the

street from. Oh yeah, right.

Okay. Like every time we say it we get

it wrong sir, the girl in the house with the Problem, and the

cast actually know what the title is.

But, but yeah, it was okay, the ending was really stupid, so it

was, it was okay until the end and then we were both like, you

know, we tried we try to watching only murders in the

building. Is that the Selena Gomez, Steve?

Martin Martin, I watched the first episode and I'm like okay

you want to be Wes Anderson but this is a shitty version of Wes

Anderson. And so now the she already GD,

doesn't Explicitness earlier and so I I couldn't do it.

Like, I got one episode. I'm sure my wife has watched all

of them. I couldn't do it but I had haha.

Okay. I like all the people in it.

Much cat. Oh man, I need to know this.

So before we get off the street brawls and I don't know how

we're on that jet. He's like ready to go onto the

horse racing. This is not what we do here.

JD we're sitting around the bar, we're talking.

This is it all right. Megan.

Because you are not of my generation.

She's not my god. Do you enjoy the corny Nostalgia

- of Cobra Kai as much as If you haven't watched Cobra Kai?

Well that answers that. It's a Netflix show.

Yeah, I don't watch it either. Is it good?

Oh, it's really the like the it's it's a it's so bad and so

hot it. Okey.

Yeah. Up watching and they do such a

good job of making these references back to the Karate

Kid and of course, if you're in my generation, you grew up with

the karate kid. That's your big deal.

Yeah, right. Yeah.

And so like, you, it's can't stop watching it.

So But it is pretty hokey. I think Peyton Manning was on

the Rob Lowe roast. And if you're a fan of the Rose

going back to Peyton, Manning he was very good on that.

So we're going up on YouTube. All right, all right, Megan.

What did you think about at this point?

I remember. What is that, by the way, to

this card will, let's just let's play the The replay.

We go ahead. JD.

Put it on there. And gobbling up the ground.

Regal glory is rising to the occasion and she's gonna win

going away. Rico, glory in the Pegasus World

Cup, Filly and mare Turf by 3 in the end.

All right there. Yes.

Do you want to report that I've gotten rid of two of the cats

while we do that? I mean, that was one of those

races I think Lou. And I talked about it, where it

was. You either had a very strong

opinion or and single horse or you were going to try to build

some value for yourself. I had the 4 on top Regal Glory,

but I did try in my tickets that we used to get some additional

value with sweet melodia. I think I had the five horse,

like we talked about the night in the eighth in that race too.

Who was out Shifty she and I thought maybe summer in,

Saratoga would pop up for a big price.

I was just being home is really to try to create some value, but

yeah, the spa. But I mean, like I said, my

classmates. I forget it unfolded the way

that we thought it would, and it looks like a pretty easy

performance for her, too. She was my single for the

weekend. So it felt good when I saw her

in the five path. I was like, okay we're good.

There we go. Moving on next.

All right, so you got your single, that's all good.

Good ride, we're all good. Jose had a nice day for sure.

He made a lot of good news in that was one of them, for sure.

Yeah, let's move on to the Hooper, which was won by

Speakers Corner to the top three, are the factoring three

and two of them are the two heavyweights. 3/4 nine and two

Speakers Corner gets to head. Start on Fearless but he's gone

fast. Anything of a mile from Home

Speakers Corner trying to hold Fearless off.

Fearless, trying to get to him. He's been hard at work

throughout but he's surging up on the outside.

Here comes Fearless to try to make.

It's close. Its close to home at Speakers

Corner. Still there Speakers Corner,

turn Fearless away and one the Fred Hooper by a length.

Alright again the two heavy favorites, they're broke away

from the pack never admit, they challenged each other.

But I mean it was and that's what we talked about too is that

those two work? It was pretty much those two

horses and everybody else. But the one horse that I was

disappointed by a beast, was the six horse and Liam for Todd

Frazier, and I rather to use because that was one that we

thought might actually pop up. And have a little bit of a

better showing second time off the bench but that work was,

like, nowhere to be found at the stretch and they pretty much

just wrapped up on them knowing that they were going to get

there. So I mean I don't think I'm very

surprised anybody but I was pretty disappointed by that

effort. At least if you were playing

like a try or something, that would have been the horse that I

had in that third slot. So Pete ILO and Travis don't

have one thing in common all of their race calls are the same

like, you know, it's them and they all and they do they have a

formula and it's Very good and they do the same thing with

Travis, you know, exactly what's going on in the race.

You know, when they're, you know, they're on the final turn,

you all those things with Pete. The Finish is always, it could

be ten thousand dollar claimers and he would have that kind of

enthusiasm, which I appreciate. Because that is nothing.

Appreciate yes, that's right. And, and so he said about

Michael rona's, he put as much research and effort and

enthusiasm and 110 yard that horse race, 100, he does.

So it's great to have. I mean Pete's calls on these as

it's just fun to hear these so oh no JD wants to put some music

behind. Pete's.

Not going to happen but it's a know it's refreshing at, you

know, watch these races around the country and have different

announcers that I really enjoy. And he's one of those guys

reading. Yeah.

All right, let's move on to Colonel Ian's performance in the

turf. Again, all these video replays

are courtesy of Gulfstream Parks YouTube channel.

So just want to make sure we give credit where credit's due.

So yeah, always. Get these race, replace.

I'm Jade Jade. It's nice that they're out

there. People can just go get them,

right? If you wanted to look at them

horses running this weekend, for example, on Holy Bull day and

just go back. Watch our YouTube page to do a

great job of that. And I was actually, you know,

before we go onto the video, JD I was actually thinking about

this earlier today because, you know, we knew that the class

going class aspect of this and just we've got all we got all

kinds of listeners. You know.

We try to be very approachable as far as a horse racing show.

We want to give good quality information to the Serious Force

player, but we also want to be able to bring the average.

Fan into horse racing and I was kind of just thinking about

those fundamentals of how you prepare for handicapping day and

Megan your big again on Class Clown class, you know, look at

look at the clasp on as far as look at the race car and we can

talk about that later about how you evaluate that.

But you also love going back and looking at race to replace

because you know, the past performance is only tell you so

much. No totally.

I mean, I I do a lot of Replay watching especially on Days to

because you know, you have a lot of horses that are so closely

matched and obviously like in the past few races that we watch

the heavy favorites one but a lot of times you just got a lot

of very good horses that show up for the big day is because

that's where the money is. And so, oftentimes just to find

some sort of margin of separation between them.

It comes down to watching those replays and looking at, you

know, was there trouble in the race that wasn't reported or was

there reported trouble that wasn't as bad as they said it

was. And also just the way that the

Jockeys ride, you know, is there anything that anybody did?

That was good? Bad indifferent.

And then how the words is it, it too.

So that's a, that's a huge thing for me.

And, and something else that I I pay attention to and sometimes

it matters a lot. What a matters, it matters a

lot. I feel like I'm one, it doesn't

it? Most time it just doesn't make a

difference but I really watch equipment and I try to make note

of equipment in my form, and that's more.

So it's more than just the, you know, blinkers on blinkers off

or whatever. I don't really care about from

bandages, but more. So like what kind of bit do they

use to? They use a different type of you

know, blinker whatever. Did they have a bubble on or an

extension blank or whatever a gag bit compared to a d-ring?

And so I think a lot of that stuff matters to you.

So you get that from one watching the replays but also if

you can follow along on Twitter, like plenty of the photographers

that are out there have really great pictures and you can kind

of make note of that if you're not actually at the track

itself. Alright then, let's move on.

It's a great stuff right there and let's look at Colonel

Williams Performance real quick in the turf.

Seven lights from first to last as Kurt Um, makes a bit for the

we'd never surprised his barn but he has inside position in

the still right there. These two off the corner.

Well, clear of the others down the center channel cat.

With a tone. There's an eighth of a mile to

go. Colonel Liam sit down, driving

with an eighth of a mile more to get never surprised this

fighting back, but he's second best, it's to Pegasus turfs

back-to-back. First Turtle Liam, he wins by

lakes and a half his stack. All right, so there's the blue

shaking his head. What would you think?

Luke stole. Oh it's so impressive to come

off. That kind of layoffs and win a

race against that kind of field. I mean that was a that was a

true grade one turf field and he made it look like allowance

company. It's remarkable once in a while

would horses just do that? And you know, look great trip.

But you can get great trips when you have great horses, right?

And so, you know, that great example of that, I'm shaking my

head because I've watched that race.

I was probably the sixth time. I've seen the fish and it just

Mike knows this cuz he's hung out with me like bricks and

mortar was one of those horses. I just loved fell all over.

Yeah, I just can't get enough. I love Tommy family and love

those kind of a, totally, then breaks.

A murder Gunrunner is in there somewhere where?

Yeah, right, we'll talk about his kids on this show, which is

fun, but just horses like that, that just want to be out front,

can you don't want to be in the pack?

You'll pass feel past can Guillermo all the field passes

in that race had no. Chance with kid with Colonel me.

I'm running like that for anybody that's playing along

with the drinking rules. You were going to be just had to

finish your drink. That's a really, really good tag

drink. Will you drink it?

Louis. Oh well turkey, let's go.

Oh yeah, tell you what. Huh?

What a Wily be highly underrated, I love that.

Oh, it's delicious. It's great.

Really Russell's Reserve 10-year.

Love it. It's a novel bleep and they're

not even there. You know, all right.

No, but you're right. I mean he's coming into form.

I'm just dominant her Force right there.

So it'll be interesting to see if they run him the whole year

or the spots that they pick. And if he can have a I can't

believe I'll say it if he can have a bricks and mortar type a

year and actually make a case for horse of the year.

He's that good is that good? Is that talented?

And and I don't know an American Turf racing if there's a horse

anywhere near him. Well, I mean He's going to could

come down between him and life is good right now.

I mean, I think life is good. Is your horse the year for 2022.

I think you just give it to him, but speaking of life is good.

Yeah, speaking. Well there's Mega.

How do you say about Colonel William?

I agree with all the points that have been made that I think I

said the, the my Liam story on the show last year.

But I always felt bad because I transferred to a different

school. When I was in the fourth grade

different Catholic school and there was a Liam in my class And

the kids all made fun of him and just call them lame.

And I never heard of it. They named Liam before.

So, I just thought it was like, me.

I was lame. So, oh, boy.

Always, I want to apologize right now to lame or Liam her

every single time, but I participate in that unknowingly

so Colonel. Um, is anything but like the

lame? Absolutely, that's a great.

All right, let's let's move on. Then, let's look at life is good

domination in the Pegasus World Cup as they straighten for the

Drive 3/16 to go. Life is good, is still well

clear. S is Nick's goat or the in

That's the little boy back to Fourth and endorse less than an

eighth of a mile from home. Life is good as looking good.

Life is good. And I read Ortiz, Junior, they

ran them off their feet. In the Pegasus life is good.

On cloud nine, he won by three over next, man.

We were freaking robbed of a Triple Crown winner last year.

Huh, I don't feel that way at all.

Okay, I think that I think that horse is a freaking just Beast.

So, I think he's a beast to I, you know, he was, he was the one

that was running up against Maddie that spirit and his

Kentucky Derby prep races, right?

I mean, he kept going just beating him by open like the

last time, but it seems like it was a two of them for a while

who was going to be the better of the two.

I don't think anybody really expected Medina Spirit to come

out. And do what he did.

But the fact that life is good as been able to show how

impressive he is in his debut, want, he wanted six and a half

or a long. Send the one, the mile at Santa

Anita, then he stretches out again.

He comes back on the way up and Alan Jerkins, which is a grade

1. He finishes such a close second

to Jackies Warrior who at the time was a very, very impressive

horse screwed. Everybody on Breeders Cup but

that's fine. And then, you know, comes back

and is able to win a race like this at the his first time

going, the mile and an eighth. Since it was just, which was so

impressive. So, and the way he did it to, I

mean he did direct out towards the middle of the racetrack but

I don't know. He was kind of already, you

know, off the rail a little bit but I did think he ended up a

little bit further out which sometimes is a sign of fatigue.

I rather to use those just showing the whip at the end to

on the right side to keep the horse from going too far out.

But yep, you know, I'm interested to know kind of, if

that was just a matter of Fitness because this is, again

another words that's coming off, a layoff, you had been very

since November of Last year and had never gone that distance,

right? Right.

And I never got it. This is so one would think that

he would be tired, but he still seemed to do it.

Like it's not like he was, you know, really encouraging him

down the stretch or whatever that horse that everybody needs.

I would love to see his stride side by side with Maxfield.

He reminds me of Max feel that way where there's kind of this

wide second turn sort of run with him, doesn't seem to

matter. He still has his footing.

It isn't about what I want to say here.

It's, it isn't that he's tired. It doesn't have his footing.

Or isn't technically there, it's just coming off that lead.

He's a little bit wide on the turn.

He looked like Maxfield to me where Maxfield almost looked

like he was hopping when he ran and life is good.

Kind of looks like he's hopping to me.

JD is awfully slow because you just said, not slow, I'm sorry

because he doesn't even trying, you know what I mean?

It's like what your kind of like jogging.

I agree. They're not your thing, you're

really not putting much into it and then when you really get

going you screwed, then you get a, put your head down and go

forward but that's a A side of a horse Museum.

Horse or not and replay. Oftentimes like they're just not

trying anymore, they don't eat right?

So JD is offered to show the start and I want to do this

before you go there j.d. This was one of the Twitter

things that the Ortiz Brothers, colluded to give life as good

the lead. So that next year, they're gonna

they're gonna slammed and I will point this out because I want to

give credit to JD. Who says, two little boys going

to run a huge race and he did okay.

If you train stiletto boy, if you ride slow boy.

This is the path you want to take.

Get out front and try to win it, right?

They just it is what it is. That's Alexander.

Horse. That doesn't bus riding on the

front end. That's exactly right.

He needs to be out front. So JD go ahead and show the

video here. And so, you watch here to let

our boys, the three, like, there's the three.

It is the For Worse, right? Which I don't understand,

because the other thing about Gold Stream, Park my videos.

I don't know if it's going to continue a little bit, but you

don't have that long of a run into the hips to the turn.

It is boom. That's right that you have to

have enough speed to get your competitive positioning and

that's exactly what he did. So the whole thing that he shuts

off another horses, absolutely ridiculous.

He's putting his horse in the best possible scenario because

What happens if he doesn't do that?

Is that he what happened? The next go is that then all of

a sudden, you're shuffled, no, right.

Your shuffled know what happened in Mexico, you know what

happened to Nicole. He's not as fast as life is

good. That's what happened.

I've learned is because like it, can I rather do some life is

good. I mean, this source is taking

off like yeah, this song so fast.

He wants to go. I read his feet like totally.

Oh, look how wide he is there, right?

Exactly, he's key. That's the real very far off.

Off the rail, for part of that reason to try to slow this horse

down a little bit. So it doesn't you do too much

running because the second you put a horse on the rail, a lot

of times, they don't know, certainly for a lot of the

horses that I galloped in the mornings, you put them on the

rail and they're like, do you go?

That's exactly how you do it. Obviously, you want to, when you

get to the end, you might, excuse me, kind of come in a

little bit just because that's it's a better run like you would

do in track and field to you would want the inside.

This is listening so that you don't lose ground, but Yeah,

just look at him. I mean, he's just, this is the

rare combination of a horse, putting in an unbelievable run

in, life is good and a jockey understanding what he has to do.

To get the best out of the horse.

You don't see this all the time. You don't see a horse in the for

path on the on the back. So you know, on the backstretch

he. Yeah, where he comes to the

finish here. I mean he just showing the whip

is so smart here. I mean, hey we got to keep

running because he knows the horses is Definitely is a little

bit tired, too. I mean, you could tell us he was

starting for home. He gave the horse kind of one

reminder tap as they came into the stretch because it did look

like he kind of sucked back a little bit and that could be

tired or it could be. We talked about that a lot with

modern white girl. She would pull herself up

because she got to the front too early.

And then she was like, oh I beat everybody, I'm done.

And she would just kind of stopped running.

And so, for Haru had to be very careful with how we rode because

he had to keep her covered up at least a little bit or you know

how Be close enough to another or swear they were kind of right

on your tail. That she still had that

competitive drive because she was so smart, she took care of

herself and she was like, oh I don't have to do any more

running than I look like. She was like, work smarter not

harder. So yeah.

So that could be the case 244 horse like that.

There you go. Yeah, I mean I think you're

right Lou. I mean I think most people would

look at that ride and think that there wasn't much to it.

Horse broke out straight ahead, you know.

And we know, you know that horses are pack animals and A

horse to break away from the pack like that and go against

what it's never actually born and he's cut different men

special. And then again, the ride was

very tactical, even though he was never challenged.

So great stuff right there, we're going to get on this some

handicapping. We're going to stay at

Gulfstream Park because they've got a another really big day,

and we're going to start with the great three.

This is a day by the way that it always lined up with whatever my

fall break was. So, I have very fond memories,

you know, I would go to Florida, Derby Day a lot Gulfstream,

Wednesday in the 90s, but I was also at this day a lot because,

you know, you can jot down there for the weekend or what - what

were you doing in the 90s being born?

Yeah, yeah. Okay.

Just so I can keep going shit or was?

Yeah, so let's go on to the 74 long Sprint.

On the dirt, grade 3, Swale 100,000 are raised for

three-year-olds. Who do we like in this one?

Whoa, by the way, how much ESPN 680, love?

Did you get on the swing on Andy Sweeney show this year this

week? I mean, it was kind of

disgusting. I feel like I heard your name

every single time. I turn it on a freaking ESPN,

World War. I feel like they were talking

about you, so that's all right. I picked the 49ers and the

Chiefs on Friday on Bobby V show and that was obviously 0 for 2,

Heavy terrible, football handicapping.

So stick to the show. Not when I do there, do there

are, but So, to me, this is an interesting race because I out

of the six horses, I think for have a great shot at winning.

So, in terms of betting to me, I think you actually have to take

a stand here and pick one of them.

My sense is, it's going to be really difficult for the six mr.

Boma, in the to graphic detail to win this race.

So I think you should look at the other four.

The other four horses have, previously, run, six, furlongs

in a minute 9 all of them. Wow, so if you listen to this

show, I really value that. And for that reason, I'm going

to stay, I'm going to take a stand.

I'm going to use the for Dean delivers who ran into the gate

last time out and then was bumped at the start and lost by

a neck at 109 at six. Furlongs, I'm looking for

another solid performance here. S off the layoffs.

I understand the case for the other three major players.

In this race. But I'm going to stick my neck

out, I'm going to single the for in my pick for here and try to

get a price on him. I think he's the fourth favorite

May B to the third but I'm going to run with Dean delivers and

just assume he's not going to run into the gate this time.

All right now Megan you know we talked about a little bit

earlier about class going to class and be real easy to just

kind of look at this and be like oh the one raced in a grade one

but that doesn't necessarily mean that you know, you would

say the class is going to class. On the one horse, right?

I mean just because if they would have placed it had been

in, you know, different story. So I mean, the fact, the fact

that he was he was like second or third choice in that race and

in that I do something. But you also had Jack

Christopher in there who I believe was the heavy favorite

and he is coming back very very slow.

And then Command Performance ended up finishing second and I

don't know, I don't think the he ended up being what they Thought

he was going to be either. So Applejack Christopher, he's

injured to be great so they're shooting.

He's coming back. What I said that he's really

slow. Yes yeah it's all ready for a

breeze. I think he's I think he's

training at the moment like he's on the track so I don't think

he's technically injured anymore.

He's still coming back from that, from that injury, pretty

slowly. So they're just, they're not the

point that they thought they would be when we're talking

about the Kentucky Derby prep races, so, no, but you're right.

Mike, excuse me, I think in in a race like this, I look more

towards some of those allowance victories that were impressive

for the by VIN dreams who finished in that eighty thousand

dollar. Allowance rates by six lengths

and be chasing time. Who would go on to win his next

race? Against a?

I thought the kind of a subpar field but still, it was an

impressive performance and I know that they're thinking for

the rebel for that horse. For my race horse, so they

definitely think the Chase and time is the potential Derby

Contender. But yeah, I mean I think you

also have to consider a horse like the three of a revolution

for sappy Joseph who comes out of a Stakes race with a really

really good second place. I've heard as the favorite the

only lost by about half the length there and he's pretty

much he hasn't done anything wrong either.

So he comes out of immediately made in such a way to Victory

then they gave a little bit of time off and six months to be

exact. He comes back with the Victory

and then they're like, okay, let's do the next logical thing

and go to a Stakes race. As you know, you can make the

case for a horse. Like the five in dreams that he

started off Maiden special weight and obviously those are

very tough and Kentucky especially at a hundred and

twenty one thousand dollars for that.

Made me special wait. And then you get to the 150,000

Maiden claimer at Keeneland and also a Churchill.

Then they've dumped him up to the allowance levels.

But technically, you know, the progression of a horse like of a

revolution, seems to have a little bit more forward momentum

and he's had all of those races all of those real.

A good performance as without Lasix and you're talking about a

race where this horse is, none of those are going to receive

Lasix. So in dreams having that six

like score with latex added on race day, is another

consideration. So, I really think that every

revolution of quarter. One has a solid chance on here.

Well, obviously the, the winner of the Kentucky Derby, wouldn't

19 was 84 think it was, so this this is not necessarily usually

a derby prep race. There's no points here, every

once in a while, we see, Horse who kind of hops up and they

stretch out, and they make the field.

But a lot of these horses we will see run on Derby day.

I mean, it's not unusual for them to go progress to that.

So I think it's like this race and the San Vicente but are not

Derby, prep races, but sometimes feel like Derby prep races.

Yeah, I would do that. I mean, I don't know about this

awesome interns print, but yeah, but sometimes you see horses

with this, on their own, they're running lines.

Before they started out a little bit more.

Are you going to be okay? Me.

Yeah, that's all going to be just wanna make sure I know.

You're still sick. You're still sick little bit

right? I mean I'm doing I'm I just have

this annoying lingering cough but I'm 25.

Welcome to Long covid. I5 long.

All right let's move on to so just so we're clear.

Louis is on the for Megan likes the three on top when you know

with the as well as the for and also use of the three.

It's not the things you don't like There we go.

Quick picked in on Race Six, which is an amazing special.

Wait, it's on this weird. Synthetic course I didn't watch

that race by the way, I so I don't even know how to synthetic

ran. Would you all think of the other

racing on the synthetic Gulfstream?

Still, I mean we talked about it being not inform yet and all

that kind of stuff. That's exactly, right.

So by the way, last year Turfway was impossible.

This year Turf, we much all for make them all.

Yeah, no, no no. Yeah, you're right.

The same surface and it's much more predictable this year.

If way it's going to happen at Gulfstream as well everyone

settle down. I think why are people thinking

that that's the case. So like what is actual

scientific reasoning behind that?

Or is it just that it's harder? It's hard at the beginning.

So no it's the surface is less mixed up when you start and as

you work it in it becomes more like it essentially, like a good

Turf course and it becomes more predictable.

That way we have like track super superintendents saying

that no, we have are not just Twitter.

So we got an unpredictable course, your is exactly zero

percent chance that - check that.

But anyway, so don't attract people and the guy on Twitter,

I'll just I'll just ask Tyler great.

Essentially, what's happening is people are coming from the

synthetic horse, at Woodbine, and not winning a Gulfstream

because they're not acting the same, and I'm not making that

up, that's just true. And so, I've got ten 1429 in the

maiden special weight, you have to spread, right?

I mean this is an unpredictable course with lightly race Maiden

special weight. So I mean, it's Emma like it's

more that what you just said, Mike?

Then the course itself. It's just that you've got a lot

of first-time starters in here that we don't know what we're

going to get from them. So right I think it's more a

matter of temperatures. Got a first-time starter

patrick-man codes got first entire Crystal come on, that's

the first time starter, you know, temples our heads, another

one. So it's just that I think Is is

the big question mark. So, let me go back to what you

were talking about. If you see a horse who's coming

into this race, he's raced at Woodbine, are you, is it affect

what you think about them and them and, yeah, it's Cassie.

I tousle. All right, toss and Cassie.

All right, normally I'm Mark but you said you're using the to

Could you pick you? I got the to end the night.

Actually other both would buy shippers.

Okay? As my fourth, it as my fourth

and fit pics. Thank you, everyone for

following along. Good job on your homework,

especially JD being the Canadian like bracing Guru.

So he's on top of it too. All right, let's move on.

Did you bring a pig bacon or do you have nothing to add to

Louise? I mean, this is one of those

races that I would, definitely, I would recommend watching The

Paddock and seeing what the horses look like with so many

first. Starters, I definitely think

that Microsoft come on horses. One to take a look at in here,

remote, with Tyler. Gaffney on a board Christoph.

Putting it 17% of this first time starters and more.

So just the fact that you've got a horse debuting at a mile and

70 yards and he went bit like 18% with debuting over a mile so

it seems like the the type that probably has shown he's got you

know an affinity for more distance and what I learned is

we lost Loot and Tyler, Tyler and Chris and reassuring.

Are you aware that I've been doing really well?

But I like 25% together. So if I had to pick one quick

pick, that would probably be it but tap the gavels will be an

interesting potential form trap play for some people to for

Belmont. He really disappointed last time

but we'll see as he steps onto the synthetic for the first

time. All right, let's move on to the

kittens. Joy, it is a great 300,000.

I reach for three-year-olds some mile and a sixteenth.

The turf course Louis, who do you?

Like actually I have a feeling you're going to like them all in

this one. Maybe like here.

Louis Mike knows me very well by the way, Bill marketing at 7% on

the synthetic. So go ahead and listen to Megan.

The race seven Kings, Joy, doesn't race anywhere else on

synthetic which means he sucks in Miami.

All right. So kids Joy is going to be

expensive because I'm punching all and Mike.

Yes, I'm talking about all the horses.

But I promise you, I will keep it quick, the one Grant Sonata,

the, a tried danger, both coming out of steaks, wins at

Gulfstream Park. They are includes the for

speaking. Scout loss to read danger by a

head last time out. That's an include the seven

father. Glad oh no, that's not a

Catholic thing. Who's 821 finished?

Third by a length behind grandson out of the ones.

That's an include the six Royal Spirit broke his Maiden last

time out. And I love the maiden in open

company for the first time angle.

So, we're going to include the five.

Sheldon's Prince probably doesn't win but picks up.

I read. So that's an include the to

coinage ran in the BC the Breeders Cup juvenile Turf.

They think a lot of this horse was more Cassie and Luis saez.

So we're going to include there and then the three red knobs

probably has the worst chance to win here but if I don't punch

that horse it's gonna win after fall over.

That's exactly right. And so I'll include.

So I'm going all in this leg of the middle pick for Okay, I like

Grandpa. Not I agree with you.

There might give coinage a little bit of a look.

I mean, I don't love that some of the sources best races seem

to have been those New York bread, restricted races at

Belmont and Saratoga. So I don't know, but I do like

the the knights password coming in here especially off of the

layoffs from November. And did you mention the force

gold obviously? Right.

Because you picked all. I am war in the third slot for

me. Yes.

Okay. I do.

Like speaking Scout quite a bit for ground motion.

Putting the blankets on possibly, going to show a little

bit more speed. This is or two, you know, hasn't

really shown what we saw from in at the racetrack like Delaware

and even Saratoga to we showed a little bit more early go.

And and I think he probably just needs to get into a little, the

race a little bit more. So I wouldn't be surprised if

that's the tactic taken by Junior albarado and especially

with those shades on and if you like that horse, then you kind

of have to like run danger. Who exactly is right there.

They are Finish 1272 to but I actually feel like that's a

little bit low of a price for this horse.

I think he's going to take a lot of action and I don't know that.

I like them that much, obviously, give him that, right?

I mean seven, she's not a heavy heavy favorite, but I don't know

if I if it got much lower than that.

I would be less inclined to want to use him.

Everywhere. All right, Louis, I already

said, I took it all. What do we got?

We got one more. We got one more race in your

middle pick for here. That's the for gal, and we're

going to move on to the for gouge.

It's just, you know, basically the female version of the of the

soil, right? So, all right.

Yeah, it's time for a long here. Great 300,000.

Erase for gal, was a the champion two-year-old, Philly of

1970. So there you go for that. 112

out of 26 starts. I always loved the history.

Blessings that you give us big puzzle.

It's important, right? Like you know there's a reason

why these horses are named with their named and argue very

strongly with her name to him. We got him.

Uh-huh. So is this carrying Oaks point.

So unlike the Swale swelled is not carried every points.

This does karaoke points is not the Ford.

Gal is better acquainted to the holy ball.

That's right. Yep.

Okay to the holy book as far as far as points for four points,

right? But for perspective, race on the

First Friday in May. Yeah.

So we have Ten Oaks points on the line here in this race.

And Louis of courses are Philly whisper when it comes to picking

Oaks horses. So, hey ladies.

All right, so Louis who do you like in this race?

All right, so I have 26 girl, with a Dream On Top, Brad Cox

Luis saez, the Cox numbers, make all the sense in the world.

So 28% of a short layoffs, 30% back-to-back winners, 28% with

saez recent, you just say, girl with Dream Cox.

And on top in the same sentence that was intentional.

Thank you for noticing, she seems to be on the improve it,

if she gets better. I actually think there's a

chance she cake walks this one. Now, the the five Radio Days is

the 825 favorite and that's based on two terrific

performances. One at that, excuse me at

Belmont wanted Aqueduct. They're flying.

Dylan Davison for this man is a person who watches jockey Choice

really closely. I appreciate that.

I think he's really nice jockey and last year's winner.

There's AA, she'll actually was a New York strip or herself, so

that's a pretty obvious included me.

I don't love the layoffs but the seven Diamond Wow.

Broke her maintenance at Gulfstream that turn around and

want to seven Furlong listed Stakes.

The next month, also, a Gulfstream.

We talk about what season it is that you win at Gulfstream.

So I understand that those two races were not during the

championship mean. It's not her fault that she was

a two-year-old. At that time, they did right by

this Philly, they gave her a few months off.

They're bringing her back in the spot to see if she's got the

stuff to run on the Oaks. Include her II think that, you

know, they think that there might be something here.

So I'm 657 in the forward Galley.

All right, Megan. All right, I think that you're

definitely right about radio days and then bringing in Dillon

Davis, the fact that he's already gotten along with this

horse twice, you've been bored two times, he's got two wins

with the last separate at seven, furlongs on the fast, track at

Aqueduct, being a win, my eight lengths.

So I mean, he certainly are she rather sorry?

Now, she's great honor of thought or a Gunrunner it showed

her stuff. That's a, I like girl with a

dream as well. So I'll probably include that.

Although I really like the performances by radio days and

then interesting, the diamond. Wow, you know, I almost like

that listed Stakes, recycle Stream Park, not just because

it's seven for a long time, obviously at this track, but I

that win means more to me than the second place by ahead in the

grade to adjustment. Because that was the race that

California, Angel, one, and you know, this diamond wild I think

is a little bit more of a speed or said, no speed that day.

I don't know if it was just a matter of didn't break very

well. I'd have to go go back and

really try to identify it but, you know, I don't know.

I I just felt like that was such a weird race for, and set up

really well for the closer's that I don't know that I buy it

in her form as much. So I like her local experience

and I'll probably use her for that and Patrick Banquo, and

obviously, when I 18%, right now for the meat, so you gotta like

that and the fact that you get Rajiv Mirage, like number two.

Yeah, he does it. He's done really well with her

already. Every I think that those are the

horses. That you probably have to watch

a year and gratitude is interesting.

You know, with the local experience, the winner of the

seven furlongs here at Gulfstream Park last time.

And I just realized I forgot to cancel my rental car for my

trip. That I'm not important right

now. I don't know why that came in my

brain, but but the fact that the source comes in with a nice

quick worker, long workout at the models.

But basically a private training, sir.

But, but, yeah, that that effort, I think.

Yes, it is. That is a good one for her to

come into this, to this race too.

So, I think it's all about those sources for me.

If you didn't get a long shot, I mean, Carlos, David is an

excellent trainer, so maybe you just place you so beautiful for

funsies, by the way, behind the scenes.

People don't know, the longest phone conversation I've ever had

with Megan was when she was in a rental car in Florida, they go.

I am not a good texture at all like not not good.

Doesn't even do it justice. It's great.

Heard of an Irish you have wi me and I turned around and it was

Jimmy Graham be there across from floor rajguru radar

fluorides agent and yeah JD was like yep that was the time but I

know that voice and turned around but I was coming back

from Hot Springs and they were going there or so she had to go

South Dakota. We all.we Everybody just

whatever. We're all waiting for our

flights and yeah. So by the way, my pic for is on

the screen, this is by the way, predicated on a very bold,

single in the first leg with the for.

So yeah. So good luck with everything but

it does cover you in the synthetic race.

Gives you all that Turf race and then I think almost certainly

the favorites in the last. So for in race 5 and then 1 2 4

9, 10 in Race, Six, all in race seven and then five.

In seven, erase eight, sixty bucks dollars to play the big

four if that if that hits but that's a thousand dollar type

pick for for sure. Okay.

So that race eight, though is also the start of the late Pick

5 and the second leg of a pig 5 is going to be one of our Quick

Fix because it is just say optional claimer, but it's got

some familiar names in there that we're going to.

We're going to see this. By the way, would be like Mike's

Mike's picking a name horse. There's lots of choices in here.

Joe DiMaggio would be a you know.

Yes. Okay, boy would Be picking a

name thing. You know, I gotta love the, He

Hate Me reference, I love that touch.

So I'm just in here and Iraq and some other things that people

vote. I'm hopefully, you all can hear

me. My audio kiddo?

Yeah, we can hear. Okay, just my headphones just

unplugged so give me a second but yeah, that's That's what we

got to be a good race. Do you like as a quick pic?

Here, you hate me. All right, I don't have a quick

pic, I'm gonna apologize. I would usually not spend a lot

of time on an optional climber, but here are the horses in this

one. Candy Man rocket, who was a win

in the wood away from the Derby last year and won the same?

F Davis. Ball and raised on who lost a

Whitmore in the Breeders Cup Sprint at Keeneland prevalence

who ran in the wood of the Pate my last year, soup and sandwich

who ran in the derby, it will be making his inaugural appearance.

Congratulations on the unofficial Derby Cup this year

as the last place finisher that's a great pickup by the

way. If you want to go to is it our

place Lakers on our place on top level at Poplar and then they

have them actually never great if you want them.

Okay. I had never Seen those before

you gave me that be fantastic. They're terrific areas.

By the way, if you ever order something from the horse-racing

happy hour get a hat. Whatever I always send a couple

of those cups out. People know that anything you

have nothing order right now but you know, if that ever happens,

yes, we need to restock our saddle.

All right. So and then coastal defense ran

into Clark, the Pegasus World Cup and the Santa Anita handicap

in 2821. This is a wild field.

So I'll take coastal defense. The five, the last time you ran

in something, not graded. He won.

So I'll just put them on top top.

Pleasure has the seven War stopped or dropping out of state

company. All glued him with irad.

Build Mott is good of long layoff.

So include the 12K demon rocket in the nine.

Prevalence is just he's talented.

He gets Tyler. So I'm 5 7 12 and 9 in this

random awesome grade. Three optional cleaner coastal

defense Jose Ramon last race going up against you know horses

like Maxfield Races to go went up in Lost to Mexico and now

he's in this optional thing right there it is up there you

go. Meghan this that's the

definition I guess of class go clasp I don't know but go ahead

class might have class. Yeah.

Question mark I'd like that. We lost those like plastic so I

might lose. Yeah, a little kid.

Yeah, that's one of those hostages.

We still care. We stock I like Artemis City

Limits a bit for maker with Javier casts a lot o aboard.

So I think. Yeah.

All right, so there's a quick pic on that one.

So we're gonna move on to the Swedish chant steaks, which is

race tended as a great three. Of the awesome prevalence,

wanted to mention that one too. Okay.

Sorry. One of five grade three Stakes

of this day and this is amount of 16th on the chart for three

old Phillies hundred, a hundred thousand dollar race.

And Louis, who do you like here? Including two local say from

well recently. So the six ocean Safari, the 20

Polina oceans for I just finished second by a half-length

and in front of a Polina, think of repeat that for him.

They'll be part of the equation here Trader.

Tim has done a really Nice job with the eight Bell charge who's

five to one on the Morning Line, Dirt than synthetic, then Turf.

Really had to figure out what this horse is going to do.

Includes a lost by ahead in the Presque Isle debutante.

Megan once took a private jet to Presque Isle.

I don't want anyone to forget this, this horse, there it is

Bank battle charge. I don't even have that in my

notes, it's just in my head forever.

Battle charge is always right there at the end.

And I don't see any reason in this company that you shouldn't

be there with the addition, especially if Jackie, Tyler

definitely own. So I think she's an absolute

include. So I'll take the two locals in

battle charge six to an eight in my my ticket are private jet.

The got the weirdest humblebrag ever she played.

So what are we doing? Mike is not interested in

Bitcoin prices. No, I don't do.

But I'm the only one on here. Yeah, I got it.

JD JD says, can we take a private jet to a cinema down all

my weight on top Lily would be? Yeah.

For it. Oh my God, my heart.

Just stopped for at least four seconds.

Oh my God. Love those people.

I had a bit. I had a Manitoba Derby party at

my house. Let's go.

Manitoba Derby party. Might have been invited to that.

The next race is a form, edit /, Saskatchewan, North Dakota,

South Dakota brats. All right, Megan, who do you

like in this race? I love it.

Nostalgic for sure, for Belmont and Junior Alvarado who picks

up. I'm out for the first time.

So I think I think this one could see a little bit of a of

an improved here, you know, when the myelin date last time in the

grade to demoiselle and and I don't know, I'm willing to kind

of give her another shot. She's only had two races on the

first song was that seven like score in a maiden special weight

race? But but I think that she's

pretty talented and and she could be there those.

I should say we're both dirt races but I think that bill Mott

No, it's good with any type of a horse and I think he's certainly

has the ability to spot a horse that might do a bit better on

the grass and so I wouldn't be surprised if she is one of those

maybe she kind of just, you know, grew up a little bit as

well, enter three-year-old year and they're like, I think the

sources we should try the green with her.

So willing, to give her a shot at 9220 Polina, obviously has

the grass experience. He's had those five races so far

and she really hasn't done much wrong for Worse effort was You

know, result rather was at Fifth Place, finish for was a blanket

finish. And we lost by a little bit over

length, so I definitely think that one is right there as well.

A grand motion. Could have a big day, the wind

for the for Philly. How do we say that ambient to

you these two years? Okay yep.

That one exactly how the race card is going to call it too.

Yeah, you know, she she had the first race on grass and it was

an okay performance and then was on the synthetic hair, go

through Park, and now they're moving her back over the grass.

But she's coming in looking pretty fit with the numbers that

that she's run in the morning. And who is the other one I

wanted to mention here, there was.

So it was the the seven miss you.

Ella 10 to 14, Chad Brown. My router teeth.

When do we ever get 10 to 12 of them on a turd with China?

Adam. Yeah.

There's been a ton of one. That's right.

Yeah, granted. Granted, you know, her win again

came over the synthetic similar to the ground motion, which is

the same way cameras synthetic she did race with place except

day, she was a heavy favorite. So I don't know that that brings

kind of the conversation of the who did she beat, right?

But but yeah, I mean it's Chad Brown my route on the turf.

So mad cat horse. Like I I've seen this before so

I'll include her because I'm afraid of Bring her out and

every success. So you only the only thing I'll

say here, Megan talked about nostalgic.

First time Turf and turf to dirt for Belmont.

Excuse me. Dirty shirt from Belmont.

Is 8%? Yeah that is one of the she's

she is. So I'm against that horse for

that reason. By the way, that's I agree.

I looked at the horse, I was like, oh wow, there's something

here with the buyer numbers, all those other things, but his

personal numbers that way, excluded, that horse for me from

the ticket. Yeah, Bill.

Martin jr. Alvarado.

Won this race. Last Here I loved you.

Dear Alvarado ought to be able to record with that, but

ironically this there's only been one trainer to win this

race in back-to-back years and it was not them it, but it was

Chad Brown. Who own this race won?

Six straight. So he's won this race.

He won the traits. No one else has ever won

back-to-back. I disagree.

Chad Brown knows nothing about Turf racing.

I will take my chances on that server.

I like it a lot that is that is the, that is the classic Mike

and also across the board pick right there.

So I'll do that. Are you lonely bet to win or

what? Except for?

I don't know. I'm gonna go across the board

Charlie honey. Listen.

All right, so let's move on to the the main event.

The Chad ground PA bread. Interesting.

Chad Brown could train it Alaska bread.

But still, but the North Dakota South Dakota Alberta

Saskatchewan bread. It's got 100%.

Yes. So I mean you need a fellow as a

Pennsylvania Brad, you know, idea the the font the, the main

event is the great theater Three, Holy Bull.

And these do have some Derby points.

And again, named after the great horse, holy rule bull, who won

the Florida Derby? I believe, yeah, he definitely

won the Florida, believe in 94. Maybe this used to be called the

preview steaks. Yeah it was found in 1990, he

actually did not win the Derby night for go for Jin did but he

Holy Bull. Did when the Florida Derby.

So yep. This has been a great race for

many years. Louis who do you like in this

one? It's just a great horse neighing

to, by the way. I I'm going off the board here a

little bit. I think the eight white of

Barrio saffy Joseph Tyler. Ran the disappointing third in

the Kentucky, Jockey Club. But he has that routing

experience now has been training, Eagle Street Park, he

seems to love the surface 242 lifetime.

There should be a part of the equation.

I love that 821 number. I'm not sure we'll get it but I

can only go on morning lines. At this point if the to mow

Donegal brings his Remsen form South he can and should win.

I think we learned that last year with a horse like mellow

that who train to New York and they got that not as deep sort

of track that they have in New York and other places.

Wait, what? What track is not be open here,

all of them are deep is what I'm saying?

Oh okay, especially in Queens. I just have hard doubts about

horses who show their best form in the fall of their

two-year-old campaigns. That's not his fault though.

Pressure Pletcher. I read hitting at 26% in a

substantial sample, size a Gulfstream Park, that's an

included. Me simplification, the for ran a

massive race in the mucho Macho, Man on New Year's Day at

Gulfstream Park, he'll have to show that he can go to turns.

It is a hashtag stretch out, Susan, so we'll find out if he's

a router or not. At least we know a mile isn't

too much for him in the nine Giant game.

Great game. Third and the British cup

juvenile. Yeah anybody yeah.

There's no reason to think there's no reason we can't be

better here. I'm not a dill Romans fan.

I think that's pretty established on this show

recently at least not not passed and not for his personality but

ever else. This is a talented son of giants

Causeway. So I'm going to include I'm

eight-to-four. 9 inches. Okay, Meghan.

I Really think I like the ninth in here Giant game.

If he shows any kind of performance like what he showed

in the Breeders Cup juvenile. I mean I know he lost by three

lengths, a date. I don't think anybody was going

to be coordination and I was very adamant about that before

the race, but the comment line says hung her him.

But that means he's well-endowed From into the Breeders Cup

Juvenile and obviously they give them some time to grow up there

as I give them a layoff from November but I thought like

looking, you know, at the pictures and video and

everything. Leading up to the Breeders Cup.

He was one of the horses that really caught my eye.

I thought you was physically very impressive.

And so, I'm kind of curious to see what he's going to bring to

to this race. And, you know, Dale looks like a

dad, right? Just cause way.

He's an impressive looking. He's an impressive looking cold.

I agree. Yeah, I just remember him

physically, but I remember coloring but but, but yeah, I

just thought he was a pretty impressive when you know he

certainly is a is a must include mode.

Honorable, I agree with you there, if you brings us a of the

game that we saw at Aqueduct and and then simplification as well

is the local horse, you know, do you do use this one?

I don't know. I think he's I prefer some of

the others in here, especially since he's got just that one

route race and granted, he did win it by four lengths, but the

rest of his efforts were at a sprinting distance and then

you've got that Sprint on the synthetic to.

So I just don't really know what to make of them.

But I'm very interested to see what we get from Tis.

The bomb in here who is nice that kind of an unofficial

official Breeders Cup winner live right here.

Ooh, because modern games was disqualified.

So to the bottom one, it but didn't win it.

But I just remember this horses performance in the bourbon

actually came and he, you know, we talked about some of those

forces that just they finish, he kind of runs that way.

Anyways, he's a bit of a high-headed horse, but he

finished like that and he finished like, he had so much

left, but those were on the grass.

And, you know, we did start his career at Ellis Park, he won by

14 lengths. In his Maiden special weight

score. But since every, he hasn't been

back on the dirt and that that Mi ree said Ellis is kind of

that one tarnish race, right? They kind of like, slant into

the turn and then they make a turn, and they've got one, so, I

don't know. It seems like his dirt races

have kind of been more sprinty. And we're talking about a mile

to 16th Grace, all the dirt. So I don't know, especially for

a horse to who it is, made in such a way score here.

He had the lead, he said, the fractions from beginning, but

now he's going to get some Kickback potentially especially

in the six hole. If he's not able to get to the

front, how's it going to deal with that on the dirt as

compared to the grass? So I have, I have some concerns

but I am very interested because get even because is not a dumb

guy. So the fact that this or what

three-year-olds yeah, yeah, exactly.

The fact that his worshippers of here definitely made me take

notice and to be something to watch in the form.

I think everyone. Looks at buyers and you know,

whatever else, the weight that horses have to carry in these

kinds of races is really interesting.

So Tis, the bomb because of his results has to carry the same

amount of weight as a mode article, for example, right?

So if you have to carry 124 pounds in this kind of race, it

means that you've done something in your career, you've been in

the front, You've Won and so I love that you're talking about.

This horse is not one that I brought up, but it means that

he's a freaking winner, right? Tractor 124 pounds.

Would your 3? That's that's a statement

because by the way Giant game that we both like 118 pounds.

Yes, 6-pound Advantage. This is essentially a handicap,

right? And so it's very cool that they

also are flying in Bryant Hernandez for this race.

I appreciate that. Another, this is a Dylan Davis.

Bryant Hernandez similar kind of guys so it's cool to Kenny's

flying him in for this but Like its kind of talk to me.

I think, I mean, this, this is, I don't know what to do.

I mean, I don't know what to do. That's fair that Kentucky, I

will say this, the Kentucky Downs, Turf course, was very

hard this year and the Del Mar Turf course is a California Turf

track, right? For you, at least.

At least you've got, you know, to it's not like, all his races

were like Keeneland and kind of those deeper softer.

There's and, you know, Saratoga or whatever.

I mean, this potentially they were a little bit rockier.

So I like that, when we're talking about the switch to the

dirt surface because all we have to go off of, is those two early

releases on the dirt, but I think he's a talented or

overall. I just, I just don't know what

to do with them here, but I think he's worth a look.

Well, I guess I think this is a race to that is, you know, even

though it's a just a 10-point race, it's kind of like this

pedigree. So it is a great being rich, but

historically, this is you and really start learning about

these three year olds and what their three-year-old forms going

to be to serve. This was Barbaro.

You know, he not his coming out. Party was a second greatest

Stakes win but it was his first great shakes.

When was that a lesser known track?

And this is like his first step. If anything big league, we saw

Shanghai Bobby come into the race and, you know, was

unbeaten. And then he got beat here in the

Never Was the Same afterwards. You had audible announcing his

presence and getting his first. Steaks win in this race tizzle.

All we mentioned just because the bomb Tis the law.

First three-year-old win was in this race and, and, you know,

looked amazing here. And so, they're going to Vera

who ended up winning for Gary came in, second in this race and

kind of announced his presence as a contender.

So you as a frosty came in second to bit Kimberly but

that's alright. So, and made seven million

dollars or something? I love to own guns.

Gonna barely won at. No, I I don't think you should

read too much into this race, but I definitely think that

there's there will be things here that we look back on that

happen in this race that you wanted to pay attention to, you

know. So sure important important race

to watch. Okay.

So let's finish up real quick with another quick pic so that

Louis can have his late, Pick 5 all set and this is great twelve

sixteen thousand dollars. Meaning price and starts a

thirty. One thousand dollar race in my

own the turf. Who do we like your Louis?

This is me. Kevin kirstine curse race.

He'd never want these to be commissioned.

A picture card. Megan's giggling because I'm

right. All right, so include the you.

All right. Yeah, the Tory, Kim first off

the claim for for trainer, Martin Drexler who hits at 21%

with firsters. He wanted a sneaky 21 percent

last year. He and Louis, jocular sizes are

24. Two together.

Pletcher has the 12 Mo ready in for his lowest tag ever while he

didn't win last year. He ran a 94 speed figure over to

turns on the turf. At Saratoga I read in the mount

could we get a repeat of that form?

I'm interested in that. So I'm going to go weirdly I'm

going to go thin in the last leg 10 and 12 in this race Megan.

Well I'm also making a question real quick before we go in

because on the dirt racing Gulf Stream.

Were the starting line is being to turns.

If you run that outside post positions, it's like the kiss of

death. Is it talk to people?

Why? It's not that way on the turf

course. Or is it, though?

You're basically starting and going right into the turn and

I'm ready. 10 to 12, which is well taken.

Yeah, for sure. I mean, I really just think it

depends on what yours is running style.

Is I mean it matters but the speed or is for sure because if

you can't you know if you're hung out wide already and you

can't get that competitive position that you want.

Then you have a lot less options but if you're a horse that comes

from off the pace or needs the cover, then it kind of is Is,

you know, you could break from the gate, talk in a little bit

and then work your way up and you've got the backstretch to do

most of that. But but I really think it

matters, dirt orator if it matters more so on the horses

running style. So you know excuse me a horse

like the the 12 Mo ready. I don't necessarily think this

is a need the lead type of horse but he has done a lot of his

best running when he has been on the front end or very close to

it. So it definitely matters for

words like that who you know is is Coming out of here and needs

to get that positioning, especially about the way up to

you. Got to hope that he's like sharp

from the gate and he's ready to go.

I also like the 10 there, who Louis mentioned, with pachauri

kid, who was previously treated by Rob atris.

He does a really, really good job of hitting his wife.

Brittany, I like those two horses, but I think you, I don't

know if this is a race where I would get skinny on.

I think those are probably the We winners but it, I don't know.

This feels like one of those races that just blows up your

tickets, you know, especially with the ratings agree,

especially with the race before talking about the, the Holy Bull

and we just mentioned a lot of horses at some pretty decent

prices that, you know, could could we stop it?

Put the lotion in the basket. I like the double angle by the

way. That's really rich.

I like that a lot. Like someone off the board and

in the Holy Bull especially yes. I agree with you.

Yeah. But I bet even like the three

horse Peru for Peter Walter that one could be right there as well

stretching back, of course. Yeah.

So I think there's a number of horses.

You could go for it here in the 52 is take a little bit of a

cough drop as well, so All right, Louis let's push up.

Look at your pick five ticket here, have you folks?

I mean heavy, it's all three horses.

Four horses, two three, four, three two two.

Seventy two bucks. Yeah it's not that bad 5 6 7

then 5 7 9 12 to 6 8 2 4 and 10 12. $72, if you have that kind

of money, good for you. I am much more likely to play

the pick three were going to talk about Ed naira.

Hmm I also like that middle pick for a lot.

I really feel strongly about that single and to pick for a

Gulfstream. So this is your least likely of

your Exotics that we multi-race sequences that you're putting

out there. I'm trying to be a ticket

douchebag on Twitter and so that's what I'm doing.

But I held much hoping the Yeah, so the yeah, right the nairo.

Number one. The Earth, the middle.

Pick for it, at a Gulfstream over 2 and then that one number

three. Yeah, there you go.

Okay, so we're going to move on to Aqueduct in and we're going

to talk first about the grade 3 toboggan which is seven furlongs

on the dirt for four year olds and up hundred fifty thousand

our race. First off Megan what is a

toboggan? Didn't we have this discussion?

Yeah it's just an annual thing. Yes we're going to rebuild it

and wearing this for a reason - for a reason you do.

Yeah, here. So I could remember we talked

about on the show or if I talked about that here at the house,

but it is a hat were a sled, but my husband calls the hat that

you're wearing a toque because that's what Canadians call it

and add your husband's right by the way, was born in Canada and

I never heard that before. So what you're wearing has many

names beanie toboggan to I don't even Know if you've got another

name for it to happen. Yeah yeah so obviously that's

it's a southern thing to call the wool the knit hat a toboggan

but I guess it is technically a sled whatever.

So yeah so Louis this is the 123rd running know that was in

2016. I'm sorry.

This is 128 when I think of the toboggan good night.

Yeah. So hit.

There you go. Awesome.

Yeah a lot of History in this race.

Who do we like here to me? This looks like a match race

between the five. Happy medium before hopeful

treasure with a pretty obvious decided Advantage.

For happy. Medium 25.

He's one of my morning line. It's too bad frankly because you

would hope that that hard thousand dollar races, we would

attract more horses. But if you're playing the early

sequences, then I would single the five and it's boring.

But it is what it is. Yeah, I agree.

I mean, I think the three has a little bit more.

Back class. I'm hesitant to say I mean he's

placed in some graded stakes races and some stakes races, but

I think his best, obviously his best performances in that

allowance re so I think he's right on par with the five happy

medium, but if you wanted to add another one, then that's that's

a possibility. You've also got the, for hopeful

treasure, who actually is a great three winner coming out of

that last race. And that was with that Lasix.

On race day, and one by ahead at a pretty big price.

But can you repeat that performance?

I'm not really sure. This is one of these favorite

races, I think because they've got all the stud fees.

And here, you've got a twenty five hundred dollars per drafted

100%. Well, 12, 54, the five happy

medium 7500 for the, for 10,000, for the to and the most

expensive 25,000 for the 32 one shot.

More civilized time. Let's go.

Yeah. This race.

Drafted one happy medium came in.

Second hopeful treasure came in third.

So draft. It would try to become the first

horse to repeat in the toboggan since 11:00 and 12:00 when

calibrachoa it wasn't last year. No, it's about two years ago,

right? So worth mentioning Jose Ortiz,

state in New York for this weekend.

When there's all that money, you know what?

Holy crap, what's wrong? I'm looking at.

I'm looking at horse racing Nation, right?

Shout out to I guess the horse racing Nation.

Well, I'm flattered. They literally have the, you

know, the past performances and race results of you can go and

see. They've got it down that for the

for this race for already. That's why I said trapped a

happy median. Hopeful treasure in this race

because they've got a already down there.

Like that's going to be. So, listen, if that is, he does

being If that it ends up being resolved and we need to start

looking into like, you know, let's fix time travel stuff.

Yeah, right. Yeah.

They got the day 2526. A has a time-travel machine.

Yeah. Which by the way would be the

American power won this last year by the weakest waste of a

time travel machine ever. That's funny.

I'm very sorry about that. I should have paid more

attention to the date. All right.

Can we move on everything out that that drafted not going to

have Dylan? Davis aboard by Jose Ortiz is

like a pretty. Okay, you're fooling.

Yeah, go to our backup, Jose Ortiz, call in the reliever.

All right. So let's move on to the withers.

Again, this is another horse race that has been around for a

very long time. The inaugural run of the withers

States occurred in 1874. Why an edge Rome racetrack?

This is why history again in the in the withers, the withers is a

mile and eighth on the dirt. Three-year-olds there's some

dirty points here as well. 250,000 dollar purse Louis, who

you like in this race, everyone is going to Focus on the nine

early voting. It's good.

Reason, Brown Jose 30% at Aqueduct, son of gun Runner The

figure just come through the last couple of years in this

one, too. So with risk-taking max player.

I expect this trend to continue if you wanted off the board type

who has run really well. Recently, look at the 11 could

Creek ran second in the grade 3 Nashua and throwing the in the

Jerome over the slop son of vocal Mo has already made a

hundred thousand dollars that's in the 11 horse here.

By the way, I think he at least hits the board even further off

the board. We're going deep.

Is it to is the to Grantham we're in second on debut in a

one hundred and sixteen thousand dollar Maiden special weight in

November at Churchill Downs, broke his main that Turf way.

Which has increased its by the way as persons in the six

thousand dollar rate at me especially with a 280 thousand

dollar purchase has War front and Arch as granddad's if you

want to 6 9 and 10 in the last. I really early voting though, I

think is a favor for good reason Megan.

Yeah, I agree there on early. Voting.

I mean the fact that cook Creek is finished some really good.

Third and second place efforts recently, against some good

company is is notable and he's got those two wins obviously.

But it early voting doesn't really have to do too much here.

Just has two shows that he can go a little bit longer.

He's had that one in a mile but that's all he's done so far.

But the only other horse that I thought about including for like

half a second. But I talk to myself off of his

the for that's my off-the-wall pick.

If we was going to have one I'd say probably the four.

Beige, for Bill. Martin Kendra Carmouche who is

writing in 20% right now, but doesn't often team up with

Elmont but this is sort of comes off.

A layoff here, he's got the distance experience thus far as

the my land of 16th and he's done that three times.

I'll be at not here at the at the New York tracks that was at

humid and and Churchill Downs. You did every race at Saratoga

but it was a Sprint race and he finished except day so I don't

know. I'm going to comes off the

layoff, he's had some kind of slower looks like endured

stamina building. My workouts.

But other than that, I don't know.

He's my Longshots picking here. All right, so Louis this is the

middle leg of your prestigious. Late Pick 3 Sequence at

Aqueduct. You want to give the rest of the

bed here since you're so excited about this.

Oh Louie, we lost your sound. Oh your.

There's no pardon. Much coughing.

So I You okay. There I am.

Let me double-check these things.

Um, You're singling the three? No, I'm not.

You're not, I'm not, I sent JD the wrong stuff.

Oh, that's okay. All right.

Okay, well look hashtag, let's go ahead and drink it.

You know what everybody messes up.

Sometimes there's so much to do. I also was a an elementary

school teacher for three children today.

Oh yeah. It's a monster.

All the burden of the world. So, so so do we have?

So I do actually so in can we he's like, yo, making the Louise

looking for it and he can kind of give me a little signal when

he's ready to go or something like that.

But as you know, it's kind of interesting because we were just

he's mentioning about the Holy Bull and how we can learn a lot

about horses. And it the withers is the exact

opposite. I mean, they're this race is not

really factored in to the derby picture for many years.

Friendly Fire did run second in this race at one time.

It kind of goes to show. Just how the for to track the

Florida. Like tract to the Kentucky Derby

is just way more. I don't want to see important

prestigious maybe then the new or track the the New York

trainers go to Florida, send their best strings down to

Florida. Yeah.

Plus I don't really keep their horses in in New York if that's

going to be there, Derby horse there a string, right?

I mean, so I think it's just a matter of the inventory that you

have to work with. You know, I think the I don't

know. It's it's not unlike like the

Lexington. Like it's you if you have a

worth ready and Kentucky, it came under going to send it in

the Bluegrass if you can write, probably not Alexei.

Well, I'm just glad the overall New York, the New York path.

To the Kentucky Derby has been in struggled.

It has struggled for sure. Yeah I just because I just don't

think you have the best horses. So why would there be a is Vita?

What is universal? New York finisher, the last

couple of years. probably try not to go back and look and see

across the board or just coming out of the wood in general.

It's been a while. I mean honestly because even so

think of zaj are thinking of mouth on, excuse me, they

shipped her out of New York. Bubonic is virtually all cities

and Vermont which was last year. Yeah.

And so I did some I'll a pic32 JD hopefully that little pop up

soon but I agree. There it is 45.

Then the nine singled in the blank, with the 13th Place,

finish the Derby, go ahead, the nine single weathers, and then

6:9-10, I played, I'm going to play for three bucks of the

pick. Three eighteen dollars to make

the BET cool. Yeah.

But your passion like this is this is your this is my best bet

of this show. Show with these legitimate,

apologies for whatever came up on screen earlier.

Yeah, all right. There you go.

All right. Well, you know, we've gone,

almost an hour and a half. So I think this is probably time

for us to clean clean and tables around this.

All the lights are so yeah. Good show today.

You know, it's fun to get back out and do this.

And, you know, will He survives by storm, that's how I survived

the answer. I will not be here next week,

but the show Will Go On Without Me.

We will see you as Taniya. Thank you.

We will see you. I love her next time on the

horse racing. Happy hour.

Horse Racing Happy Hour
