Alright, welcome to another edition of the horse-racing

happy hour. What was that didn't work out?

So well Louise, try and do a little clink with the glasses.

Knock. Not so strong man.

Louis big. Big day today, in Kentucky we

have legalized Sports gambling company coming to Kentucky by

two to one margin. I mean about that.

I mean when it's never even really gotten close before and

it kind of crushed it this time through, I don't know if it's

the like just the reality of all this money that's leaving the

state or you know, that finally did it or what but legal a

sports gambling. I will say we had huge responses

on our morning show. Yeah.

On the ESPN affiliate here. It's so excuse me, if that was

any indication at all of how people felt then, I am not

stunned that it got through because I think a lot of people

in this area, went ahead and made sure that they Made their

voices, heard because I heard over and over during the Senate

speeches. I'm not in favor of this, but I

kept hearing from my constituents, dot dot, the dot.

And so Kudos, man. I mean, that's that's the best

every single state around his hat.

It so, like, at the end of the day, like, if you wanted to go

gamble, you were as probably short drive away from doing it.

And we were hearing the stories about people just crossing over

the bridge. Long enough to get in Indiana

and make their beds and then coming right back and he had

found the loopholes of like where you could park in In

Kentucky and it hit the Indiana singer.

Yeah. That was the ever tell you that

story about like I was in San Diego and we were kind of lost

and we were still in United States, but then my phone said,

welcome to Mexico. Yeah.

It was like, oh, I was, you know?

Yeah. Yeah.

It's not good. Not good at all.

Okay? So, and this might be the

flimsiest addition to the store Flem horse racing.

Happy hour. I'm under the weather, your you

were coughing, a little bit. And yeah, are you feeling good?

I'm good man. Okay, very good.

And now we got our man at David lavage.

Look at We gotta love. That was awesome by the way.

I'm not ready at all Davis. I gave its on his phone.

You know? Just like, you know, checking

out his tender. All that kind of stuff.

No, I'm here in Miami. I am.

I'm in Miami. So, if I was ever going to get

one of those in turn it on and female.

I agree. That's a, yeah, that's a good.

That's a good spot, right? Yeah, I will bring him on early

because David was actually at the Jeffrey, be Stakes.

So we'll get his live impression of what happened with to Phil's

here in just a little bit. We're going to talk about the

Jeffrey, we stakes in Louisiana Derby, and then we'll spend the

rest of the show, just kind of updating where we are on the

Derby. The Derby standings heading into

big action. This week with the Florida

Derby, which is one of my favorites and the Arkansas

Derby. So, which they two races by the

way, which are very good predictors of, who can win the

Kentucky Derby historically. Yeah, absolutely.

It's a cool weekend this. Although we haven't had an

Arkansas winner since Federal, right?

Yeah. It's interesting to you because

I feel like they keep Messing with the timing of the Arkansas

Derby. Like sometimes it's the last one

and now it's kind of like the it's in that second weekend.

So they just keep on messing with it because they extended

the racing here in Oak Lawn. Yeah.

So there's there's another I think I know what David another

month still a little clearer closing days Derby Day.

Yeah. Right wow.

The extended a way out so they added earlier races to so really

simply and they'll get the blue grass Stakes at the beginning of

the Keeneland season. I just found out.

I'm going to Keeneland on the 28th of April.

Okay. Yeah.

It's the last day. Yeah.

Summer. You going somewhere.

Some lenders, you know, doing like the thing out there and

they're inviting all their realtor connections.

That kind of thing was that there's no bad day, Keeneland.

There's no bad thing. Absolutely, that's right.

That's right. All right, well Zack, Zack.

He's got a cute up amigo. Let's look at two, Phil's

victory in the Jeffrey mistakes. Again, there goes Jay.

Love it to Phil's movie with the favorite as they race around the

turn. 3/4 1, 11 and 4. And here they come to the top of

the home stretch in a crate. Three Jeff Ruby strakes and up

to the outside to films sweeping up and after the lead major

dude, from between horses that's all for Funtastic, again one

Furlong to go and the son of Hearts fun to build his opening

up here. What a performance of them

passion, run by two films whose drawing away with authority.

Two bills. Brilliant.

Well to fills with a dominating performance right there.

David, what was it like seeing that love?

Ya know, I thought it looked really impressive, he was

running on the dirt a couple times before that at the

fairgrounds obviously and then it was kind of smart by the

connections because one of the seven hundred thousand dollar

race, they called an easier Bunch they dominated and I would

priest pretty easy way I know the horse behind him was mostly

a turd Force Major dude but he was good on dirt and his two

races before. So So, I don't think he's just

some, I don't want to say Rich strike because he was only

synthetic or see, obviously won the Derby.

But a lot of these horses are usually, just synthetic horses

coming into the race. This horse actually had some

dirt form against good horses and Louisiana.

So, you know, I thought it was a good stepping stone to the

derby. I'm sure you'll be around the

2025 one range, maybe a little higher but could be some good

value in a try, super maybe? Yeah, that sounds right actually

and I think with, with the, the Turfway route David, that you

mentioned, he's different in that you Exactly what you meant.

She's not like major dude, right behind him.

Who's clearly a Turf horse? Yeah, it's not like the other

horses that like, congruent who was in this race, who is clearly

a synthetic horse, right? And so there's a bit of a

difference here that, you know, maybe he could figure back out

on dirt and get to that point where, you know, especially if

he gets anything, he's got 100 points, ship him to church, I'll

let him get used to the surface you know tracks open go, go

figure it out. Well you got to Phil's, I mean

again as one a great great three already and the two races and

like David mentioned in Louisiana, then they'll come for

the real star came in second to Lecompton third in the Risen

star. So I mean yeah, I mean I think

they were looking for their best route.

Just to go get those extra points that they need to get in

the race and they got that hundred points.

They're, I mean, they're in. Yeah.

And he ran the but he probably did run the one of the best

races in the Risen star. He made that first move into

that kind of hot pace and then the cocks horse that race kind

of fell apart at the end. So he did run well in that race

was kind of a better than it looks third in my opinion.

All right, so I mean that was that lost two angels of Empire

which which Louis picked and he'll tell you all the time he's

big he was 20 21. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah.

Y'all better Saturday though because it'll be about four to

one. Yeah, I think it's different.

I got him at 17 to 1 when he broke.

Yeah. All right.

So the other big win and then so we went from the horse, I was

kind of trying to find his path. Found this path to the derby

brain. Well, you know, got there

through Jeffrey mistakes and now we got a new shooter who, of

course, out of the pleasure Barn, we need another pleasure

horse in here in Louisiana Derby.

So let's take a look here. It's to go, it's Kings Barnes.

Jason has brought. Now launching this bid, Kayo

Stroh is a close third, but Dan Eaton and forth.

Shoppers Revenge single ruler as looking to gain on the floor

outside, as they straightaway is.

Instant coffee has the black cap.

In the meantime, it's still Kings Barnes.

Gives barge one for a long to go and Kings Barnes looking to

finish them off. In the Louisiana Derby that

James Barnes has opened up five flights.

Now, on disarm, who's King s Dreamchasers.

Roach, a Revenge instant coffee is next But it's Kings bars and

Flavia Pratt jigs Barnes undefeated 343, Kings Barnes,

one bite. All right, thanks Timmy.

See, sports for that replay there and Kings.

Barnes looking impressive is undefeated, we gotta maybe, you

know, we got a, I justify a like, and we got a Nyquist like

maybe in this Vin the server, who knows.

Well, what we talked about last week, I had him on top and the

reason I did was because I trusted the Pletcher Continuum

essentially, one term mile to break the maiden goes to turns

at Tampa against, you know, against winners, easy go.

And then he stretches out the breeding all made sense for this

and so the amount of three sixteenth, you know, David I the

only thing you could knock on this is this wasn't a fast race

of course but the distance didn't bother him and he wasn't

actually slowing down at the end of that race.

No. And that's why I like him going

into the races because of the pace scenario and obviously it's

not going to be the same Pace scenario in the derby that he

got his name. Be able to walk on the lead, but

he was He did said sold fractions.

I think he's 49 for that, but he was kind of going away at the

end and that was only his third start.

His, you know, he's ran three times run three times.

His actually, as hardest race. I think was his Maiden race when

he was in stuck in behind horses.

So he's shown the ability to sitting behind horses and then

he obviously took a class. But you know, I don't I don't

know what price will be in the derby.

Probably 15 to 1 range because he's 3 for 3.

But I don't think it's a horse that he it's going to be weird

with it. I don't know how people are

going to bet him because I've seen a lot of people say, oh,

you know, you Get the distance. You look good.

And then oh yeah, easy trip. So I don't know.

He's kind of a I think he's a wild card so we didn't really

learn anything about him. I feel like in that reason I

feel like we knock horses sometimes when they come into

the derby with only four starts like just from experience

Factor, you know, when it comes that to like she's now you're

going to handle a 20 horse filled with 180,000 people

yelling at you. It's just it'll be interesting.

There's a lot a lot of unknown variables him but he could fire

mean. Would anybody be shocked if he

hit the board? No, absolutely not.

Alright. Specially flavian.

Stays aboard, right? Yeah, no question.

And I would think flavian would stay aboard.

And let's go. Rocket Ride.

Run some crazy race next weekend at Santa Anita and the same you

Derby. I think that's his only other

option. He wouldn't ride Angel vampire,

if you want to somehow this week in the Arkansas Derby.

But I think that's super, I would stay on it for go.

Rocket Ride and run huge. Yeah, we were, and we were kind

of talked about it. All fair to kind of go to, you

know, our next piece, you know. Forte's obviously just heads and

tails above this entire class right now and we'll talk more

about Forte here in a little bit.

When we, when we get to the Florida Derby, Practical move,

probably second for everybody right now.

I would agree with that. I was on a when I was talking to

Ed derosier today, we're talking about the horses and all the,

you know, the second row, I think, whoever wins the Santa.

Anita Derby will be the second choice because I feel like that

figure. I'll just come up big, whether

it's practical move or, I mean, maybe maybe the Bluegrass, but

the way tappet rice ran last time.

Figure wise, I felt like he was kind of the Steamers now, people

are a little worried about him, so unless he runs a huge race in

the Bluegrass, I think it practical Of went to his second

choice in the derby. And then it would you go you had

the only other horse that can still win me over.

That's outside of that first. Like three four five horses if

rocket can puts it together in the rebel.

Or they are slider. He's like if you can put

together the Arkansas Derby, I think I'm going to take him a

little seriously, just because Bill mots been winning big races

and I really like Junior albarado so he would be right on

the outside for me. Do you take anything from the

the Japanese horses shipping in? Yeah, we're going to get.

Yeah, I don't, I don't really ever trust the you a derby

triplet. There is a, there is a Japanese

horse shipment at the Santa Anita Derby.

I saw Yeah, that's different. Yeah, that feels

I can't do it yet. I like that.

By the way, a lot. Yeah, because we're watching

these Japanese horses do really well.

We talked about salt I got your up and whatever else.

And so like getting them on the dirt.

In the United States, for three-year-old races is

exciting, it's great. Yeah it is.

Did I see that Jason's Road? Who finished third in Louisiana

Derby is already on the backside of Churchill Downs?

Yes, yeah. There you go.

So we got horses already arrived ready to go and get those

points, baby. Let's go.

We're in the race. He was running.

He's confirmed now. Yeah, I mean, I again, why those

people and, of course, that's another Brad Cox horse.

But, you know, so half the field, be pleasure and Cox

horses had this point. Yeah, David do you?

I know we're not going to talk explicitly with you about the

Arkansas Derby but a horse like reincarnate.

Is he someone that can still win when you over as a contender

with a good performance? I mean he could win me over but

I'm not going to bet him on Saturday because everybody's

gonna bet him off his bad break trip and he's going to be over

bet. But I mean if he definitely, if

he broke and ran a good race and won the race with a good figure,

I think he's definitely a horse to throw back in the mix, but

he's not a horse. I would bet on Saturday at a

price using be an underlay. Red Route One.

Another horse I could win you over Barbara fee just reminds me

of Barbara. I just feel like a horse I'm

actually with you and I like rocket.

Can I have them on my dirt message to the team and so I've

been following him and he just keeps going up and up, he was

home. That's for Forte.

But this is his third race has the form cycle and she's like a

horse. It's improving with every start.

Yeah, Frankie Canton runs like a 94 95 this weekend.

I think he's going to be one to watch and they for sure.

He would be in the. Yeah, he would be a horse.

Probably 10, 12 all the one kind of horse.

Yeah, what do you think? that point lines going to be at

the bottom to get in like, Feels like it could be 40.

Well, it's Pandora's is actually coming this year.

It's frightening and I took spot 2030 taken, right?

I'm gonna go 30. 38 points 38 points well, is it possible for

someone to have 30 points? I don't think so.

But well yeah, there's horses with 32 33 and 34, I know.

Yeah. But what is so what's the point

in the hundred points? Race is Goddard 40, 20 and 10?

Yeah. So you'd have 30 40 to 140.

Ten and five. I can't.

Okay, well, your wish. My smarts not.

Right, right, 50 2010. I think.

Okay. Third gets 20, I'm pretty sure.

So, there we go. There we go.

See, who will see? What that?

Where that line is usually in the mid-30s.

Oh, so, and right now, that that's kind of holding true

before we get to Gulf Stream in the races that you're going to

be at. Have you looked at the fantasy?

Do you have someone that you like in there?

I'm not gonna I haven't really looked at the race as a whole,

but I'm interested to see what wet paint does on a track.

That's not wet. So I want to see what she can do

on a race with no moisture and I don't think it's supposed to

rain it Oaklawn. I know it rains, it Oakland like

three out of four days, every single ways it's going to rain

on Friday. So I just I don't know if like

there will be a little bit of moisture in the track but it's

not going to be like what you've talked, well you mentioned like

it's not gonna be sloppy, it's not going to be wet faster.

Yeah, I just glanced at it. I didn't look like anybody in

there was special but a horse like wet paint, who's only

really one. One on a wet track as a horse

that could be a huge underlay in the yolks.

So, I mean, where is it? Where R is?

Where is everybody on the Oaks field right now?

I mean, who don't really not really coming through like we

thought she would, you know, didn't look as spectacular.

Of course, none of those horses really fired in that in the

Louisiana, over the weekend. I like my pain, you're so wet,

paint your horse, I still like her.

Yeah. And and frankly David, you know,

you talked about it raining in Oakland all the time, man.

It rains it rains half the time of the old Yeah, you don't

forget a wet track for Oaks man. She might be a big play.

Yeah, I know, I wasn't saying, I didn't like her.

I just want to see her. Let's see.

A replicator on a fast track for someone and, you know, and

Louisiana race on the fairgrounds Oaks, Norman

Cassie's horse ran a big race South on.

She's now 242 this year, so she's probably horse.

And then I think the the Ashwin is going to be the big race.

It's got Wonder Wheel, it's got the punch bowl, Brad, Cox horse,

and then it has Julia shining. So that race is probably going

to be the outside the country chance to this.

And Dorothy Vader. Runs a huge race and you fall in

love. Oh absolutely.

That's gonna she's tough man. There's a couple at that goes

free park Oaks which we're going to talk about it's not a huge

field but it is, it's fun. I mean they're real.

Yeah, it's wide open. Well, let's go ahead and get out

to the Gulf Stream. Let's talk about the races out

there. This is the Green Sheet racing

portion of the show where we are going to go through and break

talk about all the races. Coming up this weekend.

We're going to start. The race five and again, go to

Green Sheet racing.com, to get your green sheet and we're going

to sequence this weekend is a culture.

It is okay, there you go. So we're gonna start the

Pan-American, Stakes 200,000 are a smile and a half.

Louise, favorite Turf race, he loves the mountain, the route

races on the on the turf. Let me hide.

You like here? Where did you go?

I told him we were going to I'm sorry.

I told him we were going to talk Orchid?

No, we can talk about this, right?

So okay, okay actually do like a horse in this race.

So we if you want to talk I'm just following the show sheet.

That's all I'm saying. You know, well, this rates in

there though, if you want. I'm yeah, go ahead, man.

I so the three horse in here. Masterpiece is probably going to

be the favorite. I think he's like, 725 on the

line, so I'm guessing you'll be the favorite.

He's, he's a horse that likes distance, he guess he's getting

a little class relief in here, life relief in here.

But I, I was looking at the one horse in here, wicked fast, he's

been drawing outside and post 11 to back out of In the last time

he was 11 out of 12 and now he draws the rail and he actually

ran pretty well in those two races.

And it looks like this race which is the third race as

tertiary came up a little lighter than the first two did.

So if masterpieces in the six, two five seven to five range and

wicked fast. As in the 4 to 1 range.

I think we could fast as a good value and this race finally

getting a much better post and what he's gotten.

Yeah, I agree. I think he tried to beat him,

frankly. I don't think, I don't think

that's a good number at all. Especially coming off the

layoffs. It's just not something that.

You know, he's training well but I mean that, that throwing the

blinkers on, I mean, I think they think that this horse isn't

totally, right? Which is interesting to

obviously it's a fee in Florida so he's got these always kind of

chance. But yeah, I would look somewhere

else too. I think therapists got a real

shot here, coming off the synthetic and I think a bond is

just one of those horses that wins 25% of his races and these

are wild card in here. He's right here and terrible in

his last race. He's also alone speed.

Straight. So, I and they keep trying and

it's they're not like dropping and they keep running them in

these races. So I feel like just a wild card

in. I'm not a huge fan of it at this

point, but if you're wired the field, I wouldn't be surprised.

Yeah, Masterpiece being that horse that really only got one

win last year in the Eddie read great steaks out of Delmar and

didn't look great in the Breeders Cup.

So you know this is still a list of steaks it's a big drop down

class but I I agree with you guys.

Sometimes horses just aren't bred to win, you know, so no not

even machine but he's only got one win in the last two years.

Well as one of his last six, that kind of thing, that's if

we're going to do that then give me five to one on a horse, like

a bond. Yeah.

All right, we're good. Let's go to the ghost.

Zapper my on a 16th on the dirt 150,000 are racist for four

year, olds and up David who did you like in this race.

So there's a horse coming back in off of layoffs in this race

that has kind of always been hyped up and that's the 5 horse,

first Captain, he obviously has Pedigree cost a lot of money.

So I think he I think I glanced at the line, I think he was 9 to

5 on the line. So if he's anywhere in that

range, she's another horse like Masterpiece and I'm just I'm not

super interested in two short price and there's not a lot of

options in this race is not the best grade 3 in the world.

So I was going through and I kept looking through all the

horses and I landed on simplification just for the sole

fact. I feel like he's going to go to

the lead in this race. They haven't really there's no

speed in here is best races have been on the lead.

Rosario wrote them. Last time out, I was going a

mile against the two best one turn horse Rate.

One turn horses at the track and Orson charge.

It fast pace is stretching out to turns.

I think he's they're going to try to send him in here so mol

implication. Yeah I'm gonna try the other

horse off the layoffs here, I'm gonna try O'Connor and this

spot, the four horse or Safi, and for irad didn't show up in

that Pegasus World Cup. So they gave him a little bit of

time off. Saffy really good off the

layoffs and frankly, sugar is not good off the layoffs, so I

don't trust him with first Captain.

Maybe This is a race to get another race here.

David Did run them in grade 2, s and grade ones last year.

And so, you know, at Belmont at Saratoga at Keeneland.

So maybe this is a spot for, you know, first Captain to get his

legs back under him and then go run, you know, either a church

or something like that but I actually if you wanted to get

aggressive, I would, I would single O'Connor in this book.

Yeah, I have him. I have him in the next, you

know, what's interesting about him, he ran that huge race first

time out in America on Lasix. But then I guess in the Harlan's

holiday, if you believe that. At Beyer speed figure had such a

weird racing such a high figure. I don't think like pioneer.

Midi is, okay, you ran second and that race.

He's been okay, since then, I know Skippy Longstockings one

the Challenger attempt I think couple weeks ago.

So if you trust those two figures and is for if you trust

that figure without Lasix I think you can play him but it's

just Savvy. Scared with that Lasix.

It's number sure. If he without Lasix I mean looks

like we got a lot of wild cards in this card already.

Just you know, Lots of this flawed because simplification

hasn't won since the founder of Youth.

That's right. Every year project to be just

looks tired. If you look at his numbers.

So yeah, it's interesting. Yeah, interesting.

Okay, send them. Yeah.

Well I think you're right. I do.

I'm not I'm not questioning the The Strand.

Correct. I just I wonder if he's got the

legs but if you're playing the Exotics you could probably

settle with those three horses and feel pretty confident that

you're gonna be okay. Um man I don't okay so that's an

interesting comment because if we're talking about that, Go to

the other saffy. Then 12 volt, man, with Edgar's

ayahs. Who's a local guy there, 24%,

together, the 7 horse in this race.

Son Of Violence. Draw a line through the Hooper

and then otherwise his numbers, you know, he's an every other

type, frankly, if you're a liar or he's going to back again, all

five of Windsor Gulf Stream. Yeah he's fine for ten lifetimes

Gulf streams running 92 speed figure there, five or ten on,

you know, on softer. I mean like that would be my

long shot play here for trying to fill out an exotic or

something like. Okay.

All right, I like it. Let's go back on the turf for

another mile and a half race on the trip.

This was a Phillies and mirrors, four year olds and up, this is

the Orchid, 150,000 our race Louis, who did you like in this

one? I went long shot here because

this is another race where I don't love the shorter price

horses, I'm going to get it. I'm gonna grab a horse coming

off. The synthetic for Kelsey dinner

who's 0 for his last 19 coming off with a synthetic to hit the

board here in viburnum the one with Luis saez.

I love the move to Luis saez here.

Actually, if you look at the time, the horse ran, last time

out on the synthetic, 227 and change is only a second slower

than this year's version of The Blob, prevent a and so if that

horse can keep up that kind of speed, and I think there's

David, I don't know if you agree with me but I don't know who's

going to go to the front in this race and I think on there, he'll

hear that. That horse, may inherit the lead

in, just everyone's going to run at it and there's just nowhere

to go. This horse has good late kick.

I have no idea who's going to lead in this race.

Thank you. I would maybe so When I was

looking through this race, may be transient.

I was. Yeah, I wasn't I wasn't really a

fan of any of the horses. Like, personal best is 64.

It's got a perfect trip. Last time against I wouldn't say

weaker, but transients in this race and I'm not really a big

fan of those two. So I kept looking at this race.

Amazing Grace is of horse. That's first time in America

for. Come on from Germany.

She was one of great to over there.

She's great one place, she lost the rebels romance.

Who is that? The if you want?

Yep, breeders, he wants brezza. So, I mean, he only lost to that

showing lots that are First by Three Links.

So I think she's 522 on the line.

When I don't, I didn't write it down, but I think I remember

seeing that so horse, I can mazing Grace who's been in

Europe, but if you look at her short chart comments, Led Led

kept on one going away lead. So I don't know how much speech

will have an America, but a horse like that.

First time in America, they might just say there's no place

in this race. Let's go pick it up.

And then I was a little interested as a long shot in

here, was the number 2 horse Miss Yearwood free.

And well last time I was a mile tall.

I mean it's just almost a prep race, but if you look at her two

races before that our race before that and the Jockey Club

Oaks Invitational at Aqueduct, she was her best race of her

career as a marathon Turf race. So I think she offers good value

underneath the eye. She dominated the first time.

She ran on turf was at Ellis Park.

I remember this race last summer.

Yeah. She loved it, we're all good.

Last time was a prep. I feel like so now he's coming

back to Ryder. I think it's like one of his

only mounts to the day. So looks like a horse is kind of

of live at a price easily, though.

The widest I win in any part of my ticket was insane.

You got to tend to ones there with legit that that, you know,

perform well at the longer distances.

I mean, that's always the question here, right?

So that's good stuff right there.

All right. So, race 9, which is the sir

Shackleton steak, seven furlongs for go to, go to the old, we're

gonna go the okay, to the greatest extent.

Yeah, I'm sorry. All right, we're gonna go to the

gulf to actually on the surface. Yeah, you know, Gulf Stream.

Coaxed 250,000 our race Mama 16th on the dirt.

We kind of mentioned it a little bit earlier.

You know we could see a big run out here Outdoors Vader which of

course I'm all about with my Star Wars references.

I love those and she ran well last time so it's north Vader.

The pick Louis or is since you're the Philly master I think

she's she's got a chance here. I'm personally not going to lean

on Her. And here I'm only using two

horses. I've got atomically actually on

top here for Jose Ortiz. Type ledger.

So I'm taking the other Pletcher on top in this one.

If you look at her form, they shorter up to running that

forward. Gal she wants to go to turns,

right? So they take her up for that

Filly, juvenile Turf, I think they use the forward.

Gal, just to get her legs back under her before.

That wins a four thousand dollar listed Stakes for Florida,

breads at Excuse me, at Gulfstream Park going away

before they break, tsar-maiden doing the same, you know, going

seven, furlongs. I think she really wants to get

back to going to turns here. I think she's going to like the

mile and a sixteenth. So, I'm going to Pletcher

Pletcher. I'll go with Miracle second with

irad. I think, I think she's an

obvious after the Rachel Alexandra.

She's an obvious to turn likes it.

She'll get the lead atomically will come late.

And I think it'll come down to those two.

We made the lon and it's interesting.

Atomically was actually entered in the Devon.

Dale and she scratched. I guess that was oh, it's a

110-mile and she never missed a work.

So I guess, like you said, I think, I think they want to go

to turns. Yeah.

Nigger waiting for the two turns.

I don't like Darth Vader in this spot.

We talked about before we came on the air, but some horses, but

it went in big. I know me because on her big

prices like 41, 21 last time. Now, she's going to turns again

her other to turn race atomically.

Now she's a better horse out. Tom Oakley be there by 11:00

length, so now she's got to go back to turn.

She's going to be 7 to 2 and Set of 40 to 1.

Yep. Not my kind of horse.

I do think the pleasure is hold the key in this race, but I was

a little interested and I'm not, I don't know what to do with the

7 horse because I agree with you.

She comes out of and Horn a race at Oaklawn, they privately

purchased her, this is the group that privately purchased the

horse that nailed than mouth. I'd nail Dan Ashe on a couple of

years ago. I can't remember the horse's

name but it was the same connections Weaver in the

owners. I mean, they got to know she

doesn't really have any pedigree on On The Damp side to go to

turns, but they're still running her in this race.

So I think she's a wild card in here.

That's going to be interesting to see what she does.

Oh, what was the name of that horse?

Because she ended up cracking private purchase, I think.

Yeah, she had a 22 word name. She was going to be the rabbit

in the Oaks and she was a neighbor, did a three weeks ago

and they're big hard in that. Sorry she's crashed.

I can't remember who it is and that was in which race as you

entered in Tampa, on their Tampa Bay.

The Madison know that she won. No, she lost the ashram by

stash. Nailed her right on The Wire.

Yeah. Yeah.

Past the champagne, was the name of that horse.

Yeah. And Jesus in connection.

Interesting. Okay.

Yeah, because I mean his stretch out numbers are not great for

Georgia Weaver but I looked at her too because not this time,

And you know, any Charlie on the bottom side so it's not like

it's not like it's not there, right?

So yeah, it is. I think Miracles gonna be the

pace in this. It's hard to tell because like

Darth Vader, rent such a good race but she's never really been

on the lead by herself, but this is the first time.

Yeah, I think Miracle Pride unless the seven or sigur with

stretching all the way out has real speed from six furlongs.

I guess she could be the speed It's interesting with because we

talked on the show a lot about how Pletcher places his horses

in the first place and with Miracles, I mean, they really

traveled her. Oh yeah, so she's been, she's

been all over the place. So yeah, let's see what we get

out of Miracle there. Me.

If he has her there, there's a reason.

So, all right, we're going to move on to the Florida Derby.

The the main event of the afternoon of course this is for

three-year-olds and it is 400 Derby prep points.

So 1 million dollar 1 million dollars.

That's right now. Out.

I'm seeing a lot of Buzz about the four horse Mage, you know

because I think this is really you know we're going to see

Forte breaking from that outside which is kind of been the kiss

of death in the and the 42 to turn races when you get that

outside post just because of how the approach goes into that

first turn. But we I think everyone here,

thanks for taking overcome that, but what else are we going to

learn about this field? I mean, are we going to learn

whether or not Cyclone Mischief? It's for real.

You know, I kind of hope I could kind of looks like a mischievous

real Love to see Dale, Romans back in the future, you know, I

think there are other horses here.

That could show us something wnl on the outside.

Ran a terrible last race in the sand at Davis.

Maybe he gets to Gulf Stream and likes the surface.

I don't know but the twelve was going to be really really hard

for horse of that level. I-i'm out on Cyclone Mischief

until he puts together a performance like that again and

he ran well last time in lost by six lengths.

Yeah, sure. So, you know, Fort Bragg's in

this race. I don't know how good the

California horses are yet. Because we saw one go to

Arkansas in the sloppiest conditions, in the history of

Arkansas and win but he's no longer on the trail.

So that's that's its own thing but otherwise I'm not buying the

Mage hype but what say you David yeah the pace is going to be

really hot in this race. I feel like it made set the

pace. First time outgoing seven

furlongs he didn't set it going to mount to succeed but now you

get scientist whose way more aggressive than Castellano.

So maybe him stretching out, even more 29 for a long time.

His third career Starting to get some experience last time.

I'm not the biggest Mage guy in the world.

I think he's a talented horse, but this is asking a lot of

horse pretty soon. I mean he's getting thrown into.

I mean last time out there was it wasn't the biggest field.

It wasn't the toughest field and not that.

This is a tough deal but this is twelve horses.

So they're asking a lot of him. I don't really have anything.

Special is saying here I think mr.

Ripple the a horse is a horse that has mid-pack tactical

speed. They can maybe hit the Borman

Forte but I am on with you. I don't like Cyclone Mischief

because I He's going to get the lead again.

I just I don't know how good he really is.

His allowance win was good but his last race he kind of had

things his own way and he lost by five lengths to Forte.

So it's hard to for me this and let's for day doesn't show up in

any of the other 11 went. I had to hate to tell this to

you guys but there are horses at the Finish second and third in

this room. They said mr.

Ripple, I thought ha ha ha. Um, yeah.

I don't pour Bragg maybe, but he didn't have a good post either.

I don't think he's near As good as Forte.

So he's going to have to overcome the post as well.

It would have to be in a horse like wnl.

I think would have to go really hard at the beginning and B and

then fade into third place or something like that or just take

dead back out of the gate and hope.

The pace is hot. You guys want it's one of the

two. I'm sure I read probably going

to send Forte and then let him get in a rhythm and then let

everybody else just go and he'll probably be wide into the first

turn and then tuck in. So did you see the video of

forte? The Paddock this week?

No. Just look oppressive or what?

Yeah, he actually, you know what?

Actually he looks like that that violence Maduro thing.

He did. He chose a pro man?

Just he knows what's going on. I tell you what, it's, and we

were talking about this off. And I know we talked about a

couple weeks ago, but just the Rarity of what we're seeing here

with a horse that ran in May was You know, won the Breeders Cup

Juvenile and continues to get better.

Like, you know, we've all know that Middle School athlete, who

is so much better than what everyone.

But then, you know, everybody else, caught up to him in high

school and ended up because kind of faith into the, into the

sunset. But for tatius, he's only been

favored once in his last four races as the favorite, which is

crazy, right? Last race.

Yeah. I mean, his value and I'm

looking at almost 57 One in the hopeful, which is amazing.

That's great news. Today's going to be today,

Saturday is going to be three to five from post 11.

So there will be no value with him Saturday, but I just, it

looks like I know pledge was obviously a Hall of Famer, but

it looks like the way he's bringing this horse along.

It's just so perfect. He had a perfect plan, in the

fountain of youth, it's coming together now.

He's got a 94, a long test, and then if he, you know, everything

goes, well, the Derby would be his third start of the year,

which seems like a perfect two-way prep for him into the

Derby. Well, I'm jealous that you're

down there because the Florida Derby is the race is for the

prep race. I've been to the most, and I

used to go all the time when I was younger.

And one of the books Derbies. I think it has the most

everyone. There's almost most recently

has. Yeah, I think I'm all to yet, so

I'm not the wood knows nothing about.

This is not the wood. Yes, it is needless.

But yeah, well, David tell the people where, to find you, man,

Twitter and the website and everything else.

Yeah, you find me on Twitter. At Paddock to underscore Prince

and under horse on horse racing, nation.com under expert, picks,

and Patek prints. So yeah, be doing Aqueduct Gulf

Stream and then, we have the Arkansas Derby this weekend.

So, we got a lot going on in the next weekend.

There's three Derby prep psi3. Right?

Keenan sanity in the wood Memorial.

So we got three big ones again. Next weekend or two and a half

big ones. Hey, you never know, you never

know. I agree with the war memorial.

Did produce the Preakness and Belmont winner last year.

I know it didn't Derby Day to do well, but they, In Dublin, in

the previous involvement. So, yeah, all right, David.

Well, thanks very much for coming on and hopefully I'll see

you soon either at the track or maybe one of the servicing

distillers games. So thank you all for having me.

All right. All right, that was that David

leverage the coach kid that I've known for a long time ago.

So I did want to give out, I think there's a long shot, play

in the 13th race and the Appleton.

Yeah, he's pure gold. The one just ran really a

respectable race from way off the pace in the grade three

Tampa Bay. Last month and gets a little bit

of a freshening here for Kelly, Breen and gets Paco Lopez a

board in the one hole. I think that horse actually has

a chance to be right on the lead there and pick off that race.

And so if you're playing the lake sequence don't leave the

1821. There you go.

That's nice. Yeah, I will ask me about to

Arkansas and let's talk about the days out at Oaklawn.

There we pull up my chart here. So show us I'll tell you what

you'll guess what, I got some news.

Oh okay okay you want to use. Okay, I got a whore.

Us. Okay, got a two-year-old you

bought. One gotta share, you know,

thought we were going to do that on the show so we weren't wanted

to. It was given to me.

Oh, it was a gift. My parents gave me a horse, his

parents gave him. One one-thousandth of a share of

a whore 1/100. I wish to share.

Thank you very much. He owns the illegal shoe that

you're going to put on the horse.

Yeah, got The Sire. He actually he owns the topical

cream. It's basically goes on the

Buddha. It's basically the Cooper

Manning situation because the sire is a full brother to

American pharoah. So there you go.

That's what that's what it is. Here's the open here is to hope

you never know with those two year old man you know Universe

there always some in Meg's, not Forte.

Well I don't get to I think with 1%, I'm pretty much out of the

decision-making on that one. Hi, Mike and awful here.

I own one percent of this horse. Get out of the way.

Yeah, I'm gonna, I'm gonna show up at the barn.

I don't know if I agree with how your training.

Then Colebrook, you bum? Get out of the way.

Can we get Bob baffert in here or what?

Come on, we're listen we're working on it.

So no I mean ice cream. Let's go.

Yeah. Well, alright folks Contender.

Yeah. How about that?

Yeah, I like that. Well, I also buy these in the

fall. How about that?

Let's see what we can get scared, going.

You know, let's go. So we're going to go out to race

5 which is the grade 3 o'clock on my land is a just as the name

says it's a mile on the dirt four year, olds and up.

Four hundred thousand dollar purse.

Here Lewis, who is your pick and this race couple of really short

favorites here. You get happy smile, excuse me,

smile, happy son, of run happy, of course, I've never heard of

run. Happy to state-sponsored

anything but you know Anonymous ownership okay?

Um, don't sponsor anything. Yeah, the whole thing I um,

Hopper's in here too, but beverage shipped him in

four-year-old, just ran in this and I need a handicap more

names. That I was something not

familiar with band of rain in San Pasquale before that, of

course. One of your firm, but prior to

that, with John Velazquez, John Velazquez Coming to Town, the

two of them hitting it a crappy. 67% at Oaklawn, the last couple

of years, I'm gonna try to beat the favorites here.

I'm in a Longshot booted a parent.

Okay, let's do it. I think there's going to be

moisture in the track on Saturday.

Okay, it's going to rain all day on Friday Arkansas.

All right. So I think there's going to be

moisture in the track. Let's trust the horses that have

done. Well, that would be the five

Kettle River for Wayne Lukas, and I was a long shot for two

one. But if we can beat those two,

favorites in a longer ticket yet, we're Something, cuz

there's going to be I would guess in longer tickets way over

half the money in those other two horses Wayne Lukas,

fantastic housewife, or Carlos Santana, junior Here.

Who's back to his local, inform? Winning it tonight for tonight.

Good to see him doing that. Peppering the board.

What's interesting about Ricardo's numbers right now, is

he has as many wins by 2 less than he does places and shows.

So if he gets on a horse, he wins really, really interesting

stats right now. I think several Prospectors want

to watch here as well. 821 gets Tyler here for Steve as mustn't

143 this year and random that Essex handicap at Oaklawn, going

to Mile and an eighth nowhere to be found.

But to back in the mud one, an optional claimer by open links

over superstock and soy Tapatio, who are two pretty reasonably

good horses. They're not of the level of the

horses in this race. You know, the the old crappy

40,000 dollar purse for a grade 3 kind of attracts better horses

and this I think is a great three.

Absolutely. Yeah but I think you're getting

a silver prospector by Where that is very much capable of

jumping up here and running a big race.

So I'm going to lean on the 5 and the 4 year Kettle River.

And so we're Prospect. All right.

So Kettle River. Can't believe never has, does it

still doesn't have a greatest takes when correct, I mean, but

of course, R and S Arkansas Derby.

And then ran in the Woody Stevens.

I forget where he finished, and then, but is, you know, very

comfortable at Oaklawn. Let's just say, I think, all

kind of rivers, winds have either been Oakland, and then

he's got to Churchill. If I'm not mistaken a score for

10 lifetime at Oaklawn, he's 3 for 5 at the distance, you get

to 412 lat. Out of us over.

Prospector look when you get into the six-year-old five year

old horse. They're, they're not winning at

70%. Otherwise, they'd be a stud.

Yeah. So these are the horses were

talking about in this race. So I'll lean on the older gun

Necker Island. Yeah, around for a while.

Yeah. Well Island, Nichkhun Little

Island Deccan. Yeah.

Little Little Richard Branson. All right.

Glad you didn't go Epstein. Yeah, well, no, that's that's

his name of his private islands - oh, okay.

Just let go, I've seen. Okay, thanks I wasn't going were

sexual, you know, God I mean, I know I usually have a dirty

mind, just not right now. Well, neckin, that can I

understand Necker. All right, if anyone still

listening, we're going to go onto the fantasy steaks, which

is a sense of people dollar race Mama 16th on the dirt, of

course, for the three-year-old Phillies Louis what pain till

she doesn't win? And that's, I'm being serious.

I think moisture in the track does matter here, but I also

think she's just a good family man, and I applaud you and Pratt

seems have a really good relationship with her.

She runs the same freaking race every race.

Ya every race man. She's so consistent it in

frankly, in the honeybees, she was way off the pace.

I mean, we're talking 79 links off.

The pace was still able to cut off her trip and the other side

of people saying, oh, they got a dream trip once in a while.

Is that good horses? Make dreamtrips.

Yeah, I think she's a Dream Maker.

Okay, well let's go dream making Wetpaint 825 for a reason,

floppy and Pratt only winning 45% of his mouths at Oaklawn

Park, he and podcast. He's teaming up to and five of

747 scuse me at the, at the track 41 percent overall.

So obviously, this is a very, very good combination.

She wins, Martha Washington went fast, she wins in the slop at

the honeybee. I trust her, even if it's just

good, go to win this weekend as well.

Of course, Louis cheering for the, for the little guy, with

the flavor and Pratt Brad Cox could often entry.

Yeah, they could often people us.

They breed. So few horses, and they have so

little money, it's just good as either.

A little, just the underdog kind of thing.

That horse racing. Brings out the very best.

Oh, the Bell house. We all can't be, Eric Reid,

could you? We can't be here.

Agreed. We just can't some of us have to

be golfing. All right, let's move on to the

Arkansas. Derby Mi, sorry, a million and a

quarter 1.25 million dollars. A mile and an eighth on the dirt

Louis. Who do you like here?

I know who you like here, but go ahead and tell us.

What, do I care if you like Rocky?

Can you see? Like man, I got a long-term now.

I got a long shot here. No, really?

I do. Okay, I think there's a

ten-to-one shot here. That's got a legitimate chance.

Just ran the to turn. Mile in a buck 37 with Nick.

Juarez with Chris Hartman. They're hitting it. 21% at

Oaklawn Two Eagles River, the son of cloud computing.

Okay, how about that? Majestic Warrior on the bottom

horses? Just getting better with Two

year with roots, three-year-olds breaks Maiden by the way in the

slop or runs? Yeah.

Brace Maiden in the slop of Churchill at 122 thousand

dollars. What do we say about horses that

run on a 20 thousand dollar races at?

Churchill the ownership thinks big things of them.

Absolutely. And so that's absolutely where

this horse started and where he stayed runs in the Renaissance

next time out at Oakland losses for frosted departure.

You may have heard of him as a two-year-old comes back in an

optional claimer loses to a horse named verifying.

You may have heard of that bad comes back.

And then wins last timeout, disarm Funny.

Uncle, Nick Juarez there. I think there's a legitimate

chance that this horse has figured it out, of course.

Last three runs on Lasix. Did win early on without Lasix

and so absolutely. The case I am, I do like Rockin

no questions asked, I don't think you're going to get four

to one. Okay.

So that's part of the problem. I think I'm going to get all of

10 to 12 Eagles River. Actually, I think I'm going to

get 12 or 14 to 1. This will be a very interesting

race to see how it is, but because I had, you know, I think

red route one's going to take a lot of money.

Reincarnates and take a lot of money.

Angels Empire will take its share of money.

I don't know if it would be a lot of money.

I definitely think will be the least amount of that that

grouping, but it's gonna be interesting because I think you

do have those horses up front who are going to draw a lot of

the dollars going into this race.

So, Michael Columbus tonight, how are you doing?

Yeah, I don't like the 04:19 pick that I gave out earlier

either, but I'm looking for billions of those races trusting

that that synthetic to Turf is going to pay a big number in

those more open races. Harlow caps in this race.

Yep. Interested to see if he can

bounce back. You know, of course was in the

Bob baffert Barn. I think the only horse that

moved as mohsen or other than a merely, they moved him early.

Yeah. Runs at the fairgrounds.

Obviously, there's the star. Nothing comes out of that.

You've got to control the vampire here, who wins the Risen

star, it's 922. So obviously they don't think

that was much of a race, a buck fifty one for a mile and an

eighth not very fast know. So that 89 speed figure, who

knows. But at this point Ointment I'm

willing to take a longer price. Reincarnate to me.

I just don't know, man, because those speed figures at Santa

Anita are always like, 95. They all are and then they and

then they travel and it's just not the same.

But at the same time we had Arabian, Arabian Night Lion-O

who won was Arabian Night. That wanted Oakland.

Arabian night and then is no longer betrayal, right?

Yeah. So rainy night flies in and wins

just red Route, One run, another good race coming out of the

Rebel ran well in the southwest and second in both of those

races, I actually think he'll be the favorite at this one.

Okay. For Tyler, and for Steve has run

Second Twice over sloppy. Go to Oakland Park, maybe

slightly better conditions will be better for him, but he's 147

lifetime, man, and so, I just don't know if the top contenders

in this race. Don't Inspire confidence.

I'd rather take a shot at someone like two Eagles River.

All right, so let's go. Let's get it done.

What else you got for me? That's why I didn't put this in

the sheet. Yeah, because I take would be

very expensive. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Well, I got sports betting for you.

My friend, you got sports betting, that's what I got for

ya, are you? I guess I'll probably download

the app only put a shilling or to you and a game every once in

a while. Yeah, you bet every 49ers game

for five bucks? Yeah, I don't, I think I have a

hard rule about not betting for teams that I'm emotionally

attached to five bucks. Yeah, 5 bucks is a lot of money

actually, with you. And I talked about that earlier

from a bit, five bucks. I'm trying to win.

I just go for the emotional attachment, not going for the

sentimental pick, you know, plus who knows what the to have the

49ers next year. See a block party gets healthy

and time. I don't understand like why they

don't go get Lamar. No, definitely do not want Lamar

Jackson. The, I don't understand why they

waited so long for Brock. Pretty to have surgery when the

six-month recovery time because that they would have done it

immediately. He could have been ready for the

start of the season. Now, it's kind of iffy, right?

So I don't know, it's just one of those things.

I just like his family. Yeah, I did.

Like it was all. It was all really cool.

And then how sister and Mom mostly.

Oh yeah. Yeah, the dad seems like a nice

guy. We should hear its base to

podcast, but it was a cool story and I hope the kid can repeat

it, you know? So I hope you can see mr.

Irrelevant. Yeah.

Last pick in the draft. Yeah no it's a pretty awesome.

I mean if I can't have block party all once will love us.

So let's go it. Let's do it.

You think you look good bro? I do think he's gonna be a great

Pro. Kind of think he's gonna be a

good Pro things me, I think he throws an incredibly hard ball

and if he can get his reads down, will be great Hardball

Hardball. Yeah, speaking Hardball.

Yeah, little baseball. Today runs can be worth a damn,

no. Reds did with the Reds do today

is, do they? They lost terrible T's, man.

It's not a game. For going into the into the

eighth-inning they gave up a run in the eighth to the freaking

Pirates. You know, I'm still bitter I

guess at the reds don't have the absolute first baseball game of

the year, like the way it used to be.

They kick it all off because I think that's the way it should

be. You know what else?

Really baffles me about baseball in general, who I like that?

That's good. Typically will tell you next

after this break. There's no break typically ESPN,

like makes it big day out of opening opening day they didn't.

Play any games at the 1:00 and 4:00 time slot.

So, wait, when did the White Sox play?

They play at 7:00. Okay.

Never mind. And so because I do burn, any

didn't have to work tonight. Yeah.

And so, I'm like, I'm looking at this thing.

And I'm like, all right. Like, and then Major League

Baseball screwed up their deal YouTube TV.

So they don't even have the majorly MLB Network on YouTube

TV anymore. And I'm sitting and everyone's

going YouTube TV right now because of Sunday Ticket, right?

So I'm just looking at this thing.

Like, what is, what is baseball doing their invest in all of

their TV money into valleys? Who couldn't you know who almost

went Belly Up? On them.

Yeah, I don't know what happened with that Valley situation

actually. Yeah, getting a question on

Twitter. What do you guys think about the

the temporary paddock at Churchill Downs?

I like any of it want to be clear about all of it.

Hi, Churchill Downs, where I was yesterday?

What's not? You're not supposed to like it

this year? It's not.

Oh, no. Not like, I don't know.

I don't like the one next year. Oh, you don't like, no, I don't.

I don't like the concept. What I don't like is you think

separates the classic? Boom.

That's yeah, yeah. And that's one of the last great

things about the track. Was that you got Just the

smelliest person on the planet dancing next to the horse owner.

Like you, you still will ya? I'll be right next to all the

time. I know your horse owner.

Know the your bougie. No, No.

I, um, I don't know, horse a long time, it seemed great.

I think they're doing what they think they have to do.

I'll tell you the media Center's.

Way different. Oh, is it?

They got all the cubes are gone. Oh, really.

Tables are going to Pimlico style?

Okay, I was like, oh, you guys are doing Go Darren's.

It's like yeah but the table's will work, you know, so there

will be internet for their tables like this.

Yeah. Okay interesting and frankly for

what we do it makes more sense than the type cubicles.

Yeah with equipment whatever else?

Yeah, we're going to you, we argued one we're getting dark

like a Baker's, got him kicked out.

That's how about that, I love it.

That's right, blank, Kentucky and get an agree on on the, on

the, on the old Twitter feed here and Ice comets from Roger

and from Mike tonight, appreciate you guys hanging out.

The I just I get it. I something that I've learned

from John Travolta and there's like solid some three things,

three things. I think for a dog while you're

not in the same state complaint about weather today and then

bought a cat almost brought home a cat with the dogs and they

wouldn't do it. I don't even want to talk about

it, so I had to like know, No, no she no, she wouldn't.

But it had a NYX. It like up front.

Yeah. It was your dog named after

Mount would eat it. I mean not McKinley.

Yeah. Okay, Michael.

I was pointing out he thinks visually The Paddock will be

amazing. I'm not, I am not questioning

any of the visual stuff. In fact, the grandstand on the

turn is beautiful. Do you know what it is?

By the way? Where's this particular going to

go downtown? Okay.

We're not gonna have that new 80 million dollar facility

downtown, you know, but they don't.

Why do you think they built it? Yeah.

No worries. Okay.

Realistic about. Don't you think I have something

on the track? Um, they will be able to have

something at the track. Yes, I think that aristides room

will have a doula. What about, what is this is that

aristides room is awesome. What is this September day at

Churchill Downs with NFL football.

Argh, I'm a tribal toski tweeted at me today because the, he was

following me, you know, with all the news with the sports

gambling today, that that can really kind of came out of

nowhere, right? Um, I mean it wasn't it didn't

get as much press as I feel like is it did the run up to it as it

has in the past. I think people were more stunned

that they just took it to vote. Because they knew the votes.

Nice. Yeah, so anyways, the the idea

of crossover bets available through Churchill Downs.

That include like a major league baseball game the same day as

the Derby or something. Yeah, that'd be fun.

Yeah, sure. To quote darrenrodgers as long

as the BET ends with the Derby. People will bet on it.

Yeah. All right well I got nothing

else for you. So let's pay the tab.

Let's get out of here. This has been the horse-racing.
