All right. Welcome to a very hot edition of
the horse-racing happy hour. I'm Mike and off.
Oh, and I'm joined by. We were bow, he missed.
Be in Louisville, I guess now. And we got, listen, I'm gonna,
I'm gonna Fanboy a little bit because, you know, I grew up in
a Kentucky basketball hassle. We have the leading scorer and
rebounder men's basketball of Kentucky's, men's bass.
We can't say leading scorer of overall because the Valerie
still has more points, but that's, alright, we got your
Valor hurt her. Her her her do.
But we have Dan Issel. Who also hosts with Louis on
ESPN, little from 10 to 12 so make sure you catch that show.
It's been very entertaining, you know, love the conversation.
You guys got going on. So Dan, welcome to the hill, the
horse racing, happy hour, thank you very much, I appreciate you.
Having me. And I didn't know that it was
the happy hour happy hour. So I have the kids this year,
ready to go. That's right.
The king of beers so and so you're Budweiser Louis.
What do you got working out? Some Russell tenure, oh, it's a
good value bourbon right there. Maybe it's like, can't get much
better than I've got some Blanton's enjoying that and you
know, living the good life right now.
So now Louis I want to give you a little bit of a trivia
question which which men's basketball member at the
University of Kentucky has been retired more than any other
number who retired more than any other.
So Dan War 44 that is correct. When I guess dad's retired a
really long time ago so that wouldn't be it.
Hey, I will tell you that dance and 44, Dan is the last 44 to be
retired. I can take you in.
He it is the most retired number 0 and Kentucky basketball.
There's only there's three guys who have got the number 44 that
are hanging from Rupp Arena and one of us.
Can I bet dad knows Dan knows who they are.
I'm sure they are you know I know cotton ashes.
One hot Nash is one One of them and is it was his name
grawemeyer that it's correct. Feel grawemeyer.
Look at that. Yeah.
And and who was the better athlete than you work on Nash?
Well, cotton, you know, cotton was really good.
He was an all-around athlete cotton actually played a couple
of minutes with the kernels, but then he went on to play
baseball. For the White Sox is that right?
And there's Nothing else I could do besides baseball, junior high
team so I guess we've gotten was the better one?
And I'm guessing if I had, if I threw Ralph beard in there then
Ralph Baer was probably the best athlete of all three.
You know, Louise heard this before, my father-in-law who has
gone all the way back to seeing games in Alumni Gym.
Wow, Memorial Coliseum will tell you that Ralph beards the best
player that ever played at Kentucky.
That's that a guy that I got to know a little bit before he
passed away and just, you know, always happy to share his story
about how everything can be taken care taken away from you
so quickly. But yeah, I mean, when you talk
about some of the Great's and Kentucky basketball, there it
is, and but yet so, but there's none bigger than the horse de
nesle and we're super excited to have you here, Dan, when you
were tired, were you like the Wii?
U, Top 5, leading scorer in professional basketball when you
were tired. Yeah.
When When I retired, Mike, I think I was number four for
okay. I think Curry Berlin.
Kareem was ahead of me Julius Erving and one other player, but
as a Merlin or not Chamberlain, I don't think it was Wilt.
Maybe it was, I don't know. You know, that's, that's when
you add the ABA points to the end points, well, in for our
younger listeners, which we actually have a big demographic.
Graphic under under the age of 45, Dan scored all his points at
Kentucky, without a three-point line and only playing three
seasons because they didn't let freshman play.
So it's just an amazing feat and played for the legendary rough,
Adolph, Rupp. But you've, I mean, I want to
have another conversation on my other podcast at some point Dan,
because I want to talk about you've been part of some amazing
coaches, right? I mean yeah, you've been
blessed, I think Mike. I think I've played.
For four coaches that are in the Naismith, Basketball Hall of
Fame, that's pretty good record. And then your high school coach
was really instrumental for you, and he's the one guy who's
probably not in there, but I know your high school coach is
really important to use that, correct?
He was the one who took. I wasn't really good early on,
in high school. I couldn't make the fresh soft
team as a freshman. I could make wow sophomore, but
coach fan brush. Nick get took an interest in me,
and I started to grow which Also help but he was he was the one
that instilled the work ethic in me.
That enabled me to do whatever I wanted to do.
But you know Louis will tell you this mic and I'd be glad to come
on your other podcast. But I'd much rather talk about
horses and oh, I know I'd be less.
I just had to get gas. We have a whole audience out
there that probably doesn't is not familiar with you but they
need to know who you are me. Last week we had racing Rachel
and all the horse racing people know who racing Rachel is Jesus.
Oh better looking than you Dan. I just want to throw that out
there. And now we're bringing in Dan
Issel. He was just, you know,
unbelievable, battle town. But you know your horses and
we're excited to have you here and we're going to get right
into it and let's talk about the racing from last weekend because
Dan and I met pics on the ESPN show.
We were all On Bleecker Street like we were loving Bleecker
Street and the same connections won the race with in Italian the
same owner, the same trainer, and Just unbelievable.
Run by an Italian because when I went to an Italian race Louis,
those were some fractions early on he went wire-to-wire.
Those fractions early on set up for Bleecker Street, yesterday
she bleep. You're in Italian, ran
unbelievable race dad and I talked about it on Monday and
Dad's, right? I said this wasn't just a single
race. This was a spread or a site, but
I didn't include an Italian into my analysis unfortunately.
But I did say in the analysis, there's a chance.
Someone gets out front stays out front, that's what we got with
in. In the highlights of Zach, if
you have that, go ahead play that stretch call out at
Saratoga. Great quarters.
When the stretch Here Comes technical.
And up to challenge. Change it is in Italian who
holds the lead technical analysis running in second, then
it is a Rouge Ear. And Bleecker Street in Italian,
trying to go. Why do wire here?
And in Italian here at Saratoga wins the Diana and front-running
fashion. So, the remarkable thing is, you
mentioned Mike were the fractions 109 over over six.
Furlongs is really fast for that, for that course.
And for that length of a race on the Curve and so to have those
at still have that kick at the End by that that mayor was very,
very impressive, but Lois you were right on the number you,
you said you thought somebody could get out there now.
I know you didn't know that she was going to go that fast but
you said you thought. Somebody could take the lead
being alone, speed, and hold on. You just didn't have the right
horse. You thought the loans was
technical analysis. Yes.
And the low real good race. It was right there, but it
wasn't as good as it is. Yeah, that's right.
In Italian was the one who took the lead and held on.
So if you listen and I already heard, by the way, I was out
walking, the dog in the neighborhood and neighbor came
out of his front door, like at 6:00 in the morning, like, you
didn't give me the winner on Friday.
That's, that's what. That's what, that's what I got.
And then the other big race at Saratoga, was the great three,
Stanford, where we saw the two girls run, and we got to see
most strike Come Away with that Victory.
Let's go ahead and play that onesie.
They are right together. Then, great Navigator and curly
Joe. They're coming off of the finish
in the Sanford stakes, and it's going to be most strike to win
it here by three lengths, right? Navigator got up for second.
So most right gets the win and the great, I don't know if it
matters yet. We're obviously very early in
any kind of Triple Crown talk for next year, but for the
juvenile definitely matters. And of course, we know that an
uncle Mo horse can can do it all, and go ahead and win the
Derby because we've seen that before.
So Louis need any takeaways from that.
Just I mean this was I mean I think I had two races where I
gave out winners that were off the board a little bit.
This will certainly one of those.
I thought Mo strike was an absolute include in this.
Old Ran really really well. We also got on Friday of try to
remember Dan was at Winning. Colors, was the last horse to
win on dirt as a two-year-old and then win the Derby.
So in New Yorker and Saratoga can remember which one was one
of the don't know. I think in general.
Oh, okay, yeah, just in general. It's a very unlikely thing to go
from 2 to 3 and win the Derby. And and that's something, you
know, Mike. You and I talked about on this
in the spring on this show is, you know, we're looking for
those horses that are not necessarily peaking in May, but
they're getting better on the Derby Trail.
And so once they get to To Churchill Downs.
The first Saturday in may, they are ready for the Derby.
Most strike. By the way, if you own that
horse, sell it right now. Not get your money right now
that horse is not going to win the Kentucky Derby.
Easy for me to say because it's not by horse or by millions of
dollars but no, just really impressive.
I mean, Brad Cox with two or three year olds.
I mean, it is, it is what it is, right?
And I just thought that, you know, he would not put that
horse in that spot. If he didn't think he had a
chance. They could got a 2-1 on that
horse. I was against the F favorite the
race before in the optional claimer and that so that double
paid 51. So Somebody out there at it.
Wow, there you go. Dan.
Would you think about the racing and you take away?
I was, I was impressed. We you and I think picked up
love others when we talked on the show.
Friday, Louis was the only one who mentioned this horse and I
was pretty impressed. I mean he sat close to the PACE
and was a good honest pace and as you saw on the replay, he was
pulling away. The hopeful Brad has said he's
going To bring him back in the hopeful at the end of the meat.
And the hopeful is tur is starting to look like an
unbelievable race at this point. And it should be for a grade
one, but I'm really looking for, I love following the
two-year-olds and and I'm really looking forward to the hopeful,
I love it, you know, and then I agree, I mean I think we
typically see these two year olds run right now and it might
not mean a whole lot because history will tell us that The
two year olds that are running high in the lounge races.
In the fall, are the ones that you know, are kind of gearing up
the that we need to kind of watch as a three-year-old
season. Really get serious next year or
so, but Uncle Mo really puts the puts those first name in the Hat
and maybe make it to the Breeders Cup juvenile.
Maybe not. We'll see what happens.
So, alright, we had some big news, really kind of coming out
with you know a lot of tracks incentivize for in-state horses
too. Run that has not worked out
well, in California. So, delmar's already do in this
Louis and Santa Anita is basically getting ready to do
this this in the fall where they are going to get some really
great and Sinister horses to ship to California.
Yeah, the ship had win. So I'll give you an idea on
Sunday. There's a filly and mare race
that will be race five on Sunday to Drew for entrance.
For a grade 2 for Del Mar on Saturday.
Here are the field sizes, race threes through 11:14 14, 12, 11,
13, 14, 12, 10, and 13. I think they figured something
out. And so kudos to Santa Anita for
finally, sometimes these things are way simpler than we make
that we're worried about the size of the full.
Crop were worried about, you know, things over here.
Sometimes it's as simple as it costs.
A lot of freakin money to go to your race track sometimes,
that's just it. And so they're going to
incentivize wins a person is at 35 percent for horses that
essentially have it started in California, in the year leading
up. A up to the race that they're
entered in that Sonam Stakes race.
And so that's a real chance. You know, especially if you run
you know say a high-level allowance it's in a need it's
going to be like 65 Grand you know you had a third that's
twenty thousand more dollars essentially in the purse for
those horses. And so it's just it just makes
sense that if you want to keep your racing product as good as
possible, even if you don't get top, top level horses, at least
fill those fields out and give better as a chance to at least,
at least, you know, take a shot if they want to, or you don't
really press on favorites in bigger field.
So you know it is obviously works at Del Mar Dan you and I
were talking about this today it obviously you know it's almost
like Del Mar. Is it in Southern California?
All right. If your sizes and with it with
the racing and the quality of it, it's almost like it isn't in
Southern California and so kudos to them because they figured
this out a long time ago, I think they've been doing this.
I mean as long as we've been doing the show Mike for sure.
And certainly before that, and well, we've Incredible family
like we've been critical of Sandy and don't know for sure.
It's been, you know, a nice respite in Southern California
stuff, what of Art and Dan. I don't know if you know this,
but I'm wearing my my Delmar Breeders Cup had here.
Actually, there you and I, you know, San Diego's our best
market for this show fans down there, love the sport.
And one of the reasons is that they do they do it right at Del
Mar, they just do. We also do a really good job of
picking horses out of Delmar Louis that might have something
to do with it. So you know I've had this
conversation with Louis before Southern California except for
Del Mar the last few years. Mike has almost been unplayable.
I mean, five and six This feels there's an odds-on and a 9 to 5
and so you know you really can't play.
You can't make any money delmar's, the exception for a
number of reasons, you know, it's a great place to go and
watch, watch the horses as great place.
I would imagine to race a horse and to train a horse but you're
absolutely right. You know, Southern California
has an advantage, we're on the during the day, most of the
Product is over back. Extend in the Midwest and
they're the only ones running. So if they put a product on on
the on the field like delmar's doing people are going to play
that. And of course as we all know,
the more people bet the higher the purses and the more, the
horses want to run their, I think you're right to add to the
point that they've made two o'clock Pacific time there.
Go to first first post, right? They know that's 5:00 in New
York, they do. 5:00 in Detroit, Miami, whatever it's 4:00 in
Chicago, you know, those races will be running well into the
7:00 8:00 9:00 hour and so yeah. Do they know exactly what
they're doing as far as capturing the audience.
And now I'm thrilled to see this because I was telling Dan to
man, we need Southern California to be good at horse racing.
We need it's a matter. And, and we can't have a place
like Santa Anita, which is hosting the Breeders Cup next
year. We can't have it slip into the
AAA ranks. Like that's not a thing that can
happen for us. Now, as a sport.
I mean that's just not acceptable and So Kudos, like I
said, Kudos it up because, you know, we could be critical when
it's right to be critical but when people get things right,
it's worth mentioning. And that's why I wanted to talk
about this today because it's good to see someone in in horse
racing doing the right thing for.
I mean in this case for people who own horses for sure, but
also for betters right, this is just good for guys like us and
so I'm excited to see it because I do I like Santa Anita but like
Dan, I just there are so many days when I just don't even look
at it, you know, because I see the field sizes, like, sevens a
big field or something and I just, I don't know that that's
the Way to go and he makes fun of me for loving like Turfway
and that kind of stuff, but would all of the fields are
eight to twelve horses, right? It's interesting, at least right
and Pennywise, it's really interesting and so I'm hoping
I'm hoping this trend keeps up more.
People are able to shifts in Anita and because that is a
beautiful place, it would be, it would really be a shame.
I mean, people think these things can't go away.
Played football at Hollywood Park, they're about to play
football at Arlington Park. These things can go away.
Yeah, we don't need. We don't need saying, I need to
go away. And so, I'm happy to see this
program being put in place. And, you know, the That I linked
it to. It's really straightforward.
It's really simple. It's a short article.
But it's, you know, in the business of horse racing, just a
good thing to see that that someone's being forward thinking
about this and trying to, if not be reactionary at least get
ahead of what might have been shorter fields for the fall.
Yeah. No matter how successful it is.
It's going to be Bethel, good idea what it was for and then
like a perfect examples on. This is actually happening at
Saratoga this weekend, it's not happening and in Santa Anita.
But this is a very sane Eat a type race.
The Country Club of the Coaching Club American Oaks and it's got
five horses in it and this is one.
See growth is 1. So you're going to have five
horses, one at 4:53 and one at even money.
And I mean, how do you play that?
You know, you know, it's just, it's not, it's not entertaining
and we've been critical. Now, we the one thing that I've
always heard and I might be wrong, I might have heard wrong.
Was that their barns? The barns at Santa Anita are
full? They just the horses are not
running, okay? So, The one that is still sadly.
We're a. And there's, I mean, yeah, you
could stall at low cell, if you need it to actually and be
within the quarantine rules. I, you know.
So I think you know, there's there's opportunities in other
parts of the city and I'm not saying like it's an easy drive
from Los Altos and Anita, I'm sure with traffic that can be
pretty long but, you know, it's at least an option and I think
once you see this kind of money in place, you're going to see
more people either. You know, either getting spots
at Santa Anita, or a Saint Louis, Ray, or a low Sal, and
being able to Two stable, even a small number of horses and just
have slots for people. Yeah, you know, talking Mike
about not not running horses. I think one of the worst things
that the Daily Racing Form ever did was when they started
putting the trainer's percentages on piece because you
know, nobody wants nobody wants to be like winning at 8% so
therefore they don't run the horses unless they think they've
got a shot to win. And then there are people that
are Are critical of the breeding, you know, back, when I
first started watching horse racing, you'd prefer you bring
horses back, two or three weeks. Now, most of these trainers
think six weeks is a fast turnaround so there's a lot of
reasons for the small fee and I'll listen to em.
We're going to be talking about one of those old school every
three weeks horses here in the, in the handicapping section.
I know, for sure and and the Molly Pitcher.
So a horse that's art, that's gonna be run for the third time.
In the month of July at three different tracks in three
different states. So we'll get a little taste of
that old-school mentality here in a little bit but in actually
I guess it is a good segment to go ahead and let's get into that
handicapping segment that is sponsored and brought to you by
Green Sheet racing promo. Louis Tom about the great
things, going on a Green Sheet racing, you know, when I when I
first moved to Louisville people ask me.
Are you read? Are you blue or UB B?
NR U U of L? And I said, no, you know, I went
to college. I got one of those.
And I got I got Pro Sports from Detroit.
I don't need. That said, what's for Pro Sports
down here and they said, oh we don't do that.
And I said, there's a huge Stadium over there.
What is that? They're like.
Oh, that's where the horses run. I was like, okay, I'm gonna go
figure that out and so I go and they hand you the form and
there's no one there to tell you about it.
And so I pick up a pick up a green sheet, and I start
comparing what they've written in the Green Sheet 2.
To The Forum. And after a couple of months, I
was really comfortable and so it is a really frankly, it's a
weird weirdly distinct honor for me that the tip sheet that got
me into the game. Now has be handicapping for him
and you could find my my sequence in there every
Saturday, thank all of you and curse.
All of you who went to my local store and bought.
All of ab. Last week, I didn't get the
smell out, sold out what I got there, but thank you for doing
that, of course. And but yeah, you could also
find those a Green Sheet racing.com this week I did.
Guaranteed four hundred thousand dollar, pool all Stakes pick for
at Monmouth, leading into the grade 1 Haskell and again,
Louise got some stuff going for the Haskell but will have Del
Mar stuff later this season. It's all do Delmar next week for
the big boss. Absolutely 100%.
So Green Sheet racing.com, go get your cards, get your, you
know, you can listen to the show, you can get some help
here, get some help there and health hopefully will help you
find the winner. So green sheep racing a.com,
we're going to start again at it.
Monmouth if it is Haskell day at Monmouth and then there is a all
Stakes pick for that. It was only a 15% take out and
there's a it's a guaranteed four thousand dollar pick for, but
it's going to be much higher than that, isn't it?
Louis. I mean, it's gonna be yeah, it
that that will that will touch a million dollars for sure.
Yeah. So this is this is the one
Stakes race not in the pic for and it is the grade 3 Monmouth
Cup. This is a race that has actually
been around since 1977 start out the Meadowlands and then
transfer it over. The Monmouth and I think 2010.
So the who do we like here in the great three Monmouth.
So I landed as I try to pull up my notes.
By the way, I forgot to winners here.
That spectacular bid and Ali Sheba won this race.
Okay, there you go. There you go.
I do think the two horses that are shortest on the morning line
are the favorites pipeline, the six, highly motivated, the
seven. This this is the only race on
this card where I looked at it and it says, great three.
This doesn't feel like a great three so horses that are coming
in out of Either allow its company or optional claimer
company have a good shot here. Highly motivated, of course,
coming out of that one, turn mile at Belmont under flavian
Pratt really, really tight race with Stage Rider but did hold on
in that optional Claver. What aquiline before that.
And or excuse me, ran red just to quarter likes behind horses
like soup and sandwich an awesome Jerry at Keeneland at
seven furlongs before that was closing at the end.
So we're hoping maybe some of that late kick will come in
tomorrow but a horse, that's a little off the board that I
like, is the for rough. See this horse is On the Morning
Light just one in an optional claimer at Monmouth.
So gets to Monmouth first time out.
Wins runs a 96 over this course. We're going to Milan 1/8 in this
race wins over on a mile in his 60s, by 10 likes horse, seemed
to just love the track and so I'm hoping we return to that
form. I'm a little worried about the
workout times. They seem a little bit slow but
all of those were before the last race.
So I don't have to worry about him that way.
No time to work out since the last run.
I think this horse just ran so. Well in that optional claimer
that they decided to run the horse in this race.
So I'm actually if you're going to this starts, the pick six, so
the pick six actually finishes the race.
After the Haskell, the pick five is the last two races after the
Haskell, which includes a sixty five hundred dollar claimer in
the last race, which is why I did not put that the Green
Sheet. I decided to go with the else
takes pick for probably Smart Choice.
Probably, but look, you got, you know, in this race every single
horses Breeders Cup nominated. So they think something of all
of these horses, right? And so, I'll rest on, I came up
with the with six, seven and four here in the eighth.
All right, mr. Bissell.
Well I agree with Louis Chad brown stew horses look like the
class of the race. I also agree with Louis when I
when I first read the conditions and I don't know how you
handicapped but I that's the first thing I do is read the go
question race and when I saw that this is a four hundred
thousand dollar purse. They got a bunch of allowance
horse. I was surprised frankly.
Told run for 400,000 though pipeline, you know, sometimes
and really make a jump from free.
Pour, where did that one or fire figure come from the last race?
I mean, if he runs that race back, he'll are here and then
highly motivated in Chad Brown and and flavian Pratt.
I also threw in a long shot, but it wasn't, it wasn't a Louise.
Number four, mine was the number three and Uriah say.
Louis, if you follow him, he doesn't win very many races but
he when he wins they pay $70. I look at the course and we
talked about, you know, both both Pipeline and highly.
They're coming out of state races.
This horse is coming out of a grade one.
He was in the metropolitan handicap now.
He got beat 13 lengths but he got beat by a horse called
flight line, he was from forcing training, right?
And I went with my with my choices, I went 673.
Speaking of Flightline. Lou, I don't know if you, you
know, you probably saw this but nobody doctor Derby at horse
racing Nation, had his rankings for the older dirt.
Males and had flight line. Third, that's our guy.
Oh my God, back to Wisconsin. Come on.
All right, we're going to move on to the the matchmakers.
Steaks and talk about some Phillies and mayors that are
three year olds and up. This is a two hundred thousand
dollar purse. It's a mile and an eighth on the
turf. This race was originally run in
Atlantic City before that track basically became too dangerous
to run. So we've got some good horses in
this race from definitely some some major going to recognize
that are probably on the end of their career will be hooded.
You like here. So this is the beginning of that
pick for that guaranteed pick four.
And again remember watch those takeout rates, Mom, that's very
fair on the pick for is 15% Sent really playable.
I want to say this, I don't have this horse in my handicapping,
but I'm fascinated by the move tutor for whole body moisture.
The one, I don't know that she wins first time here, but I
think everything about her makes sense in this spot as far as as
at least trying grass and so I'm interested to see what she ends
up doing. You know, maybe maybe the
breeding damn doesn't look like, she's going to be a Turf horse,
but I like the idea of moving her to the turf.
Give her a chance to try something different because
she's one seems pretty high. Race is right and so it isn't as
though you know she won the devoted.
Gal devoted else gives me at a grocery park over that one turn
Mi. It's not as though she can't
win, you know, at the higher levels.
It's just her. She gets away from wanna deal.
Unfortunately, trainer of like want a viola I got hung up
Lincoln Kinky are. Oh my gosh.
Mr. Was in his barn moves to the Michelle, Hemingway barn and
it's just been a disaster with her and so I'm hoping the the
move to move to Turf will be good because that that was a
horse that I really liked on the three-year-old Trail.
All right, all that said, I have the 5 on top here which is which
is flighty Lady. And so in the in the sheet this
weekend, I'm going to Talk about the favorite that I'm against
in. This is by the way, the same
connections of, in Italian and, and Bleecker, Street same
ownership trainer. There you go.
Fly, you ladies have a tattoo. I'm actually probably leaving
fluffy socks out of my handicapping altogether.
And so, I have a 5 on top flighty.
Lady Joel Rosario, Chad Brown. Don't need to explain why those
guys are great. Just read a 96, speed figure in
the grade one New York finishes less than a length behind
Bleeker. Street.
Now I heard all last week on this show and on Friday about
how awesome Bleecker Street as well.
If she could be within a, you know, within a length of
Bleecker Street, we're dropping down a class here, we're running
at Monmouth, this should be an opportunity for flighty, lady to
jump up the for was in my second spot here, lady Rockstar.
This is a Brendon Brendon. Walsh Jose Ortiz combination has
run twice in the US has run one. Both of those, they slowly moved
this. Horse up in class at first at
Churchill Downs and then at Belmont, I love what horses
could win. Different types of turf surfaces
because it gives me hope that they're going to adapt to the
next one. Just as well coming into
Monmouth here. One at a mile and an eighth one
at a mile and a quarter were going to Mile and an eighth here
with her. So I have 54 on top of the night
included, the two and that is Allah Mishra.
At least, excuse me. That's another Chad Brown and
like it a little bit like an Italian last week where was a
little bit off the board but it was a Chad Brown.
We get Flavia and pride here, horse hasn't won in several
years. Has been running and graded
company. I Think though that there's a
possibility, she jumps up here. And so I went 5 for two in the
ninth race, Peter Brandt and Chad Brown.
Hoping have a big day because they also have Jack Christopher
running in the Haskell later on to.
So all right. Dan, who do you like in this
race? I love it.
When I completely disagree with Lily, nice, my favorite that.
I'm throwing out in this, in this race.
And I'm going deep because I'm pretty slim in a couple of
races, but I through flight lady come.
If Lady Lady completely out. Awesome, let's go.
If you look, if you look at that race, Louis the last race.
Great one. Yes, she only got beat by
Bleecker Street by 3/4 of a length.
She goes the half in 50 and three and three quarters in 16
and to we walking, she makes yes.
I don't even think she makes the lead in this race.
And if you if you put a line through that last race, usually.
You talk about putting a line, through bad races.
I'm putting a line through a good race here, because if you
look back, there's nothing in this form that says, she's a
grade one horse. You're telling me that Eric
cancel is as good as your well Rosario essentially by making
that point you're putting a line through our console, not through
the horse of mine. But what, but wait a second, I
mean, Rosario Strait, although, I still hold it against them.
The bride that he gave up Center.
I'm just, I'm still mad at him about that one, but, but I, I'm
the other to the Louis used actually lady.
Rockstar is my my top pick. I think she's really shown that
she can run with these Frankel, you know, he's The Heir Apparent
to Galileo in in Great Britain. So my I used for horses in here.
I I use the to the, for the six and then I use I use sugar
source to the seven. I think you know Paco Lopez the
last two times out as written written her pretty well and so I
went in my pick for I went for deep here.
Mike all right, love it, love it.
We're gonna move on to the Molly Pitcher stakes.
And who knows who might picture was anybody handles?
No I don't. This is she was, she was worked
in a beer garden. Now she actually she actually is
a dad joke, you cut him off. Is it a picture of beer in the
beer garden and he cut off Dan Issel?
I thought that's terrible. I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go to
state of the quantity of myself and my picture was The is
basically, I don't know. Some people think it's a woman
named Molly Haze, but it's actually probably someone who
embodies a lot of women who fought in the Revolutionary War
at the Battle of Monmouth. So, there you go.
That's what this race is named after the Molly Pitcher Stakes,
weren't crazy, great, three mile.
And a sixteenth on the d'oeuvre Phillies a three year, olds and
up, four hundred thousand dollar purse.
And this is a race that has produced some great horses in
the past. We've seen midnight, Bisbee Zoo
here, we see neurologist and we've got that held the one
horse that we were talking about is race.
For the third time in three different states this month and
that's Army Wife, we have seen that this is the first time.
We haven't watched Army wife in person.
Louis, and those we've seen their other two runs, but we
also got Bonnie, South here could be a really good race.
Whoo-hoo. Yeah, you know, it's interesting
all talked about, I talked about the Monmouth cup, not feeling
like a grade 3, this feels like a grade to it.
It's a great three out, right? So this actually feels like a
really, really good field. I'll let Dan go first here.
Oh, okay. This is my single.
I think, I think search results. Stands out here for a couple of
reasons last time out in the grade one Ogden Phipps she got
within two and a quarter, length of Clary.
Are there aren't any clear years in here for sure?
First time, Lasix and a great again, we're talking about Chad
Brown, Chad Brown might sweep this car, not, not the card, but
the five races were talking about.
He could win all five of them and and so What time Lasix.
You know and she I guess I guess Bonnie self will be the second
choice in here and and Bonnie's. She just beat Bonnie South by 6
Plus lengths, last time out. So this is my single.
I think this is the best bet of the day at Monmouth Park.
Search results is the favorite. I'm trying to beat on Saturday.
She hasn't won over two turns since the gazelle last year.
Add Brown is very intentionally. Only run her over one.
Turn, this is a 1 turn horse. They're trying to over to turns
here. Give me Army Wife.
It give me Bonnie South who have a lot of to turn experience, and
I think are better to turn horses.
So I'm going for and seven here trying to beat search results.
The favorite no concerns over Army Wife, running in three,
different states in the month of July.
She's gonna get a month off here, she's good.
Okay. All right.
She looked awesome at thistledown.
I know it was against lesser competition but she loves to
turns. I feel really good about this
one. Louis.
What's wrong with her training trainer has?
Isn't he heard of load management?
All right, we're going to move on to one of your favorite races
of this year. No doubt about it because this
is probably one of the Top Turf races around.
I mean it does not get much bigger than on the turf in the
summer and that is the United Nations.
It is a mile and three eighths which is a distance of Louis
really likes a grade one. We were you going to go first
here you can pass it to Dan I'll let Dan go first I I know we
have an obsession With three-year-old races in this
country and that's fine. I think the United Nations is
the best race that they run every year at Monmouth.
Okay, yeah. Yeah.
You know, you that that's a great point and because I
singled in the last race, I'm going to use a few in this race.
Starting with the one. And at hammo is that are you
saying? Yeah.
I don't know. Yeah.
And now bouquet, you know, I think I think he is Is
definitely a mile and three eighths horse.
And again, we're talking about Chad Brown and flavian Pratt.
I threw in Mike makers, Horse Temple.
I like that last timeout. The Pan-American that didn't
work too well, but he before that he was very competitive
and, and has had what three months off to get ready for this
used? Chad Brown and and Franco.
The four horse moving. That is a true move on to of on
who won this race last year, by the way.
Yes. Yeah.
Yeah. And and, and that, that race
last time out in the Manhattan, that was his second race this
year. And I don't know how you get
much more impressive than that race.
The buyers came back 108. If he gets an easy lead here,
he's gonna be really tough to catch and then I use the Ten
gufo, I don't know. Rosario might have to win one of
these. So I'll I'll put gufo in on this
card to gufo to me is the class of the race as far as having one
grade ones, being competitive and grade ones.
Etc. They run this horse at the very,
very highest levels. I landed on him at the top, just
based on that. I essentially have just using
the three horses that finished in that Manhattan in the top
three dad. I totally agree with you about
Adamo who had a horrific trip last time out and I needed him
to come through. And stretch my ticket a little
bit for me. Got stuck at the rail, could not
get through. It was a little bit flavius
fault, but he Adamo and gufo essentially got stuck behind
Trevon who went out front. Stay down front with many
Franco. Michael tell you on this show, I
had become a huge fan of Manny Franco in New York and in those
races alongside Chad Brown, they are now up to 33% winning in 191
races in the why recent sample size that's we don't, you know,
we think of that that's like an eye Radner.
Koror, that's a Flavia number or that's a, you know, a Tyler
number now. That's that's Manny Franco, man.
He's legit. And he's showing it.
I like that, you know, so I have, I have tryptophan in that
group. But essentially, I landed 10th
one and for Louis, you make a great point about Manning Franco
because I mean, Chad Brown, look who he can choose from, I mean,
he's he's right. Anybody can choose from the
Ortiz brothers from flavian. And, and from Rosario, For him
to put Franco on his many live horses.
As he does, he must feel the same way.
You do only 33% sounds like a knot and I'm not exaggerating.
It sounds like Johnny V and baffert Out West like it's that
it's that good. But we're talking about New York
with your t's where the colony frankly is significantly better.
So yeah, I have a very I've come this year to have many Franco
very high regard, All right, well last year, mandolin got two
big grade ones takes wins and didn't finish the Finish Line
first place in either one of them.
And, you know, last year, the Haskell really hurt, because hot
rod Charlie was the best horse in that race and was taking down
and rifle yslow. You have to tell Dad about how
Charlie, you know, as you already mentioned it, we are.
Yeah. My grandfather is the person who
kind of got me interested in horse racing and we used to go
the Breeders Cup all the time. He's had a dirty box since the
1930s. Passed away in 2001, but had a
car dealership. And his name was Charlie.
So hot rod. Charlie was my horse.
And I'm at the we're at the Breeders Cup watching the
juvenile when hot rod, Charlie kind of made his made his jump
on the main stage and he was Louis.
What did he go off at, like 50 to 1?
I think it was more than that. I think it was everybody been 55
divided. Yeah but something something
like that. Yes like a large number and I am
typically a person who plays a horse across the board and
because of such a launch, I just played it to win, and he came in
second after leading, almost the entire race.
But I felt terrible for you, that just like you did at the
Indiana Derby day. I did not feel bad for you that.
Yeah. Okay.
All right, exactly. But but I've been Hot Rod
Charlie fan ever since. And, you know, hopefully hot rod
show. You can get that major Stakes
when this year, too. So, but this is the Haskell and
we've seen unbelievable horses in this race including American.
0 and maximum security and another horse that won the Derby
first and then get credited with it.
But this Haskell Stakes. Probably not a sexy.
Still a good race. Oh boy, I like this field a lot
but keep going. Okay, I have I have issues with
this field and the in the issue I have with this field is I know
that Kaiba is going off at 4:53 and I feel like what?
No, he did you just shake your head?
Yes, knock it off. It's all right.
That's what he is in the morning line that's totally fair.
Yes, that is correct in this field is I'm not a big fan of
this three-year-old class in general.
Yes, you've made that clear on the show and there is a lot of
above average for this 30 class in this race.
This is a good bedding race. This is not like a All-Star of
All-Star races that we've seen at come out of the Hat School in
the past. Like, you know, I don't think
any one of these horses, it's going to want a Cup Classic.
We're not, you know, we're not looking at that, so He was not
winning the Breeders Cup Classic.
No, but Jack Christopher might I don't know, I think he's a
three-year-old and training, let's just go straight into
this. Okay, so tell me.
What do you like the freaking Haskell is?
I think Jack Christopher's, the best three-year-old and
training, I really do. And I've said that on the show
before his last race at Belmont in the Woody Stevens, I said
don't even think about anyone else in this race, it doesn't
freaking matter. He goes out, he wins by 10 likes
over seven furlongs. I get it were stretching out
here. He was very good in the Pad.
De Mi wins that race off the Off coming back on Derby Day.
We saw that bike and the great soup at bio wins.
A champagne last year for one turn at Belmont.
I am being a little bit of a hypocrite here.
I just went in on search results.
One turn horse. And now I'm saying the Jack
Christopher could stretch out. I have good, I have a good news.
We got money's. I think this is a horse.
You know, we found out what speightstown that there's it's
pretty hard to predict if those horses are going to be sprinters
or if they're going to go long, it's a little like Handy Ride,
those those, those babies can kind of do anything.
You'll fight, Turf, spreaders in there.
You'll find You'll find to turn dirt horses in there.
I really trust this horse. I think Jack Christopher is the
best of the three year old crop. I am thrilled.
They're running him here. I think Jack Christopher not
only wins the Haskell. I think he makes a statement and
I think he does it right over tape.
I think table comes second here and then in third I actually I
have CyberKnife. I really like that horse I think
he's really really good one. The mat win last timeout.
Churchill Downs, my on a 16-2 turns, Buck 41, nice time there
floor. Raja is flying in for this one,
obviously, not a good Derby. Not not a good, Kentucky, Derby.
Guess what we've said that about?
I don't know what more finished last at the derby with out with
a bunch of great ones. I don't hold that against the
horse and then in fourth is a horse, it kind of hurts my heart
a little to say because Y tu Barrio was a horse that I really
liked on the Derby Trail. One me a bunch of money in the
fountain of youth, but I don't think he's up to the class of a
jack Christopher. And so I would 721 here, top
three and I think Dan If you were going to single in this
sequence, I would lean on Jack Christopher.
I trust him that much because we're being the best
three-year-olds like being the best DVD player.
Okay? Go ahead, that's fine.
Don't you're right. That's why I said the United
Nations is a better race. Don't don't do that to me.
I already said that but I you know with him I do think he goes
to turns here and then he shows up and say you know, he shows
back up at Saratoga or something and then you have to take him
seriously when he wins the Traverse or something.
So I think I think we're going to find out the Jack Whispers
the best three-year-old and training.
I agree with everything you said I thought he was easily the best
two-year-old last year. You throw up a 102 buyers in the
champagne as a two-year-old. And of course, they took him to
the Breeders Cup and that was a vet scratch.
And and we had Chad Brown on our show, Louis her be weak and
Chad's may. I mean, he did wasn't going to
say anything bad about the state better.
The Breeders are, but I don't think Chad Got that horse should
have been scratched, I thought he was.
He was Champion two-year-old. Even though he didn't get to run
in the Breeders Cup, he's come back this year, done nothing
wrong. Here's the one thing that
concerns me and you mentioned the top side of the pedigree
with things munnings and Spicer. The bottom part of that pedigree
half hours in a half hours, a 1 turn horse.
Yes, exactly. If you're right.
And so, That I think you're right.
I think he will prove he's a to turn horse.
And I think he wins this for sure.
But just to just to cover my tracks, and I didn't this, I
single the other horse, I'm going to throw taba and because
Mike Smith and I have been friends since before.
Either one of you, two were born, I gotta go with my buddy,
Mike Smith, I want a horse and Louis, you know, this is our
best mayor Is enfold to not this time and not this time could not
be hotter. And I wanted to make a case
howling time. Got beat a nose by CyberKnife in
the mat win and I wanted to make a case for howling time.
But if you look down here at Churchill Downs, he has three
wins and a second in four starts every other race.
If he doesn't come close, it's a little like Rich strike that
way. Yeah, so I'm going Jack.
But I'm covering my pick for with taba.
Yeah, I mean d, if you don't take the effort in a
three-year-old race I mean what are we doing?
I mean right. I mean I don't care how much
time he's had off. That's what he does.
Is he's a specialist in that and so X is he won this race 72?
They ran it. They ran it extra for him.
Not. How many times is he?
Why do you know, Mike, I've had to look and see.
Okay. Yeah, let's move on to Del.
Mar if you want Louise official, pick for bet here, you gotta go
Green Sheet racing.com. You gotta buy the, by the form.
I just love new reality, folks. Yeah.
Sorry. Or if you're my neighbor, you
just go and buy a pair and then, you know, you could probably go
back and listen to the first little bit and you know, get an
idea of what was well, but yeah, Louis kind of said what favor he
was against and he didn't tell us what?
Who's this? Most likely winner unless he's
going with Jack Christopher on that one.
I don't know. I did not go with Jack, I
actually, yeah, that was, yeah, it was okay, I was right.
But the ticket structure and the way that I would want to play it
are in the sheet. And so, there's, there's
something about the structure that I think is really important
because I think Dan might be onto, you know, Chad Brown wins
a bunch of these. The payouts might not be what we
want them to be. Even with the big pool, the only
good thing about the guaranteed pools is that people take shots
right Dan that they're, you know, they'll go after a bigger
score because they know there's going to be more money in there.
Therefore there are more dead tickets in the pool as well,
right? So but that's my hope.
Is that sometimes on these days, we hope That the class isn't
going to class. And then the class classes is
that everyone's all surprised at the best horses, went on the big
days. And so my sense is the best
horses are going to win. We're going to get a goof.
Oh, we're going to get, we're going to get a Jack Russell for
that kind of stuff. So, you know, there's a way to
lean into these races. I think that could be really
profitable and that's what, that's what you find a creature
hissing.com. Okay.
Well we're going to move out to one of my favorite tracks, want
to dance here tracks and it's Delmar Louis.
You have have you been to Del Mar?
You have happen to tell Maria. I don't know.
I mean, when you're on on mine and Dan's level at some point, I
love it. It is, it is what it is.
We're gonna start with race. Now.
When you give a big three right here, this is the blue.
Sanitas there's a hundred thousand dollar purse and it is
one mile on the turf course at Del Mar where the turf meets the
surf will being Crosby for you. Right.
There it is. You were you were talking about
earlier League 12 horses right here?
Yeah, yeah. So let's let's get the
handicapped and going and of course Dan I am married to a
woman who has beautiful curly Red hair.
So I'm going to take the tin rocking, read it.
So, who do you got here? Dan?
You know, I thought this was an extremely competitive race, if
you look, I don't know how much you guys depend on the buyer
figures. I use it as a part of my
handicapping, certainly not everything, but there are four
horses in this race who had an 88 buyer last time out, other
one, who had an 86. So I thought, I thought it was
Extremely competitive, I think one horse that's that that's
probably I don't know if it's a play against but I would guess
ham would flyer. The to horse is going to get a
lot of play. But look at the fractions that
that horse ran the last time out when a half and forty, four and
four and six furlongs in eight and four, and ran the last
quarter mile in. T5 and for right runs the last
mile last quarter, mile in 25 and 4.
She'll be up the track on Saturday so I used her but I
also went with a couple of other horses.
I like the 4 horse Avenue de France.
I like Carpe Venom the six horse and I went a horse that I think
you have to play is the Horse bye-bye birdie.
Now, totally agree. Last time out, she runs on the
dirt. Yeah, it's feet. 19 links.
Three races back. She was in the Santa Margarita,
a great to and got beat eight and a quarter length on the
dirt. Look at her grass races, she's
there with the rest of these. So I put the 11 on my ticket as
well man. Okay so Dad that's awesome.
Okay so I've of the 11 to my second spot Mike you and I agree
on the top horse here rocket redhead that's George Papa Dro
mu and Abel cedeno who I love. I love it.
Yep. Coming out of an optional
claimer hundred thousand dollar optional claimer with a horse
was not available even for a hundred thousand dollars wins
over a mile at Santa Anita and so George, the trainer does
really well with horses coming in with this amount of time off.
So the horse ran in late May is going to get a little over two
months off here hits at 29%. When those horses, come back and
so I'm interested to see that horse, I Dad I think bye-bye,
birdie is an absolute include here because if you, you know,
we talked about putting a line through races, the dirt races
are the the race is to put the line through the horse is 2 for
2 at the distance going. A mile on the turf 141 at Del
Mar. The horse also, you know, finish
right behind legs Galore in the misdirection, even going a
spreading route. A sprinting race.
Excuse me. Not a row, but a Sprint at Santa
Anita. It elicits takes and like,
schoolers are very, very fine. A horse.
It's interesting to see her back on on this surface.
I'm actually going to play a double where I use the 10 and 11
and hit a couple of horses in the next race because both of
those horses, by the way, dinner 821?
Yeah. It's so that's a really great
price and then Avenue to France, I just don't know when that
horse is going to show up. So if you're playing a longer
sequence, you might have to include that horses coverage.
But I think the way to get value here is to play horses like the
10 or 11. All right, so we're going to
move on to the 10th race in. This is a six and a half hour,
long Sprint, on the dirt. It is an optional claiming race.
But we've got some steaks horses that everyone's got to know in
this race. It's an eighty four thousand
dollar purse, and we have horses down tubes is easy rocket here,
Louis Who do you like in this one?
And I laid it on another longer shot here.
So I landed on Desmond toss who's the seven hero Drayton Van
Dyke Stephen beati to them, hitting at 23 percent this year,
didn't hit on their one today. That's what it's last two races,
both of them listed stakes. And so we're dropping from
listed Stakes company into this company.
Six furlongs to send Anita comes back at La Salle wins over a
mile with Juan Hernandez, who's on a different horse in this
race. But Drayton I really trust here.
He's winning at 12 percent this year.
It's not a huge number that I guess the worst Mountain
Southern California. Be winning one of and every
eight races is really impressive.
I think this horse has a really, really serious shot.
So that's one of the horses. I'll use in the double because
if I can get an 8 to 1 and then in a 2-1 in a double in
California, I think that's really good.
The take out rate, structure, and California's very strange.
The double rate is 4% lower than the pick three and pick for
rates in the later, part of the sequence.
And so I like to play doubles when I'm playing out in
California, I also landed on the 10 which is apprehend 12 to 1.
So this is where I might use to her.
Horses and two horses to try to hit that double Joe Bravo, Peter
Miller here, Peter Millard, not having a great comeback off of
his suspension but this horse breaks Maiden at Oaklawn Park
comes back and said I need a wins again.
Is going a six-and-a-half her lungs again.
So this horse essentially at the distance 141 at Santa Anita and
so I'm hoping we're in the spot where Peter Miller who hits an
18% in allowances. That's a spot for this horse as
well and then land on the to CZ rocket.
Because frankly, if this horse runs to his ability, this is a
horse that's run in the Breeders Cup.
Sprint, multiple times. If that horse runs to his
ability, he should win this race by open legs.
Yeah. Classroom class in that one, but
he's an eight-year-old gelding and has a run to his form in a
little long. So, it's a there, it's a
reasonable question of CZ rocket.
Still has it. If you look at the training
though, 46 second for a workout over for furlongs recently, a
Delmar the horse still wants to run, that's not the issue.
So I'm not mad at owners or trainers or whatever. /.
It's just does he have it in racist as he still have that?
Whatever it is, that made him great before.
The horse has made over a million and a half dollars.
He's done his job, he's a great horse.
Does he still have it? I don't know.
That's why I'm taking a shot with some longer horses, but I
would 710 and into here, okay? I said earlier, the first thing
I do is well as read the condition.
So if you read the condition of this race, it's three year olds
and up, which have never won 15,000 twice other than Maiden
claiming a starter or state bread.
So you I think, well, this is just a typical to other that.
Sure. And you read the or other part
of the condition is horses that haven't won a race since August
28th of last year, which is why all of these State courses that
you said, Mike getting this field and so II picks easy
rocket on top because of the workout pattern just sprayed one
horse blinkers. Go on.
You know, as you said Peter Millard hasn't come back with a
great strike rate, but the this horse looks like the class of
the field. I also threw in baffert's horse.
Now, I know, you know, he's been away for over a year, but Bob
baffert coming back after 180 days is 33%.
And look at the workouts. This horses had just one bullet
after another. And so I went to three this way.
All right, we're going to move on to the main event.
This is the gray to San Clemente a mile on the turf or
three-year-old Phillies two hundred thousand dollar purse.
Louis three-year-old, Phillies are your specialty, and I know
you have turf tracings to let you go last year, mode and go
first. Okay, this again is another wide
open race. I think this Pick 3, if you, if
you can hit this pick three, I think you're going to get paid,
I used. Well my my my top pick is island
of love with Hernandez, filled the motto as just done great
with these kinds of horses and you know it might a mile the
last time out in the honeymoon. They went on Mile and an eighth
and that might have been a little long for her but she's a
Kodiak Billy. But the race before that was
exceptional. So Island a love is First
choice. I also use the one lady T.
Now, this is a mayor that are Philly, rather that's never been
on the grass, seven lifetimes starts, but ran second last time
out in the great to Summertime Oaks and buying into Mischief
out of Malibu moon mayor. So I think she ought to adapt to
the turf very well. So I use Lady T and then the
other one I use was Another Peter Miller Runner, the
Numbers. Number wise, she doesn't she
doesn't stack up with this field, but she hasn't raced
since last November as a two-year-old came over from
Great, Britain and won her two races last year at Del Mar on
the grass, Adam. I'll Maiden special weight and
then came back and won that Jimmy Durante.
So I am, And for in here, love it and I have the same horse on
top here. So maybe, I mean, frankly, you
know, with with islet of love being 521, you do get one
Hernandez, you get filled the model, the two of them hitting
at, you know, recently a Del Mar 24 percent overall, a 23% might
be where you get skinny here, take a shot on a five-to-one
horse. Maybe that's where to pick.
Three sequence you can get there.
You know, Dan, I landed on different second horse that you
didn't talk about the six Bella Bell with better rispoli who I
consider to be royalty on grass in California.
Yeah, I'm sober. See.
These winds, the blue northern Stakes immediately at Santa
Anita and solicit Stakes. But it's a mile, it's a hundred
thousand dollar race that's kind of race.
We're talking about here was restricted to Phillies.
And so, you know, I'm interested, you know, if you
might be able to go pretty short here to me with the 8 and the 6,
but I do really like the to Countess Rosina who came over
from Newmarket. After her first race comes over
the US has never lost in progressively gotten into longer
races or runs six furlong. Brakes are Maiden runs an
optional claimer at a mile and and wins against winner.
Excuse me, optional claimer at six and half her lungs wins
against winners. For the first time comes out
again with Ramon Vasquez winds at at a mile in a minute. 36,
that's not fast enough to win this race.
I don't think she's going to have to be faster than that.
And so I'm interested because she's she's run different styles
here, which is really interesting.
If you look at it, she was in the second position and that
last race before that though, she was way back in the field
even though her running Numbers her early numbered, her late
number, aren't that different. She's a balanced Runner when she
wants to be in it. Obviously with those three races
they've been able to show that she's either able to go early or
she can she can close late and so that's where I landed.
I landed 86 and to, but you're right, Dad.
I now that I'm looking at it as array, whose the for that you
mentioned. Peter Miller training makes
sense here especially since he brings horses off the layoffs at
23%. So it'd be interesting if she
comes back in good form here. But trading in San Luis Rey, and
seems to be a good form. I'm sure our boy Matt dinner men
will be cheering for the night. Will be there Anthony's
Cleopatra who won the Cal Oaks up and go gay Fields.
So, by the way, I mean, seriously 21 on that horse.
There's no reason why you couldn't, you know, I don't, I
don't mind that either from a long shot play.
Well, she goes up to, she goes up to the California, fair
circuit and she tries dirt. She runs a crappy race on dirt,
but she's been running on synthetic if she takes to the
turf while she can win this race.
You're right? Absolutely.
You want to have a longer shot there?
Anthony's creepy. Each of the nine, there makes a
lot of sense. Okay.
Dan, it's also SEC media week for football.
Do the cats continued their streak of 10-win Seasons?
Yes. Oh I love it.
I think. I think that the trajectory is
going in the right way. I think that coach Stoops is
doing a great job. They only have four Road games,
Mike, so all, all they have to do is win their home.
Games against Georgia and beeps Zuri and Ole Miss.
And they've got the ten games. So I would expect them to win 10
games for sure. Well maybe they'll even get
lucky and get a cupcake in a bowl game like Michigan State,
or something like that. So, that's what we terrible,
Heist. That's what we want.
That's what we want. I agree.
All right, you listen, I couldn't handle that because if
Michigan State be Kentucky about, you did not hear about it
until the next time they playing football.
Not that kind of guys. All right?
Do that today I'm not to use. Listen, I don't think this is
gonna be the last time. You see Dan on the happy hour,
