like, I literally had an emergency root canal this week.

And I would rather have that emergency root canal than deal

I'm sleeping downstairs. Because when you're like this,

mm snoring. Like no other.

poll that they put up in. And I'm trying to find it real

be cabins. First of all, because we said

the news. Okay, well, we have a new 2021.

Yeah, I really, I'll be honest, I wish you would have led with

that, frankly, his name is Madeleine his trainers.

Derby. It's a very, it's so

unfortunate. First Derby winner to be first

move aboard. Trainer to win the Derby.

It's so unfortunate that way. By the way, if anyone from

Churchill Downs is listening. I would love that Medina Spirit

Yeah, I have one of those. All of John Calipari stuff from

Memphis and UMass is in my basement.

It's great. So, if any, yeah, they go see,

see how I did that Megan. I just turned it right?

For you there. And that's what I, um, so the

Kentucky Horse Racing commission.

The thing that's really interesting to me about what

happened is, they agreed with Churchill Downs, disqualified,

Medina Spirit based on betamethasone, overages.

And gave baffert a 90-day ban and so what's their, a lot of

layers to this frankly, and I'm interested in the thoughts of

other people. If you get a 90-day ban and you

have horses in California, you actually have to clean out your

stalls and move out during the van.

Now, that's just over 60 days, right?

Is that what the rule was like, something like that.

Yeah. And that's, and that is very

interesting to me because that is a wrinkle that I don't think

people thought about the beginning obviously, having a

derby taken away is, is the story here for sure.

Let's not mince. Words.

But they release the 75 days before Derby, which means it's

89 days. Before the Preakness So a 90-day

ban in that stretch so it impacts California Maryland

could residence. So go ahead but that shows a

band from Churchill and Kentucky.

Yeah but rightfulness role is if you have a band anywhere that's

over six. So it's a well, I mean if you're

saying that either, you go from Five Horses to four and a half a

race, right? I mean ER Everybody ships, the

Golden Gate, all of a sudden, that's really busy and so I I'm

still not getting paid on my winning ticket.

Now that manually one by the way.

So I was very, I'm gonna bring that lawsuit.

That's what upsets me. I think more than anything, you

know. So, yeah.

So I'm just, I'm more interested in.

If the timelines do stick, let's say that, you know, he doesn't

get to stay that he wants or whatever it might be.

They're like, wow, this is this is completely within their

jurisdiction. It's pretty clear what happened

here, everything stands as it is.

Does Maryland, adopt it does, California actually enforce it,

right? And because that I mean, that's

the part where I think like, you just have to move everything to

San Luis Rey or some also are like gold.

First of all, he has so many horses.

Like, I mean, it's for shards and the tack room is like

basically an apartment like they live there, okay?

I mean, it is decked out and so it's California is not one of

those places where you can just like a send horses.

Not like here in Kentucky, you got a bunch of farms laying

around And we don't have training centers.

I mean, you have sadly array but that's really, I mean, they're

already booked anyways. I don't really know how where

they expect these horses to go. Yeah, I don't know the answer to

that Megan. In fact you make a good point

about people don't just shifts. California Del Mar has a program

where if you ship your horse and they helped pay for it right?

Just to fill out those fields and do those kinds of things and

so wow, with your arms down there but the Arcadia area of

l.a. farms hanging around without any bad for horses were

going to Fields are going to match races Insanity tall spring

so it's a great to though. That's what it is.

A great you a trace, his messy if you have the race that yeah,

that's right. So going back though to this

pole just real quick because this is that these are at least

horse racing fans, that are you gently, their father regularly,

right? And so there are over 300 votes,

okay. The number one with Sixteen

votes. The, the poll question was

curious another general feeling about Medina scary situation.

The number one choice with 116 votes bathroom made an honest

mistake with the ointment and Ms. Should keep the race.

Wow, with 114 votes. So it's almost 50/50 back were

cheated, and Medina Spirit, should be disqualified.

And then the, my choice was the third choice was, 75 votes,

baffert made a mistake with the ointment.

But rules are rules and I honestly believe that.

I mean at the end of the day, they said that I think all of us

have set that, right? I mean there's a zero-tolerance

I mean yeah. Right you know yeah exactly and

there's zero tolerance and that's what zero tolerance

means. Like you can't, you can't just

recently change a rule which comes at the rule.

Change of the zero tolerance was just and then make a, an

adjustment for the biggest names in the sport, the first time

around otherwise, your rules mean, absolutely nothing.

Rules is rules this class? No class.

That's right. It's pretty.

So it's got a big fudge after, you know.

I think it was a lot of this is a It's sort of a lifetime, not,

a Lifetime Achievement Award, but a lifetime of, you know,

give me in the Oaks and September.

And then again, in the derby in the spring, when you have those

kinds of medicate the same thing.

And I really do wonder how different this would be.

Had he not done that Sunday media tour and he just said,

look, this ended up in the horse.

We don't know how, because we've never prescribed this for the

horse. What can we do to make this,

right? We're going to figure it out.

No, but they did. Of course, that's why they

tweeted a picture of his skin rash, which actually, I mean was

pretty bad and you could see it. So they did use the ointment on

the skin and they showed them the rash.

They just said, we didn't inject this into like this is a reason

why eventually they did. If they don't again, verse 8 in

the first day, he didn't say that.

He said we've never given this horse and he even looked at

Jenny recently said, what is this drug do?

I mean yeah, you got popped for before.

Like don't like you're allowed a certain amount of no Blissful

ignorance but not not about things that happened in the

Kentucky Oaks for example like that's not okay we're at times

with the same horse like that kind of thing and so I wonder if

he doesn't do the media to her. If Churchill Downs has a lot

less angry and the cage RC. Just kind of says, yeah, you

should stay out of this year's Derby but you know, next year

we're good to go and so I I just don't know what his lawsuits

about. That's what I don't understand.

Like what do you appealing here that you can trace them?

This year's Derby like you lost all your money from the last.

But you, yeah, no, for sure. I think that's what's appealing

because otherwise these owners would have switched trainers

already. But we're also mistaking though,

there's a Kentucky Horse Racing commission banned.

And there's a Churchill Downs band that are just coinciding,

so he could get rid of one. And the other one is still in

effect. It's not like, right, you know,

it doesn't really change anything.

So, you know, I think there's a lot of people who don't fully

understand that, you know, the Kentucky Horse Racing

commission, the stewards. They are get to determine

whether or not the Derby stains or doesn't stay in.

And then, of course they can. Can deny anyone a license or

suspended license. And when you fill out the form

for the license, it's humblebrag which I've done before Samesies.

Yeah, Megan has as well. And so you got drink there, they

ask you, have you been suspended or at a this track or another

track, like you hear that all the time.

And are you see that every time you go to get a license,

Churchill Downs, is a public publicly traded company, right?

Private Corporation are, you know, can do whatever.

They want to do you know and there they got a two-year ban

still, let me Rollin Stone effect and it's it is it is what

it is, I guess. But I mean, I'm just fascinated

right now because to me it's like, did you if there's an

appeal process? Are you going to and your and

you got a dirty whore so you are you really going to wait it out.

Like are you gonna get away for a judge?

Yeah. I mean how long are these things

tank? I think.

Right. So we got a 50-point races

100-point races right now. Well they've already postponed

Services trial and Till true 2023.

That was the other part about this, by the way, to like

falling up that whole, you know, ordeal.

But that's why I think that part of the reason why they are

standing so firm and white lily. That's exactly right because of

the public perception, given the Navarro and service trials.

Are you would be as not that it wouldn't be as big of a deal.

Of course, it is, I'm not belittling it, but I think it

definitely affects it. Well, it's going to be a big

Finish them off from a charging Santana, Pioneer of Medina

between horses. Spinal, happy runs on toward the

rail, but they're close to home. It's epicenter ever said to her,

Joel Rosario epicenter, decisively and they'll resist,

our steaks. Jockey did nothing except the

rock. I just sat there.

Yeah, just that. They're what I think is really

interesting about that is just how easily you mentioned Mike,

like the horse won. And the rider road that race

because we talked about that folks have eliminated one point.

Well, you know, the race that he came out of the Kentucky.

Jackie, Jackie Gold Cup gold. Yeah.

Whatever that recent. Churchill last year, contained

the, the top three finishers have been horses that Have now

brought on to do impressive things.

Yeah, it's a horrible smile. Happy obviously won the race and

then the the causeway horse the classic Causeway Honda Causeway.

Yeah well tank so you know that epicenter then beats smile Happy

who had beaten. All those other verses that have

gone on to do great things like the plot thickens here.

I think that's that's super important.

I think we saw Our first legit like you know in the

conversation Contender right there I mean because I mean I

thought it's a messy too but we don't know what's going to

happen there with the trainer. So I mean Super impressive.

Didn't he look like justify a little bit there?

I mean I hate to make comparisons like that but he's

out on the front. It's boring.

His strides are perfect. The other thing I wanted to

mention about this race and I learned this last year, when

Megan said at like 5:30, I can't be on the show.

O'clock. So, we had this terrible lesson.

It has that's worn down. It's normal.

We had to scramble to get a guest cabin.

So what I think we mean by that is that you need, you only have

so much horse, right? It's the same thing.

If you were like a race run or yourself, if you ran marathons

or whatever like you have to plan out your schedule, you only

have so much energy, you only have so much strength.

And so what's important is to figure out how these horses are

running those races and to see, did they do it easily, you know,

where they really, really tired? If the horse finish second, did

he still have a good race but the rider kind of, you know,

saved him realize they weren't going to win.

In Center, I'm not going to push you to try to get as close as

you possibly can. We're going to be S either way.

So let's just save our energy and look towards the next one.

I mean, there's a matter of how does it well?

Except there's also those you know, those Derby rules and one

of the Derby rules is your own defeat is a three-year-old and

you know, so and we of course, had that broken last year.

Those Derby rules, apply, you know.

resident Philly expert. She didn't win this race.

that win but I think I'm gonna go with the words of a little

Barbara Road who finished second in there, but was really, really

working to get that second and did make up a lot of ground,

which was impressive, but was never going to get to Newgrange.

So if I'm going to try to, you know, spice up some beds in

here, it's probably gonna be with some new Shooters, like

chasing time for see, Dustin Wilson and I like a fully owned

owned by the my resource tables. Not this time of the way was

like unbelievable amount of really good horses, right now

and Young Horses to that are on the Derby Trail.

incredible senior night a couple weeks ago which was really

awesome Phenom was just phenomenal and she played really

well and we had the District tournament, we lost in the

district. Champs you came to L fought

really hard and but she was named to the all district team

so that's that's good for her so she's great.

Yeah. So she's so now we move on to

the regional tournament will play Monday.

Figure out who we got and then we win.

Monday will play Thursday. So and that's also her 18th

birthday so I don't know. I'll probably yeah.

Probably when I was like. Yeah.

That's right. The other thing, if you stuck

around to the end we're going to have a very cool.

Announcement about who our corporate sponsors are this year

coming out Thursday. We're actually going to be at

the location of one of them on Thursday, one of the Reps from

the other company that's going to be hanging out with us is

going to be in for Florida as well.

So both of those guys will be here in Louisville.

We're going to do a little thing there.

Megan and I are going to go down there.
