Happy hour. There you go.

I am - I mean, I am not Mike and awful big bunch, but I will be

hosting here tonight. We're joined by low Robo.

Okay, one of my favorite just celebrated a birthday.

Happy birthday. Birthday.

The older wiser. Always great, baby fox.

Always great always gray. That's what I'm feeling after

this birthday. But thanks for the kind words,

Meghan and got a lot to talk about.

I mean, there is a Triple Crown race this week.

Yeah, no, we are gonna be talking about Preakness, of

course, and also black eyed susan, which is essentially The

Oaks of the Preakness of the middle child of the Triple

Crown. So, we'll get to that in just a

little bit. We do want to talk about,

though, some of the races that we discussed last week because I

was all-in on your beer. I believe that was my pinky pick

for the green sheets. I'm not mistaken your pinkies

out. Oh, no.

I am turning on a little pregnancy pop, apparently is

what they're called. They're like little Lawson's

thing. So that's if I sound really

obnoxious. It's because I'm a New Yorker,

but also because that, but I also blame the pregnancy.

Exactly a mile in 1:42. Highland Chief Aban gufo is

three wide, your beer is widest of all.

And Easter is down towards the rail and the field is in the

stretch. Now, and here comes Highland

Chief now to take the lead with Easter rallying down at the rail

and gufo coming on, on the outside, with the beer.

There's a sixteenth of the finish.

It is Highland Chief and go follow and your beer on the

outside. It's going to be an upset in the

grade one Manowar, Highland. Chief wins it at odds of 1901.

Love that for Trevor McCarthy, who got his first grade, 1

Victory aboard, Highland chief for Grand motion, and lots of

way that he did it through that horse just looked so relaxed and

actually switched right before the Finish Line.

I don't think that was a matter of being tired.

He galloped out with his ears forward.

He looked like a happy horse. I think he was just like, yeah.

No, I got this for good. Just very casual about it.

You'd be your never looked comfortable life.

What do you guys think? Yeah.

I mean from the gate and walking out.

I mean essentially just never looked comfortable.

Was a little bit on Buzz on Twitter, about there, not being

in a starter in the gate for you dear.

But that's the European thing. Right?

I mean that horse never has a starter, right?

So, I mean, frankly, just a bad, a bad break there, and just a

little bad luck, but I thought the more disappointing actually

was Grupo, because Google was right there, right in the

stocking spot in the second position, got the better start.

They need beer should have won this race.

But yeah, it said we get we get the old 12:41 pay on an island

Chief. Yeah.

That was the point I was going to make Louise is You watch that

stretch. And obviously I've watched that

stretch of bunch editing that. And you think gufo is going to

go by, you can see, there's no excuse for gufo there tonight,

get by Island Chief, and it did not happen.

So hats off to Trevor McCarthy, as you said, a big upset there

with Highland Chief and there was an upset in One race at

Belmont but not necessarily the other big race.

Megan may be interesting to know if he has starter and I to be

fair, I don't know this and I would have to go back and ask

that if he had a starter in the gate for his Other two US races

or that was that they decided not to do for this particular

event. Because I mean having, I think

it's a huge advantage to our horses.

I mean, obviously yeah, it's tighter quarters and whatever

but the things that those guys do 21, keep the horses, a few of

the jockeys safe, but also to make sure that the horses are

square, meaning that they've got weight distributed evenly

between all four of your legs, you know, they're not kind of

off or splayed, or whatever to get them, the best start.

They've got their head straight. I mean, my farrier used to be a

starter back in California for years and years and years.

And some of the things that he's told me that they've had to do.

I mean better buying for the horse and it's all for the best

of the horse in the best of the rider of whatever.

It's amazing what they do to get those horses, the best start.

So, I mean, an interesting call, but maybe it was something that

they had done before. Yeah.

It's so many of those starters, you'll see them even, you know,

just stroking, a horse's nose. And that kind of stuff just to

keep them calm, but when it's time to go, you're right Megan,

they'll get them like What kind of lead in with the horse right?

Sometimes, you'll even see those sorts of things were there?

Here's the key. We're about ready to go.

And so, yeah, it's not have that for you here, you know, maybe

just a cultural difference, but it certainly was a massive

factor in the placement in that race even so much that I know

that some of the Riders are very particular like Mike Smith and

other people when they go to certain tracks They know that

that's my guy. That's my starter just like you

would with a valid sure guys to get the the jockeys silks and

Saddles and everything ready and and we'll go as far as so.

Tip them, you know, if they win or whatever because huge part

of, you know, the race can be won or lost at the start.

We say that over and over again, so it's kind of an interesting

thing to discuss. But yeah, but that's what they

do over there. So, you know, to each their own

besides you beer, we had another race we talked about and that

was, by the way, I did find out it is called man-of-war day.

That was okay. So, what's interesting?

We put I put it up on Twitter, just to see what people called

it. Maybe 3%, man-of-war. 1% Peter

Pan, so I'm it was that made it a good poll question that it was

right there, essentially 50/50. So, yes, I think it was neither

that tweeted something out about it being man-of-war day.

I was like, sure, like, the race that some people thought was the

most important that day was the Peter Pan.

I know I was all-in on. We the People be the buzz words

that he was when he was down at Oaklawn and he just disappointed

that day. But yeah, I know we were kind of

we had some other horses. We talked about their let's see

what happened in there. It is we the people, the one to

catch into the stretch, We the People is opened up here.

We the people pouring it on, we the people has built a seven

length lead. It is we the people at a

terrific performance in the grade 3.

Peter Pan, We the People wired a liar.

Now I want to be fair. I like the people I did not

think he was going to do that and it's like for just think sir

you with some other horses there that you know, he wasn't like

the nine to five six, two, five favorite or something like that.

Even money JD. What do you think about that

race? I mean, I was not expecting the

wire-to-wire trip either, but obviously, just just the class

of the race, their class don't class the drinking rule or if

you have forgotten. Don't know how you could.

We have a few drinking roles on the show.

We don't keep track of them because that it just seems very

on-brand for our show. And yeah, so any time that you

hear, one of our things, classical class, King Guillermo,

there's a few others. You'll see the hashtag drink.

If you're watching us, if you're driving, put needles,

disbursement. I think you most common during

this is another one. That's a big one.

Yeah, into new hashtag drink rules.

So if you want to add us on Twitter, let us know what you

think. It should be.

Especially if you are a frequent listener of the show, we would

always hear from you, their thoughts and and your

suggestions for our content. So be sure to be sure to do

that. All right, so we talked about

what happened last week, this week.

We have quite a bit going on over there.

It frequents. Yeah.

So real, I just want about real quick little mod.

Just a reminder that both Country Grammar and total list,

one, the, Peter Pan. So, this is a race actually,

that can be predictive of good horses that go.

Onto either when the Belmont or just other three-year-old or

four-year-old races. And so it's not I get it.

It's a front running, you know, sloppy track, whatever you can.

You could lean into that if you wanted to, but that race is a

predictor of good horses. More often than not, well on the

Belmont Field, you know, shaping up to now that we've got sand

and who we know isn't going to be in there, you know, Rich

strike. I am doubtful.

You will show up in the ballistic.

See ya. You know, you have a couple of

horses that that are possibly not gonna be there.

Right, it always kind of ends up being, I think, the more

interesting of the two just with Preakness because horses take

the breakers off recover a little bit, you know, see if any

of the Brad Cox sources decide to come back.

Yeah, and and obviously, which the few horses that are in the

Preakness, how they do this weekend, will, obviously dictate

whether or not they decide to go to New York, but it's always a

tough one, over there at Big Sandy.

I know Louis the Preakness is one of your favorite races, the

Pimlico being one of your favorite tracks.

So well, why don't you tell people that have never been to

Pimlico? What it's all about.

Imagine. It's 1956 and nothing is

renovated at all. And it's just it's just that all

the time. I once a year, I tweet out a

picture of where I actually do the show from in non-profit

years and the table is a folding table.

Its Is made of wood that is what folding table that's the voice

twice. My age at least and the stickers

that are on the table have it changed since the 1980s because

they haven't updated the credentials in that room.

And so I was racing happy hour sticker.

No, it's a fantastic question. I have the you know, the last

time they don't even give out credentials anymore.

They give out bracelets or bit in like on the table, but some

of the stuff I tell people all the time, if you go to Pimlico

with the attitude that you're going to the county fair of the

Triple Crown, you're going to have a blast and that's exactly

what it is. That's the environment.

It is really, you know, it's Maryland's big day and people

really show up like crazy and you meet people all.

This is my I've been driving down from Trenton.

I've been driving from Philly. This is my 20. 20 s.

Preakness is my 30th. Preakness like, it is a party

for the people in the mid states there.

And so it is a, it's a blast man.

It's one of those that it's easy to cover because all the all the

steaks horses are in the same Barn, there Megan knows.

About that. And and so literally, all the

Preakness horses are in the same Barn, you just walk stall to

stall and meet all the horses and it's got a lot of positives.

If it rains, you walk through puddles indoors in the president

has the plumbing always breaks every year that happens as well.

It's so yeah, it's it's own. Um, it's it's own thing.

Yeah, but they started mission of it too.

Because you've got the county fair of like the outside of the

track, and then you have the leg be em coach.

Hella burning man. I'm not really sure.

Infield think the contrast of the two is truly special.

Jay gave you ever been? I have not, but this year to

see, Lauren Hill performed might have been my right here to go.

But yeah, and also and also making the stallion, I mean,

buddy bag, you always gonna be there.

I just said, moneybag you on this show.

There you go. I don't even know the words

you're saying, right? My brother went a few years ago.

I was working for ya. See Megan.

No Megan - no, that's cool. What about Gil was current?

That's actually a current. That's true.

That's true. Yeah, I was trying to I was

trying my best - towards Megan hashtag.

We have say, you're allowed and I'm allowed to leave this place

first, man. I mean, it's kind of because of

- I mean, yeah, but my brother is really cool and Not a word.

Maybe that's why I like he is a horse person.

So therefore he is cool but no offense, all of us.

But um, yeah, so I was working for NBC and he was like, hey,

I'm here. I was like, what are you talking

about? Are you texting the wrong

person? He was like, no.

I'm at I'm at, I'm in Maryland. And I was like, oh, okay.

He's like, yeah, I'm here for the music festival.

Nice, like, mmm. There's also a horse race, but I

mean, it's fine. So Even cited, catering tent, I

fed him, you know, got them all carved up for his day of the

week. It is a of the day.

It is amazing. To leave him local afterward.

And there are just Frat, Boys passed out on the Lawns for like

a mile getting out of that place.

It is inviting the highest tolerance.

Unbelievable. It is something that it's going

to be 900 Degrees there. This Saturday, many people are

going to be in pain. It's going to be awesome.

I'm God bless all y'all that are doing the infield this year.

Even when you have the same forecast, when you have the same

forecast in Baltimore, that you have here in Phoenix, Arizona,

you know your trouble. Yeah, and it's literally the

same for both 98 degrees on Saturday in both places.

Yeah, so you have the craziness of the Derby in field, which

honestly pales in comparison to the to the previous infield.

And then you have nothing and feel just like some geese and

stuff at Belmont. So you gotta get your people

walking here. And obviously will be betting

the day. Do they do have that being said,

a, I think a pretty good card, you know, with the steaks.

I mean, the undercard stuff kind of four of them, being a special

weight allowance, one other than Etc.

But you know, they've got some solid stakes races that they put

together. So we'll go through those.

But first, I guess we want to talk about our Preakness Power

Rankings. What are you doing here Louis?

No. I just thought, you know, we did

a draft for the NFL Draft when we were on, then seven other

podcast. Good one, yeah, instead of

following them because they've repeated the process.

Again. Congratulations.

Make any sense because you've got a short field of horses with

a really heavy favorite. Like, it made sense for this

year's Derby because it was obviously 20 horses and r21 if

you Counter-Strike and you know, you had not a clear heavy

favorite for everybody. That wasn't me.

That was all in on epicenter. So yeah, I don't get that either

but it's fine. It's fine.

It's fine. Yeah, no flattery in the highest

form there. But no, we're going to, we're

going to essentially play a game called Preakness or week.

Mess. Does your horse have a chance to

win the Preakness? Or are they just in the bottom

half? Is that technically a drinking

role? Because I had this like, it, it

kind of it. So drink, I just like, bringing

these up because I currently cannot drink.

So it's fun for everybody else. Do it.

So well, I've had 40. So Louis jiggly.

Okay, so just talking about the Preakness Stakes.

The obvious favorite here is going to be epicenter coming in

off that second place finish in the derby.

I think that was one of the things that came out right after

the Derby was. How often the second place T

cyclase horse. Excuse me.

Does it show up very well in the, in the Preakness?

And so, what we want to find out is if epicenter is going to be

able to Buck that Trend. I think it's something like 3 of

The Last, you know, 25 or 30. Derby second place horses hasn't

shown up very well in the Preakness.

And so, it's a, you know, we essentially have to figure out

what we think as far as that. And we're starting to get some

chat on here, by the way, from different people about on our

twitch page. So if you're watching us on

Twitter, we appreciate you. So, I flipped over to Twitch

because we have several new people who started to follow us

over here, and we have a couple of people over here, people

calling it freakness on here. Where's Megan?

When I needed a rich strike? Yeah, right.

Ha ha ha. I wasn't in on that horse.

I will never be. In other words.

If you went back in time, I would never knowing the horse

was going to win. I probably still wanted that it,

that's how much I am like against Rich strike.

So, I'm sorry. I am not your guy.

I'm not your buddy, pal. Here's my here's a person that

you needed to need to go to the Kentucky Derby in field behind

the drunkest frat boy, that you could find at you like that.

Things like pretty straight and that would have been your guy.

Or you could have found somebody from Cincinnati who is betting

their local jock, right? Those are the two options or

does it a dude named your your options got improved in that

way. Because Bella Terra couldn't

fill their card. I believe or they couldn't

something, they had a an issue and so they canceled their card.

So actually the people at Sunny Leone's Home track couldn't

watch him at his home track, which is so sad.

But yeah, so hashtag, my name is not rich.

Neither is mine. And I let me tell you, I'm still

so salty. I had a big, I had a big win bet

on epicenter. So I am still hurting from that.

It's fine shoutouts. Rookie Captain.

Thanks for hanging with us on Twitter tonight.

I love it. Okay, I still feel like I should

get credit because my horse wed the majority of the race.

I mean Oh, I thought you. I thought you had a shot shot

going in. The last term, man.

I thought Crown Pride was right there though.

The speed didn't seem like too much and not the whole as

opposed to me. When went out with summer is

tomorrow. I'm like I'm done.

It's tough watching like stop caring and like, okay, who's

coming from behind? Because there was just a chance.

That's okay. A repeat of the UAE Derby.

Like those Sports is going out pretending that it was the UAE

Derby while somewhat hilarious did not help the Chances of

either horse to win that race, you know, who didn't think it

was hilarious? Was poor outrider.

Greg blasi, who did by the way. An excellent job handling, Rich

strike. And at me, I will fight you all

day long on this until the day I die.

But a lot of people didn't know and I was going back through

photos this week, and I thought, I had heard somebody say cuz I

was saying next to Scott. Blasi, who's Greg's brother and

also the assistant for Steve asmussen as a receiver, coming

to The Paddock and he looked to his right.

He said, oh somebody got loose in the most parade and I was

like, Oh, okay. And obviously I'm not watching

on TV. So if they showed it there, but

our photographer from the roof had gotten pictures and summer

is tomorrow. Actually got loose from the pony

rider with the strap still hanging down and just booked it

towards the first turn and then decided to, like, stand there

for a little bit and like, back up away and there's pictures of

outrider. Greg blasi, who was very busy

running. After the first turn.

I mean galloping horse is fast. As he could to the first turn to

go Ray. Rescue this jockey.

She goes, he wasn't able to turn it back around and get him back

into the post parade. So yeah, he had quite the

warm-up before he said those blazing fractions.

He was ready to go soon as he came out onto the track.

So, yeah, it's, it's fine. But that waited we are worth

mentioning by the way, for since this is the horse racing.

Happy hour. They have an all-you-can-drink

ticket at black-eyed. Susan day for like 50 bucks.

And it's a great seat. Yeah, it's a problem.

I mean, so it's a good seat. You're inside the eighth pole,

like the whole thing. And so, yeah, if you're, if

you're in the Baltimore area and you're wondering, if you should

hang out Friday, is the easier day for sure.

As far as traffic and different things.

The card is very, very good and you can go for like 40, 50 bucks

and do the damn thing. So, thank you.

All right, so power rankings for the Preakness or if they are a

weakness. Let's start with how we're doing

is, we're gonna we're gonna person by person.

We don't Horse by horse. I think we have three of us.

So two votes against 12, if they are Preakness race in order of

the post within their simplification.

Yeah, your nay? Yeah.

That's a, that's a Preakness horse.

We're talking that's, you know, workplace in the derby.

Obviously, you know, Fountain of Youth win.

I'm still chasing that right. Get it done in the Preakness.

So I am. I'm simplification belongs and

will be a contender in the Preakness.

I agree with everything that JD just said on our AVR picks.

I was the only person who had simplification in the fountain

of youth. It's the only one that I nailed

this year, that no one else got. And so, I'm a big fan of that

horse for making me look smart for at least one day.

And so, yeah, he's absolutely previous day.

Go ahead and drink. Well, Dad dancer has a big role

here on the show. Show you.

I how I think simplification is definitely a Preakness horse

peacefully. I wasn't a big believer in him.

Early on I know we talked right? Oh, you know, he won his Maiden

special weight in a Florida bread race B. 16 legs, but like

who did he beat right and then he comes back and he finished

third and then they run them in the stakes race and he won

there, but it wasn't really pressed for the lead, you know,

that hard. And so yeah, it took me a while

to really get on board with this horse, but I certainly think I'm

a huge fan of this. Nose and I think he deserves

being there for us. I like the fact that he's done,

you know, some different kind of running in his career.

I think his best efforts are when he's on the lead and the

fact that or at least sitting right off of it.

The fact that he draws the rail here, I think is actually really

positive for him because he might be able to WAN stay out of

trouble. Which you had a bit of traffic

and had to go pretty wide in the Kentucky Derby, but to he might

be able to kind of get back to the running style that we saw in

the mucho Macho, Man, especially as we're cutting back in

distance. Here.

And I think that, that makes him a really interesting horse for,

for our top three, picket. At least, for me.

I put I put him in third in my selections.

All right, so, creative minister is the to kind of extend in this

one up. After a big effort there at

Churchill Downs and allowance race.

Is he a Preakness horse or a weakness for slowly?

I'll go week mess on this one. We humblebrag coming again.

I apologize on our local ESPN. After today, I interviewed Kenny

McPeak, and he admitted that they thought nothing of this

horse. As far as Triple Crown.

It was not big Peaks idea to run him in the Preakness.

The owner is just flat-out paying for it.

And so he pretty much said as much on the radio today.

So I am out on Creative Mason's. Never nothing.

I do feel like, Kenny McPeak is kind of becoming the Doug

O'Neill. I agree.

Yeah. Of the Midwest, with the, why

not us angle. You know, he's like, yeah, I got

plenty of do year olds, you know, three-year-olds listening,

right? Like throw them.

And it'll be fine. And it actually works out really

well for him in a lot of cases and that he is a very talented.

Traitor. I don't want to say, you know,

sure it's just you kind of see him for horses in these spots

and you're like why. But to be fair the source is

coming off a win. So I likey, you know failed last

time out and whatever so the Step Up makes sense.

It's just, yeah, it's really interesting one here.

So they did say if he runs well and he comes out.

Okay, he Belmonts. Next, they already pay that fee.

They're going to go. So, yeah, hopefully we'll see

more times. We've got tap it on the bottom

side. So that's exactly right.

He's got plenty of endurance there.

JD. What do you think?

I actually think that this is a Preakness horse.

And I think what we see here is we have not seen the best of

this horse. The start of that allowance

rates at Churchill was absolutely awful.

Yeah, and this horse persevered and survived and as you can see,

when we get down later in the field, I don't think there's a

whole lot more left in this field.

So I have to say somebody's a Preakness horse.

Also you look at the mayor. The mayor's produced three

graded, Stakes winners. So I'm willing to give this

horse a chance, didn't kind of the first spot light show.

I also think with the running style we've seen so far that

might be the running style that could potentially get to

epicenter because I think epicenter is going to be a lot

closer to the front to start the proceedings here.

Oh, I agree. I was going to say that too.

I think I actually think you're going to have a significant

amount of speed in here, you know, although it might be not

necessarily that obvious. Paper, I think simplification

probably goes forward, especially with the rail.

I think you see a horse like, Fenwick and I personally, you

know, think that's probably his jamming.

He won by five lengths when he was on the lead.

So he's going to go out there in front of early.

Voting is a speed horse. Armagnac is a speed horse and

the center is a speed horse. He did relax, you know, in

Louisiana Derby obviously and then was off the pace in the

Kentucky Derby, but, you know, maybe this is kind of a scenario

where you have a couple of speed horses that you may not have

thought were, you know, going to be out there battling it out and

then it sets up for a closer, like, creativeness minister.

They say, right? Yes, great administrator up.

You go. All right.

Um, I don't, I really don't know where I stand on this horse in

this field because I am not terribly impressed by a ton.

I feel like he, he's somewhere in the middle for me, from a

Preakness to a weakness horse. I don't know where that puts

him, but Yeah, I probably met him.

I'd probably support him on the undercard, but in this

particular race, it's tough, but I still like better than a lot

of horses in here. So I don't know where that

leaves me. All right, three Fenwick.

I'm out on this one. To me.

This is a weakness. Judaism 100% agree.

Don't really understand other than, you know, I mean, they had

to supplement in here. So I don't understand it at all.

Yeah, but we wouldn't that, I think of that.

What JD said, I think that that's what I think it's got to

just, I man to have that kind of money would be great.

I don't. But so I mean, shout out, take

your shot, you have breaking news.

And so I mean good for that. Maybe they're hoping the, you

know, the fast. Go will be good for me or

whatever. But yeah, I just meet you don't

even have Paco. I mean, in Paco's going to be

there. So I just, yeah, I don't know

what they're, what they're going to try.

And so I mean, for a pickup jockey floor on Haru is

definitely not a bad guy, get it.

I get it. I will say though, if you're not

familiar with Kevin Catherine and obviously, he's only run one

horse. That's year.

He's actually from the family of the McCaslin Brothers Training

Center in Ocala and Nathan, plenty of good horses, but have

your two year olds that they prepare for the sales.

And then after the sales and one of those horses, being American

pharoah, there's that great cellphone grainy video of

American pharoah with like his first work out that they Had his

first Breeze at the McAfee and Training Center.

And I think Bob is in the background there and you just

see American pharoah. But you hear everybody behind

whoever's filming be like, wow. Oh my God, and that was pretty

cool to see. So, you know, they're from a

really great horse family and he's giving, you know, racetrack

training a try, but certainly has been around many many good

horses. So, I hope that they do well,

it's from a story perspective. But, yeah, it's not the

connections that worry me about his Out in this race.

It's over. I wanted to ask what do you

think he goes off at on the betting line at race time?

Yeah, 82 1, there. It is II was gonna go like 72

minutes, right freak. All right, moving on to the

Philly secret oath, of course, trained by Hall of Fame trainer.

Do you mean Lucas Luis? Saez gets back board?

Obviously, they won the Kentucky, Oaks at Churchill

Downs and she's going to take on The Voice.

He or something that has been done quite a few times before in

this particular race, and, you know, has been Possible for a

fused with skydiver in recent years.

But yeah. Louis secret oath since you are

the the Philly expert apparently on the show.

What do you think? Apparently needless besmirch,

man? So I think she is and I think

there's two things about it. I think she thinks she's

legitimate number one, but number two she gets the

five-pound weight difference here.

And I actually think that's gonna that's gonna matter over

these two terms. I think she's gonna like the

distance, like, you mentioned earlier.

I don't think she was all out in the Oaks and that was just like,

Off traffic their listing is wet fast.

That's interesting, because I think when we were there, did

they, did they not listed as muddy?

When we were there Megan? Remember, that would have been

an improvement. Yeah, it's right now through the

day, which is not what we talked about that on the show, right?

That they work. The track throughout the day,

try to ring the middle of the day, right?

Yeah, so it was kind of its own thing, but I thought she was

super impressive. Luis saez, clearly understands

what to do with her. And so I'm I think her running

style is similar to create administer, except that, I think

she's a better horse than create a minister.

So for me Preakness. Okay, JD what you think?

Agreed? I think sighs did a great job.

First up on the horse, in the Oaks.

I do find it interesting that the coach, you know, really

talked up Luis Contreras and and wanted to have low.

And we had so many interviews about how he thought this horse.

This mayor, this Philly. Wow.

I'm having a dick. It's Billy.

No, really, really was in tune with Contreras.

And then, you know, Luis saez comes up.

So I have a theory and maybe you can back me up.

I mean, are there some just horses Phillies mares that

you're around, Louis that you just do better with?

Because he went from Luis Contreras to Luis saez, and now

I'm asking Louie here. What do you think?

It's a good question. I agree that I should be

writing. But what's interesting is

because Luis Contreras, who is he on in one of the Arkansas,

preps in the derby and he made a terrific move that JD pointed

out on the show actually. So it with was it ethereal Road

actually earlier, was he had a theory or road to the Arkansas,

preps for yes. I don't think so.

Right. And maybe made a terrific move

with him to get to get into the Derby, had he not scratched out.

And so, you know, it's not that Luis.

Contreras is some kind of slouch or something, but when you can

get Louis eyes in a spot like this, you absolutely take him so

but Definite. Definite Preakness for me.

I don't know that. I think she wins.

We'll talk about this later in the show.

But if she ends up in the trifecta, I don't think any of

us are surprised. Yeah.

No, I agree. Yeah, I think she's super

talented. I was a fan of the switch to

Lewis is just as I thought Contreras just moved to early on

her in that big move and in Arkansas Derby and not, I don't

know that she would one but I thought that, you know, she

might have had a little bit more left in the tank by the time

that they, they got to the Finish Line there.

So I so I really like her. I personally have her picked

second. I think she runs second to

epicenter. So I liked her enough in this

race to really support her there.

So next we will move onto early voting who took the New York

Route and in fact has never raced outside of New York and is

now going to make the short trip there to Pimlico Judy.

Yay, or nay. I'm going to say nay here.

I just That that Aqueduct road to the derby is, has been a very

winding and interesting one over the last 10 years.

And it has an exemplary led to Banner for 22 years.

Yeah. This is great among the wintry

Aqueduct, very cold, dirt types in genetics and Weakness for me.

I don't think this horse wants any part of the distance, got

caught by Mo Donegal in that would Memorial was clearly

tiring at the end of that race to me a mile.

And three sixteenths is way too far for this horse.

Even even with all of the breeding I get it.

This is a Gunrunner. By the way, I did want to say

with secret. Oh, what a shame that we lost

arrogate. So young in the in the stud

ranks because I think his his kids.

I just even that small classes going to be really, just

depends. But anyways, even though this is

a Gunrunner a day. Is now on the mom's side.

I totally voting. I'm I'm out man.

I don't know why. This is a weakness for me.

So we just are forgetting the fact that he won and of my own.

He's as a two-year-old that's here.

Okay. Usually, they get better with

distance when we get older, but it's fine.

So perfect. In this field.

Yeah, so I have him in my superfecta in that very last

slot, my one concern for the sources.

I do really feel like he he seems to be a need the lead type

and I know he technically was second by a head real, like a

little bit in his, made his debut race, but he to me seems

kind of like that really precocious type that needs to be

out there. And, you know, maybe can't take

a breath and relax a little bit and in this Hold that worries.

Me because I do feel like we've got the speed from Armagnac and

Fenwick and a few other horses possibly simplification.

So his running style makes him vulnerable but his connections

and what he's done so far, make him qualify him in my opinion.

So I'm going to put him in my for spot.

So technically I guess, yes, he's a frequent source for me.

Alright, happy jack for Doug O'Neill, the true, why not us

Doug O'Neill? Picks up the mount here.

They're putting the blinkers on JD what you think?

I think they can put blinkers winkers.

They could put anything any type of equipment.

They can change the bit on the horse.

I will not piss perch Doug O'Neill's name here, but I think

they're here to collect the check and I say weakness.

Yeah, I'm on the, I'm on that. Train weakness for me.

I love that. His last workout was over a mile

at Keeneland. Otherwise, I don't like the

horse and so we'll move on. I do want to say that was before

the Derby, you know, they were trying to getting ready for the.

I love it quarter. Yeah, I mean it was slow.

It's the comment line says slow and just ride empty so tells you

pretty much all you need to know.

Alright, the seven is Armagnac for Tim Yak teen.

I read Ortiz picks up the mount here, maybe another horse with

some early speed will go to Louis.

First. What do you think Preakness?

I think this is a really talented horse.

Actually I do. No, that he wins.

But I think this is one of those that could be out front and has

the ability actually, the stay in that front group.

I do think he's overtaken at some point in the stretch, but I

expect him to be top top five for sure.

And so I think Armagnac is your longer odds horse.

That's going to be able to jump up be part of that, super that

trifecta. What do you think Judy?

Pretty simple for me? Armagnac couldn't pass happy.

Jack in the Santa Anita Derby. I don't see Armagnac.

Passing many horses here at Pimlico.

That's a weakness for me. Yeah, it's a weakness for me as

well. Even with Iran aboard.

So we get to epicenter the eight.

That is my Preakness horse. I have been very bold from the

get-go with this one and thinking that he's super

talented. I personally think should have

won the Derby and I He would have been the only Triple Crown

possible horse that we had in this three year old crop that

showed up for the first Saturday in May.

So Louis. What do you think Preakness for

sure, and this is a horse that in the in the sequence.

I think you can really lean on as well.

Like I mentioned there isn't another harder to speed figure

in this race and actually epicenter has the top three

speed figures coming into this race.

And so obvious, Preakness, horse Rombauer.

Last year's winner, ready for some breeding.

Y'all ready? Louis with the Eating anybody

last year's winner. You're damn, right?

They can was it swirling candy epicenters damaged by candy?

Ride breeding angles. Let's go love it.

There you go. Spooky Captain who's hanging out

with us, which I love. That was for that was for bed.

Goodbye. That was totally, that piece was

just for Megan. I love that so much.

The center is is my pick in the Preakness as well classes of

skill Class, Clown class. I think my Pleasant glasses odds

on how far odds on and I'm going to say three to five for

epicenter spot. Yeah, I think 45 is probably the

number. Absolutely agree.

I think he's going to take all the action there as he should.

So unless some point by the way, I have a little convince spooky,

Captain is actually Mike because it would be Mike that says O A

Center This is the board members is the one.

That's what, that's what they said.

He's at his daughter's graduation party, but I don't

believe it. I don't, I don't, I don't know

that he has a daughter. Let's keep going.

Yeah, exactly. I agree with you.

Skippy Longstocking trained by Safi Joseph jr.

Jr. Alvarado, aboard three-year-old,

son of exaggerator who did win the Preakness years ago.

What do we think, JD finish 17? Links behind simplification of

the mutual, mucho Macho, Man. Improved a little bit going up

to Aqueduct in the wood Memorial, but I think that's

more Improvement, but he actually sticks.

When you have Lasix and obviously, we'll see here, but I

think a week mess, but I think if you would try to convince,

try to convince me that this horse would be somebody that you

could key and a fourth in the super.

I might buy that but I don't think will be contending for the

the big Awards. I think that take is really

right. This horse is also been training

in South Florida. It's going to be hot in.

Over the weekend. So this horse is used to warmer

weather. I think there's a chance that

he's just used to the conditions.

He likes the surface and ends up third, fourth, something like

that. All of his best performances

have been over two turns. So, you know, you mentioned that

the mucho macho, man, that's a one-term aisle at Gulfstream.

This horse seems to do better over two turns.

And so to me, I guess Preakness is practice for me.

But then again, I'm a little into the hair Bond and the chest

hair was happy Johnson jr. So let's kind of I think for me,

okay, as far as on that. Alright, so that wraps up our

Preakness Power Rankings, but the show is not over in future

reference. Whoever makes the show.

She, we should say that towards the end, but we've got plenty

more action. Tag for more.

It's hidden. This Merchant healthy all the

time. Now, that's just part of this,

what's happening? Anyway, so we got plenty of

stakes races coming your way here.

And if I could get back to the show sheet with, I've got too

many tabs open. All right, we're going to

Friday. Starting off, that is a

black-eyed, Susan day. Essentially, The Oaks day of the

Preakness, and we'll start with the bird, that's in the

background of Louise. Video but we have many race.

Number eight is the great real are Dupont.

Thank you. A mile underneath there on the

main drag for Phillies marriage for years old and up.

I thought this was a pretty competitive race.

Albeit a short field. What do you think Louis?

Yeah, I I agree with the morning line maker here that the for

super quick Goes On Top. This is a florals Rue Norm.

Cassie combination coming out of a very good.

Three field, the Keeneland finishes, two lengths behind

Mallet that and right behind Bonnie, South.

There's no shame in any of that. And so lost a clear error in the

race. Previous.

None of those kinds of horses are in this race to me,

classical class. Put the for up top for you for

this race. I also like the one exotic West

coming down from Aqueduct, seems to love the distance outside of

a bad stumble, three back. This horse has won three

straight just a gamer. So I'm going to go short for and

one in the new pot. Okay, II agree with you on super

quick. By the way.

I think the fact that this horse Has improved over her.

Last two starts. This is third start off the

layoff. That's an angle that I really

liked there. So I also have super quick on

top and the sixth Frost point in my second pot personally, for

Bill Mont, and fluffy and Pratt. I think last time she was much

too forwardly placed. I don't think she's a horse that

wants to be that close to the lead.

She doesn't much better when she can kind of save some ground,

but I am a little concerned that she's not going to run very well

with that Lasix, because she did not do that last time.

So I can't quite figure out if the results.

Due to that or due to the running style, but I think that

she deserves to be in second spot and then I had the to in

the one as possible other competitive forces in here.

But JD would you think? Yeah, I'm all about super quick

up top. And the one thing that kind of

leads to your theory Megan is you look at last season for this

horse to Clunkers. Third up was attend, link

victory, Of course. That was a main score over a

sloppy surface that Churchill but I think you're going to see

that pattern obviously first. If the layoffs bad terrible

performance at Fairgrounds, but came back in the double dog.

Dare. I mean that's big company there

and and held around and none of those sources are in this race.

So I have super quick on top. I'm for 16 in the spot -.

All right, that'll do it for racing rate.

So that brings us to restore 9, which is the hilltops takes a

listed Stakes race for a hundred thousand dollars.

One mile on the grass for Phillies that are three years

old. It also does start at 50 Cent

Pick 5 if you're interested in playing.

Those Leslie likes to say it's pick five citizen, but I have

for pizza. Bianca on top, the Breeders Cup,

juvenile fillies Turf, winner for Chris F.

Come on Jose Ortiz, and Bobby Flay.

And I think it's between the 4 and the 8, personally.

I made maybe you could throw the 6 in for a try if you wanted to

Diamond hands. But yeah, I feel like I'm

enhance has the potential to be a rabbit in here.

Okay? Pizza Bianca who also comes from

Microsoft. Come on horn and means the

speed. What do you think?

Well, this is my uh Green Sheet racing, dad thumbs up, horse of

the weekend. We're looking at over for pizza.

Bianca most likely winner, JD made fun of me for this one

because the horse is going to go off at like 1:00 to 5:00.

I get it. That's fine.

We're not talking about but 125 we're talking about the

sequence. And so I think the second off

the little angle here. I also all the numbers make

sense, Clem all Second off. Lay off, 20% on Turf 21% in

steaks. I'll take her coming out of

that. Excellent two-year-old campaign.

Look for her to kick-start her three-year-old campaign, here, a

single for me, with the for pizza, Bianca, which by the way

overrated, white pizza over it. Oh, great.

Definitely. That's a great take over 100

portable taste. Absolutely.

I will say this is a fun fact, on Pizza, Bianca.

So if you go to a mall fee, in Vegas at Caesars, there is a

little Shrine to Pizza. Bianca right.

Now with all of the Breeders Cup regalia and very interesting ask

the waitstaff about it. They, of course, had no clue

what it was when I gave up pizza.

Bianca, all to anybody. I saw it Breeders Cup and 921

and obviously be that beautiful move.

Yeah, that is, that is a humble brag for sure.

You. By the way, you should have

thrown up the needless, besmirch me?

When I went after him, when I went after white paint.

So you should have done that manager at least even though

it's warranted. Yes.

And then, and then, I think, really first up in the memories

of silver, you can excuse. That consumer spending is a

quality course, nothing wrong with that.

But yeah, it's first up. That's right.

I also agree with you mating that, I think, but I think the

other come on horse is 6 is going to be a rabbit, and we're

going to see that long stride of pizza.

Bianca, and Elaine. Take over once again, here.

I'm Thor. Single single single single.

No, like it the single finger pick for Louis that breeze is

stories. Number 10, which is the grade 3

Miss Preakness 450,000 dollars, six furlongs 43-year old

fillings and it starts to pick for it's also going to be my

finger pick. Boom.

There you go. And I am going with the six

horse. Happy soul for Wesley Ward.

I think this is just such a classic case of last time was a

failed experiment. They tried to go longer.

With this horse. She had finished first.

I'm sorry, second on debut, on a sloppy racetrack first by 11

lengths. First by eleven likes, first by

three lengths, all going at the distance of six furlongs were

less than they were, put her over a mile.

And a sixteenth. She finished six beaten by

twenty five lengths, and that was in the grade one Ashland

where Nest just absolutely dominated.

So we get her back down to a Sprint here.

That's perfectly fine. That's exactly what she wants to

do. I, I'm honestly a little

surprised that she's at 1:55. I think she will be much shorter

or should be much shorter if she goes off and drive to do.

I absolutely love that because she's definitely my my single in

this race. And I mean, the only other

words, I guess I can beat her is under the stars who's Beth is

are under flow, V on Pratt who gets back aboard here coming in

from California on McCarthy doing well this year.

He inherited, you know, quite a few of the Bob baffert horses.

This being one of them, but it kind of confuses me because I I

feel like some of her better numbers have actually come over

around a ground. I mean, she's done while

sprinting to so she's versatile. But yeah, her biggest, her

biggest race for videos can be used.

You know, our biggest finished. Let's say was that Los Alamitos

and then December meet you and I he's a good horse.

But I I like happy soul so much more JD leaving.

My top selection. This race is actually the three

lady Scarlett. I think ladies garlic can get

the trip right behind happy soul and just make one move in the

lane. And with a red-eye rat up.

Obviously, this horse has been with every jockey in the United

States. It appears so far through eight

starts Jose Ortiz. Kendra Carmouche Ramon Vasquez,

Ricardo, Santana, Junior floor and true Luis saez and Martin

Garcia, you seven races, but Soros has been consistent gotten

the job done, you know, one at five and a half to break the

maiden, and then has been running the best at six.

I think the seven was just a little bit too long and a little

bit, maybe too strong with field.

I think that Beaumont field a lot stronger than what we see in

this Preakness. So I do like, ladies Garland,

totally 36 and for in the spot week.

I love this actually because I literally wrote I'm gonna lean

on Phillies cutting back in distance here to the to under

the stars and the six happy. SOL, SOL one from the sanity to

Oak Trails. One from the Key lenoks Trail.

Both are proven one. Turn, Phillies.

No question. Right there.

Obvious a choices to me. And then I really wrote if you

want another horse, the three ladies Scarlet couldn't keep up

with moderate last time and I'm all over her the acorn.

So why wouldn't I like horses that ran right behind her.

So I actually ended up to 6 and 3 in this race.

So a lot of agreement there. Okay, that brings us to race

number 11, which is the the very one statement.

A girl. Read the first five furlongs on

the grass there for Phillies a three years old and up.

Let's go to Louis first. Although Louis has left us.

So we will go through me first. All right, perfect, as make sure

Louis gets back into the stream now, I think Louise here.

Yeah. I want to show my cameras like

yeah, we're not going to be in the show for 10 seconds.

Now, I'm done. So I will say quickly, what

we're looking at this field the five.

Hey, Mama Luke is an NT o on Big Stakes.

They sing in MTO in a steak is not something we're incredibly

used to, but there you go. That's the information you have

there. I am with the 10, paint them

blues away for James. The belly with fergal Lynch,

aboard really strong performance at Tampa, has spent some time on

the pine three months on the pine, but it's been working in

Delaware very nicely. And I think it's a good spot for

this horse. Who is a definite 5 for long.

On the turf specialist. I am 10 3 and 2 in the spot

Louis. All right, so I think there's a

chance that an upset in this one with the outside horse, the 12

Adelaide miss everything that trainer Brittany.

Russell does. Well.

She is asking Adelaide Miss to do 31% off the layup. 32%, route

to Sprint and 27% instincts, Brittany picture spots, as well.

As any trainer in the United States.

Frankly. It's an absurd levels with

jockey heavy on Toledo ten to one in the Morning Light.

I will tell you in Maryland. There's no chance.

We'll get that number at post time.

I think there's a chance you actually use that horse as say a

single in the double or single. In the pick three coming into

that leg because people are going to see that morning line.

They're going to stay away from it in the multi-race wager.

That's a Horseman 12 Adelaide missed that checks all of the

boxes for me, coming into a list of six like this, Iran's on the

to Honey, Pants who's been running in sink lips.

So but the one box that she may not check is she Only one going

short, one time and it was her maiden special weight race on

the dirt or the church. Does that concern, you know,

because I trust all female trainers anyway, so I rather

found the to Honey Pants who's been running and said-- Clips in

the heat at Gulfstream Park and the 10.

Who JD mentioned, paint them blues away.

I'll list. It takes monster.

I think you can use all three here in the 12 to 10.

And the to, for me to be fair I said is me before, especially

because I put the 12 in like my yeah.

Yeah. I doubt if settled out.

Yeah sure to get you guys Hammer but then paint them blue the way

I mean look, this is a horse like Katie said that she does

really well at this distance. She is 94 13 at this distance of

her too. I think that efforts right?

I mean she was in the light in the city or lightning City.

I don't know what that would raise was a Tampa and she is

worth only by a length and three quarters, which I still think

was a pretty good performance. Since but her effort at Laurel

or she better 16 by 4 or Fairgrounds where he finished 16

by 8, both were over an officer, of course, it was yielding

ground. Oh, no, I'm sorry.

It was good at Fairgrounds, but I don't know.

Really how much moisture is in a good thing.

They're gonna stir course to be fair.

It is not supposed to be wet at all on whatever the opposite of

that is. Yes.

Yeah or on Friday rather. So I think she's going to be

fine. And yeah, so I think you got a

nice firm ground for her and she's gonna really enjoy that.

So, I went tend to and and then like way back to the 12th in my

preferences. Okay.

So raised over 12 is the Pimlico special for 300,000 dollars.

A mile and three sixteenths for horses.

Three years old, and up. We will go to JD first.

One of the things that I'm seeing in this race is obviously

we're going one in 3/16 miles. So there's not going to be a ton

of speed but I don't know who gets up front.

So I'm actually going to put the for working on a dream up top

here because I think working on a dream can get a very soft lead

in the spot with caramon us aboard and I think working on

dream can take this field wire-to-wire at a price.

We're going to see 12:48. I think we're going to see

probably closer to 20 21 on this horse who has One since a muddy

effort that was what on a track in a race that was washed off

the turf. At Laurel back on November 12th

has had s itís since 3 seconds, but I do think has a chance to

take this build wire to wire in the Pimlico special.

Okay, Larry. What do you think that that's a

terrible pick? I think that I would have been

super salty here. I think the one that dicta Vis

is the classiest in the special here.

I read Fletcher all the numbers make sense for that horse.

If you do want a long. Shot.

I think the 10 Mischief is afoot.

James told her Jose Ortiz. I think he'll relish the extra

distance. I learned this from Megan.

Sometimes you just get a plotter who can plot their way into a

win. And this guy just reeks a

plotter to me. I think you're going to have

better the 12:48 on the morning line number.

I'm not necessarily expecting a win here, because I'm going to

single the one in this leg, actually, but I think he'll plot

his way into the exact her, into the trifecta here.

So, to the 10 mischievous of foot, but I'm on the one

vindictive to take the Here in the in the special.

I have not on the town at all. But I do like the fact that he

gets Jose Ortiz that he did finish his way into that second

place finish laughs friend of humans, which I think is this is

great because we're all over the place because I am on the 3

horse, untreated as my top selection.

This one finished second. Last time at Aqueduct.

It is still listed Stakes race. They're finished pretty terrible

6, beaten by six lengths editing.

Horse field. Two races back in the grade

three mine. A shaft that was against a

little horse named Olympiad, who some people think is like,

pretty good. So I'm going to maybe give that

what a pass. Also, the horse didn't seem to

switch leads, I believe and that stretch.

So I don't know if they were just kind of geared down and

they figured like this is this isn't happening.

Anyways, you know, so kind of followers a little bit.

But yeah, I still think that he has had some pretty good

performances. I mean, he finished terribly

against the central quality who again, is a very good horse.

Well in the Bluegrass back in 2021, so you get do rosário and

Todd Pletcher. They team up together to what at

18% and I'm getting 7 to keep, right.

So that's going to be my topic. Then I went to the eight horse

who is first Captain for shouldn't be.

I didn't find them to be a ton of speed in this race.

If you look at the running styles of a lot of these horses.

Are you working on a dream? Will probably be there.

The other one was accelerator. You know, has showed some early

speed, but first Captain I think has done his best running when

he's been much closer to the PACE.

I think last time in the Carter he was just a bit overmatched

and the time before that he came from off the pace and he did win

but you're seeing them put the blinkers on here and oftentimes

that can be indicative of maybe being a little bit more formally

placed. Plus they far from The Source up

with a nice. Three for a long work on May

15th over a multitrack. They went in 3081 and I think

that, that combined The blinkers tells me that they might be

trying to get this horse to do a little bit more running early.

And so I think you see this cold as part of that early Pace

scenario and obviously one that they like from the beginning

they paid 130. I'm sorry, 1.5 million dollars.

Yep. This one at the New York sale at

fasig-tipton in August of 2019. So I think first Captain is a

really serious contender in here and five of us them solid price

and then I had your one vindictive as a my third person

there. So all right, that's the camera.

So special, that brings us to The Black-eyed.

Susan technically, the Georgie Mitchell black-eyed.

Susan for only a quarter of a million dollars, which seems

low. I feel like three year old

Billy's a mile and an eighth are on the main track, which will

hopefully be fast. I am gonna go with the nine

Interstate, Daydream love it. As my topic with rajguru and

Brad Cox. I think that this is one that,

you know, she was up against again, Nest, where the tundra?

Back for last time out. She finished third beaten by

legs. It was wet, Fast, Track, you

know, I don't think she's done a lot wrong in her career.

She's done some fine running when she has not run without

Lasix. She did want an allowance race,

you know, by eat legs at Oaklawn Park park over model 16th.

I mean, some could argue that maybe she is a horse that, I

mean, that she's versatile, right?

Like she did, well sprinting, and also stretching out, so I

don't think that that That the Ashland puts me off of her too

much especially since it was the first time that she was on the

lead. And I think maybe she kind of

sits back and relaxes a little bit as she has done and some of

her other races and and is able to just take a breath.

So I at cause I just couldn't help myself on the price.

So I went nine and then I included the 10 a dare manner

who I think a lot of people will use and then possibly the seven

distinctly possible as you know, to read out a trifecta.

Daddy what you think? I will say, you know, Interstate

Daydream, I see this as a filly that potentially could be headed

to the Canadian. Triple Crown Trail as an Ontario

Brett, just objective in mind. Things will line up one.

It does well in this race, one more race and then being Triple

Crown given that only to start so far this year.

So just something to keep in mind.

I'm going crazy with the Cheez Whiz long shot here.

I like the three Miss Yearwood, quite a bit.

The mains main score last time was very impressive.

Going a mile and a quarter. So we know this horse can get

the distance and we know this horse has done better.

What's she is gone to two turns with Julian leper.

Ooh aboard, who stays aboard here for Ian?

Wilkes. I know, you know, it's one of

the best angles we have on this show when you have a maiden

Victory, you want to bet him back immediately.

As let's go says, let's go. So we want to do that here in

the black-eyed. Susan had a big price other than

Miss Yearwood. I am big.

Understand a dream for a lot of the reasons that Meghan

mentioned here. And I think we have to also

include from my third spot here, little bell who has done

absolutely nothing wrong in the state of Maryland.

And last time I checked and also the state of Virginia, last time

I checked this was happening in Maryland, so we'll go.

Yeah, absolutely. Wow.

All right, so I did a deer manner if we were having a

draft. I'd get a dear man or myself.

Yeah. I have her on top.

I think tons of to turn experience.

I think she'll show well over there sir.

Surface, I think that the Santa Anita to Pimlico thing is legit.

I think she'll be good. I have learned about in the

second spot. Hamilton-smith Dennis araujo.

That's Maryland. Royalty, like like JD mentioned

five straight wins and obvious including this ticket.

For me. Of course, it hasn't been

mentioned the 12 favor who ran well in the fairgrounds Oaks but

behind Echo Zulu hidden connection is in this race as

well as in the third spot for me.

And I have the nine Interstate dream for all the reasons that

you all talked about. No, no shame in losing to Nest

the other thing. The Ashland that people need to

know. They have two different Finish

Lines at Keeneland, which is one of the reasons to not like

Keeneland and they finish at that first half.

No, it's not Oakland's, terrible to anyway.

So the well the second that to Finish Line's look let's not do

that anymore. We could be better, like it's

2022. We can we can make things good

now, but we choose to not make them good.

And that's what it is, but they'll redesign the drag.

No, I want them. No.

Just Use the one using one freaking to Finish Line.

Like, I don't know major different types of races.

Like, I don't know, people like that.

So we'll get through this because I know we're running

late on time. Plenty of decreases as well on

Saturday. The we'll start with race and

before which is the Maryland Sprint.

It is four hundred and fifty thousand dollars, six furlongs

on that main track. I went with the 7 on top Jackson

traveler for Steve asmussen. Then the six horse, who is mr.

Phil, they teamed up for them. So they went ahead dead.

Last time. Mr. Phil got the better of them,

but I still like, Jackson traveler tried quite a bit.

And then I, I mean, if you wanted a trifecta pick, I always

put three, right? For the most part.

Maybe full Authority is able to kind of get a piece of it.

But I really think it's between Jackson traveler and mr.

Phil. What do you think Judy?

I agree. And I have the same preference

there. I prefer Jackson.

Travelers to mr. Fill in that one.

And I think those two will be lined up on the lead.

So if you're looking at a long shot to think about, you know,

that will be closing late. The three threes over, Deuces

will be closing late and six, furlongs.

French. I really like the The setup for

this horse obviously hasn't necessarily gotten that set up

in the last couple of starts at Laurel, but there's plenty of

plenty of times where the source is closed and six Furlong

situations at Delaware and Laurel and Pimlico even in the

James W Murphy way back. When so seven year old gelding,

giving a shot here has a chance. So I am 763 in that order of

preference. I also want to say that That we

are an hour into the show and Louis is still working on that

Single Barrel. Cigar, you want?

That's true. No, it's these are really great.

And they have ranged from where we at - like 50 minutes to like

an hour and about 10, write something like that.

And it just depends on how much I talk, which means that I'm

talking a lot because this thing is, it's still, it's still

flying along with his great. All right, the only horse, you

all didn't mention that I have on top as disco Pharaoh, which

is a son of American pharoah, whatever his last two only has

one as a four-year-old is a gilded son.

Of American pharoah heavy-eyed Salado by the way, started the

Pimlico meet six of nine. So to me that is a the local

jock angle. I am 4. 5, 6 7, I will include

all of them in my middle pick for here.

All right, race number five is a grade 3 gallaudet a mile to 16th

on the turf for a purse of 150,000 dollars below.

There's three years old and up. I've got the for technical

analysis on top. I think this is a possible loan

speed situation for CAD Brown, Jose Ortiz.

No finished second. Last time in a Stakes race at

Aqueduct 34 for the distance, blah blah, blah.

Crystal Cliffs to is my second choice.

There comes from off the pace. A bit for Grand motion and Tyler

Gaffney own. They teamed up to win last time

in a Stakes race, and I had to round out my Trifecta.

I'd probably be with the five in a hurry for Suge McGehee and

Joel Rosario. Who's got some local experience

here. Louis.

What do you think? Yeah, I agree with you.

I think it's a two-horse race. I think you either lean on

technical analysis to get the lead.

Keep the lead or Crystal Cliffs to come off.

The pace. This is Promotion, Chad Brown

matchup in Maryland. That all of us love on the turf.

I feel like the class of win here.

I'm 24 in the gallery. They agree.

And I think you just need before.

Why are the fields technical analysis on Top If you're

looking for an Exacta partner, if you're looking for an Exacta

partner, we have coming off of almost a year layoff Armando de

la. Serda.

He does really well in this situation going back years.

You're not going to see a huge sample size, but you're going to

see a lot of wins in See similar layoff lines.

So just something to keep in mind that caricap see the

daughter of carrot, Conte will be ready to go in this spot.

There you go. All right.

Race number seven is the listed Stakes race.

The skip patched for a hundred thousand dollars for Phillies.

And there's three years old and up, six, furlongs.

We're gonna Sprint here on the main track.

Actually thought you could kind of use quite a few horses in

here. I went 986 10 in my top picks.

So the nine time limit being My top selection therefore at

Ortiz. Mike Baker has had a bit of

success at this distance. Plenty of top three finishes two

of those being wins. I wasn't racist February there.

So it's coming off just a little bit of a layout, but that's an

angle with what Mike maker hits at 17%.

And I think this horse is one that, you know, will be for the

place either on or near the lead.

So expect to see her. There.

She is. A daughter of busting Stones.

What you want to see, see it very often.

And And the eight horse here is Shakira for a gay.

So Korea. So I think will be your likely

leader of the pack there. One bad effort really recently

was when they tried to bring a horse on my land 70 yards at

Fairgrounds. Obviously, that didn't work out.

So we are going to get back to sprinting, which I think she

probably prefers, although she really has done both.

So I think she's relatively talented at.

Both those distances, this axilla for Brinkman.

Who's had some recent success? If you like the what have you

done for me? Lately angle and then the can

who is fille De Esprit, for John Rabe and has plenty of

experience at this distance, with the five out of seven

efforts being top two finishes. So Katie what you think, not a

lot of chances for me to give APA bread Chilean bread Exacta,

but that is exactly what I'm going to do here with the 5K

Allosaurus. I think Kayla Soros will be

chasing the pace that's set by chitarra in.

This spot and I do like guitars it to hang around for nacho

Korea's. I like these two horses over the

rest. I think I'm only taking five and

eight in multi-race Exotics here.

Okay. There you go.

Louis. What do you think?

Good God. All right.

So if she runs a race, I love the 6-cylinder.

This one. What a second.

Essentially. She's won a starts 344 at the

distance. She gets license back in this

one, which I really like, gets Tyler aboard.

I love all that. I totally agree about Kayla

Soros. I think if you're a 40 year old

guy like us, You dated a girl named Kayla?

At some point in high school, a twins 19 starts at the distance

serious breeding on Kayla Source, by the way, she's going

to be a really desired mayor later in life.

Broodmare. It's a 65 for me and Skip at.

I feel like I feel like Big Fudge would immediately say so

as a 40 year old male Meghan, had what do you think about

having a I went to school? Now, I mean, I love that.

You've got a variety of different, like you said Origins

for these. Maryland bread, Pennsylvania

bread. Definitely be an interesting.

One is the agreed to dinner party my own ethics.

Use of the term course. I personally felt that there was

no Beat it here. It starts to remote rainbow Pick

6. I went with the 6 and 3.

And then if you really wanted to, you could put the for in

there, but I think this is a tone Springs to win or lose. 25

year old child and who has done a lot of good running here.

Recently, especially in some big graded Stakes thoughts set

piece, obviously, 825 for Brad, Cox likely there as well.

And a little bit of trouble in the past to grade 1 races that

that he has been in. But, you know, and it's his

running style to can Be slightly problematic.

Because whereas, a tone since a little bit closer to pace and

just stocks set piece, is a deep closer.

And so, if you look a lot of his running line, say things like

traffic, you know, needed rooms, Etc, between late.

And so, he really has more of a chance to run into that trouble

because he is such a deep closer.

If he would just stay a little bit closer to the pace, which

obviously is not his Jam. I don't think that he would be

as unlucky as. He has been in some spots, but

that's just how he goes. But you think Louis, you know, I

think the dinner party has a name for a stakes races, top

three of the United States. I agree with you that the 3 and

the 6 are the most likely winners here.

Coming out of that, brutal mile at Keeneland, that grade 11 of

the best races of the year. The way that, you know, it's the

best, is that a horse named field passes won that race

before and so on. Damn right, it is Wait, what's

that? Where's where's feel pressure, a

little Marilyn bread there. Okay, so I'm going to lean on

those two, three, and six, I actually give a slight Edge,

just at peace. I think that he'll settle back

in and do well here. By the way, set-piece, six year

old gelding, atone. Five year old gelding.

We're going to see them for a while, which is awesome.

One of the best things that happens on Turf racing in United

States. Love it.

Really. What do you think?

So I think you either have to use set piece here and trust

that there's going to be enough pace and that set pieces, the

same horse that he was as a five-year-old, or you need to

toss. I'll give out the humble brag

here, that I thought step juice was a toss last year in the RICO

Woodbine miles, you about how to buy some cruise over, a space

traveler on the AVR knife, a big nice Exacta.

Of course, Tom Cruise. We all gave out Town crews.

In town Crews went from like 12:39 when the gates loaded till

like No one, but it happens. And the other thing I'll say is

as the Woodbine fan here. I mean this this horse is lost

in town Cruz and shrill spite. The last two starts to really

wants to get away from the Woodbine horses here.

I don't think Tango Tango Tango has done anything wrong to start

the four-year-old campaign. I think so Tango Tango up top.

I also think that we see someone's on the page there.

I think that has a chance to be your leading horse here with

gasoline on a board for Jack's ascertain.

Last race was great at Belmont and also one at Gulfstream.

So obviously he's been traveling the globe a little bit and for a

35,000 dollar, Keeneland. September purchases has done

really well for the connections already.

Earning a quarter million dollars Tango Tango Tango up top

for me. I think Dango Dango is possibly

the speed of the race. So I think you're onto something

there because without that, I just am a little bit concerned

about set-piece. Be able to close because their

this is so devoid of an early. I mean, it's either it's either

Tango, Tango Tango or possibly Beacon Hill, but I don't think

Beacon Hill wants to lead. So I think you're probably right

especially drawing the rail. Obviously, that's going to help

things for Tyler. Will I would think take

advantage of that race number nine is the chicken angry three

event, two hundred thousand dollars, six.

Furlongs on the main track starting the 50 Cent pick five.

I have the one Cogburn for Steve asmussen and then the six

chasing time. So I'm going to I'm just do it

at CSUN exact. I hear I got kind of boring.

In this race, so Louis Howe wrong.

You're very wrong. I'm gonna hold my nose Hudson.

I know never going to get it, right.

You got a drink, what? I mess it up.

I'm gonna hold my nose. I'm going to single the five Old

Homestead. That's Brent, Brent, Brent,

Brent, and Tom papel. Let's go.

Why not the old Delaware royalty?

Why not? This horse is just plain fast

though. And so, I'll trust that he'll

bring that speed to what's going to be an absolute parking lot on

Saturday at Pimlico. I think he's going to run really

well. Just come.

So, I'm going to single in the chick, playing with the five Old

Homestead. Wow.

That is, that is okay. JD.

What do you think? I was gonna say the exact same

thing that we did. So put all of your money on

every other horse in this race earlier on it.

So these little nothing wrong going from Delta to winning the

Lafayette. I can I get it.

I mean, it's it, you're going to get your, I mean, this is a two

to one morning. Line that I think is going to

float up, and I think this is actually going to be a value

single. This horse has done nothing

wrong. This horse has all ones on the

page have broke on top and won. Every race has been first at

every call. And until this horse does

something different here. I think this is a weaker field.

Then what this horse saw, I came One Last Time.

Honestly, cutting back and distant should have plenty of

Fitness on the side. I'm let's go wrong this morning

line is The two-to-one favorite, by the way, if Brett Brinkman

did win this race, it would be his first graded Stakes that he

has ever won to be very well placed in multiple graded

Stakes, but he has ever actually won one according to Aquabase.

So that's weakened. By the way.

He wins we're having Brett breaker in all the show next

week. Let's go.

That's it done. That's so moving on to the W.

J Murphy a hundred thousand dollars at stake.

A mile on the turf course, I knew.

With the 5 on top. Ready to perform the kittens?

Joy, love the pun in the name. So a brad Cox floor on her team

up with this Blood a closer. So, it's gonna need a little

pizza, run at that. I pray.

I think he'll probably get it and he's gonna get Lasix for the

first time here. I am not concerned about the

layoffs. Brad Cox with horses that have

had a rest of over 180 days or more wins at 26% with a pretty

massive sample size. So I'm just gonna, I'm just

going to do that. What do you think?

Lily go to JD? First?

I have a rant about this race. I've been I've been a big fan of

this horse and we obviously like this horse in the tessio.

Joe is done. Nothing wrong.

And I think there's enough breeding to say that Joe can

handle the turf. Obviously, debuted on the turf

and I think we'll have a good shot to win.

And I think the one other like crazy thing I'll say, is Tyche

Leah, Coos Tina is on the 11 world of fools.

I just know how to pronounce the name.

So, I just wanted to say that that can we do that?

Hashtag like this moment like for the show for sure because I

love it. It has his moment.

All right. Here's my small rant.

So Joe is the tenth horse in this race.

If they had nominated this horse for $600.

A couple of months ago to the Triple Crown.

He be running in the Preakness by virtue of his win in the

tessio, but No, they didn't Pony up $600.

So he's running on the turf for the first time since his first

race, which he did as a Sprint. Would I be picking him in the

Preakness? No, but if he wins this race, it

will pay 10,000 dollars more than if he had finished fifth in

the Preakness. I'm done with Iran.

All right. So give me the Danny Garden

train. Only Turf race was a loss, but

it's fine. His first one.

That's right. And it's pretty lost.

That's right. I'm Riot house.

Major bump at the start that horse had no chance.

Okay. Why are you both on Lasik stays

on that condition. Today recently won over the my

ligustrum Park will likely inherit the lead and lean on

Luis saez have rate properly. I agree with Megan, the five

ready to perform that does anyone else think that, that

sounds like should I even make the joke?

I'm not gonna make a job coming in for The numbers are possible

over Laurie is a ready to perform in something to do with

the trainer's name. No, pu r.

R fo RM just sounds like a lesbian bar.

I'm going to keep going 42% with first time Lasix 26 percent off

of Lasix, 25% in Stakes 26% with Laurels arou.

That is a dad joke, you're not wrong.

And so, I do have Joe in the third spot here.

I'm 75 and 10 in the JW Murphy. Okay, so moving on to the The

Sir Barton, which is a mile at a 16th, a hundred thousand dollars

on the line this race. By the way, sponsored by Brandon

and Deanna Perry to benefit to the Thoroughbred Aftercare

Alliance. Yeah near and dear to my heart.

By the way. My rescue horse is doing

amazing. I'm going to take some pictures

here soon and update you guys because he looks freaking

awesome and I'm super proud of him because I definitely thought

we might have to put the horse down after I got him because he

was in such bad shape. So let's I'm going to You guys

go first. Let's go to JD for his thoughts

on the serve Arden. I think this is a terribly

confusing race. Thank you.

I think, I think there's only ten horses in this race.

I think 17 horses want to be on the lead.

This is going to be a fast pace time.

Form. Pace projector has this as a

fast pace, looking at the Equine Edge numbers for Pace.

This is the fastest mile of 16th race.

I've seen from horses that aren't all particularly that

good. There's a lot of speed and Faith

types in here. I think you're looking at

recency and the track. And this is the one time.

I feel like this, these two days.

You can press this button. One time.

I think this is where I'm going to press the Brittany Russell

button and select the Addison, poor.

The force coming off of the allowance victory at Laurel.

I think this horse is probably the only one that has Own

consistently that he can pass on the horses.

And that's what I'm looking for here.

I'm not looking for 17 horses to line up of front and nobody pass

each other in the lane. I need somebody who can pass

horses late and this is a regally bred horse.

Obviously gelded, which is unfortunate, based on the

breeding, but obviously, had some some issues to get to the

track based on that. But yeah, give me Brittany

Russell in this buttons, but only with the out of support.

Okay, I cannot believe you went to him.

First. Addison Port is my Louise long

shot of the week. Never this aboard enforces.

No, it's okay. Never as 1, over 2 turns against

winners, Brandon heavy on the Maryland, speed figure has

improved every single race at a support 52.

One morning line, absolute launched out of the week to be,

I'm with JD on this. By the way.

I have a pic 54 late in the, this is my all but in this race

like I mean, it's To me, you either think ethereal road, is

the horse here or you spread, like I literally wrote nmf.

My kids just got home from a pizza party.

Sorry. The other likely winners are

stretching out on first time. It was hot pit, know, they have

taste. They're my children and I think

you could get winner from something like the six.

Mr. Jefferson coming in, off a sec, a strong second and the

tessio third time routing. I think he's ready to break

through in this kind of company as well for my long shot again,

the for Addison pores. As in this race, I'm punching

all in this race for a longer tickets, but I individually in

this race. I'll be playing at a support on

top. I actually like the nine horse

on top artists. I'm at a pretty legit price at

10 to 14 hundred thousand dollar purchase on Bond film.

Oh, we're going. We haven't talked in a while

with all of this Gunrunner arrogate, you know, talk that's

been going on, but don't forget about them.

Oh, of course. Silly finish for S debuted at

Oaklawn Park over a 6 for a long Sprint.

In a maiden claiming race albeit for seventy-five thousand

dollars because that's just how they do it in Arkansas.

And one that day it said slow. To settle.

So, you know, it seems like this horse you came from off.

The pace seems like he might have been just a little bit rank

there in the early stages and maybe he took some time to just

kind of relax that can also be the case sometimes when you're

sprinting and worse because those fractions are so fast, you

know, they're just kind of, especially debuting their coming

out of some fast workouts. That's all they know in the

morning is just when you push the button you go.

I do like the fact that he went stretching out next time over

the mountain. 16th was able to breathe a little bit.

Granted did finish second. So.

I didn't win but I thought it showed progression and maturity

for him. And I think Rudolph per se,

obviously a great trainer. He trained to be the people

young guy. He was the assistant for Belmont

for made rider for for so many years exercise Rider but I think

ten to one is just too high for a horse like Brooklyn Diamond.

So I'm going to include that one and then I think ethereal Road

who is quite the honk by the way, if you see this reaction

person he is told he is You know, he's essentially kind of

the class of the field. He finished second in grade 2.

It was the rebel, which was that.

Oh, so confusing race 1 by mu. No ho.

And, you know it, I think he deserves to be included.

I think they they probably realized that.

Listen, this wasn't gonna get any part of a mile and a

quarter. We're going to scratch him out

of there, you know, as he was obviously on the on the bubble.

I believe. I don't think he was ever

actually in, was he throws the 28?

He had to scratch out for a strike to win.

But was on the bubble for a long time.

Then got it. Correct, right.

Yeah, I feel like this is just much more with in his wheelhouse

and and you know Hall of Fame trainer doing, Lucas knew that.

So this is what we're doing here.

So I'm on the the nine in the one.

Alright, so the terse print, the Jim McKay Turf Sprint by

furlongs a hundred thousand dollars a year for Street

three-year-olds, and let's go to JD first with that the grass

angles. My first question is in this

race for older horses. Why are so many horses trying

Turf for the first time? Because they've just run out of

gas on the dirt apparently, so I mean this is going to just not

not be incredibly creative here, but carrot sorry off the layoff.

Obviously has tremendous ability, going five furlongs on

the turf and this is five furlongs on the turf.

So The only other horse setting for me worth mentioning is maybe

this makes six smoking Jay. It's very Jason has been up and

down but has has pretty much as a four-year-old.

Now I mentioned this earlier but race everywhere.

When you when you rest race that Delaware, Monmouth Presque Isle

Belmont, Woodbine Gulfstream, Park, Arlington Park.

Rip Churchill Downs. Yeah, you've raced pretty much

Keeneland, you raced everywhere as a four-year-old and 13 starts

in obviously. Kelsey Danner has this this

horse in this spot. For reason.

I think, you know, he's nowhere near territory.

So Kelsey I think is going to have to wait another day to get

our first win at Pebble go there.

Yeah, I I grab territory on top. I think the other horse to

include is actually the 37 cents, one last out at Keeneland

and a high-level allowance at four straight 90 plus speed

figures that horse. I'm going to shorten up in the

ticket. Here.

I'm two and three of the turf Sprint.

Martin. Shut up, Jim McKay.

That's my only hope for having a race ever named.

After me is that he was actually a journalist in Maryland and

they named him to race after him.

Not that I'm a journalist. I'm just a guy at a podcast.

Keep going. I got the 3 and the 2 seed comes

off a win here and unlike so many of these horses.

Like you said that are just gonna see what happens under

obviously has performed well over it with.

Six wins Lifetime and plenty of starts and then the two who is

Carrot re for Brian Lynch who, you know, has been raised since

December and seems like can't really string together, a lot of

consistent races, but he also seems to do well with some time

off. So, maybe that doesn't concern

me for this particular worse, at 925.

I actually prefer the three horse turned seven, but some of

the numbers that carrot sorry has run.

Absolutely, you know, this horse deserves to be in there.

And so, yeah, I'm gonna go with just those two for my topics and

that brings us to the previous which we already talked about.

So, we'll just give numbers, I guess.

Unless you guys have anything else to add?

I obviously have epicenter for ever gonna get like, tattooed

on. My body is my pick there with

the secret oath and second and then I've got simplification to

round out a super. If we're going to do that.

It would be early voting for me. Let's go to j.d.

Yes, I am all about the epicenter in this spot and I'll

put the numbers back up again. I am 814 and to I wanted to make

sure I got those right. So I put the numbers back up

there. You can form to ya later,

epicenter as well. Could another horse win here?

Of course, you know, it's a classic race and he's easily for

three-year-olds the most talented, the most consistent

coldness field. I should say horse because

obviously Seeker do this here. There isn't another like I

mentioned another hundred speed figure in this in this race.

He's got the top three speed figures here.

We mentioned the breeding earlier.

So I'm a lot of those tickets. I'll be, I'll be singling.

I'll be I'll be sick. Leave him at the end here for

sure what he ate. Okay.

There you go. At the last race on the card,

which we did not handicapped, is an Arabian race.

Just a heads up. There.

It is. Technically a Stakes race, a

grade one, but it is for the Arabian horses, which I'm not

very good at handicapping, but quicksand will probably Win

because that's just what he does.

And it is the only it is the only Arabian race all year that

merited that folks in miracle and can bet on see, there you

go. Fun fact, well, hurry up and

stay at the windows and just, you know, keep so on those.

Right JB. Do you have my light pick five

here, actually? Because I, there's, it's a

pretty low base. Even with the all in that, the,

the JW. Oh my goodness.

In the Murphy with Joe and all those horses.

Thirty dollar base, you can kind of play with those things all

over there, but two singles in that sequence for me all of us

agree on epicenter in the end, which means that he'll lose by

some kind of overcome terrible thing, chance, more likely

Megan. There it is.

So starting a race 9, the 5i single that Megan besmirched.

And then I went 5 7 10 and then all and then two or three in

that Sprint race that we actually agree on you and me

Megan and that I have epicenter in the last.

I This is always an interesting card at Pimlico.

It always feels like you can play about a 200 dollar pick for

and make a couple Grand. Actually, it always seems to

work out that way. And so this is the kind of day

where you can, you play those bigger tickets and have fun, but

don't don't miss out on black-eyed.

Susan day. There's so many good races, so

much fun on that Friday, and so, just a terrific, that two days

in Maryland. We also were pretty successful

last year, at picking quite a few horses on.

I know, I know ESPN radio and I mean it was like they shouldn't

have we got off the air because that's what we were scheduled to

do. But like, for everybody's sake,

they should have let us stay on the texted me.

They're like, totally don't lie. Please don't leave us.

I mean, we everything the Stars aligned for everything that we

said last year. So hopefully that'll be the case

again this year. You've got the, the benefit of

having the Insight of JD Fox's. Well, that horse.

So use that to your advantage for sure.

But yeah, it's going to be interesting card.

I mean, it's always an interesting day.

I just love watching the broadcast if I'm not there

working it because it's such a wild animal.

So, all right, so I'm going to I'm going to start talking about

it because oh no, these are July 1st.

Churchill Downs, Friday, LIVE edition of the horse-racing.

Happy our plan on it. Let's go.

All right. There you go.

It's as if that somebody started playing that song.

I'm in a bar and you're like no stop and like hit the Jukebox.
