All right. Welcome and two dudes.

One cup Edition horse race. Ha ha ha.

Obviously a big one for the show.

He'll be checking in a minute. I'm just kidding but our first

Eclipse awards that we actually got to vote coming out right now

and so we thought we'd go a little bit early so that people

can watch the rest of the eclipse Awards as they come out.

Of course the big news of the day Bob baffert suspension in

New York is over Zack. I have thoughts and we I'll get

to them in just a minute but welcome.

And how are you my friend doing well?

Doing well, it's been a heck of a week.

They're stacking. Hi, it's Abby.

It's the best man. We've reached that point now

where it's going to be waterfall style.

We're going to see those every week.

Yeah I'll be on the radio show that I do in the mornings.

I would I had someone texted to our show today like, hey, I

can't, you know, really excited, excuse me about, you know, about

her. Jason look for, do you guys

covering it and all that stuff? And I and all I could think was

This is, you know, this is the, this is the time of year, man.

And I encourage people listening to the show.

If you've never done it before, you know, with the Derby troll

people act like it's like you have to spend all day Saturday

doing it. No.

It's 10 minutes to watch a race and then think about it

afterwards and be done, you know, if you want to start

watching the old trail, you could do the same thing, it's

like 20 minutes out of your week and so I encourage everybody, if

you can just start a you know, a little clock reminder in your

head, maybe even at the end of the day Saturday, go back, watch

those replays. You don't even To watch him

live, just go back, watch the replays, figure it out, who it

is, for yourself, by the way. So that when you do get to that

first week in May and everybody's buzzing about a

different horse and maybe it's one that you haven't watched.

Well, this year, you could say, I want that horse that horse.

Isn't that good? I'm not falling for this.

I'm not falling for Danza, I'm not falling for whatever, right?

And so this is a good opportunity to start.

Now when the 24 traces are just getting kicked off, we had to

look up. Last week, we'll talk about his

to coffee. We'll talk about why he's not

going to win the Kentucky Derby and then we love get into Ali

the Southwest at Oaklawn this year and they're sort of path in

Arkansas to the derby as well. And it is a I mean many many,

very good horses have come out of Arkansas Derby, last year's

winner, of course CyberKnife. The you know, 2015 of course,

you've got American pharoah out of that route to the Kentucky

Derby, Bode Meister overanalyze it.

And I made fun of them, but they, as it was one of those

horses. Hit the board in the derby as

well, coming out of the Arkansas Derby.

So it is a, it is a prep that matters until we will definitely

talk about the Southwest. Obviously it's also a pegasus

weekend and I just spent three minutes setting up the show

that's in the sport right now. But I think we have to talk back

for first and I am of the opinion that the yak teen

experiment was such a disaster last year.

Yeah, that you're going to see older skip the Derby this year.

And I think Bob's going to say to them.

Look, we can run. In the last two, we can run a

nice California scheduling up to that.

You don't, you know, you don't have to win the Kentucky Derby

to be a great horse. Ask I mean, epicenters probably

win horse of the three-year-old year.

Yeah, and he didn't touch a classic race this year as far as

winning. And so To me.

I think you can make that case. I think the ownership sees it

now, as not even the two-year, ban part is done.

It's a One race fan at this point.

As the Kentucky Derby this year, they could run in 150.

Next year, they could run in the Preakness, they can run in the

Belmont this year. So to me, I think you're going

to see, I think you're going to see some very good horses, not

run in the Kentucky Derby this year.

I think that's what we learned this today.

It hurts me because I go to the derby.

Every year, we covered every year.

It's a, it's a big part of our calendar.

Obviously, the preps are a big part of our calendar, but I

don't. How do I put this?

I don't, I don't I don't judge owners for where they put their

horses. I think I have ideas about where

I would put them. If I only if I had millions of

dollars, it was able to place a horse for I wanted.

But I simply don't and so we will be doing that who he grabs

me? Of course what's our new

hashtag, Preakness. Trail is the thing that's right.

Bob Starship of those horses to Maryland.

Let's go exactly like yourself apart immoral.

Let's go. Can you imagine if eliminating

my having to show up in Kentucky, I can just go To

Maryland and New York then I get, I'll take every one of

those. Triple Crown winners.

You think you're going to win, I'm gonna knock him out in

Preakness and Belmont. You know, it'd be funny to is if

he goes to the derby preps, anyways, it steals the plates

from other horses. He's already been doing that I

know, but I could see him doing it much later in the year than

he did last year. And that's when it gets

interesting. Is he going to steal hundred

what if he wins a? The Florida Derby is on this

year. Every Wednesday, Arkansas Derby

was got a horse in the southwest.

He's got think it's back. One of his best.

Southwest. What is his motivation for?

Not winning it. That's the real question.

What's my not stealing the point?

Yeah, yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you.

Hold of it, his all the money to win it to be like, yeah, thanks

Derby. I didn't, and I'm won the

Florida Derby. I won this Derby, all the people

who are in the Kentucky Derby. I mean, what if the news

headline is Sanity, the Derby and the Arkansas Derby.

Horses are not running in the Kentucky Derby or even like for

the first time ever or not the first time ever, because the

dirt was running for a 150 years, but for the first time in

a long time, the best horse will not be running in the dirt.

There's a three-band, the horses else's right?

That one, the Arkansas Derby, the Florida Derby, the Santa

Anita Derby. They're all running Preakness,

baffert has made it clear. He is running in Preakness.

Yep. Like that's that's going to be

debilitating. It's gonna be great, man.

It's going to be great, like, what last year during the Derby?

No one knew that epicenter was going to have the runs that

epicenter had. But if but if let's say

epicenter was Bob baffert's horse and he was like, I'm not

running the Derby, then dominated the Preakness.

Yeah, right, right. Comes back wins in the Traverse,

right? Yeah, like what's well, you're

right that horse over the past the table.

Horse racing doesn't have that many, well, advances like manag

TV. NBC.

No, that's right. And frankly, the south west

southwest 750-thousand dollar race every year olds, man.

Yes. I mean, that's why you run

there, obviously. But I mean, you know, but number

two, I mean, like he can, but he could play spoiler here, which

is a rare role for Bob baffert. Oh my gosh, I guess Medina

spirit is like the one time he had a quote unquote spoiler but

I mean if you left a bathroom off your ticket like I did just

an idea. It's so it's it isn't something

but I think that's the story. A of the day.

Obviously we're keeping an eye on the eclipse Awards as they

happen as well. But boy, oh boy, what a what a

bombshell that dropped about 4:00 this afternoon.

So, all right, and you know, the weird thing is, is when you

think about and I've talked about this, a lot, when I've had

the chance to on the show, which is you think about her size,

right? The Derby isn't anywhere near

the top of the Heap, right? So you can skip the derby, win,

the Preakness win the Belmont. When the Breeders Cup and you're

taking home ten million dollars between those three, real.

Sure the Florida Derby or the gotta remember, too that baffert

won back-to-back. Most very recently, 20, excuse

me, he won both of the 2020 Arkansas Derby, which were run

on the traditional, Kentucky Derby Day with Charlotte's

headed. Dull and then really doesn't

have a ton of runners in the race.

Other than that, outside of course of American pharoah and

then before that though did have Bodie Meister of course.

So I mean for in the last you know, the last 10 Runnings it's

not like that 10 11 or 10 10, 11, 12 Runnings.

So it's not like he's unfamiliar with shipping horses to Oakland

Park or anything like that. So I just, I think that if

Arabian line runs well on this race, you see him stay on that

Arkansas path. And they just pick off these

races and maybe You know. So he doesn't know Mike wants

into the show. Oh, poor Mike, he's in the back

porch like hey, did you just call me The Horse Arabian Nights

gives me, you know why I did that, you do, I do that?

Because Dan is, why? Why?

Why? Why do you think

we are? We are predicting or we, I am

predicting that he's gonna Golf a bunch of dirty preps in the

not ship is horses to Kentucky and I was saying that if you

think about the rest of the Triple Crown season he could

spoiler at Preakness spoiler at Belmont, spoiler at Breeders Cup

and one horse take away 10 million dollars and the drug

winners but you lose money, you lose money because you don't

have to bring. It's all about the stuff he's

wet. There's nothing to the purpose.

I totally disagree. That anyone would look at

Arabian Night, Uncle Mo. I've got an Uncle Bo Hue but if

you if you want Because you didn't win the Gun

Runner's. The Gun Runner's is huge heated.

When the Derby I Want to start once his horse and started

running well 250k for Uncle Mo. I mean, these are not, these are

not. I'm just, I'm just saying jokes

effort wins three out of the big four and the fourth race here in

Arabian Night wins the Derby wins the Preakness, the Belmont,

the Travers, and something in the Breeders Cup Mike's Bikes

answer is they didn't win the Derby so it's stud fees.

Like 15, by the way, I think Arabian, I just went in whatever

races in so that if a rapist I'm looking for I'm looking for

Instant coffee. Instant coffee brain in a much

better. Race little comp is a much

better race in the southwest. Let's take far as the

competitiveness of the fields. However, an instant coffee looks

fantastic. Instant coffee.

Just showed me unless he can become a stalker.

He is not a Derby winner, it's not at all bigger.

Now, Kenny adjust, if I were going to see that in the next to

prep races, where he can stalk, instead of flat out clothes will

see, but you might have won this year's Derby.

Good. Well, because we had because Red

Rabbit. Yeah, now.

So, we got to watch that too. If we have a rabbit, this is a

different thing. But even when he was in 5th,

coming around the turn, that's not last strike.

That was dead. Last Brett strike was dead last

until Midway through the the back.

What once once Summers tomorrow start dropping is when with

strikes are coming up and they pass each other almost Midway

through the field and that closer, it's hard to win right

now, since the point system, Has been placed.

It's hard to win at the clothes are flat-out.

So unless we have a rabbit and I know that's not that's uncommon.

So now we're going to see if a raving I can handle the two

turns, and if he can handle a few turns and then take off a

good rebel field, I mean, I think he's your Derby winner.

They're pretty for, you know, he's gonna win the free Kentucky

Derby. Mike.

The eclipse awards are set to kick off.

What was your most controversial Eclipse vote?

Man, I don't like, I don't know. Remember, I've had to go back to

the book. He's like Adele full member of

the national, Turf writers and broadcasters.

You can follow him at Big, Mike and elf on Twitter.

I will make all my stuff public tomorrow.

I'd have to go back and see who was the most controversial?

Well, I'll tell you what, the most controversial was, is that

I didn't follow through with the juvenile races.

I didn't know, I didn't either, especially on the juvenile.

Philly at Wonder Wheel was not, was not my two-year-old Champion

two-year-old. I did go, and I think you did,

too. Who's your belly?

Who's your Filly? Hey, girl, I put the horse that

won the turf as meditate as my second cashiers.

And so I just, I didn't think we solved the best two-year-old

Phillies in the Breeders Cup and I didn't think that they deserve

to be, you know that consideration.

And honestly those people that put her Wonder Wheel as its

Champion two year old Billy. I think they laid up and they

just took the easy route up the easy way out because of you you

can't tell me that that horse is better that he's you're feeling.

Yeah, if you listen to me all winter, You're exactly that.

Frankly I'm serious. Is that got tired of hearing it?

All right? What else you need to say to us,

I'm gonna go back and watch basketball.

Okay. I thought you had these like

strong opinions about the Martha, Washington, or

something. No, I said, I just said, I said

the Southwest Stakes so so that you think the one to one

favorite is going to win? Well, I think I'd only that, I

think he's, you know, how rare it is for me to be very high on

the Derby, Contender this early? Well, what will happen is, we'll

get closer to Derby. You'll tell me how crappy the

3-year old crop is and then that Arabian Nights a crappy.

I think that this could be a really, really good field.

Feels like a good three year olds here.

I yeah, so far a lot of races, a lot of help.

A lot of different things going on.

All right, get him out of here. Dave might get off of me.

Quick to I know both head coaches.

Really well. You know obviously Scotty d goes

to church with me and but we've known each other for a long time

at Bellman but aw Hamilton who doesn't unbelievable job at

Eastern. Kentucky was twice a coach for

me in the Derby Classic coach Terry Rozier in high school and

all that kind of stuff and just a great guy.

And I just love seeing these, two guys compete against Jose

and whilst one. So Thanksgiving night off Louis,

you're welcome for the free tickets to, by the way.

Yeah, thank you for the free tickets.

Yeah. Well, thank you.

Yes. P.m. yeah.

Like lower lower. I hope people followed our pick

three last week's, right? Yeah, this is great.

To Phil's making three path progress and instant coffee is

gaining as the paint starts to percolate.

They turn for home. Three quarters and one of the

twelve point zero two seconds. It's to Phil's instant coffee

charging hard on the outside Echo again led by his drop back.

They come down to this final Fairgrounds Furlong and here's

instant coffee who's been lifted to the lead by Louisa is from to

Phil's. Second toward the inside.

They're close to home. It's instant coffee.

Instant coffee wins the look. Um, Stakes by 32 fills with

second Confidence Game third. So, interestingly in the sheet

last week, I gave out the Pick 3, we talked about on the show,

I played it for five bucks cost, 20 bucks to play and it returned

275 bucks. It's know that everything I've

ever, that's the kind of retired, we're open for we

single instant coffee in that last race.

Now, the interesting thing about him is he was clearly the class

of the field, right? No question.

I think out of that group, though, to Phil's, if he Can.

I like the running style and I think that he's got the stamina

if he can figure out a better trip or Frankly just I just

trained, get stronger faster, whatever.

Developers the three-year-old. I think there's something there

as well once in a while in these and he's really to turn perhaps

we get to see a horse that we think will be good later on to

Phil's could be that horse out of this race.

Like Mike mentioned, excuse me that that running style of last

the first and I mean dead last uppers.

For instant coffee is usually not a player in the modern point

system game, obviously Rich strike an outlier in that.

And so I think he's going to have to figure something else

out there. I do want to say that I am that,

can you get these horses off? My forehead.

Is that something you can move? Okay.

I do want to say that, I'm very disappointed in you right now,

okay? And the reason why is because he

said that watch this race percolate and you didn't say

anything about that. Your commentary just now.

Hmm, fair enough. He said, instant coffee coming

up the back, watch this race percolate and you can say The

percolate to percolate. Alright, then the other cocks in

the Alice. Look she went silver bullets.

I told you you had to include her because if literally I said

if the other cocks winds are going to feel stupid and the

other cocks one. So here's the replay, the silver

bowl day, which is a 20-point prep.

The first one for the Kentucky, Oaks took the lead from hanging,

never know who's drop back and he was chop-chop coming with her

charge. After the Alice.

Look, both are Brad Cox as they come past the quarter Pole, As

in 10 to 12 point, 51 seconds. It's the Ellis look and Chop

Chop Chop. Chop is just in front chop chop

and the Alice look chop-chop. The Alice look and these two

have raced away from hey you never know then Forest Chimes.

It's the Alice. Look, who's dug her heels in

formal. We say has the Ellis look repels

chop-chop, the win, the Silver Bullet, a Stakes, the Ellis look

over chop, chop. Okay, here's the deal.

Sometimes horse racing is a little simpler than we think.

Louis is is a better jockey the floor.

I was ruined, he schooled in that in that stretch run, he

just didn't, I'm not sure that the Outlook is a better horse,

I'm not. But that was just a clinic and

absolute clinic by the resizing stressor.

He just not gonna get any better than that.

And he goes back to the fact, it was the Little Compton calls

card. I mean, I just, by the way that

that outcome Zach probably, Made us $150 on the pitfalls that

Pick 3 because if if the Lookouts wins on that one then

we look at a favorite favorite in the first and last legs and

then that middle like we did catch American man.

I thought American theorem this year and then I barely hit

somebody place but the middle like to we gave that one out as

you know put that one in as the favorite overdose was gonna get

a bunch of money because the Kentucky Derby connection

course. Doesn't Up, we end up with I

think it's American Revolution. Wins the middle leg of that, 3

goes off at 12:55. So even just a win bet on that,

horse would have been nice. So that was one on this show

where we really nailed it and so hopefully people played along.

I did get some, some nice notes on Twitter for people that had a

couple of weeks ago, hit the pick five playing in Maryland

for pretty cheap and then last week came back and hit in in New

Orleans. So that's great.

I do love that the lights in. New Orleans look like, Katrina's

happening during the race. Like you cannot see anything and

I do not know how God daily calls calls, calls races.

I have no idea. I mean, it's the workout lights

at. Churchill Downs.

Are brighter one replays. For those that I can get this

is, is it like 10:00 at night? Because, you know, it's It's

hard on the jockey soon because if yeah but now you gotta figure

figure out where you are in the stretch and all that stuff, ya

know for sure but it's, you know, I want to say this Lewis

sent me his ticket $20 on that page 275.

So yep. Yeah, you can win the Pick 3 and

and make real money off of it if you're betting for Value.

The cool thing we're going to talk about the late pick three

at Gulfstream today and their take out rate is even lower on

the pick three. It's only 20% of Gold Stream.

And so very, very playable frankly. 90% on a multi base

sequence, outside of a pig, 5 is a really playable number.

And so only doing this because I do have to put something in the

sheet and I'm sure people are going to be looking at Pegasus

card pretty hard. So, the practice that's a really

interesting race but I do want to go first to Oak.

Lawn talk about the Oaks prep and the Derby prep.

So we're going to be we're going to be prep season Heavy on this

show. If you were with us last week or

excuse me, two weeks ago, we're doing a Preakness road to the

Preakness show once a month until we get to the Preakness.

We're also obviously going to be covering the Oaks and Derby

paths as well, but all of our handicapping, you can find me

every Saturday in the sheet Green Sheet racing.com, if your

Louisville anywhere in your, every freakin liquor store in

the city, as is these things that are on so five bucks, nice

and easy. Go find your sheet there, get

all the handicappers information there compared to your notes,

try to get the best ticket together that you can Green

Sheet racing.com. Go find my stuff there as well.

Alright, so we do go out to Oakland Park.

And Martha Washington. Is this Saturday?

And I forgot to look up the Martha Washington Stakes

history, but I think some pretty important horses have won this

race. And so let me grab that real

quick. I apologize to a secret oath

little secret who finish top three in the Kentucky Oaks and

then take charge Brandi, who went on to win, was the leading

juvenile fillies in North America. 2014, Rachel Alexandra,

eight Bells, all won this race. So this Is not a oh I wonder if

this horse will boost. No, no this is a serious prep

for the olds like I mentioned 420 points toward the Oaks as

well. And you know this is a Not as

great, it's not great feel. Let's be real about what this is

not a great field. Olivia twist is in here at 221

and they've got to finding purpose.

That 625 defining purpose is not a 625 type of horse.

In a two hundred thousand dollar donation.

Just isn't lost. The Hoosier Philly at Churchill

Downs by six lengths, in the Goldenrod.

I'm gonna go ahead and say, there's no shame in that because

because who's your Filly is, was the best two-year-old I saw last

year. She just was and I was at the

Breeders Cup. So and then she did come down

she won the Year's End. I applied 450k at Oaklawn on New

Year's. Eve, last two year old race of

the Year there by five and a quarter lengths.

So she's a deserving 625 favorite.

The interesting part about the races here is there is a pic for

here that ends with the allowance before the southwest.

And so I'm not sure why they lumped this race in at the

beginning of the card, but I'm guessing it's because they

wanted it to be the end of the early pick five and then the

beginning of that pick for oh, Who knows, but I do think you

have to make a choice here. You're either grabbing a bunch

of horses or just go ahead and play play defining purpose as

your winter here. Olivia twist coming out of

Remington Park. Sometimes we do get some nice

horses out of Remington Park that ship to Arkansas.

Run really well. All she's ever done is run it.

Remington shipping in the jockey here, Torres for top, fits your

time, Fincher, a fine trainer that's not.

Don't want to come across as though?

I'm diminishing his work. Twenty three percent last year.

Overall importer 46. Race is a very legit sample

size. So, solid race.

This was done, nothing wrong. She's a get out front.

Stay out front type at one point.

She won Races by two and a half. She want a mile.

Wait raised 492 lifers, an allowance by 15 lakes in

November 15 likes. I kind of don't care who you're

running against what you win by 15 likes.

That's impressive. And that's coming back edition

of the track or any other if you're in a parking lot, I don't

care, right? Yeah.

It's so Uh-huh, she won the trapeze.

The trapeze is kind of a springboard toward this race.

Remington Park known for that. Mile course obviously the

rabbit, the springboard miles run there as well, and so comes

out of that race as well running without Lasix for the first

time. And this is one of those things

that is always interesting to me to watch is that if you want to

qualify from The Oaks for the, okay, you have to run without

Lasix in your qualifying races, so will she be okay without

Lasix? I think that's a good enough

reason to To pass on her as a major contender in this race

because it's just a condition. She hasn't run with to find a

purpose, has one without Lasix at Churchill Downs, at in a

restricted, made special way for just for Kentucky breads, but if

Kentucky breads is your restriction, that's a pretty

damn good restriction. And so she's probably going to

be fine did run in that in that golden rice.

Was she has to turn experience. Came down, Oakland Park, ran all

over the to turn Mi as well. Winning that one by open legs as

well. Take Charge briana's in this

race at 12:54 and she finished behind her by a full six likes.

And so to me because we to the finding a purpose and then you

move on kind of rice and then we go to the Southwest.

Well, how do you feel about the weather?

So like you're looking at 50 percent chance of rain to the

time of the race right now, right?

Yeah. So if you care about that, if

you think that that's going to be a big part of this race wet,

paint the one who gets fluffy and perhaps flying in for the

day gets Hobby and proud here. For Cox.

The two of them, by the way, are are a 14-2 at Oaklawn 36 percent

overall. Their last 25 together that

horse has won over the Flop at Indiana.

An amazing special way this because of this field.

Usually I would look at a brad Cox horse that broke.

It's made in Indiana and think a little bit less of it however

because this horse came back and ran an optional claimer Turfway

ran second could s that's halfway and people have to

remember In December at Turfway, that horse was running in a 72

thousand dollar race so it's not like back in the day when she

would have been running in a nickel climber for 10 times 10

K. No, that's not what happened.

This is a horse that ran for seventy two thousand dollars.

This is a good dolphin bread and and you know owned by good

dolphin. So obviously they think that

there's something here. It's a you know she's a daughter

A blame Street crime there that would be where you would go Zach

if you think that this is a horse they Trust on lots of

different surfaces, obviously ran a Kentucky down.

Downs. Then they put her on these

sloppy dirt at and Indiana. She wins as the favorite right?

Other many Esquivel and then she goes to Turfway under Crystal

and arrows from the best writers there and finished as a good

second against open company for the first time.

I, that's where I would lean if I if you think the wet track is

a problem, I'm going to go ahead and not worry about a torrential

downpour terrible situation at Oaklawn.

Plus I think they handle a wet. About as well as anyone in the

country because all they do is dirt track.

So I will keep defining purpose on top in that race.

The question, then we go to a standard is the southwest great

31 of the early grade threes, for three-year-olds this year,

interesting field seminar 50k, of course, my on a 16th, we're

going to turns over that dirt track at Oaklawn because they

don't have another track Arabian Night is obviously the Star

here. It'll be interesting to see if

that horse can repeat the form from Keeneland.

It is unusual that a bad for train even that wouldn't have no

starts in California before it gets to a derby prep, but here

we are, it is a different time apparently.

But to be fair, that was a one hundred and forty, nine thousand

dollar made special way the horse 186 Grand, just by showing

up Zach and I were there this was an easy gallop that horse

frankly over. So you have her lungs at about

21 and change as working at Santa Anita in the classic

baffert formation which is 6 and 5 for a long work.

Shouts horse will ship in and this is how I always know who

baffert series trainees are when they're younger horses.

I look for those 64, long workouts, this horse has won

over that. Send Anita dirt at 112.

Everything else? I mean under a hold, I mean on

these workouts if you watch them, I mean this horse is so

effortless. This is just looks like dad

looks like it'll come out. Just does we just so good?

I mean, just so so good. Powerful horse.

A 2.3 million dollar purchase if Mike is right.

And of course, ends up in the derby it'll be the most

expensive horse to ever win. The Derby of Mike is right.

Horse wins the Derby. I think this is a Don, people

are more loyal to baffert than they are to the derby.

Want to be on record with that. So today, it's not even a

question. If you're looking for another

horse to play here, Thunder comes in off a maiden special

weight, win at Oaklawn over mile by six and a half lengths over

kind of wet. Go not sloppy, but if we're a

little wet, if it's a little heavy, maybe that's a horse that

you use just worked at Oaklawn five days ago, 47 and three

bullet workout. Over belongs to the horses in

good shape. It is a candy McPeak.

It is a Daniel Cabrera two of them, very good at Oaklawn Park,

five for their last 15. Interesting thing about this

course is an internist GIF Medallion or oh mayor.

So bread for the two turns red for the dirt, don't they'll

question about any of that. So, 10 to 1 I was a little

surprised to see Zack but only because you know, Jason's Road

did win at the fairgrounds in the Gunrunner.

It's interesting to me that Brad ship that horse up here rather

than running with instant coffee, but obviously he didn't,

Run them against one another. I don't know if he thinks this

is the better of the horses. So instant coffees like his

second or third and Jason's road is running for 750 likes that

horse a little bit more, I'm not sure.

But when you run for West Point, I mean that's a, that's a

serious decline as he has. And so that's another horse

there at 421. Ran, a 90 speed figure to my own

the 16th at the fairgrounds, does that translate to Oakland

Park? I'm not sure, hated hated the

slop in the street sense of Churchill Downs.

It's hated it. I was there for that.

One did not like it, and I mean, like they drop kick the rider

off when he was loading because he hated the slop so much.

I mean, it just faded like, like crazy to Phil's won that race.

That's why everybody fell in love with to Phil's.

I, if it's wet run from Jason's broke and I mean, Sprint as fast

as you can away from Jason's road, but I think this is

another Arabian Night. Bob baffert special in this

race. So, play the sex.

Again I think the one some Thunder will absolutely be part

of the equation here. So if you need someone to fill

out your exact your Trifecta, look for the one son Thunder at

Oaklawn Park on Saturday in the southwest 20 points there or

zero points, depending on who your trainers.

And then the last version is this out and saying, I need to

this weekend and I haven't spent a ton of time on it and Zach,

it's pretty simple. Why I haven't done that and

lying to me, Louis why would that be Because they don't put

out their Mooring lines. And so it's hard for me to do

any prep work for Santa Anita for this show.

I think the morning lines are out by now.

I'm checking right now, I'm trying to be a good citizen to

make sure they are okay. So I will go to the Las

Virgenes, which is wraith, eighth grade to Milan and

Aether, that's the same Pasquale.

So that means Celeste version is raised to.

It is so that means there's going to be no horses in this

race if I saw this race. Online.

Like I think I did I'm a little concerned that Bob, baffert has

four of the five runners in this race.

No, it is not that race good. Okay.

Bob has one. One of the reasons that a sex.

Okay. So we have a six-horse field

here. Fayza is one of his she's

awesome. We watched her win, the Starlet

at La Salle, which is where Bob got obviously got his third

start keeps a bar in there, of course, in 1144 and change.

Over one mile and a sixteenth, we're going two miles here, it's

kind of interesting. I wish that indeed it would do

less of these mile runs because you start the Finish Line's very

close to the start of the turn there.

I wish they would run more to Milan to 16th, but I get it,

we're still running. I mean, they're technically

three year olds but none of these These horses were born,

three years ago, they were still, you know, in the womb at

this point phases, take the fight as you seek is the sick.

She's she's 925 for John sheriffs, and for Victor,

Espinoza, two of them, kind of lukewarm combination.

Obviously Ramon Vasquez writing for Bob baffert because of leg

and pressing out of town, two of them hitting together 27

percent, but you see coming out of that Desi Arnaz at at Del Mar

over seven, furlongs won that race.

This horse is going to turn for the second time.

Last time she did it was with Victor Espinoza in the saddle.

In the chandelier. That was a great to in October.

So she's had a little bit of time off here.

Stay away from Steve. John Sheriff's is not good all

the way off. So I would stay away from the

six in this race, I would lean more on fayza if you're trying

to beat phase. I do think you have a couple of

options here prior to the miles in this race for Doug O'Neill.

It's always hard with with Doug's numbers to figure out

what he's doing because you tried so many different things

that he's not afraid to lose races and so you know his if you

just look at the form of Doug O'Neill.

He's a really, really tough guy to handicapped, but it gets want

Hernandez in this race. And man, if I don't love me,

someone Hernandez and you haven't heard that on the show

that you're not paying attention.

And so I really trust him. There was trained had to move

out of the barn to lie and Remora because it was a

suspension, recently, leandro's, his top assistant and so ran

really well in that Starlet lost by head to Pride of 2 to phase

it in that race. If there if their heads apart

and one of the horses is 825, the once.

Three, two, one. But the three, two one.

I mean, it's just I mean, sorry. I mean, just just do that.

I also think because of where this is, you know, it's the

start of the pick for here. Yeah, starting to pick for here.

If you're playing the pick for and you want to be different,

you want to hit it for a price. That's the kind of horse you

got. He's got, he's part of the Nile,

the, for rather than face that everybody's going to use

Facebook and I get it, you know, you put on your 3648 Dollar, Bet

whatever it is. Louis, I don't want to waste it

with a Miss on the first leg, that's not the point.

The point is, if you put that on 36 Dollar Bet and Faisal wins,

it's going to pay 50 bucks. I hate to break it to everybody.

That is what it is, but 20 points for the Kentucky Oaks,

unless you are phaser. So just because of that, I'll be

rooting for Pride of the Nile just because she's actually

eligible for the race out there at Santa Anita fun day out

there. They do have the same Pasquale

as well running this weekend trying to keep up.

On the eclipse of words, I don't think they've technically there

we go. So the older adult male is

Flatline, congratulations to him shocking.

That all of us would win that that he would win that.

But did you go by the way? Zach recommendation.

Brittany are good. Good, good thing to check out

tonight, if you yeah. Now with that is the the older

female. I voted for both of those.

So, there you go. That's good.

So far so good for my votes. I mean, thank you know what I

mean? They should probably just let me

choose. Don't you agree?

I absolutely do agree. Cody's, where's the story?

There wins moment of the year. So congratulations to them.

I think we all agreed that that was going to be Josh ever when

he was on said that, that was who he was going to vote for.

I'm huge fan of mouth. That of course, because she was

my top pick when I did The Oaks rankings in the end the times.

And so that was awesome. I am so, so far.

I'm that batting a thousand. So you go, but let's go do three

Parks back. Just a reminder on some of these

bats, the takeout race at Santa Anita really approached her.

She's near the Gulf Stream a really approachable.

They're not dead sanity, I'm sorry.

Oh, they are about that. Louis 24% on that?

Yeah. What place robots are.

Seventeen percent 15 percent almost pick fives.

So if you wanted to bet just you know Race by race, just have

some fun, exact is our 20% once you go more than that the

trifecta, a super whatever. The rates go up.

So please exact is this weekend? I think, because of the field

sizes in some of the the feel qualities.

Frankly, you can have a chance to hit some pretty big.

The exact just Daily Doubles pictures pick for Saul 20% take

out. So you can play all of those

with a lot of confidence. What I like about that as a

player. You don't penalize you for

playing the picture because I love victories.

Everyone knows that there are one, two, three, four, five,

six, seven, graded, Stakes, go through this weekend, they call

it the championship meet for reason, we're going to talk

about the late pick three to keep this show under seven

hours. And so we'll go right away.

To Rafe 11 which is the Pegasus World Cup, Filly and mare Turf

Invitational the good Folks at Pepsi you're paying for that

one. So a half million dollars

indicating their fulfill these measures for and up.

They're going to Milan the 16th on the surf course.

If you know your Turf course, at Gulfstream Park, that means

they're starting just before the finish line and doing the two

turns and they will call it a day.

I'm scanning. The first you like to pick three

and then I have no idea what to do in the packages.

So this is obviously a skinny leg for me.

I think the morning line favorite that's most likely to

win in the late part of the card is in this race.

And her name is Shanti, Sarah for Iran to tease and Chad

Brown, two of them hitting together in a crappy 34% at

Gulfstream Park, Chad Brown only wins a 23% on the turf and a 24%

in graded Stakes. She did not run.

Great, last time out at Keeneland in the fall Harvest.

I think she was exhausted. She ran really well in the Jenny

Wiley before that the grade one, she ran really well.

And one the QE2 the grade one at Keeneland as well, over a

yielding go one at Belmont before that in the Oaks

invitation was a three-year-old and then so to me and then of

course you want to pucker up. I don't park at 21 before.

That doesn't run a lot. Brad, you know, try Brown

obviously choosing two spots with her.

I think she's the most likely winner here because I think it

actually the paces. To set up for her.

She's not a deep closer, she's more of a mid pack closer, and

you have the leak in this race until he was gonna go in front.

Stay out front. And I think you have to include

the link of the to hear who's coming off of a really excellent

2022. In which he won almost a million

dollars picked off the great three.

Cardinal at Churchill Downs, she picked off the ladies Turf grade

3 at Kentucky Downs. And before that, of course,

while the Beverly D or grade one at Churchill Downs, over the

turf course, whatever that thing was, it was much more of a truck

course, which you won in November.

But yeah. Great, three wins twice, and

then a grade 1 win, of course, at Churchill Downs.

So, I think the Lika I'm including her because I like to

play Zach in these races horses have different styles that are

the best at the Styles. It's not.

The leak is the best front runner in this race and I think

Charles he starts the best soccer this race.

If you wanted a deep closer, I think walking out because a fine

play here for Joel, Rosario Belmont won twice last year.

With, with all speed figures has run a Decent race at Gulfstream

Park in the honey Fox before. In a out of mile distance, just

ran out of time in that race. So if you wanted someone that's

going to get those teeth of a mile more in a raisin, baby

walking off because the threes the other course that you

include here. But I was getting I wouldn't

into here like I said because we're going to try to spread a

little bit when we get to the actual Pegasus race itself but

weighs 12, the second leg of the pick three here for us is the

mile and an eighth Turf Pegasus World Cup.

Invitational Turf, it is a great one, it's presented by Qatar

racing. They're going Elevates a little

bit longer here we do have a Philly or bear on the field, I

should say. But this is this for a million

bucks here. Great one is the big boy raised

here and unfortunately it's not a big boy field and so for that

reason, we're ready to go skinny again.

And I'm gonna look to the outside because I think we're

gonna have enough time for the race to develop for two horses

to do what they do. And this is where I'm going a

little bit upset minded because it's a horse that just ran a

Churchill, just use me at Gulfstream.

Look in the Fort Lauderdale integrates to And looked

freaking spectacular. Doing it in a stocking roll with

Joel, Rosario, and Kristoff. Come on, horse comes back.

That horse is the 12-city man 421 on the morning line, 15, of

those eight races last year to it at aqueduct in Statewide

races, but then came to came down to Florida and one against

open company. I love that kind of progression.

That's the kind of thing. I'm looking for City, man, to be

fair did when the forbidden apple last year.

Over a mile course at Saratoga. That's a serious Turf race as

well. That's a horse that can really

run. I love Joel Rosario in this

spot. So I think the horse has a real

shot in this one. And then I went to the 10 Ivar

and this is a little bit of a special way to put this Ivar's,

a horse. I've seen a lot, so I like him,

but I think he's 5224 reason, Polo was having an unbelievable

start to 2023 had a great 2022. This horse is a serious, serious

horse. Runs in the very best races, all

the great ones BC Mi was right there at you see, fourth place

the horse lost by a length, to Modern games, and I think modern

games was Far and Away the best Air Force in North America last

year, having just absolutely the best.

And then, you know, comes back are before that random.

The Turk Mi ran behind Annapolis was a greater force last year,

lost a modern games, obviously up in Oak.

Lawn in second place, we saw the horse at Indiana in the shoe

store Mi and Awfully off their a perfect spot for that horse to

come. Back course, there's something

like six seven - months off, came back, Raymond that race

ship them up. The Woodlawn for that race runs

all over and always runs well so to me Ivar's an include because

the horse runs essentially fifth sixth in the race and then it

closes at the end but has good early pace of it needs to city,

man. On the other hand, is the

balance Runners going to be a stalker type.

So I think the best soccer in the best closer in the race are

the 12 and the 10. So I'm going to go skinnier if

you want a long shot. In this race.

First off the claim, interestingly it's not a claim I

should say, but first off, the barn shift to saffy, just of jr.

Is Masterpiece. The Chilean bread, Tyler gas

gets the right here, didn't show up.

Totally in the Breeders Cup Turf.

I don't hold that against horses when they lose against the very

best horses in the world, right? As far as North American Racers

are before that though. Randy, California ran really

well. One the Ed Reedy and then after

that rate of the Del Mar handicapped and And finished

second by a head. And so Masterpiece on the west

coast really, really affected kids.

Some of that West Coast Turf form, translate to the east

coast, it doesn't always but I think that there's a chance with

Masterpiece that he does pick up Tyler.

If people don't know before Tyler's moved to Churchill and

other places, he was the guy at Gulfstream and I mean

year-round, he was the guy at Gulfstream and I remember going

down there during the summer, my wife had to go to a convention

and I remember watching, Horses, that should be 8 and 10 to 1.

Get bet 2625 because title was on the horses.

And so I spent the day betting against Tyler but what's it was

out of respect frankly because he was hobby horses and dinner

are going to win but he really knows the course.

And so I really trust him down their horses 343 at the

distance. So Masterpiece would be a long

shot play for me, the 11 in this race because I do think you're

going to get 10 12 to 1, I do. And so sappy is not known for

his his Turf racing 21 percent overall only 17% on the turf.

But this is to me more. He got a horse from McCarthy

Barn. It is trying in this race.

If you want a long shot, use the 11 here.

I'm going to play some kind of some kind of exotic with the 12

of the 10 and then the 11 in the second and third spots that kind

of thing when we get to Saturday and then finally the the PSR is

you sauce. The race of the day the three

billion dollar Pegasus World Cup Invitational grade, 1 mile and

an eighth over that dirt course. If you were wondering how long

the dirt course is at Pat cultural park, it's a mile and

an eighth. So this is one turn start to

finish at the Finish Line. Zack, I the best way to put

this, this the skilled is This feels confusing.

Because if you look at it and you just try to be objective if

you took the names off the horses, how about that?

And, by the way, I should figure out a way to do that.

Because I think if you took CyberKnife name off CyberKnife

because I thought about him in the three-year-old male

category, and he looks, for example, it just look at stats.

He's the best horse here. Yes.

But I'm gonna guess, but he gets her in but he granted us

three-year-olds a whole year, right?

You're not doing that here and in like I did in race although

he is not nobody's time like I did in verse 11.

I'm gonna look at a horse that's been good at Gulfstream Park and

a jockey that knows Gulfstream Park and a trainer that knows

Gulfstream Park. San Pedro Sula.

Junior has three runners in this race and I don't know if we

still have the hashtag but why de Barros Trace.

It is always no, no, I always, it's always played a Barrio

season. However, I've got with a

difference to a fee. On top.

I'm going with the seven Skippy, Longstocking of all freaking

things, winner of the Harlan handy.

Last time. Out grade 3 at Gulfstream, my

little 64 going to Mile and an eighth here.

The horse pulled away at the end, stalking position beat

simplification in that race was so a good field.

It was 43 and up. So older horses were We're

running. Random that Pennsylvania Derby.

Nowhere to be found one. The West Virginia Derby last

year, ran the Belmont ran third in the Belmont of people don't

remember, did run in the Preakness.

Ran in the wood Memorial before. That's it was on the New York

path of for things to me. This was always, this is always

Savvy. Second Horse by the way because

one of our it was always his first horse that performance

last time out. I can't get it out of my head

was so good. Beat older horses beats.

I mean Outpaced simplification simply put as simplifications of

fine. Fine, gold.

Okay. Here's where I get weird.

I've got art collector in the second spot and I'm this is

where this is where this race is.

So interesting to me, Zack is I think he.

And by the way, I love, I love the move to Junior Alvarado here

and I'm sure a lot of people are like, wait a minute.

He had Louis sighs, I get it. I'm not that's not what I'm

doing right now. Horse was the Charlestown

classic for the second straight Year.

Great to comes back. Lucas Luke's classic at

Churchill Downs. Nowhere to be found.

They give them some time off. Robot comes off of the playoff.

This kind of layoffs, by the way at 22%.

This is what he does. The bill Mont, this is how good

the guy. Is it Place versus 27% greatest

days? We're getting 10 to 1 on this

horse. We're getting ten to one on a

horse. That what a great to last year,

ran in the staudte cup. I mean one the a lead are that

at Saratoga, that's what we're doing now.

I'm getting it. Are we doing that?

That's what we're doing. Great.

Okay, I'll take it. Give me give me the son of

bernardini the six year old horse.

This might be his last race. I'm not sure.

But give me that horse. That's what I'm going to do

here. Give me him in the second spot,

ten to one, and then I'm going with the baffert.

I'm sorry. I mean, at some point, like he

might have a massive weekend if I don't include the bathroom

who, by the way is picking up Iran Ortiz.

I read jumped off another horse in this race to to ride the

funding. It's not an accident.

The funded, of course, winning the name of the Native diver

last timeout by 4 and 3/4 length at Del Mar over a mile and an

eighth. Before that one, the awesome.

Again, another great. One at a mile and an eighth over

Country Grammar who I thought was one of the best horses on

the west coast last year. Yeah.

The funded out at the end of the year was Rollin, Bob gives his

horse a little bit of time off 29%.

When he does that 38% his horses.

Come back from winning their last race to win again.

I just Second Chances. What you're saying?

That's a six to one type horse in this race.

I disagree, I think to fund it goes off at like three, two one.

But a cool thing that we usually don't see with baffled.

By the way, this is a five year old gelding so he can't go to

the breeding shed. We're going to see him for a

minute and that's fun because usually with baffert we don't

get older dirt males because they're off to the breeding

shed, right hip? So we're going to get the

funding for a little bit. He's going to run back in the

awesome again. He's got to run.

Pat O'Brien again, he's going to run, you know, in the San Diego

handicap, we're going to see that horse.

Again, that's a cool thing, that's a good thing for

California racing in. A weird way that a horse is

gilded, it is what it is. And then I'll be honest in the

in the in the last one, I do have CyberKnife because if he

runs his race, I think he wins I do.

I don't think white a Barrio wins but I think he hits the

board. Attend to one.

So I think some kind of combination.

No. I think that horses.

He's a great one. Winter period in a conversation.

No, no, I get it. He lost, he in the slop at

Aqueduct lost the cigar Mi integrate One Last Time on

behalf of like yeah, that's a real horse.

That's a serious horsepower. That's a 3 and upgrade one at

the end of the year, too, by the way.

And he lost the Mind Control. Who's a freaking I mean, I'm a

monster in New York, right? And so, no, I get it.

We're the show, it's kinky, or more, get whatever.

But like, yeah, suck it. In your right people.

It's not going in. You damn, right.

I did. It's 51 minute.

Mark, I got to kick your more reference.

I get it but that horse is way more through the king.

He wrote for sure. So so I went seven, six, five,

ten in the last leg. If you play what we just talked

about the two dollar base picks, are you 32 bucks?

and I think if you hit an art collector at the end of that

thing, We're talking for five hundred dollars, something like

that, until I take it. So that's where I'm at.

What do you think? Zach think it's racing season

again, you know, I don't want needless besmirching on the

Derby but haven't been to lots of other races, right?

And not actually seen races. Yet.

But planning to at Turf way, they're going to Grand at

Laurel, I have seen races like it's getting better.

Horse racing is getting so much better at these other places and

internet betting has allowed these smaller courses that have

big money along the way, but don't get the TV time to be

obvious to regular people like, hey, you could have a nice day

at Laurel or turf. Or Indiana Grandeur, you know,

down along the way, you could go down to New Orleans, watch some

races and hang out in the French Quarter, right?

Like after the races like this, I'm really looking forward to

this year and especially next year because I think you know,

Churchill's done a really good job of self-promoting and

promoting for the sport and I think with Derby 150 the lead up

to that. I think I'm hoping That there's

an explosion for horse racing. That Churchill does it, right?

They and NBC and other partners. Sure.

Yeah. And we drive home that.

Hey, this is this is what it used to be.

Again, which is every man's wedding sport.

Whereas, like you startled, you know, there are no to do

anything else. By the way for had that one

again. So again people what a what a

what a waste of time. For these people to not, just

take my advice, Wonder Wheel does when two year old Filly?

So I was wrong on that one. Louis the first one, ever voted

removed from the turf right now I wouldn't be the first or trust

me the whole thing but but now let's get out of here man.

Oh, good show, lots of fun stuff.

Super excited to keep going with Derby, personal that again, all

of my stuff available at greasy racing green shirt racing.com.

Go pick up the sheet in the store or grab it online.

Wherever you are, you can go find it there as well.

Zack, I appreciate you, my friend.

You to give me a Clank play. Some music man to do is one

competition for creating a. doors.
