Happy hour with the opening the beer by the airpot, I guess.

No. By the way, no way that Those

are actual are pods. They're generic knockoff are

pods, are they not know? They were real, but the only

reason they're real is because they're my wife's.

Okay, there you go. Because I know that Louis is not

doing, like there's no chance of Louis is springing for earpods

unless they were free, correct? Yeah.

No. Oh yeah.

Gift in a Bluetooth guy. Headphones right here that I

have on right now. I'm speaking to the microphone,

and I usually have my nice headphones, but my nice

headphones in the car because I don't want to forget him when I

go to the ESPN radio show, that I'm filling in for Louis from 10

to noon on Eastern town with. You want to check that out but I

want to make sure I don't forget those headphones, but these

headphones, if they go through the washing machine, I don't

care. They're fine Adrian, thank you

for joining us. Have you ever had a pair of

earbuds go through the washing machine actually?

Yeah, my letter. Through the washing machine and

no longer works. And if I have it in my ear, my

phone calls connect automatically to the left one.

So my ear pods are just garbage at this point.

Yeah, it's the worst. It is the absolute worst feeling

to realize that you put your ear pods to the washing machine.

It wasn't even a probably like the washer probably would have

been fine but I just sent him right through the dryer too.

And I think I just had him for like two weeks and I like

Splurge. I was like oh my God I'm getting

a big girl gift. No.

Every proliant regular know, the regular ones.

I'm not splurging for the pros. The pros are nice.

I'm not gonna lie and I've lost them installs to.

They have this handy feature with actually beep.

If you lose them, they'll beep. And you can find them.

But they get buried under straw. And I have had to use that

function. It is the modern-day needle in a

haystack. It's the are pod in hair side,

and hey, stop here, pot in a stock.

So, Louis is down in Puerto Rico.

So, my big question for Louis is number one.

What are you smoking? So these are I just bought him

at the guy on the street and he just had a couple of different

varieties. So I just bought a like a

sampler, but these are extra Maduro because I knew I would

have to share them with you. And if I bring anything that

isn't material back, you're not going to smoke it so they go

that's what I think there it is. What are you drinking up?

Puerto Rican. Filler with a Brazilian rapper.

They're actually very good and not a sound bar make up there

but the local go to Here is made by yellow light.

It is very generic and I mean Super generic it.

Is it made by enhance aggressive that I mean that's how bad this

is and so it's it's just don't like that.

Oh, it's worse than Keystone but People would you you watch your

mouth? I have not it's on my list to

go. So I've never been there either.

So last question, about Puerto Rico, for Louise, how many

people when you walk out to in, are waiting for the most

American like, you know, Tha clothes and Loud because you've

no way this guy speak Spanish and then, you know, the shock

and amazement on the person when you speak perfect Spanish to

them and I speak Caribbean Spanish, in fact, solo que o, my

bags are being Spanish, not just regular, you know, but I bring

this up. Spaniards laugh at me.

It would be like learning English in Alabama.

That's what I'm getting at, right?

Yeah. It's be like that.

And so, it's, that's kind of okay.

So, it's like that. You actually haven't used it on

the racing side as much as we probably could tap into it,

though. I have promised Darwin be Sky up

and Ira that I would have. We would do a spanish-language

episode this year and I'll have him on and I'll have one Carlos

on them. Will have all those guys out,

and we'll just do it. And I'll out intro, things and

then get out of the way. It's exactly what my plan is on

that show. But no, it's been, it's been

nice. You know, actually, I've been

more surprised people aren't surprised that I speak Spanish.

Really I think more people are actually learning at that are my

age and younger, that kind of thing.

So more people show up at least with some fluency, I do.

Get some looks like, oh, that's how we say that to?

I'm a little surprised that you don't see the essence on the

ends of words and you don't do this.

And, you know, that the ours turn into Ells in certain spots

above all the yes. No, it's good.

Okay. Well, you know, should we

introduce that Adrian actually is, since 95 percent of people

that follows podcast, listen to me.

Wow. I mean yeah, let's let's talk

Toto. One.

Who Adrian is go for Louis I mean Adrian.

So you got it. tell us I mean you're a name that I'm just

getting used to because I don't think I follow You can very long

and racing, what are you up to? And let your background before

landing at Fairgrounds. So actually, I'm a, I'm an

assistant trainer for Sheree. Devoe sure.

He's my sister. I exercise ride whenever I'm

needed. I actually just had hip surgery

so that's what landed me with Kevin asking me to, you know, we

came on the show one day and it just kind of rolled from there

at the fairgrounds handicapping side.

So that was really fun because it's actually not something I

ever thought I'd want to do. And I come from a harness racing

background. So I used to play like the

harness horses, a lot, and I still part of horses in the

summer, but yes, I just, I love it.

Yeah, you know, I go in the barn so she her and I go, we go spend

our time at Saratoga in the Summers and the track in the

day, and spend all day at work, and then we go to the harness

track but not so I'm not Just deciding that I should probably

just start handicapping. So I'll probably make a lot more

money that way. But very big.

Oh well, we're excited to have Adriana here, she's going to

talk and tell us a lot about what's going down, Fairgrounds

with obviously a huge weekend going on at Fairgrounds this

weekend and as we kick off the 50-point races, but more than

that, I mean I probably like the Risen star field is loaded

Louis, but I'm so excited about what we're going to get to see

the Rachel Alexander. I mean, like so excited for what

that's going to happen by chance.

First serious confirmation with who's your Billy accident and,

or in his chop shop for real, I think there's a lot of still

unanswered question for Chop Shop, after a very disappointing

Breeders Cup, juvenile fillies. So, I'm just, I'm super pumped

about it, I love that agent. One of the things that Louis and

I talked about all the time is that if you want to be a really

big horse racing fan fall in love with the Phillies because

you're going to get to see him for two or three seasons and you

go and we We love, you know, the amazing Phillies and mayors that

we've been able to follow since the doing this show.

We love old stain to I mean I love those things.

Oh yeah know that I think would be my woman day.

You know I'm a feminist. So I'm all right.

I like pink. It's my favorite color, I'm

sorry. Just So you're right, the card

is awesome. At the Oaks itself is such a

because of the field of 14 is a very approachable race, frankly.

And once in a while like, Mike and Ike sort of our, our first

big on are play for the Oakland Serengeti, a and is look like

the smartest freaking people ever as that number.

That's all the Horseman backside.

She was awesome. We got a very similar kind of

thing. This year.

I really think that kind of way. So we'll take a look and see but

let's talk a little bit about what happened last week.

Louis, one thing that did not happen is we have not heard

anything else except on the baffert situation, little

surprised that they asked to get the judge recused.

Just because of the timeline I mean at the end of the day

they've got to have a decision back here.

What like two weeks is that where we're at right now before

they've got to have a decision These horses and if the judge is

gets recused, and I mean, there's no way that happens.

I'll tell you. What's really interesting is we

get our first one, this weekend that has moved from Bedford to

asmussen. Exactly.

And so that is a private Creed is going to run in the oh my

goodness, a great, the ZL1. I'm sorry.

Tell me whether it's silver Heist and, oh yeah, no, I can't.

I don't have my reasons are in front of me.

I know exactly. Yeah, so that's the first move

that we've seen. And so, we're seeing good

Returns on Justified, babies and surrogate babies with Avenue.

And so, the first kind of domino, they're not a horse

that, I think, people think terribly highly of at this

point, but that's now I'm probably was more of probably

thinking they were gonna get lost in the shuffle and the huge

A 43-year Old Barn, this year, having else to write.

I mean, I think maybe that probably all played into it.

So very good though. Last time, I'm going to turns

break them. They will get to that race

later. But yeah, well, I think we'll

start. I think you'll get an idea from

the back up camp when we start, if we see horses movement

pregnant. So let's go ahead and let's

start and Golden Gate. And let's talk about the Elco

Nia Camino Real Derby. We talked about this horse for

sure. Got a big performance out of

Chase the chaos. And oh, we got Zach's not ready

for it's just It yet. Sorry I got I started talking

about Zack would be ready. He let us down once again movie.

Well this is cool and because we had we had never been on and we

played most of the interview and he said, look, I'm

He's dropped out as they hit the quarter pole.

No Arbor hits. That quarter mile marker, a

length and a half in front horse and trying to wear him down.

Gilmore's falling hard sand at the top of the lane.

He's got to pick it up though. They come down the lane horse

and in front no. L'arbre trying to fight back but

he's struggling. Now down on the inside Gilmore

and Chase, the chaos is let loose chase the chaos on the

outside, coming to the front for the edit mode, your Junior barn.

And it's going to be the local. Chase the chaos.

Alright, Lee was the betting strategy.

I know we were we were odds watching when the odds first

came out in this race because yeah, it didn't really make a

whole lot of sense to us. Chase the castle is the best

option in the race here. And so what I ended up doing

this, I took the three horses that are local that I liked and

I put them on top but I put Gilmore in the second.

Spot of the trifecta. Put those same three horses in

the third spot. So what that allows you to do is

if that best fits the betting favorite rooms that go ahead,

put it back to his house the um the if You know, if that horse

runs second, then you're going to get that money for that horse

running person. So, we've got hearts and to jump

up, would never go on to turns to finish third in that place.

So paid like 80 to 1, something like that.

I'm on the trifecta. I played it for two bucks like

it's called. Olivet got back about 160 bucks,

that's the kind of that you want to hit.

Those are the kinds of 42 bucks on the 50 Cent rabbit.

Yeah. Right.

Okay. So, you know, we hit that four

times, that's the kind of bet you want to hit in a race like

that where you think that maybe get in there.

Try the service for the first time shipping for the first

time, those kinds of things, maybe it might Great of the

race. Got a good run but chase the

chaos just better. I want to be really clear about

something too. I really hope that ownership

group figures out of trip to the free pass for that horse because

that running style wins the Preakness.

It doesn't win the Derby, it doesn't win the Belmont but it

wins the Preakness for some reason.

That's a come-from-behind race and Chase the chaos ran the kind

of race, the kind of the kind of tastes kind of, you know, around

0iu. So even I don't know if you ship

him for that race but he's got the kind of late kick that you

need a pillow KO. I would I would figure out a way

to train him up to the Preakness because I think he's absolutely

built to hit before the pretty well you have.

You are more likely to get a rabbit running in the in the

ocean or in the derby. Write it in the Preakness them

that argument. I mean the Preakness.

Yes. Sorry.

Yeah, I think you're totally right.

He got it. They had a rabbit there.

I mean, Bob clearly sent no longer to be around right horse.

Went out front even from the outside, post as fast as he

could to set up Gilmore for that.

Trip did not matter. Chase councils the best.

Hi Zach, I don't know. I can't tell you got Tampa.

Pulled up next to her or Aqueduct, you do have Tampa?

Okay, so we're going to the same of Davis, we're going to raise

this year because I had we get we saw a great performance,

you're out of litigate, but I wanted to go through the Davis

but then also want to go through the Sun Coast because the

Suncoast to me was really interesting.

So let's start here with us. EMF Davis.

Politer the top of the lane on the outside litigate right up

alongside Groveland is just in behind classic Legacy continues

to make up ground on the outside as litigate comes up.

Alongside of Zydeco. Litigate goes to the front

Zydeco, back to Second classic Legacy at on the outside, Roland

up, the rail of final sixteenth to go and litigates in front.

Its litigate with 50 yards left to go Zydeco down in the real

Groban. Litigate still there, Grove one

with one final Surge and litigate going to go on to win

it here. We all thought that the favor WL

was was very vulnerable here in, did not run a good race.

I mean, didn't really show up here at all.

Litigate was someone? I think we were a very high on,

and Louisa is getting it done in Florida.

No, surprise there. So, anything to take away from

that race, Hillary, all those things added up, we thought that

the extra distance would be good for him and it was that's a

winning Style by the way, for the.

Oh yeah. That's talking in the

durbeyfield forfeit sixth position.

Something like that, get into 34, pass, something like that.

That wins the Derby. So that's one to watch their

just because, you know, he's a over here, I think he's a son of

blame. He is.

So all the, all the breeding is there, mine shaft on the bottom,

you know? And so for me, that's the kind

of horse that you start to watch this, you know, rocket can the

week before seems to be improving as a three-year-old,

giving Improvement out of litigate here.

I think we know who the best talent is in the three-year-old

class, but we're starting to see, Horses that are going to

make up that gate and I think litigate could absolutely be

alone. Yeah I mean I think the key

there is if you're going to be in that five spot coming down

and stalking their intranet, She's Gotta make sure you just

don't get blocked in anywhere. I mean you're starting to get a

little too deep but you as long as you hover right around that

and don't get deeper than the five spot, I think for sure

could do it. All right.

Listen, I was really excited again.

I get excited about the some of these Philly races.

I thought we were going to see a good match race here with Wonder

Wheel. Coming back from the Breeders

Cup. Juvenile fillies.

I did not think she was for real after that race.

I did not vote for my Eclipse award.

I didn't do any of that stuff. I was, I was expecting for her

for Julia. Shining the pull pull up and get

the W here, but we saw neither one of them got a bad trip.

And we saw 38 to One-Shot come through here in a big way.

So let's watch this replay. Although the favorite here's

Wonder Wheel. Now coming up alongside of

dreaming of snow Julia, shining on the outside.

Those two trying to get to dreaming of Snows.

Game tour, the inside dreaming of snow, still just an arrow in

front. Wonder Wheel right up, alongside

Julia, shining down the outside. Final sixteenth ago, dreaming of

snow. Wonder Wheel, has 70 yards to

push on by dreaming of snow digs in toward the inside, Wonder

Wheel one final surge dreaming of snow Dreaming of snow goes

wire-to-wire Louis and to me looked like a horse that goes

from 38 to 12 horse that. We've got to take very seriously

as a contender. Yeah.

Show me again, I hate to do that but so Meghan, that's kind of

where I'm at with that. I think we're going to find out

this weekend. Chop-chop is not Top of the Heap

or whatever. We want to say, whatever

terrible bad joke, we want to throw on there.

I would rather I think this actually confirm for me that

who's your Filly is the best three year old Filly going?

No question and that we're going to I think we'll get a lot of

confirmation of that at Fairgrounds assignment.

So did you want to see that race again?

Which one the you want to see her like perform again, you want

to see one more race out of dreaming has?

No, it's not what you were talking.

That's exactly what I'm yeah. I mean horses are 38 to one for

a reason and I'm not I'm not picking on the horse but it's

very rare that you go thirty eight to 12 the next race being

321 or 522 or something. And you just go ahead and win

again. Did she hold on to do

everything? She was close to do 100%, I'm

not downgrading the performance. I just want to see it again.

I actually think that we actually do.

See it quite a bit. He's even on the Derby side.

I think we do see it. Horses kind of step up because

of how these horses are developing, you know, this is a

horse that's been in every other and every single time, she's

made a jump up into listen Stakes race.

She hasn't even hit the board, but then all of a sudden it all

kind of clicked for and I was impressed when she beat to good

horses for sure. So did you have any taken that

Adrian? You look like you're kind of

interested in that um, actually, I watch that race and I was

really impressed with how dreaming of snow just kept on

every time wonder will give her something she kept on.

Ongoing. And I think that's going to be a

big help when she's going forward in these races because

they get to be such close races. If she just keeps on digging in

like that. I really think she's going to be

one to watch. Yeah, I mean, she might like

this extra distance, right? I mean, I think this was.

She finally goes to two turns and there it is.

So, all right, now we're going to move out to Aqueduct.

We're going to watch the withers.

Arctic arrogance has got more, they reach the top of the

stretch and now hit show is out in the clear, it's Arctic

arrogance, who's got the lead but hit show is ready to pounce

on the outside as they approach a final Furlong there.

Five clear here from General banker.

And hit show has taken the lead. It's hit show who's now striding

away. Arctic arrogance is a game.

Second hit, show drops over to the rail has less than a 16th to

go. It's Brad, Cox many Franco hit

show in the withers. Hit shall know.

No, surprise are Brad Cox. Getting it done in New York.

We love those two horses. I mean we basically knew his

those two horses and everybody else in that field, thought we

could probably see a better performance out of Jungfrau you

know, my favorite new rapper name but it didn't pop up.

So I mean that race was what it was right?

Yeah. And I hope they enjoy winning

the wood and then finishing 11th in the derby because that's

what's gonna happen. Although you No, we don't

actually know that performance might be one where Cox goes.

Okay, I got to run him in Arkansas or something.

Isn't it unusual for us to see the West go that direction

though? The go through the go through

New York. I mean they've got a lot of

horses this year. So I think that's more just

spread them out I but ya know what you said is true.

It's unusual. Maybe they didn't think he had

this, that was taken away. It still, by the way, very

strange for me to hear Chris Griffin's voice and the

Love at bugs like personally being there, everyone hates on

Aqueduct and call it apple sauce.

And it is kind of depressing, but I absolutely love going

there and having everyone screamed out at you like, oh,

you suck at all, but I think it's possible.

You know, you're walking up and they're screaming at the

jockeys, you know, it's, you can't beat it and, you know, the

pigeons inside Aqueduct. It's like, you're in the

building and it's thousand dollar claim of horse racing

tracks. Absolutely.

Yeah, it's home area. I love it.

It's the anti Keeneland which is makes me happy so.

Alright. So we're big week in down the

fairgrounds because you know basically the whole horse racing

world is going to be focused in. You've got you've got the two

races that are got the point systems, where the Oaks and the

Derby and got to be excited, you know, for the card.

It's going to be a really good card all throughout the entire

card itself is phenomenal. I was just started going through

the earlier races. I've gone through all the late

raises, the stakes races, but I started going through the

earlier ones. That I really think.

There's some cool allowance versus the maidens in there.

Everything's going to be I think everything's going to be High

Caliber. Alright, 13 races, not a single

person under 70k I mean it's a serious thing.

I had an interesting day in special way.

It's in the early part that early Pick 5 has an opportunity

to either go to for more or explode on itself.

And I think, you know, you got to made special way.

What's that I said? And you never know a fair

grounds, which way it's gonna go.

So, I think you're totally right.

I mean that, that fits race, like, good luck, good luck.

I mean, bitching phase in that race but otherwise, like, it's

gonna be great. It's gonna be a great day.

Is there anyone in that place? Sequence, other than the girl

we've been, I mean. Okay, so I got to ask, oh, gosh,

again, have you got to hang out with Hoosier feeling?

I've seen on the track. That's about it.

You know, I watch a train and that's really it.

I don't really go interact with other people's horses, but I do

watch her I think I've seen her every single day.

Training energy, super impressive on the track.

I mean, what's your take on her? Um, she's impressive, she she

looks older than she is. So she she got a little she's

like a good Dominican literally player or some like that.

He's she's visually a very impressive for she handles the

track. Well you actually see a breeze

and it doesn't seem like she's going all that fast.

Which is odd because the slower horses look like they're going

really fast. On the track and then end up

spitting out, really? Piss, poor times to be honest

but she's matured, she's grown. I think she's kind of going.

I don't want to not grow at all but I think she's kind of going

through like a like, a growth spurt right now.

You know, sometimes the Phillies get really tall lanky and they

kind of Tuck up a little bit. And that's kind of what I've

noticed from her. But not a, not a negative way,

you know. She has grown.

She's a big girl. I mean, I think we talked about

this on the show all the time that these three year olds are

us. Like it's the equivalent of us.

Betting on. You know, kids are like 8th

grade freshman in high school, they're going through changes

like, I mean, they're trying to figure themselves out lights.

It'd be like if the biggest sporting event it was the

Kentucky State High School basketball championship.

That's really kind of, its kind of messed up in some ways, you

know? But so I think, I think people

who follow sport kind of expect that and I think that's why,

especially on the, on the males, on the boys side, you know,

we're seeing those two year olds at step up and have big

two-year-old Seasons. Everyone kind of catches up to

him, and rare for the two-year-old Champion to go on

to More than, you know, to be to repeat as a three-year-old, I

guess. So I completely agree with that

and I think it is a little bit more noticeable with the

Phillies as we saw in the, the Suncoast stakes.

And that was really one that, you know, you saw the champion,

Phillies, the ones that were the high expectations, just come up

and Now, they actually have competitors and that's it.

So when you look at this and, you know, three straight bullets

for her pets, everybody on the track at fairgrounds, right?

So it's not like, it's just the three-year-old Phillies that are

running. Do you take that into account

when you're looking at these races Adrian?

Or is this more like, you know what?

I know what I see. I'm there every day.

Like what do you, what do you base it more?

So I actually watch her work a lot and I see how, you know, I

have our Philly in the race to compare and I really that my are

Phillies. Kind of like, why am I talking

Choices but um I would hope so. Well, yes, I watched the style

in which these horses Breeze and I noticed she breezes and more

of a race riding style. She freezes behind horses,

she'll Breeze, I think her 54 a long throw her last half or five

for a long throw. She started about five or six

lengths off of the horses in front of her and then Edgar

started to scrub on our Bit and try to get her up there.

So I think those do produce the faster times.

You know, our horses, I know, Brad Brad's horses, they all

work in hand. We call it, you know, they don't

move. They sit and I don't think

there's anything wrong with the two different styles.

Everyone has their different style of training but I think

I'd only look at times as much anymore because of that.

Let's talk a little bit about your philly.

Mean it's a Gunrunner Philly you got loose eyes of board.

Tell us a little bit about five and what we're going to see from

her. Well, vava, she's been in the

bar. You know, I kind of worked with

her since she was just came in, with no name.

She started out as a beautiful facility, which is

proportionate, which is not really every time she grew, she

grew proportionate, which was amazing.

She ran at Saratoga the first time and I'm going to be honest.

It was very disappointing, but we actually had a lot of horses

like that, not us, but everyone else, in general had worse was

that weren't training on that surface and running on it.

Brad had a horses come from Keeneland to run on the surface

and just Couldn't run on it. And so, I think we saw kind of,

at the end of summer what she really had.

When she got beat on The Wire, just by take charge Brianna, and

every step she's taken in every race.

I've just shown more and more from her, and she actually, she

was in Florida with our other assistant and I just got her

back last week that she worked over the track once and it looks

like a completely different course than the one I sent out

to be on top of old wood for it, you know, it's she's grown,

she's deaf old, she If her butt gets any bigger, they're gonna

start throwing dollar bills in it.

Sorry, I think I think, I think if she gets a little better luck

out of the gate this time at all, it'll be a good race.

Did she take a step back in the in her last race out?

In the end tappable? I mean it looked like because we

must be figure. Why is he kind of did?

No. She um, So a couple horses on

that day actually breaking out. I think she was the three or the

four. There were like four horses that

broke out of that gate spot in the wire and the route races

that actually stumbled. So they have no idea what was

going on but we noticed it. So I think Joe Sharp had one

that did it as well. And she went to her faced and

how Louis didn't fall off is beyond me, and kind of just had

to work through the race picking that up.

I really didn't think she was going to run it all like, Now

you watch them fall out of the race and you just hope they're

okay. But for her to come on at the

end, like that really was a huge effort.

Yeah, yeah. Okay.

Back at 1 so it's like, you know, she finished just behind

the eyes. Look, I know it's my five and a

half points. Well, Ethel comes back wins her

next day so it's not like, you know, and pretty much of this is

in the streets in 92. It's not like you know, she was

running against scrubs item. Yeah.

I mean, Alice look knocking off chop shop right there in the

Silver Bullet day, I mean yeah. Okay.

Oh, come on. Hey, I got a question.

And in basketball we always ask is it X's and O's.

So you know, it's kind of been just figuring out through the

years, I think she'd been training for four or five year

for four and a half. I've been with her for three now

but it is, it is the recruiting. It's the fact that we fit in

better at the tracks that were running at.

You know, she she spotted horses and places now that we can,

instead of, you know, before if I'm sure if she would have run

more like Deanna or anything else and what have had the

numbers, but SRI really, I think she doesn't really care so much

about the statistics and dropping horses.

Instead, she's trying out the spot.

Crying giving them a chance at the highest level if they're not

going to do it then slowly moving them through to where

it's safe. And I think about that picking

up race. Seven.

Picking up the W today. With Blissful Louis.

It's her hundredth career win. Yes.

Yeah. So that was exciting.

The school's been a fun horror so Well, yeah,

but she, you know, the training is different for different

surfaces. Then last year was kind of a

learning process and so we didn't really have the greatest

numbers there. And it was nobody did anything

wrong. It just had to switch training

and I think that's really sure. He's the best thing is she's

able to switch things up. You know, not everyone does the

same thing and just she's malleable to whatever the

situation is. We're gonna start talking some

racing. We're going to start with the

colonel power Stakes, begin a huge card here.

This is not even the first Stakes race of the day.

There's one earlier in the card, but we're going to do this five

late, pick five with a 500,000-dollar guarantee pool.

It starts with the colonel power, 5 and a half furlongs on

the turf for four year olds and up hundred thousand dollar race.

And in this race in particular, we're actually seeing the the

returning champion who won in an upset bid last year.

So it's going off at 10. 21. Louis, who did you like in this

race? I'm going with something.

I don't like to do. I'm okay surveillance on top

here. Going from I hate taking that

that angle but it's something that Keith is a more formal does

really really well. And so I'm going to just come

here at Jimmy Graham's went on the fourth last three times out

three wins all them a grounds. I think this was more about

getting a Sprint at this distance for this horse in a

state company than just the surface.

Like they're just trying to get him on to be fair.

He's These seven speaker and a win in the turtle 4142 at the

distance lifetime 142 and programs as well on this course.

And so I'm I'm leaning on him. I think Evan sing draws a

reminder to people to. They've had to move the rail out

at Fairgrounds because of some of the irrigation is rooms and

some of the salt water coming up into their, their watering

systems. So, only eight horses can run in

its four phrases, you could get in this field.

Who's first of all, I think it's coming off a little bit as well.

You know, my pal Maddie. An interesting possible drawing

as well as been running it Remington really quickly.

I'm going on time here more than anything else, ratify for a long

recently in 43 and change and then 55 and change.

That's the kind of time that can win this type of race.

I do think you have to include pyron the for as well.

Ten to one is an incredible number won this race last year.

Sometimes horses, just get back to a place where they're

comfortable and they like it. Maybe that could happen for him

as well. Again I really trust, they'll

stall down at Fairgrounds and I think you got to include the

three all in sync for Tyler. They perceive as an awesome and

so he's pretty good at a lot of things.

He's about 16 to 20 percent on everything including bringing

horses off. A couple of a monthly office for

stranded Keeneland in October. This will be his first time

back, three months, nine starts last year to me in this

sequence. This is the spread leg and so I

would look at 8:10 3, & 4, on top of the year, it looks like

the weather is going to be cool, but it's going to be clear for

that day. So, wait, I'm supposed to be

today and then, right and aging. Yes, You're agreeing with that

and yeah, yeah, they had nothing but I was I was waiting for it.

Nothing. So it's gonna go from 58 to 60

and or fifty eight to 18 in a couple days there, but it's

going to be the 58 on the Saturday.

So it will Adrian shaking our heads too cold for that.

You know, she's already Snowbird and at the age of 24, the

horses, the horses, love 58, they'll be heavy.

They'll do both 58. And so, how is the how is that?

Turf course, holding up so far. Adrian, you know, it's actually

all become very fair you know before.

When we first started running on it.

Listen Brooke were used to Churchill Downs.

So like we have had intercourse like four or five years so you

know you can put some merch all you want.

So. So you know it was really

unfair. It was playing awful, you know,

front end horses speed they were going right to the back.

It's really started to play fair.

Now, you know, everything's kind of equal, everything's evenly

chewed up. There's no slipping there's no,

you know, the horses are getting a hold of it which is nice.

It's safe. It feels say, you know, watching

the horses run and And I was actually, you know, judging off

our horses that have brought on it but this was only back

farther and she was able to get up front.

So I think it is a little bit faster now which is nice.

All right, anything you want to add to what we had to say about

this race? I, I'm gonna have to take a

sneaky one. I like all of Louise picks, but

I gotta go with Angus, then I'm gonna have to add him to my

tricks, okay? All right, well I'm gonna lay

off of that one. Love it, biggest in the seven

and here with Mitch Moreland. All right, so we're going to

move on to the next race which is The Mineshaft.

It is a mild 16th on the dirt quarter of a million dollar race

here. So it's a big race or four year

olds and up. Louie, who did you fall on here?

We got a lot of familiar names in this one, especially if you

go to Indiana Grand or hoarded or whatever.

It's called anymore. We got King Fury, mr.

Wireless. A horses that we've In up there,

but a lot of times before, Tawny Port, who do you like in this

one? I'm hoping for the James, Graham

double here, I think happy American is a deserve it 722 on

the morning line here, the six horse from the bus and I am

interested if he can keep this form going.

Sometimes it's hard for horses to win, three races in a row and

just is to the horses in this race.

Beat him, three back. He lost a horse named Olympia in

the New Orleans, classic in March of last year, but then

came off that layoffs. Didn't fire the first first time

and I didn't fire. I mean he lost by half a length

and since then has reeled off two wins, I think he's

absolutely the horse to beat here.

I then went to a pioneer of Medina the seven, huge wrong

last time ago, strain park over my own 16th going.

Those two turns just just miss I mean just missed albine, just

give me one second who went off, was the favorite in the Pegasus

turbo, Laird Pegasus World Cup. So that's what they thought of

that race. Was that it was that good

horses, one before at Fairgrounds as well.

And so I went to him second, then I'm going to be 8.

Wait, mr. Wireless who we've seen a bunch

of Indiana but does seem to like the track at at the fairgrounds.

I think that our guidance on still doesn't have a graded

Stakes win six thousand career wins.

I don't have a great 61 at all. No and I think this is an

excellent chance for him. Mr. Hackl has lost by a

necklace. I'm out at the my own of 16 in

the great Louisiana. His screen seems like he's just

do right? I mean sometimes horses just

they lose, they lose the head Bob they lose whatever.

I think he might be do here. So stick 78 on top.

I also included the three here, who is tawny Port?

Because I have no damn idea. Brad Cox is just going to show

up and go. Oh yeah.

Okay. What a bounce?

What I'm sorry. I'm okay, I'm Brad.

And this is a great three but who won this race last year, you

know? I love you at 1:00 in the

Maxfield one the year before. So I mean this is like quarter

million dollars is people show up.

That's right. Absolutely Adrian.

Anything to add on that one. I mean I guess I gotta talk

about our horse. Do rights.

Absolutely. Do you know I don't I don't

really know what happened to the last place.

I'd really like happy American I think Neal and that entire Barn

are so deserving of this I went you know happy American

Farmington Road I'm going to have to play.

Them both at the same time, I think Farmington just kind of

bobbled last time. I really know what happened but

he got a feel for the surface and I think he'll come back to

run a big race, but I love happy American the way he's been

training. I watch him.

You know, everyone points out every horse here, really, so you

get to watch all these horses trained.

He's lost no form. He looks amazing.

So, I kind of just a stick with him at this point and take the

mr. Wireless happy American

Farmington Road. And you know, I don't know how

much you're in these conversations.

So I might be setting you up for an answer that you might not be

repaired or a question that you might not be pretty answer.

So if I am, I apologize. But I'm a, I'm a former

basketball coach Wright and so betters and fans.

Look at what happens one way. But when you're the trainer and

you've got to kind of map out how the race is going to unfold

in these kind of stakes races and you come up with your own

game plan, right? Oh yeah, everything we you know,

sure. That's not my job to do but I

you know I kind of do it when I'm handicapped anyway but

Cherie and the jockeys have already said, you know, hey this

horse, this horse is the speed. You know, we're going to sit

behind this horse. That horse is a cheap speed.

So maybe, you know, don't worry about that one, but they've

already kind of mapped out for different ways for this race to

go. It'll probably go the fifth way

that nobody planned on. You know, it is you go and to

try to be as perfect as you can in a place where Perfection

doesn't exist. So right.

How about how deep in the weeds do they get like do you get down

to like hey we want to be on the on the Left Flank of this horse

versus the right flank of this horse.

I mean no no no I mean no you go find a you know you have when

you know your horse you're like a you know we're happy for the

back and be to the outside they don't like the dirt or hey you

know don't get stuck behind this horse because Probably think

that one's going to come backwards and you know, you

can't say hey I want this horse exactly right here because

someone's going to stumble out of the gate.

Sure what's going to back, you know.

So you do kind of just say like in a general manner, I want to

be clear, I want to stay out, you know, this works won't run

unless he has to be pressured to the outside.

So you kind of have a jockey get an idea of where to put their

whores. I mean, I see how race is

breakdown and to me it's like everything that happens before

they get to the top of the stretches.

I'll just about putting yourself in a position to think for that

stretch run and I just think that's where those kind of

strategies kind of come into play.

So I'm fascinated by it. So we'll move on to the

fairgrounds takes. This is race 11.

That's 150 thousand dollar raise.

It is a great Three Mile and an eighth on the turf.

Another one, we're going to see some familiar names here.

Louis, where did you land in this race?

Yeah, I went a little chalky on top here.

I think the local gentle soul into Emmys.

I think those two are on top here.

I I do think. Gentle soul.

I mean, he's just three or four one.

I mean one absolute, you know, clunker back in December.

Came back really well. What happened?

Yeah you kind of you just don't know what happened like okay,

yeah this is wore out over the T hours in the show.

Sorry um and so the I think gentle Souls got a serious shot

here if he runs his race, real Uno's, of course, breakout who

knows how to condition horses down there.

Obviously they're going to be a problem to him.

He's lost by a neck last time, one of all throwing the time

before that horses in really really good form right now. 344

lat Fairgrounds does like to run second unfortunately was is a

four second. And ten rounds at Fairgrounds

once awhile. You get those horses than just

okay, just come on this wirelessly better and then man

the off the board kind of horse. I like in this race it's Corelli

and I'll be very clear. I do not expect this horse for

them but I think just second off the layoffs.

There's something about Jonathan's highness.

I think he's a really fine trainer variant or know there's

something about this horse. I love the placement here.

It's only a course that is. I think he's that Dead late

speed in this race. And I mean, late speed in this

race that he's going to come flying at the end.

If it gets a good trip with Frenchie the floor owns review,

I think he's got a really, really serious job.

So I went really short here because only some horses, 42 and

7 and of course you left off the three horse who won this race

last year. So there you go and that's our

boy downstairs. So yeah, you know, come on now,

you know? Are we, are they, are they

trying? To make his the bomb at Air

Force and it's just not really working out.

Kenny, did it? He did it with classically

laughter, I mean it's happened. But yeah, that was on that one.

So I love the horse and I really I really do like the horse but,

you know, he's one done so well up at Turfway.

And you know what? Yeah, right.

That's exactly the tracks out there.

Yeah. That's, that's where I'm at is.

You know, the horses run? Okay, on the turf.

I mean, he ran up against some huge competition in the Hall of

Fame. But he ran such a good number on

the, on the polyhedra are to Peta.

Sorry, I think everything's Polly now, but um, I think

that's kind of where he belongs, but I don't know, I'm not around

the horse, so I don't know. I mean, we're never gonna judge

like that heavily. Like, we know that the trainers

are always trying to do with Best of the horses.

The same time we've we've done this before.

This is the third race on the turf for this horse after having

a very like you said, a very successful career on the

synthetic and the horse is not hit the board yet in any of

these Turf races. No and so just putting the horse

where he needs to be I'm just starting to wonder if that's if

that's what that's what we're doing or not.

So by the way, I didn't mention Bay Street money for Mike maker

which means I don't make sure All right, so we're going to

move on to the Rachel Alexander steaks, which of course, this

this race is we're going to get the match race between Hoosier

Philly chop-chop involved because I'll put her in there

for you and you know this this race we've seen see again a

Monomoy girl Cleary are. I've got us a fire.

Didn't win this British of any idiom didn't win.

They can't she came in second to finite that year.

I mean on tappable this is this is like This is really to me

when the Oaks field starts really kind of coming into some

real names, right? So I'm super excited about this

race. We already know how agents going

to go Sherry, told us how she's gonna go on this one and she

should write. I mean, and I think I made it

very clear how I'm going. Yeah.

And so I don't know how much we really got to talk about this

besides, like, is there someone who could pop up and pull, what

we saw on the Suncoast in this rate, it's pretty much a

mischievous, no question, because she be telling The slope

by three and a quarter lengths in that on tappable.

And then also came back and wand and be chop-chop.

I mean if you're looking for one is pretty mr.

Boesel Brendon, Walsh and Tyler. I think that's no question,

that's our. We have surprised that this

field doesn't have more double-digit like like long long

long when you have such heavy favorites.

Well, there's only six. Yeah, that's true.

But I mean, it's a good field. Go ahead agent.

Sorry. I cut you off.

No, that's kind of where I was. I was kind of going through the

How's the morning lines? And I was kind of shocked that

it to be honest. I don't think Chop Chop is 825,

when loser goes home. All right, tool will then move

on to the Risen star, which the world?

I would love it. This is mine.

Risen star won two out of the three legs of the Triple Crown.

Just did not win the Kentucky Derby.

She can't, your he came in third in that race lost a wing colors

and 49er also won the Louisiana Derby.

And so we get this risen star Stakes the 50-point race in the

derby season and it's a deep deep field and I think for me

we're going to get some hopefully get some answers about

some of these horses in this race.

We got horses like Victory formation Brad Cox with three

injuries in this race and victory formation is definitely

the one. I think that it's going to have

the biggest one that although I've kind of like, tap its

Conquest a little bit here too. I'm interested to see what we

see out of curly Jack. I just think we got some really

good horses here to kind of look at, of course, Never Shaq

diesel, runs Louisiana. I'm going to pay attention to

the LSU star Shaquille O'Neal anyway.

Louie, what did you think about this risen star field and where

do you land? I'm boring here.

Holly. Brad Cox is the best horse.

Whose names are three formation. I think plumbing and prep.

Despite a lackluster started sanity that I think when he gets

to these races and very dialed, the two of them together, just I

mean it's it's kind of a cheat code I think Victory formation

is The the favorite and the deserve a good one.

I do think though, I'm going to use some other horses.

I want some price horses in here.

I think angel of Empire, the siths picks up Luis saez, and I

love that, by the way, Luis saez won that race would be, Alice

look, and they form of a room look, like, you've never been.

Yeah, it's unbelievable. And I, here's, here's the thing.

Horse breaks, his Maiden at Horsham in Indianapolis.

Going to Milan by a billion rows.

Before that event saw be attractive, and then they try to

become pregnant jobs because everybody should speak ducky

Downs. Because all the races run for

seven, eight, nine million. So they bring them back.

He runs an Indiana in it along with field.

So I mean literally to break his Maiden bright.

They you know they he wins in the sloppy track which I'm

indicating that Skies back wins over two turns, there's only

ever one to turn to except the conductor that runs in very good

company at Oaklawn in the Smarty Jones.

Gets that gets that class exposure.

I think sometimes horses, come back after that, no way to

sources X1, by the way, there's no chance.

By the time we get to post time in my mind, at least I am going

to you Thomas Conquest, the other broadcasts.

So about Cox Cox Cox on top. They're all three of them

because I think that's probably how this race is going to go.

I like a long shot in this race though.

Group B is the 12 coming out of office?

Rhian really well is a Maiden Still?

But pleasure, a pleasure ships for a reason.

Right? I do not think he does these

things by accident, this is not an accident.

This is a curling Malibu moon on the bottom.

This is not an accident instead of going that one turn Mi that I

can, of course, gets back to to turns did really well with it at

Aqueduct. I mean, I Reds been up on his

horse three times. Had to go, you know, last time

out against, you know, picks up hundred because everybody's in

Florida, but I don't think that's an accident.

I actually, for our stuff, we haven't mentioned it yet for

Green Sheet, reaching racing.com.

That is that's a horse that I included in the pick five

because I think the 12 groupie is the kind of horse that blows

up the sequence and we all go, we all look at it and go.

Okay, that's an obviously improving horse.

Who's going to like the two turns?

It's going to get a shallower tracking with the crappy, get

New York, right? And so sorry with you.

And so it's Just not the same stuff that you get on the

island. I think he's going to like the

track a lot. So give me him in the last spot.

So I ended up going 13 6, 8 and 12.

Beijing, I went a completely different route, except it will

actually not really except I'm sorry.

I am, I in person and to impress me in person in a work is, it's

not easy. And the way he worked, he

started off about ten lengths off of another horse.

And I don't think that worth is meeting to be his rabbit

basically. But jareth all he did was sit

back and take a hold of the horse and he took off, and I

wasn't clocking him. I was watching my own horses

trained, but the way he was able to flip a switch from relax.

So it was extremely impressive, especially on this track on that

stretch. I think he ran I think they're

in the best race last time. I'm sorry last out in the lock

on that, you know, instant coffee how to him an instant

coffees, a fantastic horse. And I think he's one, we have to

look at as a continuously improving, but he's I think to

Phil's is so green still and for him to figure out everything,

you know, he won the street Sense on the wrong weed and then

it's Disney switched back over to the correctly.

He took off again and galloped out past the field.

And I picked him on top of Victory formation.

I love Victory formation as well.

I think he's cool. I think he's going to see his

front end style. I think his running style going

to be challenged this time and then I had curly Jack, I got a

kind of throw him a bone, I like him, he's cool.

He's a well muscle force and you know, I kind of watch him trying

to and I think he's had a few mediocre Races, they just didn't

show up but I think he's sitting kind of on a big one and I had

the toy Kentucky club that Kentucky ducky Club.

Turn into a predictor of courses, developing a

three-year-old so no, I don't like that.

Yeah I think you know kind of you see them like we were

talking about earlier. I think you kind of see him at

the end of their two-year-old year, you know, just kind of

they throw in so many lackluster races just because they're

babies. They're so tired.

You know? You can't can't expect them to

show up every single time, which I do think that actually makes

Hoosier Philly way more impressive is the fact that she

has shown up every single time But I think with the on the

bottom oh you got creepy too. I did I have I have 1013 912 so

I think that in any concern with the layoffs for curly Jack,

would you like to sing one more start in between there?

Um, Not really. I like I mean I don't think he

was ever going to win the race to be honest Victory formation

just has a completely different running style that fits the

track. I think curly Jack is going to

do much better down the road at the Kentucky tracks, but

Fairgrounds is so it's not an easy trick.

The went on, I think it's, it really comes down to these

closers. And I think a re setting up the

way it's going to set up here with, you know, Victory,

formations the speed to Phil's. If he gets to the front and you

know, you have the You have determinedly who can go right on

to the front. I think they're all going to be

challenged and I just I don't think it sets up for probably

did. Yeah.

I think to actually it's a sign from from anus that he's, this

is first off the way off. Second off.

The layoff is in another 50 or 100.

Went crazy. I think that's what he's telling

you he's aiming for that. Absolutely, I agree.

Yeah, I think he's the horse is just going to continue to

improve as he goes on. So Adrian, we loved having you

on. Thank you very much for joining

us. You're welcome anytime so much

fun. Yeah absolutely.

And so you know, a big day this weekend at the fairgrounds we're

going to see an ox contender in a Derby Contender.

Kind of really take form here and, you know, you might even

see I think in both cases a lot of Buzz around, either one of

these winners of these races. So Louis anything to add just my

like my seat. Oh yeah your sequences actually.

Yep, that's right. And in the Winner's Circle

because he's gonna hit it. He said in this, I feel that

Louis. This is your pick five.

You're nailing this pick five. Do we do like a voodoo dance

because we're in New Orleans. I can do that for you.

I think so like we can do that. Yeah.

So I give Julia, Louie doesn't feel like I support him.

Aging is what it comes down to it.

I give him a whole lot of crap because he either, he hits four

out of five, or he puts together 80 dollar ticket and it pays

$82. So that's, yeah.

I'm not gonna lie, that's what I do.

So I'm always there. Like, look at this guys, I won

with, I just want to give them more support.

I'm just trying to be, you know, a little bit more of a

supportive partner. So this this kind of felt like

Bulls counseling. So I don't know if I get paid

for this, if that's what it is. But yeah, it is couples

counseling. When I resent last time, we last

time, we did the fairgrounds in the street.

There's a twenty dollar pick three that I put on paid two

hundred sixty bucks. So we're fine those that good

Juju up in here. So and I'll tell you, we've also

try to like, make plans to go to this race like two years in a

row, and it's just like things have happened and it hasn't

worked out. So we're going to get you

noticed this weekend. It's it's awesome.

The racing is awesome, but New Orleans itself is, it's amazing,

it's Mardi Gras, it's fun. And you know we have the rest of

the week. We have we skip racing on Sunday

but Monday and They were back with some pretty good races, we

even have the Mardi, Gras Stakes on Tuesday.

So you know anyone else looking to do those?

That sounds like a lot of fun. That is, let's do it.

All right, well, we're going to pay the tab.

We're going to get out of here. This has been another edition of

the horse-racing happy hour. all the doors.

Horse Racing Happy Hour
