Life. Is true what they say life is

terrible music. Great show for horse racing.

Happy hour. Barry Spears little about

hanging out with you. Little Tampa preview for

Saturday. No Pasco, no problem.

We will do the late pick 5 here. Gasparilla and Wayward last will

kick off the sequence there. Barry, your home track there at

Tampa. How are you, man?

Good hanging in there. No, I I have yet to get out

there this this season, but. That job?

For sure, Yeah, pretty much. I'm sure I'm gonna hear it when

I get out there, but I'm gonna get out there soon.

Really soon. There you go, Barry.

He looks like that all the time, so I just.

Look, I do. You're at the track.

You know this. You've seen me after hours.

Unchanging man in Barry Spears. He just always looks the same.

He's a very consistent man. He's like the guy who goes to

Kohl's and just buys the same shirt In five years, he's.

There, that is me. I've Louie Rabot, Barry Spears

hanging out with you can always catch us every Friday, 2:00

Eastern, 11:00 Pacific on SoCal Saturdays presented by our

friends at Amwager. Appreciate them hanging out with

us on that program. This is just the weekly edition

of the Horse Racing Happy Hour. We'll go through that late pick

five in Tampa. The first three races of that

sequence I'll cover tomorrow with Ren Carruthers, who you'll

see on the simulcast. She'll join me as part of Rabo

and Co, my weekly weekday Excuse me radio program here at ESPN

Louisville. You're certainly welcome to join

us every Friday at 10:20 AM Eastern Time for that segment.

Head around the country do different things well and we'll

certainly be in New Orleans next weekend for that one Barry but

leading into this weekend Pasco canceled.

I don't mind talking about it. This follows up and I always mix

up these races, but they had the 2 year old race get canceled at

Del Mar and I think that's the Bob Hope that's right.

And you know I I went through this in my mind, Barry's like do

we talk about it isn't embarrassing for the track and

it's just I'm like no, no, they just had four horses in the

Jerome They they had to cancel this race at Del Mar.

It's just, it's kind of just the sign of the times, I think,

right? I mean, it's not, it's not a

Tampa thing at all. No, no, I like you said, I think

it's just a matter of the state of the game as it is.

It's not a really, I don't think an indictment on anything in

particular other than the fact that honestly we have too many

stakes races as it is. So this isn't like a bad thing.

It's not like this is a graded stake.

That was very important along the line that we're losing those

type of races. This is just a lower level race

that could be made-up somewhere else if they really wanted to.

Yeah, I largely agree with what you just said.

Now, if this were the Jerome and they had to cancel the Jerome or

this were the the gun runner or something, we'd be talking

something different. And look, the Bob Hope getting

canceled wasn't good, but they also Breeders Cup's been out in

LA and San Diego for three years, right?

Like what are you aiming for the, the $1,000,000 race or the

the $200,000 race? I mean, it's, it's, these aren't

difficult things to figure out, especially financially that way.

And so, no, I think we'll have a lot of fun with the card on

Saturday there at at Tampa. You know, Barry, we talked about

all the difference, you know, tracks, all the different

circuits, all that kind of stuff.

Tampa, that turf course, where would you rank it amongst places

you've been as far as just the turf course itself?

It's got to be up there, you know?

Top. Oh yeah, definitely top five,

maybe even top 3IN in my estimation and.

Yeah, the best ones I'm around on a consistent basis.

Keeneland, of course, has a great one, you know, Saratoga

with a pair of really, really good ones.

I've always been impressed when I go out West how good the turf

racing, you know, the surface itself.

As far as you know, Santa Anita, Del Mar, they're really, really

good. The Tampa man, it's right on

that list for sure. And you know, I I think, you

know, in American turf racing, we think of, you know, the

colonial, especially now coming up, seems to be one of those

places we talk about a lot. And you know, Kentucky downs has

its own, you know, characteristics and different

things, but I you know, with their move very to that more,

you know, seated course, the one that is, is better irrigated.

Even we've seen horses come out of Kentucky downs even better

than before, for sure, and the level of competition there's

really great. So, you know, I, I really, you

know, the highest rated graded, I should say, excuse me, race at

Tampa every year is the Hillsborough.

It's great too, right? And so, you know, to me that's a

testament to how good the turf course is down there.

Again, Red Crothers on with me tomorrow morning on Rabon Co if

you'd like to jump in that way. Barry and I will start with race

6. It is one of the two stakes on

the card. And this is the three-year old

Philly race. It's the Gasparilla 7 furlongs

on the dirt there. It is A1 turn 7 furlongs.

That is the size of their shoot there at Tampa, $125,000 on the

line here. Barry newly 3 year old Phillies

in this one a an even money favorite, the McKinsey Love Like

Lucy. I got to admit Mckenzie's caught

me off guard a little bit as a sire.

He's been pretty good man. These horses go a little bit

further than I'm ready for too. Yeah, this is such a a a

perplexing race because, you know, you got these horses, a

lot of them haven't even run in a little bit.

They're they're starting their three-year over year trying to

to get themselves in position to be, you know, maybe down the

Oaks trail or just even, you know, a factor in the stakes

picture going forward in the in the three O Phillies division.

That being said, I it was hard for me not to put Tessellate on

top. Yeah, I agree.

That horse has some speed and so does the outside horse, Gerard's

Cross. And there is a a situation where

those two can hook up or even if Tessellate is a little bit

faster, maybe Teslate goes faster than they really want to.

And that's when I went to the alternatives and I went to the

stablemate of Tessellate Love, like Lucy, who has some good

races sitting right off the pace.

But honestly, the company this horse has been keeping is pretty

good. You'll see after they broke the

maiden, they went and hooked up against Lenny Liu, didn't run

poorly against that horse who obviously Lenny Liu's a very,

very fast horse, came out of there, went over to England, ran

in the Breeders Cup and then they lost to Mythical who's

super freaky fast and I don't think they had a shot in either

of those races. Personally, this race without

either. Those two horses make this a

pretty good spot. They could track, tessellate and

move by and and kind of win this race going a little bit further.

So you are officially 2-3 and one in this one.

Barry obviously just made the case for trying to beat

Tessellate here. You're also going to include the

Sammy Camacho ridden and Michael Campbell driven, excuse me,

trained Lady Valor in your top 3 here, largely based on the last.

Race, yeah, didn't get a great trip and ran pretty good against

Reggie, who they were favored actually.

Lady Lady Valor favorite in that race.

Didn't get a great trip, ran pretty good.

I I think they can move up off of that effort.

Yeah, Lady Valor four runs, all of them in the trifecta for sure

in her career. Really, really nice start there.

I went a little bit of a different direction, 3-4 and six

here. Barry and I, you know, I put

Lightscape second here. I am a sucker for a second time

starter and I love especially early in development like this,

you know, taking a little bit of a shot here because I, I don't

know with Lightscape, I, I don't think that three to 1 numbers

accurate at all. I I think we're going to get

longer odds on that for sure, except that Thomas Proctor

started this started this year at Tampa 5 for 9 and he's been

at the trifecta 8 out of nine times.

So who knows, maybe he's just hot as Bard on the planet,

frankly. And so maybe we'll just ride

with that. But I'll go 3-4 and six here.

And you mentioned this horse and Gerard's crosses.

A fast horseman was in the Sandpiper last out and frankly,

once the horse wasn't going to win, just kind of gave way under

Sunny Leone who keeps them out here.

But before that was very good over the turf in the Colleen at

Monmouth Park. Before that though, breaking her

maiden at Gulfstream Park. So that's a horse that's been

around a little bit. Second off the layoff here.

Great, great angle for Kathleen O'Connell and so hopefully we

get that as well. She's not great in steaks

company, but I think the sixth horse here, 1 to include if you

wanted one for your exact 2nd place spot, he's Barry Spears.

Lou Rebell hanging out with you. Move on to race 7 at Tampa on

Saturday. The wayward last mile in a 16th

on the dirt. Phillies and Mares 4 and up

here. Barry, 100 and a quarter on the

line. A little bit of a really depends

on what you want in this race. I think Barry, if you want the

class of the race, I think that the the favorite on the morning

line makes a lot of sense. So it makes she makes sense as

as the class of this field. I think there are other ways to

go though, and I am positive that you're going to try a

different. Way.

Yeah, absolutely. You know, I'm never fond of of

closers in races like this, especially in small fields.

You know, Drexel Hill is is is decent enough, but I I4 to five

in this spot seems a bit of a stretch.

I know they ran pretty good in the Mother Goose, but I'm not

really sure how good that field actually was.

You know, obviously he ran good in the Butcher, but that was

around 1 turn and the 2 two turn efforts just kind of, I didn't

run all that great honestly. And this field isn't bad, but

it's not that great either. So given the post position and

the running style, I opted to go elsewhere.

I went to the one ultimate authority.

I I think they just got a race into this horse last time.

So that's where that turf run comes from.

But prior to that, out West, doing really, really good work

behind horses like Kinza Copion is in there in the main in some

main races. So I think this horse might have

a little bit of a class edge might might have been running

against better horses overall rather than in a few races.

And I think the trip makes a lot of sense here too.

I think the five Andrea might be the speed of the speed here and

and this horse could track right behind it and and definitely has

some finishing kick. You know, barn mates again.

So I think they'll they want this target in #5 Andrea.

So I'm going to go with ultimate authority on top here.

I I think the five is absolutely a rabbit here.

I totally agree with you. That is a 7 furlong horse that

does not want to necessarily go the two turns.

Maybe we'll want to you and I are different on one angle in

handicapping in general, Barry, I care about medication I think

a lot more than you do. The one horse in here all of its

best runs with Lasix, not as much without, but also in modern

horse racing you're running without Lasix against better

company too, right. So that's usually how it works.

And so frankly, if you wanted to make the the counter argument

there about class, I think you're probably right on about

it. And so 1/5 and two for Barry in

this spot here. I went an almost entirely

different spot, 62 and 3 here. I will lean on Drexel Hill in

this spot. I think Barry's take on this

being the closer and being concerned about that is

absolutely legitimate. But I do trust Ben Curtis to

give this horse the kind of race that she needs in this spot.

That's kind of trip at least for that.

Agree with Barry on early on Daniel Santino rides.

This is the other other Saffy Joseph in this spot here.

She ran in the Oaks and got a bunch of time off.

I just think that this is the kind of spot you bring a good

horse back in, right? A softer, you know, listed black

type kind of spot where frankly, it's not going to be a huge

field. You're going to control most of

the entries in it. And so I think she makes a lot

of sense here in the exact of three times out of four runs

last year with a win in a maiden special before, frankly just

going on the Kentucky Oaks Trail.

And that's what she did. Goes to Virginia Oaks that one

turn mile in a 16th. Gets a good second under Flavian

Proud. Javier Castellano picks up the

mount in the Gazelle. You and I were there that day.

And frankly, what was interesting about early on that

day is she was the one who did the work.

And Valerina. De Oro catches up with her at

the very, very end of the race. Chad Brown gets to win another

one and they all move on from there.

She gets to the Kentucky Oaks. Look, if if you want to blame it

on the slop, if you want to blame, blame it on the Oaks,

whatever. I didn't think she was terrible,

but that was kind of a weird race that day as well.

I think she's got a legitimate shot here as well.

So 6, two and three for me. And here, Barry, if you were

playing the late pick 5, how many of these horses would you

include in your pick 5? I would, at least in this race,

yeah, I'd take a shot and not use Drexel Hill at all, and I'd

go probably 125. OK, your three all top there

would be in your pick 5 again, Barry, 1/5 and two.

I'll go 262 and three. Only one I didn't talk about in

that I'm definitely not 6-2 and three, that's a an obvious 062

and four. I apologize, I put 4 on both of

my notes and all that Runaway Diva in this spot.

This is more of a Sammy Marine thing than anything else and

this is a horse coming out of that Delaware Handicap that was

won by Regaled and she was awesome awesome that day.

Runaway Diva did a lot of the work too as part of that one

before that was in the twixt over the one turn at Laurel.

I think she wants the two turns though we've seen her do that

before pretty well. And so I I like runaway Diva,

frankly a a fair amount in here. So 6 two and four for me here.

I apologize for the misprint on the screen there.

Barry Spears, Lou Reubo moving on late pick three at Tampa Bay

on Saturday as part of a Gasparilla day down there.

Fun one here mile and an eighth on the turf.

This is Phillies and Mayor. Philly is and Mayor's four and

up running for 55,000 and this is for non 2 lifers essentially

in an allowance here. Barry, I thought you could make

the case for probably 6 or 7 in here.

And and. And feel pretty OK about it.

And you're probably going to tell me no way man.

I got a. Definite No, no, no, no, you're

you're right on spot on with that assessment.

I, I mean, honestly, if, if I, I'd say maybe the five, but I

mean, if this race collapses, I, I could see the five actually

winning at a huge price, But I, I just don't think it sets up

very well for that one. And the 10 probably has no shot

of winning, but could probably hit the board at if things kind

of fall the right way. So it's, it's not, it's not like

there's a lack of contenders in this race, but I actually ended

up being a little bit boring in this spot.

Went to the one Phoenix of wit I I I just think their body of

work is just better than everybody else's here.

They they've have enough races under their belt against good

competition, including the last race, even though they didn't

get the best of trips and the one post is definitely a

concern. Like, however, there's really

not much in this race and they kind of stand out a little bit.

If we get 3 to one, this is kind of an all in situation, OK?

There you go. See.

See, I said it's wide open and you're like if I get 3 to one,

I'm not pressing, I'm pushing. Yeah, if I get 3:00 to 1:00 on

that horse, I mean, it's possible because everybody sort

of looks the same. They do.

But I I I just like those last three races the source had.

Once in a while, Barry in a non 2 lifer, you just look for

horses that win like you just said.

And so one that 2 that are coming out of wins are the six

horse Pablo Morales rides before the aforementioned Thomas

Proctor, who can't miss right now.

By the way, that horse coming out of the maiden win was in a

stalking position, went ahead and got the job done last time,

took eight tries to break her maiden.

But here we are daughter Perlin going to mile and an eighth.

I think this actually makes a lot of sense for her to stretch

out and go even a little bit further.

I went to the two horse next that is Perky and besides

describing me perfectly, Sammy Camacho is off and this is a

Miguel Clamal trainee that we last saw at Gulfstream Park on

the synthetic. But if we go back to the turf

numbers, I think Perf key makes a ton of sense.

Breaks for maiden at in the maiden 32 level at Tampa, the

keeper in the in the barn runs at the optional claiming level,

wins immediately against winners at a mile and a 16th.

I think the stretch to a mile and an eighth here makes a ton

of sense for Perky. And then I went to Mystic see

the four horse after that Bill Mott, Daniel Santino aboard for

this one, another maiden breaker last out at a mile and a 16.

Now that was on the synthetic. But before that did have

experience on the turf up there in New York both at Saratoga and

at Aqueduct. And so I think the move back to

turf here won't be too jarring for her.

And so give me those three other Mackenzie, man, I'm giving out

these Mackenzie's like crazy. I don't like it.

You went to it aided here. I think the only one you agreed

on Perky. Obviously the we did talk about

Frida on the toward the outside here, the eight horse going

further than she's ever gone before.

Yeah, this horse is actually kind of interesting for the fact

that a, why is this horse in this particular race?

I I, you know, there's, there's a lot of spots between Tampa and

Gulfstream that this horse could have run and they pick a mile

and an eighth turf route at Tampa.

Jose DeAngelo is razor sharp. He tracks or gets Sammy Camacho

to ride this horse. I don't think this horse is

without a chance. Maybe needs a little bit of

experience, but I don't know. I think if this horse is a close

to that price, you might want to take a second look at a horse

like this. DeAngelo does very, very well

with these types, doing this sort of move, going to the turf

and then stretching out. He does it when he cuts back.

I mean, he's a very versatile trainer, so I would give that

one a chance in here. Not sure what the price is going

to be. I would gather 12 to 1 is a

little high, but not that high because I think a lot of these

horses are, are kind of similar. You have a lot of maiden

Breakers and mixed in with some other horses that have some

experience. So you're going to get a mixed

bag of of sort of prices. And if Frida floats up to this

price, I I would really take out a hard look at that horse.

Late double starts race 9. Barry Spears Lyubow hanging out

with you on the horse racing happy hour.

We're looking at Tampa's card on the Saturday Gasparilla Stakes

and the wayward last begin, the late pick five.

We're down to the late double here.

Race 9 made in special weight for $55,000.

Six furlongs on the dirt here, Barry.

This is for three-year old Phillies.

And so we got a decent, decent, decent field of 12.

And boy, I mean, if you take out the one starter with four

lifetime starts, there's two starts amongst the other 11 in

this field. Barry.

A lot of first timers to try to sort out.

I think there are a couple of different ways to look at these

kinds of maiden races. Barry, if you, if you'll allow

me for a second here to either lean on horses, you know, the

couple that have the experience or to try to pick out those

first timers. If someone's got a bigger

pocketbook, would this be the race in the last five that you

would try to push as many horses in as you could?

Probably and, and actually, you know, typically my strategy

would be to toss the 1st and 2nd choices in here just for the

fact that, you know, I think that the earlier parts of this

sequence might be a little chalky.

This is where we could probably get a price and, and something

solid to push us into the last race.

There's, there's a lot of ways to go here.

I, I kind of thought the morning line was a little all over the

place and I, I think it's going to be a bet a lot different than

what the morning line actually suggests.

For example, the horse I pick on top, April Spun, has some

precocity in the in the pedigree and the switch from turf to dirt

makes a lot of sense. This horse really isn't a turf

horse. I, I think they may have just

wanted to get this horse on the track to see what they can do.

The horse didn't really run all that poorly, but I think the

switch to the dirt is going to make a big difference.

Kathleen O'Connell does this sort of thing often.

Her number second time just across the border or better than

than her first time out stats and I think this horse might be

live at a decent price. 12 to one seems to be a stretch.

I I would say probably 7:00 or 8:00 to 1:00 maybe even. 6 I

think that's right. Yeah, I agree with you on April

Spot. I think she's really interesting

here. I like Charlie Marquez.

It's an interesting spot for your horse to debut under the

lights at Meadowlands, is it not?

I mean, it's kind. Of an interesting sort of spot.

And no, no, no. But I'm not hating on it either.

Riding. On your horse.

Where you can run your horse. And I mean, I like that

Meadowlands meet a lot because I get dinner men in a bunch of

like turf races. That's great.

But you know, you and I, I did not expect this to happen, but

you and I landed on the same top 2, just in reverse order.

I'll talk about the three horse in here.

And adios Tootsie, a first timer for Michael Yates, who's yet to

win at Tampa this meet, but he does have 3 second place

finishes in nine runs, some of them with golib golib.

Yeah, how you say that? Zooch, golib or Zooch?

Who's been riding? For him and is 2 seconds and

three rides. And so this to me is a

fascinating one. Good work from the gate the

other day. Tampa's not a place where you

get a bunch of like sub 48 works, Barry.

It just not typically, no. Yeah, she's not.

That kind of track. And so for this horse to work

sub 48 before her first start ever and then to break from the

gate and run as well. She did top 10% on her on

January 3rd of her last work says something to me here

daughter Cajun Breeze Florida bred here.

But I I think I think she's set up to run at least really well

in here. So 3:00 and 9:00 for me and then

I went to the five horse Berry in chitchat will be the favorite

here for Bill Mott. And what the only thing I hate

is that it's a Bill Mott right because it's going to get bet

the wrong way. This is not a 5 to 2 horse, but

OK, the morning line maker did the right thing.

The horse will be 5 to 2, but it's not worth the of a five to

two kind of number. It should be 9 to 2, something

like that in my mind. And so I'll go that way with

those 3 runners. I'll go 93 and five here.

Barry, you are the eight third in your handicapping here.

Muffin thief. Are you a muffin?

Guy I am not. Whoa, whoa.

Not, not a muffin guy, you. Love sugar?

Like what's? I do, but it's it's I I would be

more towards like a Danish pastry.

OK, so let's do pastry rankings real quick.

Pause the show. Better or worse doughnut or

muffin, but much better doughnut or muffin.

Doughnut. OK, we're staying with

doughnuts. Doughnuts or let's go cinnamon

roll. Cinnamon roll.

I agree with you. Cinnamon roll or a Danish?

Only if it's an apple Danish. I like the cream cheese ones,

but the apple is. Oh, it's a slapper for sure.

Yeah. So like a like a, is it APRO

fritter like your like your peak?

Yeah, that's pretty high on the. List sugar.

Yeah, it's a damn good choice. It's OK.

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I'm the snack

master. I'm telling you man.

Steal some muffins. Why you like the egg?

There's some pedigree there, There's some pedigree there.

I like I like the the last maximum.

Mischief is Maximus Mischief's blown up man.

His runners are running really well right now.

And they're quick they're usually pretty precocious at

this workout on January 6th kind of firms that a little bit.

Why not 15 to one probably flying under the radar.

Yon Arnett does really well at Tampa in general.

I I I see that he's old for 43 but 6 seconds 3 thirds.

I mean, I'm sure that could be easily 6 for 43 and we'd be

talking a different sort of scenario.

But yeah, not a bad place to break out.

Yeah, right. That's exactly right.

Yeah. Not a bad place to break out.

So yeah, good, good connections outfit.

Why not? And erased it.

To me, he seems really wide open.

Yeah. Take your shots on this one for

sure. I totally agree with you.

We will close the card of course.

Race 10 down there at Tampa Horse racing Happy Hour hanging

out with Barry Spears. My name's Lou, you're both.

Thanks for finding us today or this weekend whenever you're

hanging out with us again, I'll have rent for others on my

program. Find that interview at the horse

racing Happy Hour platform as well tomorrow afternoon around

probably 12/30, 1:00. We'll post that one, but a

maiden special way to close the cart as well As for four and up

on the Philly and mare side. We are going a mile and a 16th

on the turf there as well. As I said, 55,000 on the line

here, Barry, we have some shorter priced favorites in

here. I'll say the seven and the six

so that I don't make the other way around.

Joke that I'm sure your daughter makes all the time, but.

She's a child who lives. In the United States, of course

she does, yes. And so I, I also have children

that make the joke and I know how to do this.

And so yes, who, who'd you land on and why are you going to not

try to beat the favorites? You, you bastard.

Yeah, I tried. I I really, really tried to get

around them. But I've seen this Chad Brown

song before where he enters a horse in a race like this in the

last race of the day at Tampa. And this horse just trots.

And you can see in the in the past performances here, this

horse ran in the Florida Oaks last March against Nitrogen.

Didn't run a step, but just the fact that they thought this

horse could run there kind of says to.

Do it. Yes, right.

It says it says a lot. Then they come back in November.

Just miss I I mean, it's just a matter of time.

I just hope the price isn't too short.

Yeah, Florida Oaks, of course, is a turf race.

In case anyone know doesn't know had run previously at Gulfstream

Park just missing under Tyler Gaffalion.

Chad Brown decided to take a shot and came out last time at

Aqueduct looked good out of the Brendan Walsh barn and so moves

into the Chad Brown barn. He's great at all these layoffs,

all the things I'm not going to say anything about Celtic motif

that you already haven't. 6-7 and five for me here.

Bronte is a first time starter in North America.

This is something Grand Motion does really well and so I'm

essentially just trusting him with a first time in North

America kind of runner. So 76 and five for me.

Queen Dancing is 10 to 1 here for Belmont and this is second

off the layoff. I just this horse made-up a

bunch of ground in the last race as well.

Barry kind of fought off a couple of other runners as well.

That was a one of those races where it's a big field, so 11

and about half of them go out quicker than they're capable of

and they all start to fall back. And so Queen Dancing got this

kind of tough, this kind of tough trip on the rail.

Moved in a little bit too early under Junior Alvarado.

Hopefully Santino, who's very good at Tampa, will keep this

guy away from the rail a little bit.

Should be the horse away from the rail just a little bit.

So 6-7 and five for me in here. You got the one horse at least

in the trifecta here, Barry, make the case for the palace

girl to hit the board. Yeah, actually, Queen Dancing

would have been my fourth horse if I picked 1/4.

OK, All right, so we're we got similar thoughts here at.

Least. Yeah, absolutely.

You know, you see, the Palace Girl back in 2024 at the Curra

finished second in the 16 horse race.

Wow, it's not easy, no. It's.

Not it's not easy and I I know you know they show up here a

year and change later don't get a great trip kind of hung wide

and slow and traffic and all the nonsense.

I, I think that this horse putting together another start

in less than a year is very positive.

Getting a slight makeover package, getting blinkers on for

an outfit that does really well with second time starters,

especially in the US. Why not?

I mean, I don't know what kind of price you're going to get.

I, I, I would gather the one, the six and the seven are all

going to be around the same price, you know, give or take,

you know, let's say 9 to 5, two to one, 5 to 2, not in any

particular order because I think any one of these horses could be

favored, but I'm, I'm, I'm guessing that Chad Brown and his

presence is going to drive a lot of the wind money on the 7:00.

So I would say that one will probably be the favorite.

But beyond that, it's up for grabs.

The palace girl might get a might go off a little bit higher

than expected, but that's OK because this horse has a really

good shot. Let's see if this works.

Oh, Oh yeah, there it is. That's not the end of the world.

I think you can play this skinny or you could try to hit that

maiden race and I think if you play it skinny, it's about 18

bucks and if you don't play it skinny, it's about 72.

So there you go. I'll put it back up for another

10 seconds here. Pretty straightforward for me,

Barry. Two in the first race.

I'm going to single Drexel Hill. I do trust her.

I'm going to go 3 wide a couple of times and then just use the

the seven and the six in the last race.

But again, I do think there is a world in which that maiden race,

in Race 9. Blows up the board, but you

know, in true Tampa fashion, it's probably.

Chalking out in that race and then the way we're last will go

to the right. Or something exactly some some

wild happens. I mean, I, I say this when I,

when I go on Steve Vick show all the time sometimes that there's

two races a day at Tampa that have inexplicable results where

you don't know how the horse that won one and there's no real

rhyme or reason. Hopefully it's not in this

sequence, but you never know. You never do.

That's exactly right. He's Barry Spears.

I'm Lou Rebeau. This has been the horse racing

happy hour. Good luck with your bets there

at Tampa this weekend. Barry.

What else you watching for this weekend?

Anybody standing out to you? Yeah, maybe a little.

A little football tonight. I don't know.

Yeah, a little Miami football, but I think this weekend the

cards at Gulfstream and San Anita should be pretty good so.

Hey, Santa Anita, today is dumb. I mean like great.

So hopefully people get into that as well.

Barry and I'll be back tomorrow. It's my favorite clock.

Same time Eastern Time to do our SoCal Saturdays with our friends

over at Amwager. Of course, 11:00 AM Pacific Time

out there. Actually cap the card before

Friday's card starts. It's it's just because it's

easier for my schedule. Yeah, turn it up.
