I guess that's me. I guess I'm the old me on the

back porch. I don't know.

But Mike and awfully turbo here for the horse racing.

Happy hour. Louis, I still don't have my in

TWA be. There are emails in.

Apparently you gave them the horse racing.

Happy hour email as your email I did.

And I do know now, I can't remember how to log into it so

oh okay. Yeah, I have many emails for

you. Good, thank you.

I got that beautiful pendant comes with a thing that says,

hey, you can just get into whatever you want.

So whatever track you want, what they clearly understand at the

end of gwa be is that all of us are just D Jen's doing Like

podcasts Zach. How are you a producer?

Second Mike do you need a personal assistant because those

emails come to my phone. I do good, I do need the the

executive, you'll be my personal assistant, that would be

helpful. So yeah I'm happy to be back,

it's January. If I might have had my

hibernation and it's you know and I want your back a week

early let's be real. I am back at leaked early.

I actually popped in and didn't Clips award show.

I mean I mean I did some stuff. I got popped in every once in a

while. That's that's it.

Mike admitted there's horse racing between December 1st and

February 1st. So there you go.

Not really. I was trying to think about the

laughs so we lost a good one today.

Somebody who's important to my love of horse racing from the

cigar side, Paul Tucker passed away today for people who don't

know from Louisville you know people from what will know Jay

Paul Tucker's whose default Tucker Oxmoor smoke shop.

And you know he was my guy that was my guy.

So like when I was a kid Paul had backing up.

That's you can actually smoke in the actual mall, like just walk

the ball. Yeah.

And so like he had like a little one was like kiosk kind of

things almost right across the street from the movie theater,

which there's no movie theater in there now, but you would sell

baseball Guards. So you like, how he was doing

baseball guards in the back. Oh, and I just remember going to

get baseball cards and smell like tobacco.

And then when I turned 18, I started working with him.

And I worked there for about five years, and had some good

times. Met some good people in back.

Then again, still like if they would let us still smoke at

least in the store even though you couldn't smoke in the mall.

So you actually like, you were like a bartender almost like

you'd help someone pick out a cigar and then they would just

kind of have a cigar play, some chess, play some backgammon and

hang out, but we were, we were little family.

And Was really important to me and so just want to you know

rest in peace Paul Tucker. You're a good man and got a bad

sometimes. Got a bad gig because he

couldn't hear out of one ear so people that he's being rude but

he's really nice good dude. Yeah, I remember that, right?

Yeah, yeah, well chairs for sure.

Are we drinking there? Man, all of us have the bottom

shelf thing that they love. And I'm taking some listen, you

talk about my wife that way and it's look, I'm convinced.

There's nothing bad that comes out of Buffalo Trace.

They're just doesn't make sure they just one of those things.

90 Proof. It's like a, I think it's a 42

month, whiskey, something like that.

And so, what I'm going for, look, I was walking around with

a walking into here. I was, like, wait, what am I?

I'm going Chief. We're doing that, but we're

going to go delicious. And that's what actually just

yeah. You are drinking something.

What five times as expensive as Ian Rock Hill Farms, which is

still here. It's been a long time.

And of course Fairgrounds do love this weekend. 10 points for

the jokes, but we get the 20 point race in the lecompt.

And so we are, we're in it. Now this is it no more Mike on

vacation. No more.

Mike traveling to New Hampshire to tell people how to live.

This is more important than whatever that is all you need to

do this. Okay, sure numbers are super

high, interest rates are super high.

So don't listen to Mike and am actually so, So, who saw the

last week? Occult winds.

Us Busan it if you listened to this show, Dan Issel was like,

the Colts going to run away with this thing.

Zack, what it'll look like. And one for three-quarters of a

mile, it's sweetest princess for a final quarter mile.

Occult is ranging up on the outside and a cult has now taken

the lead a cult. Now kicks for home, sweetest

princess is back to Second gambling girl, in the center of

the racetrack. With affirmative lady.

Final Furlong left to go o Colton.

Dylan Davis, trying to put it away, gambling girl, the only

one with a shot now is coming after her.

A cult approach to the 16th pole is still up by three is drifting

out of touch, but a cult, no doubt will be Your winner of the

Busan, Dan wins it nicely. A cult, gets the victory over

gambling, girl, tight, So you know, we talked about these

races Mike and one of the things to remember is in New York,

especially the Philly races are more predictive for Oak, success

than the cult races are for the boys, on the Derby sign language

because in the cold side that are not productive at all.

No. Their predictive just in a

negative way. Well, yeah.

Been predictive of not gonna win.

Besides she Pegasus really the last major horse to come out of

the New York circuit and when the Derby 2000.

But no, I mean, a cult seems to hits all the hits all the right

buttons, obviously we're going once.

Turn in this one. But I mean, who knows?

Who knows? Who's hurt.

So I'm talking about already gone through turns has done the

damn thing. That's the interesting thing.

I was just talking about it, we just did a Maryland show so if

you have it listed the Maryland show go back and listen to that.

Maryland has their Preakness Road starts.

This weekend everything six or seven for a long for the three

year, olds, who just turned three, New York doesn't care

about that. They're like, oh, you're to

Milan a two turds? No, it's go.

And that's, that's what they do it.

So, especially the Filly side, by the way, and then they're

like, oh, the acorn one. Turn mile.

I mean, it's really, really interesting.

It's so but no, a cult was super impressive.

Din was totally out on this one. He had a shirt on for that

episode. Unfortunately, but the yeah, so

I thought she was really impressive in if you can run.

Well, and that deep Aqueduct track, you can probably run well

anywhere, and it's still weird to hear Chris Griffin there

instead of John and Brielle a, but Chris did a good job.

I'm actually, you know, someone impressed like you didn't, he

didn't get kind of funny with the occult kind of thing.

I don't know what you could have.

He could have gotten funny but maybe he was scared of like

having a spell cast on the unlocking the gate to hell or

something like that or it's a dark day to hear.

It's a dark day here as a cult. Yes, we're saying whatever he

does appreciate him saying, boo, Sanda because you can only be

from New York and be like, hey, what you doing this Saturday?

Oh yo, go to the bus and oh, oh, oh hey!

Hey! What you doing?

All right. So what's your love for a Kohler

mean are we? So are we saying that Oaks

Contender Pretender? Or just one of those horses

that's going to be there and you're going to be kind of

middle of no, no, she's top 10 right now, for sure.

Well yeah, top 10 that meaning top 10, put you in the field.

So alright, but going I see 2014 look we're not talking about the

dirty which has Horses. And we're talking about the

Oaks, which is a real race that only has 14 horses in it.

And but would you put occur ahead of hoosier failure.

Ahead of when, no, no. Okay, you know what?

Now that you're not a great deal, but she's top five, she

loves the two turns and she looks super fresh at the end

there Mile and an eighth. That's what we're doing in the

Oaks, right? No reason to think she can't do

it again in a couple months. That's, you know, and typically

we don't see like outstanding Fields this early in the point

system but that and that's out trying to that's What I think a

lot of those, your courses have gone South to go stream, right?

Yeah, absolutely. But she did what she needed to

do, and she was very clearly the best of that day.

And, again, that surface we've seen Ali Kemal that came through

New York. I mean, we've seen horses

translate very well on the old trail through that route and

shyam L fed into the Keeneland winter race.

I think that your there's a possibility, you see her do the

same thing. What's the, you know?

A thing about this like me coming back and what is the

unofficial? What is the?

I mean we've had prep races, we go all the way back to the Also.

What's the like one prep race in January or even if he had to go

to February? That's like, all right man.

Well, like we're it's getting real.

Look Aunt, is this weekend? It's this weekend.

It's not the, she had to me. It's not the what?

It's not the same that's next week, right?

A sham was a couple weeks ago a couple weeks ago but that's one

turn. So I think a little cough for

me. Starts the real let's go again.

What we're doing again real? That's that's when you get the

Brad Cox horses. That's when you get, you know.

Well it's Start for joining swings, right?

I mean, it does, and it's two turns and all those things.

And I think that the Louisiana Derby is a reasonable path to

the to the Kentucky Derby as well.

Obviously, Santa Anita is as well without question.

I mean, the senator be one of the great predictors of winners

and they Kentucky Derby recently.

And so no, it isn't that. I just the Sham, they're doing

the right thing as far as distance.

But to me, Because of the situation this year, baffert

running one, two and three in. The sand is not predictive of

success in the derby forever. My heavily 1830 horses this year

2 or 0. Well, he's gonna Mash Hill.

He will have zero, he won't have anybody actually because he has

gone to ship out, but it's actually a shame this year that

he can't run because he I got one of us.

If he spread out his maybe ever his deepest three year old barn

which is ironic of course. But if he were able to spread

his Runners out I think he would have a Starter in three starters

in the senator be at least two in Arkansas, probably one in

Louisiana and then he want to probably ship one to the floor.

Under me as well. Yeah, I think he'd be 67 deepen.

Those hundred Point, perhaps maybe one to Lexington honestly.

Yeah, I mean, and I think you'll have, yeah.

You'll, I think you'll see some of that this year, depending on,

who he sends them to. But for sure, I think that

you'll see those guys get spread out because I mean, obviously,

they can't just all around. That's an even qualify.

So, you Spread them out a little bit.

Alright so this is what we got going on.

Today we are going to we're going to have a guest

potentially here in a little bit.

We'll see. I'm not going out to because you

meet, if you listen to this show, you know who the

potential. She's been known not to show

kids, and all the whatever else, she blamed the renovation today.

I don't even want to know and then we're going to get down to

it and go down to NOLA and just start, you know, looking at some

of those races and we talked About these fields with these 20

points takes and this being the comp we can Little Compton.

This thing is this thing is solid.

I mean, it's packed. I mean, you got, you got a lot

of horses and single-digit odds when you have Echo again at

12:54. Yeah, coming out of the

springboard, mile coming out of the Iroquois coming out of, you

know, a very impressive. I mean that the horse broke it's

made by over six Links at Saratoga.

In August, we're talking about a serious race, that's what this

is and with asthma and especially at Fair, as Muzzin,

you know, other places. I mean, that's what points to

this being a very serious racing.

So, ya know it's, it's as good as I can remember, in recent

history. I mean, the fact that the Paulo

will has two starters here in both of them are are

interesting. I mean, Bromley coming out of

the the Mastery group out of that candy ride 75-hundred

dollar breeding sold the horse at Keeneland in 2020 is a

yearling for four hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

Imagine bringing a horse or 7,500 dollars and selling it for

450k pretty good. It's not by the way, that's not

normal people. I just don't want you to like,

you know, so many kids have kids of Hearts puns in this one

candy, right? Like I mentioned Mastery

gunrunners. Got one in here.

There's a Gunrunner kid at a time.

Arms race with Cory Leslie at a quarter, a letter e at

Fairgrounds, I mean that's wild. So no it's a very, very good

version of this race. Do you think that as mustn't

ever win the Kentucky Derby? Yes, I do.

We'll see ya. I'd like I think he's got like

12 to 15 more times that he can do it.

Yes. Oh yeah.

He definitely does. He's got something.

He's not, he's not, he's not old by any means.

We'll see, I mean Pat day when we got the time to do, I get it,

I get it. It's hard, it's hard.

And I again I just don't know if it's his wheelhouse and he's

had. He's had some pretty good ones

that weren't able to do it. Same as Governor.

Yeah, you're right hurling. Yeah, yeah.

Right now. That's right.

Yeah buddy. Do when the Oaks so with Rachel.

All right, did okay with her. He didn't.

He did like pretty good and so we can not bad.

We did we did the To take out rates at Laurel before we, you

know, in the 7:00 show, the 8:00 show.

Now I wanted to talk about Fairgrounds and what the best

bets are there. The pic32 pick fours and the

trifectas. And the supers are all 25%

takeouts, very tough. Tough takeout rates.

They got that pick five. Take out lowered to 15 percent.

So much, much more playable, what I would suggest the exact

is in doubles are 20 and a half percent, and then the win place

show about Sarah 17%, so just don't work Asia.

Just go and play show is really my suggestion at Fairgrounds.

Go pick those horses out that you like and just just just do

that win place show. I do think at in Orleans, that's

your best option. You should probably be get

really good about picking out the ones you don't like and just

eliminate those and then get it. Don't let horses you don't like

is Mike's advice and Howard. That's I'm going to go with

that. That's my that's my gambling

advice to start the season was don't bet the horses.

You don't like. So the also just want to give a

shout-out to our boys at Green Sheet.

We're going to get into some handy cabin here in our boys

green. She just, you know, doing the

thing and giving out some great. Tips and you know, have that

have that handicapping Aid handily.

You go to Green Sheet racing.com, you download your

card, we've had some awesome conversations with with those

guys and just really grateful for having them back on.

And again it's not just a partnership.

It's I mean it's a true partnership, I guess I should

say. So appreciate hanging out with

them through June. That's right.

What what what is the what is the sequence that you have in

the green? She this weekend.

I actually put together the late Pick three?

Because I think that it's skinny enough that you can make, you

can make for a moment. Even the, even with the takeout

rates, even with the take out. Yep.

Okay. We're going to overcome that 5%.

That's right. All right.

Well, did you miss me? Okay so you can probably ask

Pursuit producers act. I really like how I sound.

Yeah you like to talk I do for sure and so I can talk over

people. What not since, you know, it was

fun. I enjoy the year-end chose.

Yeah, obviously prefer this port this format because you get to

carry the burden of hosting the show, but no it's a winter shows

that their own thing and I think Think we did a.

I think we did a good job. I saw 13 chosen the winner of

this year's. As I said in my email, melting

the guests, we were better than you.

So I had Ron flatter on for a show and it went one hour and 25

minutes and he talked for one hour and 24 minutes and 10

seconds. That was my life in the winter.

So I says to myself comb. That's a dairy, girls reference

if you have not seen. Derek.

Ooh, let's go check it out. It's really good.

I wonder if racing Rachel's seemed Dairy girls racing,

Rachel cut it off. That is a, it's a hilarious

hilarious shirt Netflix show. If you ever wanna just, it's I

want those. I've got a couple of those.

I have we have a lot of time. The producer on a radio show.

She wears that shirt like once every 10 days because she's like

this, you're So Soft. Like it's a nice teacher.

What about giving you crap here? No, that's from horseshoe

Indianapolis. What are we doing?

Damn right. Well HSI.

Look up together, bro. Well, Rachel, how was that?

How's the world been? Julie just told me that he was

on the show and Joe. Okay?

So Joe Krista fact called Indiana Downs.

He called it Indian, a grand forever.

Yeah. And so, finally, I went to visit

him at first I was like, bro, like, just and you call it

Indiana Grand. Now, I finally got him to call

it that, and he's still on the showing a horseshoe.

Yeah, yeah. And so do we finally got him to

say it? Right.

But anyway, that's maybe no, no Rebrand, every three weeks.

I might be nice. Yeah, you know, dude from your

lips. Ha ha ha.

We still if you look behind me, folks, that is a wall.

There's no horseshoe Indianapolis anything.

So there you go. Yeah.

I'm just saying we got plenty of horseshoes.

I used to have my little like so, like it's all restrooms

thing of just hanging out there. So I will say there are Derby

glasses and then there are Indiana.

Derby glasses and those things are fire.

My Indiana Derby glass is my favorite glass, I have no

questions. Not a hard fire.

Yes, it is. I drink out of it today.

Actually food. That didn't have?

You got her dates for this year Rachel?

Yeah, we do so April, 18th, to November Locke, who knows?

It's a long freaking knows that April. 18th is opening day all

the way to mid-november super excited.

I it is not out for publication, but I did ask Eric for

sponsorship purposes. That Derby is July 8th, so like

straight off. Like the press and it's honestly

not I don't think it's like sort of official so you have two

Publications but racing Rachel would like to announce it on her

show. Haha you're stuck with another

Saturday. So did you have enough success

on that Saturday to run it back on a Saturday?

Yeah, and that's another thing that you brought that up, Louie,

look at you with your homework. We are actually going to run

Saturdays in like the summer. June July and August.

So it'll be like, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, break on

Friday and then run on Saturday because you really found that

there are a lot of people that want to come out, you know, and

there and we want to help you know who obviously the money

isn't a simulcast and people who bet on conspires, but I think

that it's gonna be good. That's for me.

I mean, I got Saturday's off, usually, but for my Horseman, I

know that they were, they were Ting on Saturdays to it brings

in like a retail crowd, which is what we need more owners, we

need more fans, so I'm totally all for it.

I'm all for it except for that. I'll probably miss them was

raised like you know sport stuff but what she finds

Here. I'm like there's a whole control

all like I'm like, you know what I mean?

What's up? All those it gets, it gets worse

before it gets better. So like because they'll go once

they go kid pitch for the first time, it's like, oh, jeez.

It's like watching paint dry until they can throw strikes.

And then, you know, it takes until they're like in the fifth

or sixth grade before it gets good and Snow.

Yeah. Well you know, my wife, Lee

caught softball. So this yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. and I was like,

I'm like I don't want to be this girl, this is not my life but

bottom of the pyramid that's what you just.

You just have the top. That's going to trick is to get

those binoculars. That one sides a flask and

that's yeah that's the way I found out that I'm going to see.

They found out what I do. So now just how you got to save

your voice and sing at gymnastics event, I'm sorry.

I have to do handicapping for quarter horse races.

I'm sorry, I can't talk at this is what you should.

Well, well well when you guys had your chance, it's over now.

All right. All right.

So what else we want to go here? Lily Munster handicapping a

little bit or we want to do. I do, we should let Rachel go

though because I imagine. Do you have a look?

You have all the comps opinion. Although absolutely none.

I did. Look at it.

I literally do not have. I got previous Trails of thing.

What did the hell is that? What did the hell's?

The Preakness Trail, right? So Mike's sister just dead of

Grace, the show that I just did have 40 honey, but we're trying

to be Regional, we're trying to be trying to reach out the

states that are not in the top 10 of our states that handle

like I don't know. Top five money like Marilyn, I'm

just joking. I like the element I like John,

they're good guys. So there you're going to go to

the Preakness one sir. You could be like, holy crap.

What was going this year, right? I know you're gonna go and

you're gonna be like, holy crap. Why have I not been before?

It's gonna happen. There's our pan.

Get us in the Preakness for free.

No. But don't worry the show because

well, yeah, I know we could pretty much I got people.

We're good David's and I wonder where the cutoff for that is.

So like I'm it doesn't get you in Breeders Cup obviously and it

probably does get you any Triple Crown race is that it felt like

you think you go with your opinion?

The Traverse has a good. No absolutely not.

Um where's the cutoff? Indiana Derby.

I'll get you any mediator? Yeah, of course it.

Well yes, Ohio Derby. Yes.

Okay, we give me like you think it probably get you.

Those great ones? No, I disagree.

Oh, come on. What it like a place.

Like Churchill that has 180,000 seats.

Sure. But like a saint and attitude

the Monday after, I mean no the money after Christmas Day

weekend, Asher. But like, I know I've been

thinking honey, it's fascinating question.

I think the pins, nice, I think being reasonable and asking for

media credential is, oh, of course, of course.

Absolutely, yeah. All right, yeah.

Thanks for being on the show, whatever.

Yeah, because let's be honest, the guy at the gate is not like,

oh that's a Turf writers. Finn.

Let me, you know? It's right.

Not like this mr. Gandalf of.

That's how usually is get out of the way I have opinion.

I want you to buff my shoes with a fine shape.

Listen, if Roger Federer, can go to Wimbledon on an off day and

the security guard is like, who are you?

I'm sorry, I need to go to the back door to find the right

security guard to let him in. Did you just say that?

Roger Federer, I went to the back door, he knows no one knows

the back door. Like, Roger, Federer, exactly.

We're spreading rumors like, crazy right here.

All right, you. All right, let's watch a

basketball game one time. It was Northwestern.

Michigan State and a buddy of mine.

Trevor who doesn't listen to the show and Or did you alienate

them? No, no.

He just he has chosen a bad life and so we he got married and had

kids and whatever. So the well, we look bad life.

So he, he and I are sitting there and we're drunk on a

Saturday. It's like for the afternoon or

whatever. And, and I didn't answer it.

Literally says, no one knows the back door like Northwestern.

And once in a while, it'll be three o'clock in the afternoon

on Wednesday and I'll just get a text that just says, no one

knows the back door like Northwestern.

Because it was such a spectacular line.

I mean, just a beautiful example lifetime, oh, for sure it just a

perfect. I mean, just a perfect in

basketball thing but just out of context, delicious line, for

sure. So, all right, let's go.

All right let's do a little handicapped, let's do the thing.

All right, so we're going to be out at the fairgrounds, of

course, John Nola. And we're going to start it off

with the colonel ER Bradley Stakes.

The current URL, which is a mama 16 on the turf, or four year

olds and up, and a hundred thousand dollars on the stakes

on the line here. Louis, Hoosier turf wars here

weird spot here in the ticket in the eighth race.

It's kind of in the middle of that late.

In that middle pick five. Excuse me, 14, race card for the

college. Cars had a massive card.

Tons of stakes races all over the place price, walk straight

back into, sorry, yeah prep. Yeah.

Now you're fine and then everything else is amazing.

Would essentially, by the way, this is it's a bad amount of

16th. It's not exactly a Model 60.

I love the things about about store Orleans, everyone's a

little drunk, so I think about yeah and look price talks,

getting back on the the turf here is the best horse on the

turf in this spot. Came up for the Prairie by you

ran into in love and cellos rent.

Third by less than the length of Fernando de la Cruz comes back.

Brad Cox fluorometer. Ooh, I have bad news.

They don't win half the races at your at a Fairground.

Say, oh, When 43% not an accident that horse here for win

here. Coming second off a layoff here

24% synthetic deter for recently.

Very good for Brad Cox wasn't good for a long time.

Up to 23% getting about a month off.

In this case a little bit more than a month, 25 percent

etcetera, sensors Etc. All those numbers make sense, I

wouldn't, I think, two Emmys is way overrated in this race.

The horse won at Hawthorne in Chicago.

Against way lesser opponents. In this one I would lean on the

to hear and I would walk away from the church.

Do you know who who Edward are? Bradley was.

Damn it. No, he was basically a Horseman

who owned a watch for in. Oh look at that.

How everybody drink? You learn something we did.

You learn something on the show? You have to kill brain cells.

It's about growing just about we're all getting better here.

All right, we're going to get better.

Better. All right so we're skipping the

ninth race, right? So where we going to Next Level

risk, you do the 11th which is the Duncan F.

Kiner hundred thousand dollars for four year olds and up.

And this is about five and a half furlongs, so it's almost,

it could be, might be a Sprint race, not really sure.

It could be that, you know, maybe some people for some

people, some other people might be looking a little more

challenging. Louis many walking to just run

this Way or what? No, avoid many, what a

ridiculous. The signs of 5 this horse is not

run on the turf since running a colonial and an optional

optional claimer, which he lost. I mean, don't what are we doing?

I mean, seven year old horse were suddenly going to figure

out what's good and what's not? I mean like what are we doing?

I want to suggest to anyone. Hannibal Buress has a piece

about New Orleans by the parade. Yeah, a lot about it.

It's so good. So if you're going to bet

Fairgrounds this weekend, go look up here and Hannibal Buress

has, I think it's called a node or a loves a love letter to New

Orleans, something like that. Go check it out.

It's as good as it gets. I'm going other spots and so

there are lots of horses here that are really, really

interesting. I think that for example You can

get like, six to one on Evan sing, who's the for I'll stall

Colby Hernandez. Those two like Fairgrounds

hanging out doing the thing. Lots of running together, 18%

else, tall wins a ton at Fairgrounds this is where he and

his dad really came up and racing.

I think that's a really spot assault shop.

Angus Angus, David. How do you think you say the the

number five horses name? You're actually going to ask me.

It's, I would say egg and Gaston and your song.

Ok. Good.

OK, bad job maybe - yeah. Bad job naming this horse but

other than that you get Mitch moral who's like an 11 percent

irr kind of thing hits the board like crazy at Fairgrounds Small

barn in the, in the, in the Wiggins Barn here, the two of

them don't match up a lot and frankly, don't come out a lot.

Try to beat that horse as well. So I think, because of town and

Australia in Australia. Okay, set.

Yeah. Okay.

Withdrawn, because, oh, man, Yeah, I knock you off the like I

am good. I just had a I had an Abel

Tasman moment. Okay.

Yeah. Do you remember my Abel Tasman

story? Not really okay.

All right. Okay, you talk to one person,

listening is going to know my Abel Tasman story and or

everyone who read the LA Times newsletter will know my Abel

Tasman Story. Look, I think this is an all

race. I think this is a, if my pal

Maddie for example, draws in running out of Remington Park,

if that horse gets in jump on that kind of The nine if you're

wondering why it's eight horses and then also eligibles because

they've had to push the rail to 30 34 feet at the fairgrounds.

Yeah. Salt water got into the the

water that they were using at the fairgrounds.

It killed the interior that course.

And so they took the horses off the turf for a long time in the

fall and then they move them to the the exterior of the course.

Is the story. Lots of people don't believe

that story. I happen to believe that story

because the drought is an all-time drought in New Orleans

Market, search of the drf, for example, doesn't believe that

story. And so I appreciate him writing

about it from Chicago and not being on the ground there.

But it's, it's what they tell us from their Boulders in this

race. I get Tyler Gaff and I get, and

I get Steve asmussen. There's a horse of 3 for 12.

Lifetime on the turf, has run over wet.

Go and run and won twice out of five runs.

Huge be figures in those races random Oaklawn Park last time

out. In December, gets a little bit

of a break here. Steve asmussen are so pretty

good, interface prints at 70%. So I look to other horses like

this. Those two of course hitting

together at 23%. So could be a little bit of a

number that hits here, right? The reason, the reason I gave

out of pick three in the sheath is because I don't know what to

do with that race. I'll be really really clear

because I think the two favorites are very vulnerable

but if they want to be like, yeah, okay, yeah, sure, okay,

because I really don't know. So I'm not eager to give numbers

Bigger, surprise, your Louise at this race is stopped in

cancelled by cancel culture. So Duncan, Kenner was the

Confederate general. He was a provisional Congress of

the Confederate states. Use the deputy of Louisiana and

so, but he was also one of the very first people United States

to actually have a Racing Stable, so, South Korea.

All right, so just learning all kinds of stuff to the exactly

learn something you learn stuff Zacks, Pro Confederacy.

So it is what it is. Yeah, I learned that that Mike.

No, but to have one of the first Racing Stables United States,

unless you believe it or not, believe it or not.

Louisiana. All right, we're going to go to

the Silver Bullet day Stakes. It is a mile and 70 yards and I

can do it. No good nothing.

What a great radio right here. You know what this was not on.

Oh no us. Okay, who was on here,

three-year-old Phillies hundred thousand dollars twenty points.

This is your Oaks points race here just because that you know,

but the 70 yards really matters so What do you what do you have

here? Do we have a legit Oaks

contender in this race? Louis.

Good question. I just chopped off some people

think. Yes.

Yeah, the answer is yes. Right.

And so with Brad Cox, you always trust that he has a three year

old Filly ready to fire and chop shops that horse in this race

before our Drew 43%, like we mentioned at the fairgrounds ran

around in the Breeders Cup. Juvenile fillies didn't work out

there alcibiades by. I mean, the nose, just of noses

at Keeneland behind Wonder Wheel.

Never hold it against horses. That don't run well over the

dirt course of Keeneland, because actually they use it as

a sales ring for horses to walk around and they're like, I call

the Dan Issel, dirt core, so they can change the engine.

I like that. I think so too.

Whoo. Yeah, let's go with that.

The de nesle sale. Would you say the chop-chop was

kind of the buzz horse of the year show.

Cheers. A favor.

And she finished up their teeth. Yeah, yeah with Joel Rosario, I

actually like the change in Jockey here.

I think. Lauren's going to give her a

different ride and he knows the course down there.

I do think the chops a favorite. I like the other Brad Cox here,

I concluded her in the pick, three of the four horse, the

alleys look broke her maiden to back at Fairgrounds at this

distance, came back and ran. Ran in the on tappable at this

distance as well with floor wrong, switching to Luis saez.

I have horrible news Brad Cox forearms roof 43% at Fairgrounds

Brad Cox Louis sighs, 47%, their last 15.

Oh my gosh. How horrible.

So I met you that I do. You know, for sure that horse is

called the alleys looking at the Alice look up.

But that's that a bunch of Dallas, I don't know.

I bet I've seen the name Alice spelled that way before and

that's why I wonder. Hmm, if you spell it, by the

way, if you're listening to this podcast and you spelled your

kid's name with Ally instead of an eye to be cute, stop

listening to this podcast. If you go the opposite and you

spelled with an i instead of a wide that is student, what's her

name was Alexis? And the I was a why do you know

what I call her in class? Yes.

Alexis with a why that's what I call her and then I better

parents and their mom was like I was 19 and I was like, okay got

okay that makes sense to Sean. Get in this race to you so I

like it. All right I'll just write.

He's dominating down there man. Yeah 14% he's not he's doing

great until it for sure. Not just six thousand Winds of

course the Sean Parker's Even great love.

Yeah, and so now how happy I'm riding the Cox here fighting

for, that's why I'm going to pick.

All right, if I'm for there, it is again.

Smokes points, the Louisiana Stakes presented by Celine.

So what's that? This is a good race here.

Yeah, it's great. It's a it's a great one in it so

I don't care. 383 sorry, Mama 16th.

This is know about this is amount of 16 like there for

sure. On this one that this is about a

16th. And we get for four year olds

and up 150 thousand dollar purse.

Louis you said you liked this race who is your pick in this

one? Yeah so I'm going I'm going thin

again. Okay happy American coming out

of the wind and the tenacious in illicit sex last timeout by open

links by 2 and 3/4. James Grant has been on this

horse for many, many runs five year old gelding so you know,

run happy, I'm hoping we keep that form going.

Seems to really like Fairgrounds has his best.

You figure there seems to be coming into his own now, later

in life, ran in November into December, we'll see what he has

is a five-year-old but as a four-year-old seem to be

figuring it out. Zozo says in this race in the

interesting thing here is is I'm giving out the horse with

slightly longer, odds and Zoe's, but this is Brad, Cox and Corey

Landry been against at your own risk.

Again, I I think this horse is going to get a ton of money

because it ran in the Kentucky Derby.

We talked about this before. If a horse runs in the derby,

people have heard of it and they bet on it.

And so that's why I put a happy American above it.

Because I think at that 421, you're actually going to get 92

2521 kind of numbers. And I think the horse is totally

capable especially at this. Especially at this course,

you'll pass them. We've seen up a trishul Downs

with some of the very best horses and so it isn't as though

he can't train that way. Brad Cox, of course off to a 45

percent start. By the way, his other horses, 9

second place, finishes 33, runs 15, winners 33 runs nine second

place horses. So he's peppering the board.

So if those winds here, I'd feel silly.

So I'm going to 58 in bunju, you wouldn't, you would if Frenchy

and Brad Cox one, who with the seven forms of the Oreo, you

would be surprised there. I would be surprised only

because that horse was was beat by open, legs by happy American.

Okay. All right.

Yeah. And I'm also leaving out mr.

Wireless. Who you?

And I watched when the Indiana Derby but really I performs in

Indiana apparently. Yeah but gets the drawn here he

and upright Calhoun seem to be a good partnership but yeah, I'm a

by the way, those two, the two of them 30%.

If you wanted to spread, this would be the leg that I would

spend. Could I take three four, five

horses here, that's what I would.

All right, I'm not going to just for cost of take a person's The

the lock onto the great three. The compass is your Derby

points, race right here. This is the main show, we

mentioned it earlier. You got tons of horses in this

race that are single digits. I think a lot of people are

going to be one to see if instant coffee can kind of jump

up here and solidifies the early Derby.

Favorite. Maybe push forte in that regards

a little bit you know. But this is this is a deep field

Louis. I mean right now the only one

horse is at 12:50 and That's the longest shot on the board is 10

to 1. That's crazy.

No, it's especially in a horse field.

It is, it is for an early 20-point prep as competitive as

we've seen the last couple of years, and that's why when

people spread you single and I'm going to single here, okay?

And I'm going to trust it. Instant coffee is that horse?

Okay. And I don't think it's an

accident. When you look at long-term

success for Brad, Cox. Overall, not just a fairground.

It's but overall, he grabs Lulu science for those top top and

horses are sizes numbers, great, at the fairgrounds right up.

No, they're not, but we're getting the best horse in this

field with Louis eyes with Brad Cox.

I'm going to trust that the seven instant coffee is a single

here, because otherwise, honestly, to Phil's coming into

this race. For example, the a horse out of

the Reveille barn, with Jolla Barry.

I mean, the two of them by the way 154, they're less 154 miles.

23% really, really solid numbers.

Make sense all around last time out in the street signs at

Churchill Downs in the slop a runaway winner.

I think was the third favorite if I'm remembering properly but

that was with a strike and just not the level of an instant

coffee who went to the Kentucky, Jockey Club.

And one if people remember last year, And I want us to make you

remember who came out of the Kentucky, Jockey Club.

To grade one winners, their names are white.

A Barrio and Giant's Causeway. Yeah.

And they didn't win that race, right?

Give me Brad Cox and the winner of that race coming back and

look up. That's all I'll say if it's

anything like last year if it's anything if we get a repeat of

format, all instant coffee is easily the best horse in this

race. I'll take the seven as as a

single and I think people in the sheet Green Sheet racing.com

will see really short ticket. Five dollar base for a pic, 320

bucks. Very, very playful.

All right, awesome. And there's your pick.

For some reason, I'm drawn to Bromley in this space.

I don't know why. I think that's a reasonable

second, pick for sure. And there's something about that

that that candy ride again because we talked about on the

show Katie ride. Good luck.

Figure out what his progeny, they do everything right Sprint

there, on the grass there, on the dirt, whatever they go to

turns, whatever. Two starts two wins wins at

Churchill over six and a half hour alarms, goes at six that's

printing distance at Turfway, picks up that check Paolo Lobo

has been, crushing it Crusher. If way he goes further out of 23

percent, he's got two horses in this race for a reason.

I don't think he's It's not an accident, he's not shipping

horses for no reason. I agree with you.

If you're looking for people to pick up the pieces, it sews the

six. It's probably the three a group

and he did you also don't you don't book Jurado karelis for

the two rides in Kentucky and then Javier Castellano for no

reason with Bromley. I'm with you.

I think there's something that I mean I guess you're gonna have

to see if this horse can go that kind of distance.

I mean this is a significant Step Up in distance and it

obviously going to turns to but there's something about Bromley,

they I'm just drawn to it. So, let's see.

I'm, I'd be interested to see how Brown if I was going longer

in this race. If I were trying to figure out

another horse, I would go with confidence game.

Hmm. Only because he's in the Dizzle

Mo. Barn with James, Graham, you

don't think of those two as like, whatever.

But the two of them, 33% of Fairgrounds desormeaux.

I get it, and his brother and whatever, but Keith like this

horse, they stretch them out, didn't love it in the Iroquois.

You know not you know finish okay in an optional claimer at

Keeneland comes to Churchill in wins over two turns so maybe the

horse is progressing in learning, son of candy ride, you

know mom's you know mom's by bernardini.

That's the kind of horse where it makes sense.

That two terms would be a thing you know this is this is a horse

amazingly 75-thousand dollar breeding 25,000 dollar purchase

if this horse could jump up already, 183 thousand dollars.

If you can jump up and went something like will accommodate

would be pretty remarkable. There it is.

All right. Well, it's good to be back,

everybody. It was a great to see you again,

that smell. It's been a little bit.

I guess I haven't seen you. Have I seen you in 2023 yet?

I know I saw you right before, you know for now he will gain

money is no good here. But we haven't enjoyed a full of

an out. Zack.

Good to see you again. time.
