Welcome to another episode of the horse-racing happy hour,

like and off o, believer bow. And Zanies eggs Aynor joining

us. Oh no producers a key is known

as producer. Zach is not bad to be the

morning. Show you be one of those

late-night shows where we're just gonna bring Oaks Trail

replays. Next Oaks Trail replays, we got

all kinds of things to talk about.

We are starting a little later today because the Illuminati

around that we were go has and he's trying to become an

Illuminati. Listen, can I Zach Louis and Dan

had their ESPN show on location today at martinis.

Yep. And it is nice.

It is not good. Martinis is in a local Italian

restaurant, you know, that's as far as Italian restaurants

goats, it's pretty good. Like, we don't, we don't have

really good, Italian food in this town.

I don't know why, but lunch spot though, it's great.

It's as good as it gets right? Yes, it really is.

Yep. Nevertheless especially if it's

like salad, soup. If you're, that's what I did

today is active, you that kind of guy soup and salad guy That

it's a, that's me. Yeah, I've never, I've never

left their disappointed. Let's try that.

And I'm just, I'm just, you know, when it comes to time

through died. I'm pretty critical.

So, the with a name, like, and awful, I wonder why my kid

because my kids had dinner in Sicily before, they did.

It all Garden. So, that's a humble brag.

The haven't done that a long time.

I'll put it up, you just don't notice it, okay?

But you know what, you know what, it's only Bowl weekend.

It is February. Three.

It's time for a full reset of this show.

If you are new to the show welcomed into the horse racing,

happy hour. I'm lawyer bow.

He's Mike and Alpha producer Zach hanging out.

This isn't just a show. It's a drinking game.

Okay? So if you hear any of the, if

you hear any of the following things you need to drink, if you

hear someone brag at any point, in a humble brag, you have to

drink. If you hear mention of a famous

horse like kinky are momento lie or feel pass, you have to drink.

What are some of our other drinking rule Zach?

You have to drink. Stretch out.

The reason why the Barrio is now on that list.

Let's go. I'm talking about why tomorrow

you're doing that work today. 100%, we're doing our work

tonight. What's that gets emotional?

Emotional Louise. Actually, the one who gets a

motion on this show more than I do.

So Mike and Louis are olds, that's another one.

Oh yeah, yeah, dad jokes. So the drinking game.

So get, you know, saddle up. We're all at the bar together,

just hanging out, get your drink together.

And you know what? I I've been saying it, like

Mike's Hot bike helps out. He mentioned the radio show that

I do in the mornings. But we encourage people, man.

This is, this is the best time right now?

No, no, no. The best time right now, if you

haven't followed, the Derby track closely to just do it.

And frankly, it's not like following the college football

team. Yeah.

It's not like following college football.

Team words three, four hours of your Saturday man.

It's five minutes to watch a race.

You can watch it twice, right? And and man, you'll get to that

derby party. You maybe you'll even get to the

derby, or you go to the Preakness, we're doing those,

Maryland shows. Whatever it might be, you're

going to know so much more than the people around you.

You're going to have so much more fun knowing the names of

the horses. Get to watch them run.

When we get to May, when we get to June, when we get to the

fall, this is your opportunity to meet the best horses in

America. So this is man buckle up.

Let's drink and let's have fun. So, so we're on location of

martinis. I'm just hanging out with the

guys, a couple things happen. First off.

These shows are not good for Louise ego.

All right, listen, I mean he's got people coming up to him and

talking about how much they listen all the time and love.

The show and, you know, and he had a very touching moment.

I did have a touching moment today and I'll let you tell that

story because I don't want to, I don't want to run it until

another one. Like oh, whenever my wife goes

to the store with me, someone introduces themselves.

No, it's not like that. It was all kinds of people but

about tell the story about your nose, a young dad walks in, with

his three-year-old, they introduced himself.

He says, hey, you know, I was just driving around heard you

guys were here. I just want to introduce myself.

I'm glad I caught you in a break, Dan.

He's wearing a Kentucky sweatshirt as kids with them and

I leaned over and I say he was this and he goes, oh, this is my

son and Louie, I noticed something was different about

him so I went and had him tested for autism because of you

talking about your son on your show.

And I just wanted to tell you that you changed our life and

you know, this kind of stuff and it was like, whoa I'm just

screaming about basketball net rankings, like what we're doing

here. So his name was Mark the young

dad and so it's stuff like that, you forget You know, especially

show like this, or like what we do at ESPN a little, like, the

long-form stuff. People get to know you, they get

to know your, you know, your life in and what gets you up in

the morning? What keeps you up late?

Frankly, and my kids are at the top of that list for sure.

So it was a man that was not a humble brag with, just a

humbling moment that this Dad came in and it was awesome.

I mean, it was really, it was really like, I mean, I'll talk

about that. It'll be years, I'll tell us

your tears for the first time. We went to the track together.

After really get the word, this show got three getting popular

and we've got people I'm not as a Churchill Downs and wanting to

meet us and seeking us out which was kind of just kind of weird

to like I guess I just I know people listen because we totally

got our numbers and all that kind of stuff.

But at the same time you're always kind of shocked about the

amount of people that listen Hurley you know and but it is I

didn't because honestly I just take it it's like I'm having a

conversation with the three of you.

All are the two of you all. There's three of us.

Two more one plus two is three but the Mike does math.

That's the name of this one. Plus two is three.

Is 3 1 + 2 is 3 but yeah I mean it was It was kind of cool.

It was it was cool to see all the people who want to come out

and see It'll we had we get we got to be with Luigi a to for a

little bit. So there was like a big blue

royalty, which is awesome. And unfortunately Louie dampier

got into a little car, acts on the way to the, to the

restaurant. He was so casual about it to

people, we got rear-ended, we got reread it.

I got out. The woman was like, I don't have

any insurance. What are you gonna do?

And he was like, oh no. No, he's like, okay, see you

later. Like Just lead a thing.

Yeah, that's what he did. So, you know, the beautiful

thing, I mean, like, because of that deal that I brokered Louie

dampier, you had a free lunch today about that and now here's

the problem is that the people who are UK fans or like, you

know, sit around with things, you autograph me one of your

pictures. Oh yeah, you know, leading a

coming now, Louie dampier played at the University of Kentucky.

And on restaurants team that team that lost to Texas Western.

Have you seen the movie Glory Road?

You know, he played on that 66 Kentucky team 60 years before I

was even born he was playing college basketball and I had

someone come up and said, would you sign my basketball?

Ha ha, ha. I watched a nissel think about

not signing a guys basketball because Rick Pitino had already

signed it. I don't like I watched him pause

because I've been around a little bit.

He'd never turns down a picture, a handshake, an autograph.

He's just one of those guys. He just doesn't do it.

Yeah? Right.

No, but he saw that ball and the next line down was where he was

going to sign. It was next to Rick Pitino.

So like if that person is listening, you've got

memorabilia that probably nobody else has look at.

That's probably it. I mean, because he gave that

ball All a look like, yeah. I don't know about that

different man, that's great. Oh yeah, cool.

Like this guy had like Joe had on one page of autographs.

He had de nesle Joe DiMaggio and not a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

autograph but a Lew Alcindor. See, how about that?

What same page. Dude, all it was.

It was like, like, construction paper with things, like old

scrapbook is what? Yeah, with with things like

literally clear tape to it. Like, that's what it was like.

I was like, Oh, I thought you guys might want to see it's who

you wanna come see this and I'm, like, packing up the equipment.

I'm like, what is in this book? Fifty thousand dollar book on

this bitch is sitting in this restaurant Louisville.

My God, but now those are fun. The remotes are fun because you

do, you forget, you know, this show the radio show the stuff

that That number one people listened, but number two, the

people can act right and and that they come back because what

they want to hang out. And I mean the idea that someone

hangs out with me 10 hours a week or, you know, gets yelled

at by yourself or 10 hours a week, whatever it is, you know,

is pretty ridiculous. Come on, no the listeners.

And so the it's it's fun man. And that Dan has become part of

the show has been one of the very best developments to, in

the last six, right? We're trying to get in here for

Derby. Yeah, you're done.

So the so then Louis gets invited.

Tonight, because I guess Dan's wife didn't want to go to this.

So the 1978 content again at first off, going back to that

scrap book. Did you collect baseball cards

or anything like that? Zach has a kid.

Like where are you at any of that stuff?

It's hard for our generation. I can't think of anyone in my

life. That didn't collect something

like that. I did.

Yeah, baseball cards. I did.

Oh that's yeah, that's what I was.

That's a that's an actual like, I mean, it's heavy.

This is a coaster that came from the 50 year old bourbon.

So they got a bourbon It was still in the barrel when they

played in one, their 78-year, their 78 championship and they

blended it with a new five-year whiskey.

And they're selling the bottles for a mere 9 1978 dollars.

And so, I got a ticket tonight to that.

That's where that's why I have a necktie.

And because that's where I was, and that's why we're starting at

9:00. Instead of 8:00 feel like

lending 50 year. Old whisky with a five year old

whisky is like buying Pappy Van Winkle to mixed with Coke but I

don't know. You be surprised.

There's a lot of character in five-year-old whiskies and

sometimes it is hard to drink a fifth year old whisky.

You'd be. So yeah, it's just way too Oaky

way too much needed. The corn influence of the bog

roll together, but I think so I give you a 12-year know that 12

your get Sookie though. I mean, once you start that the

oakiness really sorry, talk to the process.

It made a lot of sense. By the time they were done

talking to the process. I'll say that.

Yeah, certainly not. And that's one of the reasons

why I like when people say oh I had you know, I really want that

23 year, old Pappy or whatever else.

It's like for me that sweet spot is like 8 to 12 years, 110

proof. Yep.

That's where you had the perfect balance of the Corn and the

barrel. I think the best Pappy's the

13-year. I actually would say that that's

the tenure. Okay, the Old Rip, I love that

old rip and or if it's the same thing as well or 107, if you can

get that same exact I do like antique.

Well, that's very good. Yes so yeah just That's kind of

weird. That what are you drinking right

now with Louis, I grabbed. Yeah, would you come over to my

bourbon shop and grab grabbed a bra?

Actually was a lesser, I had had in a minute so the actual very

first ever bourbon Society pick? No no first.

I pick but Barrel release five Peerless by girls like that Mike

when they came out. Number one, got it.

No, it's very good. I've there's and the gosh help

me Mike the four-year ride that I really like The will it?

Yes, thank you. The Willa try is mmm for like,

50, 60 bucks. The Willett ride might be my

favorite bottle was in. You like me like Rosalind.

I do like cries a lot. Yeah, you're right.

That's why we're doing with Marilyn chose.

Get that right now. There's the other thing too long

on the route in Virginia, but you really do the real whiskies

are almost better at the 45 than they are at the 18 year.

Oh, no question. This is a two-year Ryan, it's

excellent. Yeah.

Right now. That's exactly right.

Yes. And that's why you saw a lot of

bourbon starting to introduce the rise because they need to

put some products on the shelves.

Running out of bourbon and bourbon takes eight years.

I mean you know you gotta give it time.

You gotta go time. Got let's get some replays.

We're finally getting into these 20-point races Mike.

You don't tell what kind of luminaries were you around

tonight? Like you know, just a Kentucky.

I look like it actually was like a, like a bingo hall like, you

know, you all were getting ready to play.

Bingo or we are on the fourth floor of the Fraser, so watch

your mouth. And so Goose was there.

Of course, I now have a relationship with Goose Givens.

I figured a humble brag and No, I talked to him on the radio

like every three weeks or something.

And no he what I like is goose talks about because Goose was

the first black Superstar at UK. He really was 41 points in the

title. Game scores 2,000 points, grew

up a 10-minute, walk from Kentucky, but even until his

senior year assumed, he was going to go have to play at

Kentucky State at the HBCU because he wasn't gonna be able

to play UK. And this is a guy by the way in

his 60s just walking around kind of a cool reminder, you know,

especially now look it's 500, s Black History Month.

Goose is a good good reminder that that wasn't that long ago.

And you saw in my office, he's grandmother was a slave.

Grandfather was grandfather, do not great-grandfather was a

slave and she was there today. That woman has helped us with

our house twice and she's I mean just hanging out because the

office next to you. And so these things are not so

far away. She subleases it from yeah,

right. Yeah.

And and so, you know, Kyle Macy was there.

I met Kyle Macy. Talk to him for a little bit, he

coached at East EKU, if you remember him, and in recent,

Eight years more hitting coach EKU, was it Moorhead?

Sorry. Go ahead.

Yeah. And then, um, and then Rick

Robey was there. And so the three of them were

there hanging out Dan actually was the emcee tonight to really,

really nice job. It is amazing to watch three

guys who won a title including a guy like Goose Givens, who

scored two thousand points was, the man was the best.

What if outside of Bill Walton probably the best performance in

a title game ever and 32? And yeah, 41, and he's kissing.

He's kissing the Man for ASL. I mean it's unbelievable to

watch. Its he has it's unbelievable and

it I'm glad I'm going to those events because I'm understanding

who Dan is to people much much more because to Me, dance

problem. Is he was 20 years before his

time. Oh, he's he was Larry Bird

before Larry Bird. Yeah, right.

And actually, maybe even if it was just 10 years later, just a

difference that would make in the average person, who Dan is

what I've learned. When I've learned hanging out

with Dan and going out and doing these things is Dan is way too,

humble about what? Of player.

He was, and he gives way too much credit to how good his

teammates were when he retired. Three guys, that scored more

professional points than him than their names.

Are Kareem Wilt. Chamberlain and dr.

J. Yeah.

No. I don't want to hear about it.

And so you know Dan they're kissing the ring for a reason.

The guy's unbelievable and the fact that you know, and then

when you re Artis Gilmore Jacksonville, was able to take

him out, just speaks to artists who I mean like that kind of

stuff. So, just a remarkable when you

think that he's Kentucky's all-time leading scorer with no

three-point line, any only play Three years.

Three seasons. Yeah.

Because he couldn't and no one's getting close to it.

Yeah, right. Yeah.

All right. We'll go on to some replays and

we're going to start, we start with Southwest Stakes because

that's really the one that I want to see because I'm telling

you right now, this is our Derby winner.

Of course, I guess top of the crate Not in order.

Well, I just think that were, you know, is that Southwest what

we're seeing is that we're going with you?

Yeah, we're gonna go. All right, let's do it.

Why don't you make a show sheet? I don't love this one.

That's what I'm saying. I just want to make sure because

this performers here are the two off.

The top of the turn Arabian Night, all lengths in front of

frosted departure and second here is red Route.

One erupting from the back of the pack but he is still six

lengths behind this front running.

Favorite Arabian night and now he's foreign front.

Red route. One might get second.

He will not win the Southwest. That winner is Arabian night.

So Louis when we sleep in night 1 by on Breeders Cup Saturday,

when the weather the wind conditions were freaking crazy

and the two-year-old day was the day before, obviously I think

both of us watch that race and realize that we saw the best to

roll of the weekend. When Arabian Night won his

Maiden race at Keeneland in the undercard that sounds, right?

The other part is though that we have to acknowledge he's an

off-track horse, if we get fast from, you know, good conditions,

he's not going to win. I mean, he's just going to get

down horses. I've kidding, Michael choose,

you don't win no matter what, all right, so um, no, he's very

good. What else you want me to say

about him? Well, I mean, I think the fact

that he went out on to turn to the first time in a sloppy track

and instill, Pulled away. I mean they didn't touch them

and they just showed him the Whip.

And I mean, yeah, I mean, I don't think disability when it

begins was outstanding. I don't want to say they're not

outstanding at this point. You're playing up this LeConte

field like it matters. And instant coffee is a he's a

great three winner going forward.

I think I agree with that. I think that sounds about,

right? And I kind of feel the same way

about honestly about the two races that we're looking at this

weekend. I don't really know if there's a

superstar in any way. These two races that we're going

to see and it's a shame. I think there's a potential we

see we've seen these two races produce superstars in the past.

Yes. But usually we have to wait for

the Derby to get it. Yes, I agree though the the

Florida Derby. Scuse me try to clarify there.

Yeah I do think though if Cyclone Mischief shows up and

like balls out this weekend yeah talking about we're talking

about a couple different story lines to the first is we've got

that first in a Mischief that's like holy bleep.

We're seeing something here. The second is a Dell Romans

angle, man because he has not been good in this class for a

while nine percent last year. R winners.

Overall, you know this, this feels like a Redemption type

horse for a guy like Dale Romans if he can show up this weekend

in the Holy but we'll get to that later.

But you know this this this was the white a Barrio race last

year, he wins the Florida. Derby doesn't win a grade one

after that. Mrs. The cigar mile by less of

the like so it's not like he's you know not not been doing them

you know performing well or anything like that.

I think what a Barrio will have a fine four-year-old season

everyone needs to drink if you listen to the beginning of the

show. I'm like any horse in that race.

So okay we'll get there but yes it's um you know, I think that

there's With this is Arabian. Lion.

Yes, my getting that right Arabian Night is who you thought

winter. Maybe night is is in Raven Lions

around this weekend. Got it, you know, Arabian night.

I think you could look at that performance and say that's the

best three-year-old going, frankly.

He reminds me of hoosier Philly and that's a massive compliment

coming from me because I'm super high on who's your family.

And so, ya know, as far as we've seen in Colts this year, three

year, olds going to turns where he's never gone through turns.

He loved the extra distance and that's, I mean, all those things

are good. Indicators that he's going to be

fine, going for it for sure. I agree.

All right, so let's move on to the other, Martha, Washington

up. Now, what do you got of Zach?

Would you gotta right? Let's go watch the Martha

Watkins because that's what the show sheets as Mike.

Sure. Okay, the world is different for

you. Now, three wide Olivia twice.

Does that the rail and defining purposes between horses and

defining purpose? As put a head in front?

Taxed is going with her. Oh Livia, twist has dropped out,

wet paint dry. Within two and a half of the

lead, final Furlong defining purpose and taxed defining

purpose of neck, wet paint now within two lengths of the lead

and coming on taxed defining purpose and wet paint and here's

wet paint to fly to the front. Of course, Louis came with the

the dad joke right off the bat with wet paint one.

But go ahead fly to the front. He had so many hits and she

flies to the front. It's better than watching paint

dry. Like there's a lot of

opportunities here. I so that race and we've gotten

some great winners out of that race.

Exactly. Like the inner a Bells?

Yeah, well let even last year. What was that?

Eager to secret oath. Yes, you could go, faster.

Thank you. And we'll see you here before,

finish, third in the Oaks. I, I think the second and third

place horses in that race are the ones that are more likely to

have success later on because I think that they're going to

figure it out. Phillies are a little more

stubborn that way that I think white paint like soft racks.

I think that's what she is. And so, if the conditions do

change, you know, I think the other two was a taxed and it was

departure. I think those two horses are

more likely to come back in a better vein of form going

forward. The other thing, by the way, is

It's fun when horses win and wet conditions and then they show up

at the Oaks in it. Rains I have to remind everyone.

That Hoosier Philly has run in all of those conditions at one

and all of them. So it's not like that's going to

affect her at all going forward. And so for me, she's still at

the top of the ocean rankings. Hoosier Philly.

By the way, just to kind of give some perspective, the Martha

Washington for the longest time was a mile race.

And they just recently last year, stretched out to the

mound. 16th Wetpaint won that race to agree that race to full

seconds faster than what secret Rosa, Marina, the year before,

thank you. So that could have been a pretty

good. That that to your point of the

second third horse is going forward.

That could have been a really deep race fulfill.

He's right there in that and and that she just might like it Off

Track night. Maybe That's where her / what

number is better than her, you know, her fast, number whatever

might be in. So I think there's more of a

chance of that than anything else.

I like it when they're wet and fast.

Oh, I'm nodding, I'm sorry, this is a digital audio media my

papa. Yeah.

Okay, alright, let's go ahead. Let's move on to the next race.

I mean check the show she because this is what we're

supposed to do la. Virgen is, how do you say that?

Louie, the last virgin is, well, as emerging is, this probably

know, how do you say we go ahead in California?

The last Virgin last Virgin of virgins in fast.

Show us the virgin's on way, girls drops out on the inside of

uncontrollable, they Turn from sweet trouble and phase on the

outside phases. Sweet trouble hanging tough.

They passed the eighth pole together.

And prior to the nihilist to behind phases, they come from

its phase in front. Once again, has to fend off

Pride of the Nile phases. Still loaded Pride of the Nile,

trying hard phaser Pride of the Nile phase 0 wins.

The last virgin asunder Ramon Vasquez prior to the Nile was

second judge. All right, we got phase though

was wondering. One in that race went off.

As the favorite dinner thing. Is that a?

Is that a horse? You're going to keep an eye on

it is absolutely. Two turns in California on the

Oaks Trail under Bob, baffert has absolutely horse as a youth

field for Cowboys six horses. I mean, they it was three gates.

I I do. I do actually think that's a

repeatable performance for her. I feel bad for Ramon because

he's not going to have that amount for much longer.

That's a nice feeling and Johnny V butter, but swoop in just

swoop, in my dream. I have a pretty good, pretty

good, pretty good. He might have a really good

spring. It's swoop.

Swoop on take it, take it. Of course that is a bob baffert

Philly. So we've got to kind of see what

happens and then, yeah, I do ex not really on the short the show

sheep, but we had a bob baffert citing today and the level by 1

Prime Sherry missile who Man, there's like 30 people that

listen to the radio show and listen to this show.

That got that joke but 30 like that's okay.

Literally a little less than three dozen.

Yeah. What maithili phases and are

phases in Arabic word? That means successful.

So that's probably good name for the doors.

So here we got Paisa fayza and we're backwards trying to fight

for his right to run the horses trying to get that injunction

Louis. Any thoughts on that?

It sounds like today was a lot longer of a proceeding than what

they were expecting. I think they're surprised

they're going to second day tomorrow I with that whole

thing. The longer it goes, the more I'm

convinced baffert will be here in May and we're going to be

walking around his barn. Part of that is hunch.

Part of that is I do think if you read the rules and scrub

them down the injection versus the topical matters in the rules

themselves and it doesn't matter to me like don't put

betamethasone on your horse if it's a zero.

Or do it in a way that you know, it's going to be out of the

system. By the time you get to the race,

whatever that is but you know, I I think you could see

realistically. Like they did in the Preakness

last year testing before the race of his horses.

And he gets to enter his horses under his name.

I could see that kind of compromise coming.

Okay. And by the way, he paid his

paid, his penalty sitting out last year.

And honest did nice horses last year, too.

I mean, those sorts of should not have finished 17th and nice

horses. But this year, he's got, he's

got 14 horses that in any given Derby year, could all be

contenders will be top five at 14, is the deepest three year

old barn. I think I've ever seen and it's

unbelievable and It's not this horse on the Filly side.

I mean to me that's the bigger discussion here.

Mike is is, is that concentration of wealth?

Good for horse racing. And and so for the big-time

stuff, probably not. But I don't you know I hear so

much about this with the rising purses around.

Kentucky Indiana, Ohio Virginia, you know New York Florida you

know even in the Delaware New Jersey man.

You could be a claiming trainer and do just fine, you can be it

allows strainer and you just fine and and so I wonder why

Steve asmussen that was waiting for that as Mustang is a

drinking rules. Well if you hear Steve's name go

ahead and drink the I just I think think that you're going to

see certain owners can afford the stud fees at a much higher

rate than other people can, SF Starlight all those guys that

have these horses. They have half of the horses in

the robber. Be Louis, by the way this

weekend, but backers got all and what they, I understand.

But what I'm saying is Starlights, got two of them.

And what I'm what I'm saying is those guys are pointing to this,

this was what matters to them in racing.

It's not having 15 horses and claiming some and letting some

going to climb. No, no.

They're trying to win the Derby period.

They're trying to win the Breeders Cup, period.

That's what they're trying to do.

With their Barns. And so for me, it's more, you

know, asking that question is the Robert B Lewis a big deal

because it's just for horses and Bob baffert.

The answer to me is no, because this is just the end result of

what we've been talking about California racing since we

started this podcast. Well, this is if you concentrate

power in a small Market with one, dude, this is what you're

going to get, right? I mean, this is like, this is

like, complaining that baseball doesn't have a salary cap in the

same four teams when the title every are writing like it's

just, you can't complain about that stuff.

That's what this is. Well, I'm at the end of the day.

This is a to mean extreme case. I mean, obviously, we're going

to, we're getting ready to run a gun.

Three points race that we're no points are going to be awarded,

because the trainer's not eligible to run his horses in

the derby at this, and there's not a fifth Horseman, right?

And there's not a fifth horse, he's got all four horses, which

is ridiculous. To me, the fact that we have a

derby prep that only has four horses and only one trainer.

And by the way, they were like 19 nominations to or not,

baffert 17 were Bedford. That's what his three-year old,

barn looks like that. This is what he does.

I mean, people have to remember that and and look we have look

and it's one of his favorite things to say to us.

Churchill's nice but it's built for one week a year baffert's

Barn is built for one week A Year John and and so I you know

I don't want to hear about it. I mean if we because more people

16 million people Watch the Kentucky Derby.

It's, it's more popular than the NBA Finals.

It just is, it's more popular than NFL games on Thanksgiving.

It just is, it's wild. It's wild and so that people are

building to that and that they're, you know, that they're

concentrating their power with the guy who's the best at it,

shouldn't be so surprising. I mean, we're talking about a

race here where great horses like hot rod Charlie didn't even

win. They should not create a race of

hydraulic leveling so hot rod Charlie Drake came in third in

this race Medina. Spirit won this race.

Maybe the Derby winner. Maybe not right now, he's not

the Derby winner. God Rest his soul.

He's the Derby winner to me, Dortmund.

I mean, we we've had this is I'll have another one this race.

We this power of the now who is the oh the Lewis, the Lewis is

an unbelievably serious race. Yes, absolutely.

Last year. I mean this is a thousand words

won this race. I mean, this is a great race in

and I it's sad for me to see it sink to a level where we have

four horses in one trainer. More likely more likely Mike

that this is a one-off or that this is the trend.

Well, I think we, I think you and I have our thinking it's

this is evidence of the trend. I mean, this seems to be

evidence of the trend Listen, we'll see what that say in Anita

Derby feels like. That's a great point.

I think the I think the outcome of the hearing tomorrow has a

huge impact on all that stuff. That's an Anita Derby though.

Some people could say is the crown jewel of all the prep

races. Oh sure.

That the Florida Derby I think. And, you know, if we're looking

at a 45 Cena, need it for five horse in Anita Derby, in

backwards, got all five horses. What do you consider the top

four? Is it is it's an Anita Florida.

Arkansas, Louisiana. I think the Arkansas Derby

actually has a little bit of, you know it.

I think it was firm. I just kind of stuck on.

I'm stuck on a pharaoh. Yeah, yeah yeah came out of

there, didn't win. Omaha Beach came out of there,

didn't run, right? Yeah, right.

So we've had some great horses and stuff like that but the I

honestly think the Florida Derby and the scene Anita are no

question, the best indicators who can win the Derby told her.

Yeah, and I just think as far as sought out races their head and

shoulders above those other three.

If you include the Bluegrass in that because as you know, the

Bluegrass has not been a good predictor lately but it's still.

Yeah. On the, on the Filly side, it is

for the Oaks, but it's not on the male side here, right?

Yeah, that's for sure. And the Jeff Ruby Stakes, I mean

the third place winner wins the Derby last year.

I don't anticipate that happening again this year, but,

you know, and the wood is just not been a good predictor for a

while. Just hasn't, it's just the

nature. That race.

It was a who say, gee Pegasus last winter.

That's come out of New York. Write something like that 2000.

So that's, and I don't even know if he ran in the wood.

I just know. He ran in the rain in the

withers, I think so. Yeah.

And so it's a me. Yeah, I'm with you.

I think if you're doing and I was get in trouble for this, you

know, talking about Major League races and, you know, single a

double a, triple A whatever, you know, of the outside of

three-year-old races, at Churchill.

And at Saratoga, I do agree with you that this, that the Santa

Anita Derby, Derby. Is it man?

I'm with yeah I mean it's right. It's it definitely isn't.

Yeah. The so the last let's see I'm

looking here. You know, those the wooden

world's produce great horses, like tacitus, who she actually

pigs did win in 2000? Yes.

Okay, he won the wood and then won the Derby.

Got it. Okay.

All right, I'll slice on them. Yeah.

Now the here, which is funny and I want to be, I want to be clear

about something. I think at some point in my

life, the wood will go on a run where it's like three out of

six. Well, turn the winners.

Here's here's the interesting, though, to denote the next year.

Guess who came in second? In the wood Memorial?

One was at the Derby winner but narcos, okay.

That's one of the few. All have not unsure rink and sub

2 minute. Let's go.

Every finish your drink or two years after that.

Funny side came in. Second, the wood.

Okay, won the Derby. So there you go.

I think that'll happen again at some point.

I think eventually that Trend will shift back where you know,

Pleasures got one or Browns, got one or somebody right, where

there's that kind of shift back to it, maybe maybe Cox runs a

horse up there instead of in, you know, Fairgrounds or

something. So I just love, you know what?

I love about it like lots of stuff.

All the newer people love their winner of the Wood Memorial and

they'll talk about how great mode.

Our goal is, or whatever else, or how great early voting is and

or Vino Rosso or they love their tacitus and Beyond the day.

Like, in early voting win the Preakness.

Yeah. Well then what are you doing?

Look terrible. Come on.

Okay. All right, every field is

terrible. By the way that we're getting to

that point. With my call, the three-year-old

fields are about to be terrible. Now, I'm telling I'm excited

about this three year old bill. I think I'm You are in February.

We'll talk to you in a few. All right?

Now interestingly enough, I think this kind of goes on the

same conversation as we move on to Gulf Stream and the Holy Bull

stakes and this is a cool sequence because it's all three

year old races yes. All three year olds for straight

races. Yep.

And when we get to Holy Bull I think Holy Bull is do.

You know the history of Holy Bull is a horse.

I mean a little bit. You know, he was Champion

three-year-old. Yep.

But didn't win a single Triple Crown race, right?

Didn't only ran of the Derby. Yeah, he's epicenter, right, but

they are overrated. They swear horrible.

Silver heard. He went on.

Instead of running in the Belmont, he won the Met.

And then he went on to win the house, going one, the Traverse

and wonderful and so he wins the Met again, stoper older horses,

one the Traverse against three-year-olds, what do you do

in the Breeders Cup? You son?

Let me see what he did do in the, in the brief was, are

Breeders Cup of that point? I should proud.

I think she is there was, but the other thing was that he was

because of how they did it, he won the Florida Derby in, he

won. Um, yes.

I don't want the Bluegrass. So all four grade once I'd got

it, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So it was it was just it's he's very fascinating to me as a

horse. You know, I like these some of

these three year olds that just going to have these unbelievable

careers. Even though they just didn't

fire them Derby or whatever else happened with more.

Yeah. Yeah.

Well, yeah. Well, when were was one of the

great strengths sprinters, right?

Well, while I didn't not just flight fire in the Derby Day,

right? Yeah.

So he won the Florida Derby then, which celebrates in there.

Yeah. Right.

When 42 every Bluegrass rain in the derby but ran towards the

back met one. That one that has won the

Travers one the Woodward. But did there was no, he did not

run the Breeders Cup. If there was a score of 94,

which I got. So, what were degrade one at

that point. That's a good call.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't know that's against

older horses to. It's a lot.

Yeah, that's a hell of a year. Yeah, that's so.

And I know you and I both value that if a three-year-old can run

in the fall and Beetle their horses, how valuable that is,

let's face. It isn't a freaking Junie.

I don't know. As wild as a three-year-old.

That's that's why I sick. Yeah, that's awesome, know from

your vote, I think for both you and me, that's one of our

favorites. Is it all year long?

Love the memo but that day the Belmont is the best.

Yeah. Especially if I totally wanted

to get out of here, single drink.

All right, let's go Roberto lie. This is a great show.

By the way, I'm having your, what I thought was gonna drag a

little bit because you're back Mike.

No, yeah. All right, let's go.

You're only saying that because you're two panes over.

Let's move. Let's get, let's get going.

Let's talk about the grade three kittens Joy which is a mile.

And a sixteenth on the turf. The for three-year-olds, like

you said, all these races are three.

Also I'm not going to say that anymore.

It's 175 thousand dollar purse Louis how did you how did you

come to this race? All right so I went skinny in

race 9 here this is this is always actually a pretty good

indicator of future success. This is a big boy.

Turf raised here. I landed on candidate who's

already won at the at the track. If you throw off the sloppy win

at the beginning of his career at Laurel, he's come back.

He's run three straight to turn firm, grass races and he's one

of them. And so, increasing buyer, every

time he's run, you get Tyler at Gulfstream if people don't know

before his before his his move to Churchill and his dominance

at Churchill, he was the top guy year-round it at At Gulfstream

now, less during the championship meet, for sure.

But during the summer, I mean, I was down there and I remember

watching horses that should have been 12:48.

Go down to like, 7 to 5 because Tyler was born.

I mean that kind of stuff. Like he was the guy so he knows

the track really really well, I'll put Kennedy on top.

He did beat major dude. Last time in the Dania Beach,

I've stayed in 2nd beach before. It is very Russian.

Don't drink major dude, is the for here with Iran and Todd?

I think that you're crazy not to play those two at Gulfstream

Park. I think the two of them come

back, they repeat their form from the Dania Beach.

I think that, I think the little bit of a distance here is not at

all a problem for candidate because candidate pulled away at

the seven Furlong Mark last time out.

And then they eased them, they held him frankly in the last for

long. I think that the extra half

Furlong here is not a big deal. So I went Or I'm a pretty simple

here and they get enjoy. Alright, so there you go, 1 & 4

in the kittens joy, and we'll move on then to race 10, and

we'll go to the great three forward, gouges seven furlongs

on the dirt for three-year-old Phillies.

This is for Oaks points hundred twenty-five thousand dollars on

the line and this race. Where did you land on this one?

Yeah reminder that that the the Filly path to the Oaks is very

strange and very convoluted. So there is a lot of tutored

races that have already happened.

We're going back to seven furlongs here.

I'm a It's always confusing to me that they don't run this at a

mile and that they give it 20 Oaks points.

So forget that this is an ox prep to handicap it handicap.

It has the seven for a long race that it is at least in my mind

I'm going skinny again because I think there's some quality here.

I'm going to use three horses. I laid it on the 7 on top, so

not the favor, but I think the second favorite here, Chad

Brown, I read or t7. Second time start, excuse me,

coming out of Aqueduct is undervalued asset.

The 750-thousand dollar purchase at the kilo.

November sale daughter of spice. Town.

And when we think of speightstown, we think of

sprinters we're going seven furlongs here again.

Forget about the Oaks part of this.

I know that we want to attach all of those points and all the

things to these horses. They're not running this horse

in this race to figure out if she's an old horse.

Well, those points don't really matter to Louis.

Let's be honest, the 14 horses. Are you gonna go or the fortune

words are going to go? Plus because there's only 14,

the hunter point races dominate The Oaks true?

Yes, Dominator, because it's 100 and then it's 44.

Second place. That's double.

What you get in this race. So when you get to the The

season. That's what matters.

This horse won by an easy, eight and a quarter length at Aqueduct

over six, furlongs. Usually, if you can handle the,

the deeper track at Aqueduct, you come down to go stream.

You're just find Chad Brown, very good at doing that.

Give this horse a little bit of time off actually.

So a couple months off, he does that 21% 24%.

Graded Stakes he and he and I read have 1/10 of their first 30

runs it um, Gulf Stream the last 30 out.

And so he's there on a bit of a roll there, excuse me.

And then I did go to the three next I think that's the

favorite. If I go to my family, it is 32.

Atomic Lee is coming out of the Breeders Cup.

Juvenile fillies, where she finished seventh behind Wonder

Wheel and Wonder Wheel. Obviously, people think a lot

of, so I don't know that, that's so bad.

Lisa is aboard, then pleasure puts Jose Ortiz aboard here.

Interesting move, interesting change.

Obviously he thinks something needs to be changed about how

she's being written. Because frankly, last time she

was never a factor. And so I think she's being made

I think she's being made the favorite here in three two, one

because she's coming out of the Breeders Cup and people are just

assuming that's the best, you know, the best horses are

running in that race again. Who's your Filly didn't run in

the Breeders Cup? I think she's the best

two-year-old it ran last year. So I'm not of that opinion.

I'll have her second just because if I if a pleasure Ortiz

gets me out of a sequence, I'm I mean, what are we doing?

And then finally, the eighth in this race is red carpet.

Ready, Louise size and Rusty Arnold coming out of the Fern

Creek at church. Oz go and six-and-a-half

furlongs like wheat Fern Creek, apologize Creek Nation for all

of you listening down in the creek.

Yeah I have Zach I'm not getting they have hashtag Creek Nation

stickers for cars in this town. It's not okay and there and the

Tigers so they're orange and black it just it's not okay.

So this horse incredibly fast fractions front runner is going

to try to get out front and stay out front was with Brian and his

Junior. Before I actually I would have

kept him because I think he's the kind of guy that's like kind

of like a quarter horse, jockey if he needs to be in just get

the horse going to just go, but there's nothing wrong with

getting loose, size for them, out, for sure.

And so, I don't think that's a downgrade at all. 242 lifetime

improved. Last timeout, going that

six-and-a-half? Furlongs said for lunch today is

not going to be a problem. I'm not okay, you know that.

And so I think the stretch out by have for a long, not a big

deal here. So I went with three horses

here. I land on the 73 night Because I

know the next week we're going to get to see Wonder Wheel and

action for the first time. So you'll be great.

Yep. Who's your Filly is in two weeks

and the Rachel Alexander. Yep.

So we're starting to see some of those other top Phillies as it

soaks field starts to take shape.

You know, you know, I kind of go with Lou.

You're here, where did you put Wonder Wheel in your second and

your okay Chuck. So she didn't do anything wrong.

That wasn't what it was about. It was about the best

two-year-old I saw in person last year.

Was, who's your favorite period? It and I saw.

What are we looking at the Breeders Cup?

I thought that what I thought that who's your Filly was

better? I voted her first.

That's it. That's all it was wasn't.

It wasn't an indictment and on Wonder Wheel at all.

I just I saw a better to you. Well, you know, I broke the

group, that's it. Yep.

Alright. Alright, so we're moving on then

to the to the next race which is the sweetest chant.

Swedish chance takes the mound 16th on a three-year-old

Phillies hundred, seventy five thousand dollars here who's

going to, who's gonna get Swedish chant there Louis.

So this is a more wide open race than I think other ones are.

And and so I went eight, seven, nine one and two here.

So I think there's a 12 to 1 shot in here.

That has a serious chance and that's the nine Stephanie's

charm. So Stephanie's charm last time I

lost by a half-length to Cairo concert whose two to one in this

race. So I'm not quite sure other than

the connections, how a horse finishes second.

By half a length to a horse and is 6 times the money.

So to me, that's a that's stands out.

So heavily to me. Stephanie's charms got a serious

shot here and so look for her. I think just if that number

stays double digits, that's kind of a fun place.

Kind of bad to me for sure. The eight horse though 7li

Sunday. I'm going to land on here 12:55

Tyler and Brad. This is actually a horse that

broker broker Maiden at Indiana and then moved to Keeneland and

immediately one first time out against open company and to me

if you can make that Kind of transition where okay, you win

in Indiana by seven. That's nice.

But you go to Keeneland, you lose the Lasix by the way, when

an allowance company, high-level allowance hundred thousand

dollar loans company by open Lakes of floor, rajguru, get

Tyler here at Gulfstream. I love that move.

I think that is absolutely the play here.

I do have Cairo consort in the second spot.

Here rain in the ginger Brew one at last time, beating

Stephanie's charm. The nine.

So I went 879 there, I think the one in the two here are also

placed sweet lose got Aces. Is the one speed figures make

sense here. One last time in the Teppan

going, a mile over kind of wet grass at Aqueduct.

The reason I mention that is, it's probably going to rain on

Saturday. It Hallandale Beach.

And so, if the grass is a little bit soft, you might see someone

like sweet lose Grace's, really like it.

And at go go on a literally get to the front, stay out front

kind of run and that would be that horse there which I think

is one of the Year where rains like every day for like 15

minutes. And that's no, that's right.

And and what I'm saying is if it rains enough That it goes from

firm to good. That might be your horse.

That might be at a 45 to one kind of price that you get your.

Well go out front. Stay out front and just win the

race for, for trainer a handle. And then I'm going to include

the to Padma. We watched Junior Alvarado with

the ride of the week on our collector.

I mean, just a perfect stocking job and then and just took off

in the in the stretch ran to the cashier and last time lost it,

if in a Diamond by a couple links, At Gulfstream Park here.

So has, has experienced over the dirt.

There's trying Turf for the first time Bill Mott, not a

great number at 9% go in terms of dirt.

But all of the other numbers with this horse, makes sense,

he's really, really good off of this type of lay off.

I'm trusting the trainer here and I'm trusting the jockey

trainer combination at 19 percent that they're going to

get something done here. This might be a little bit of me

having watched our collector come on home with Junior

Alvarado aboard, but I went 887. Oh my gosh, 8 7, 9 12 in this

race. Sorry, all right, there you go.

So yeah, I do like the the mod G nerado but I like it more in the

next race on Rocky. Can so here we go with the Holy

Bull Stakes again, this is one of those, I don't know.

This is to me is one of those are just really great 20-point

races. I think we start to see a lot of

these right now. We've had Y tu Barrio, like

you've mentioned Won this race last year.

Tis the law audible, whose we actually had a conversation at

lunch about audible hidden, right?

So Irish war cry, won this race mohim wide Barrio natural.

Just some great horses have come through and won this race.

It's interesting because you see in this race Louis and I don't

know if it's going to be the case here.

Going to vary came in second in this race who, you know, we link

the big Kimberly. But when I do a fine career, I

mean he ran in huge spots after. Absolutely sure.

Yeah. Historically in this race, you

see horses, split, we're half this field is going to go

forward to it every way laughs going to go to the wood and kind

of decide, you know. True.

Yeah. That East Coast route.

Yes, right? Yep.

So to me this is where you start to really kind of see how the

routes everyone's trying to find out what their best route to get

to Churchill Downs. And you start to see how horses

are going to get placed And so this gets really interesting and

like you mentioned before Dale, Romans got the favorite here and

we haven't seen that. We haven't.

I mean, Dale, Romans is not being good and stakes races.

What would you say it was over? Last 17?

Yeah, and it's been a, it's been a while.

He had his me runners in stage races, usually does either

cracked. All right, here's what I'll say.

Who's the winner last year? This race, which race did he

finish third in coming into this race?

Let's see. He finished.

Third behind run-happy. The Jockey Club.

Correct? What?

It's Like on this chakra. Then smash it.

What it up? What?

It's Like on the Strip running. In the past year against a, the

Kentucky, who won that race, the winner of the Kentucky, Jockey

Club. I have no idea.

Instant coffee. What it in some coffee, just do

it. Just one, his One little comment

what you just told me is a really good race.

It's a good field K, less than three lengths behind him in that

race. Was cyclo Mischief at Churchill

Downs. Came back immediately comes to

Gulfstream. Park runs over the mile track

wins by 5 and 3/4 length immediately.

I'm singling Cyclone Mischief here and it is I get it.

That's a gamble because it's it is Dale.

Romans recently not good. I understand it.

I get all of it if I'm right. By the way about this sequence,

Tyler got the only ones gonna make some money on Saturday,

it's hell. I think that there's a chance,

you're all of the connections by the way, that makes sense.

Bernardini mayor into Mischief, dad.

All that stuff makes sense. If you want another horse, I

know you're going outside with rocket can.

The oh we hadn't really heard of him before horse in this race is

Lord miles who lost by less than the length under Ed Garcia's.

The one horse here in the mucho Macho, Man over a mile at

Gulfstream Park. That's a Safi.

Joseph picking up. I read in this race and that's

never an accident. You never, you never overpay for

a jockey by accident, son of curl in Majestic Warrior mayor.

This to me, is the kind of horse that you haven't heard about it

before, but it gets really good in the spring.

So, if I was using another horse, I would go for one here

but for purposes of my ticket, I'm going to try to single here.

Keep the price down. I'm probably going to play a $1

pick for here of these races because I'm in the fifteen

dollar range right now on a 50 Cent tickets.

I'll probably just play one dollar thirty dollar pick for

and and to be fair your your pig is Cyclone.

Bishop is the only hoarseness field that's coming off a win,

which I start to really start start to pay attention to that.

Now that there are three year olds, I don't care if they lose

is a two-year-old. I wanted Legacy aisle.

Was dq'd out of a win. I think that's worth mentioning

because when horses are running so that was you know, January

23rd. So that's a horse, just quote

unquote, turned three, right? So to me, that's more I want to

write. I want to give Legacy and that

was at church at excuse me, a Gulfstream.

I want to give Legacy, I'll credit for that.

Lou sighs. Picks up them out there from

Amarillo. I think that there's absolutely

something there. I'm just going with the horse

that I've watched. In the Kentucky Jockey Club, be

right there and then come in a big field by the way and nine

horses, come back in a six-horse field and absolutely blow people

away. And I think in an eight horse

field here at a Gulfstream, can get a good trip and Tyler can do

a good job. Well, I think what my point was

going to be is that typically this is a great three and this

is a great three, you know? Yes right.

Yeah, right? Yeah, typically, I think a lot

of times the holy pool, it's been a great three, but it's

really probably been especially in hindsight.

It's been, it's been full of immigrated to at least horses.

You know, I think there's a chance that Once again this

year, by the way, because I think even a cyclone, Mischief

can win, but then we see Lord miles come back in the in the

Florida Derby or you know, your rocket can come back in the wood

or something like that. Like I think that's still, I

think I still very much on the table.

Well, I like this field. I want to be clear, but when

people are going to use a bunch of horses because of all the

reasons that I just gave the best thing, you can do a single.

So, part of that, then if we got, by the way, my sequence is

going to be in the sheet in Green Sheet.

Oh, yeah, I guess we should mention our sponsor Ichiro.

Racing.com. They are on the screen.

But if you're listening audio, Lee retracing.com look, man.

It's five bucks. I mean go try it out.

You know, if you're in Louisville, go to your local

store, pick one up, they do a great job over there.

Green Sheet racing.com. Alright so my question to you

then will you in the show on this cycle emissions right now

to 21 Are you thinking that the those odds are going to get a

little bit longer? The horse?

Can definitely be 522 sure. Yeah, because the connections I

Reds on the lawn and you know Pleasures name is on another

horse and our pleasure is not in this race.

Excuse me, that was a little surprising that you know, Legacy

aisle with Louisa Rocky cans, got that bill, my junior Oliver

Otto thing. Who is Jose on this race shadow

dragon that's interesting. Yes that's better bill by.

Hmm. So yes son of army mule.

I don't know that. I've seen a son of army mule in

a great three before I would say that Mom is a daughter of

Medallia door. Oh that's wild.

Okay. Alright.

Okay so you know I agree with you.

I think you could even be maybe a 3 2 1.

Yeah. Right.

Right. So all right, but the best thing

that happened to me last week was that freaking art collector

was like 16 to 1? It's the biggest bed.

I place this year and that includes like, pick force that

race is becoming so irrelevant. That's not even funny.

You want to talk about that? I mean, we can, I just feel

like, I mean, it's like becoming like the old-timers game and,

you know, but, you know, before the All-Star game like I think

that that race is just going to be here to hear about whether

you care about it or not because I feel is going to be what it is

you know it the year the gun Runner runs in it.

It's awesome. Right.

But don't you think it's it's gradually.

East. It's not like there's a trend in

the Arabian. Peninsula races have have

diminished was that Royce used to get cracked?

Yes absolutely. Yep, if you can run for 20 or 30

million dollars, that's different than running for

three. It just goes Zach next week.

We're not. We're going to be with that

Louis. I'm here next week so it's a

week after. Yeah, that's right.

Okay, that's right. You're not doing the Radio Show

in next week. How you do it?

That's right. I gotta do this week after that.

Okay. I just want to make sure.

All right, so we'll have to wanted some good, you know, good

fun guess. Maybe we'll have this long

without Louis that would be kind of fun.

That's Ali a good idea actually. He would do it.

He loves it in the show. Yeah, I agree.

Maybe your worst date ever. Is that where is that Mike's?

First take over exact, by far shirtless Islam?

Beautiful. Do you know how many people I've

had? Multiple people come up to me

and say, you need to figure out a reason to be shirtless before

Derby. Yeah.

Because of Issel. I absolutely know.

It's those episodes. Those are so silly.

But they work man, I love being silly.

All right guys, we're showing up so excited.

Absolutely. And then Mike knows with his

shirt on. I mean, might be better.

What are we doing? Thanks for listening.

By the way. Shout out to Mike, Mike Mills

might begin to call to you because actually I think that's

a good idea. It was great when he's got him

on. By the way, shout out to Texas

their broadcasts and their bedding is going national.

No. It's it is huge.

What we don't need to happen is Texas, racing to go away.

That is not we talk and Mike you know I you and I joke about

California racing, we joke about stuff.

L.a. needs to be a star in the Sports.

San Diego needs to be a star in this sport, Texas, frankly needs

to grow and be better in a star in this sport where the

population centers are in this country.

Need to be Stars by the way. That's why Arlington Park

closing sucks. It's not that the facility is

awesome. It's Chicago.

Yeah, but there's a big difference to me but because you

got fine. But what I'm saying is look from

a weather standpoint fine but the reason it sucks is because

of Chicago and nine million people have to go to Hawthorne

and that Come on. That's, that's why it sucks.

We need saying, they need to be great.

We need Delmar to be great. We need Sam Houston, those

tracks down there to be great. I mean that's that's an absolute

the centers of racing right now are in Louisville and outside of

Miami and in Queens, I don't know, I don't know what it is,

it is bizarre. I talked to share a little bit

about that when he was on and and because he took me to task

about my major league tracks and non major league tracks.

And that's because people out there leather saying I need it

and it's I get it, but when your biggest race feed someone else's

biggest, race is what it is. But no.

I I will say because I think Pacific Classics the most

important thoroughbred racing California.

The it's a huge deal to Texas. Huge.

The, the Texas move because we again, if the courts going to be

viable, long-term the second most populous state in this

country needs to have a viable racing scene is that this is not

even. By the way, to anyone's

listening in Texas, that gets to make any decisions.

Let people bet on their freaking phones.

You claim to love Liberty assholes.

Let people bet on their phones, come on Zack, tired of this

crap, not tired of those b bs man.

It's unbelievable. The idea that I got our guy Mike

is driving to the The track to place bets, I can walk into a

gun store, literally buy a gun, right off the counter price, but

I'm not trusted as an adult to bet on horse, who dollar win bet

on a horse here, right? Yeah, thanks taxes.

Thanks. All right, let's pay the tab.

Let's get out of here. Let's take Leo, like the weather

in Texas is it's right? Yes.

Yes. You get enough rain to keep the

grass going right in and that's all you need, frankly.

Frankly, they could go Turf just spring and fall and have dirt

all summer and be fine. Nah, bothers me.

And so I'm glad they're back and running because that's we don't,

we don't need markets going away.

We need markets to flourish and that's a market that we need to

flourish if anything if anything stands out to me the last few

years it is that Minneapolis has become a horse racing City,

because the Canterbury they are crushing it up there.

People show up like crazy. And you know who showing up

students from the University of Minnesota?

Yeah. Young people freaking love it.

They have a college night there, and they kill it.

And that I'm just telling you, There are models around this

country. I know I don't people are tired

of hearing about it. You go to Horseshoe Indianapolis

and it's awesome. It is so accessible people in

the middle of Indiana. Love that place.

We need more of those, we need more of that, and we need to

figure it out. I love by the way, they're doing

during Derby week. They're doing 50 Tuesday now,

and they move Champions day to Wednesday.

Five bucks to get in on that Tuesday.

All right, that's it, man. That's what I'm talking about.

If you can't afford therapy, you can't afford Oaks.

That's okay. Watch it on TV, I get it man.

Dollars to get in. And that's what I'm talking

about. Figure it out.

That's the kind of stuff. Just get people get people, the

door. People will fall in love when

they pedal horse, when they're up against the rail, I'm gone

baby. Don't worry.

All right, I'm like, I'm gonna go with needless risk Merchant

here, but the MLS can pull off what they've done over the past.

Decade. Horse-racing can do it by the

way, they're about to expand. The nwsl women's soccer, two

teams are about to pay a 50 million dollar franchise fee.

Wow, Texas. Could figure out raising.

All right, let's pay the tab. Let's get out of here.

We'll see you next week. This has been the horse-racing.

A goose. Kevin's the goat
