The Batman? No, but we do have a Gotham preview

Mike pops in for a bit in the midst of celebrating his daughter’s birthday #DadLife #GirlDad

Full Transcript

We got the horse racing happy hour.

We're keeping an eye on the Derby Trail as doing.

Oh-ho was rebellious to Better is in Arkansas while the coach

true vs anok's and maybe Derby Contender in secret oath, big

weekend, coming up with the Gotham at Aqueduct, the Fountain

of Youth, that Gulfstream Park and the San Felipe Stakes on,

what could be a rain impacted. Big cap day at Santa Anita, but

it never rains in southern California, right?

The happy hour tries not to rain on your parade and it starts

right now. And that's is what happens when

we don't have Mike on the show. I forgot how to do the intro

music, it seems about right. I'm - I'm joined by liver Bo, we

are missing Mike and Alpha, who is the third part of the

horse-racing happy hour and this is the horse racing happy hour.

Thank you, for that Clank right there.

We talked about this time and time again.

Louis that when you and I on the show, it's together.

Mike is in here. It's basically like kids without

adult supervision. Hey, yeah.

That sounds right. You don't and thank goodness.

We have JD here as our producer because he is the adult deist

adults as well, that's no question.

Yeah, and so, I mean, I we would be lost without him.

Hmm. Well, I will say that we've got

so much to talk about that. I think, unless you guys want to

be here for four hours, so should move at a nice fixed.

Yeah, you're absolutely right about that.

We have tons of racing coming your way, this is a huge weekend

all across the country. If you guys are tuning in to

whatever your race track is because we've got four Kentucky

Derby prep races. Just here in the u.s. obviously

Oaks preps as well and huge days of racing at all of those

tracks. Louis.

I mean, are you excited or what? I am excited, it's one of those

where, because of the time zone difference is you get that huge

day at Gulfstream to start the day.

And then you kind of Slide the big cat Day, which is really

fun. And then, you know, I as a

gambling nerd I'm very excited about Mondays mandatory payout

and Golden Gate Fields. I will not mention that again,

but Matt, we're very excited. Oh, of course last weekend, you

saw that in the open that JD put together for us here for the

show. Oh, no.

Ho got the win in the rebel stakes and got some 50 points.

I believe towards the Kentucky Derby.

And did it at what? Like a cool seventy-four to one?

Something like that. Something like that?

Yeah. Yeah.

Now what was he was? I didn't even see him coming.

I was on the racetrack taking pictures and I was like, wait

what? You just came out of how did he

get off the rail? Yeah, don't yeah.

He really really had his eye on the prize but the one-eyed horse

I called it out about him being this year's patch for a hunch

players that will have closer to took second every day.

So there's your there's a large horse.

Hopefully he can he could do to get involved.

Will certainly say and then secret oath on the Oaks Trail.

I was a doubt I was in that tree.

I will give you credit. You were like this is a single

love secret Oaths and I was like anybody but so I bow down to

you. I love I love that.

The coach walks with a cane but still rides horses out.

Totally. The guy's just a monster.

He's great. Yeah, incredible and Horseman's

should be so thankful for him and hopefully we are and

especially with what he said at the the what was Everything, it

was the Oakland's, Horseman something, whatever.

Basically he was like higher trainers with integrity and

wholeheartedly behind that statement.

So I gotta love that but we do have I believe a clip from his

winning interview with Nancy, hope this at Oaklawn Park, to

hear about his potential future plans with secret oath and I

think will show the actual end of the race first and will

transition into that Megan, because I want everybody to pay

attention in the move. That Luis Contreras makes on the

far turn because it is delightful and here is a

resurgent. Eyes orchid, race-riding?

Growth around the far. Turn, Contreras is going to have

to either split horses or wait and go around.

He'll move within two of the lead.

Then comes free like a girl optionality.

He's gone ujiri. How about the rail for secret

oath and into strides, she's to and front.

Secret oath has storm to the lead.

It is now a three length advantage, ujiri and ice or

Qatar watching her race away and secret oath comes to the final

Furlong. Now with a five length

advantage, ujiri and Ice Orchid, this is another dominant.

Aunt performance for a budding. Superstar secret oath to win the

honey bee. You've talked about it.

So I'm going to ask you, you've mentioned, if she answers the

call today, she could potentially.

And I'm sure you'll nominate to the Arkansas Derby.

I know that trainers like to say, we'll let her tell us, what

does she need to show you moving forward to be next out in the

Arkansas Derby? Well, it's not what I what she

has to show us. I want to see what the rest of

them here. The other, the rebel field

doesn't see how they act. It one of the things if you're

going to do that, if you're going to step out of the box and

run against Colts, as you have to make sure that you're the

best of that era that age group whether it's a Philly or cult.

So we will see how the field shapes up for Arkansas.

It would be tempting, 1,200,000 grade one, but I think it takes

a lot of may be analyzing and looking at a very carefully, you

do. Do that.

Just say, oh yeah, will run against the Colts.

So I wouldn't say that. The thing about it is, Robin,

Stacy Mitchell, have their opinion about it, and I'll have

to do some work there. So, we'll go from there.

Oh, he didn't say no, but he didn't say yes.

That's correct. You be Arkansas Derby.

Which do you think she's running against the boys?

Larry, she's already qualified for the Oaks with the 50-point,

so why not? Yeah, that's really the point,

right? And I mean, to think about it as

to, with a horse like that. No, I'm sorry.

Well, yeah, with a horse like that, but with the trainer like

that, too. I mean, wait, Lucas, we call

them the coach. He's a Hall of Fame trainer and

not only that, but he has 13. Phillies in the wait, has he run

through Phillies on a minute? Yeah, in the Kentucky Derby, I

believe, I took some notes on this winning.

Cut you train Winning Colors, didn't he?

Yep. And she won the Derby.

I took all these notes. And I got a fact, check myself

now. But but I mean, Lucas has won

the Derby four times before. And this is the kind of guy.

This is the kind of horse with the performance, at least that

she put in that we hope we can see.

I mean, it's Is this be a great storyline coming into this year?

We're we're bored. We need that.

Well, we're just, it's, it's interesting because you talk

about. Let's see what they do in the

rebel, right? Right.

I'm sorry. If you watch that Rebel, would

you watch secret oath in the honey?

Like, you have to think that she can definitely compete with that

group, right? Yeah, that's all I know.

And she is just weaving in and out, you know, he's he's totally

right Luis. Contreras was moved there where

he was like between also, just kidding.

I'm going to take the next she was like she was like, let's go

enough to do that. Yeah, exactly.

Because not all horses will go through spots like that.

Yeah, so that's super exciting. I'm am even more pumped to see

the Arkansas Derby field, come together.

I know chasing time who was in The Rebel Stakes, but didn't

finish. Anywhere is also going to be

trying to point towards that. I think they said that he needed

the fitness out of the Rebel stakes, and hopefully will be

better in the Arkansas Derby. So, we'll see if the my resource

can get it done for them but but yeah, it's going to be exciting.

And I mean, the jury trial heats up from here.

We've got some big race points races coming up and then We get

into the hundred-point races which is basically a winner in

right at that point. Yep.

Yeah so it's been recently like high 30s, low 40s gets you into

the Derby. So generally speaking, if you

can catch one of these 50s or obviously the whole point you're

gonna get you for sure. Yeah, the ones that are coming

up, so it's going to be big and this weekend is going to be

huge. As far as you know, we're to, we

are just about two months out from the Kentucky Derby.

So channel is kind of where we start to find all the superstars

that will see on that first weekend in May there.

But, we'll have to go Stream Park first.

I did want to say that towards the end of the show since it's

such a big, big day. So what can we go?

Can we go to the Gotham first came here to go anywhere you

want me go? All right, well then I'm going

to go there because I am a big believer in building the show

and so we're gonna do where we have only three or two races to

talk about it. Those tracks.

And then we'll get into the big days at Gulfstream Park and

Sanity to. So let's head first to Aqueduct

on the East Coast there in New York.

My old stomping grounds. It is.

God Um J and the first race will talk about will actually be

racist 333 for you and that is the tomfool handicap and only

five horses to choose from Louis so where you going?

Yeah, is it Timeless Bounty? That scratched out the to my get

there, right? Oh, really okay, so then we have

it off thinking a bit of racism. Okay, first, I apologize.

All right, so I actually like the outside poster Chateau here,

the 425 favor with Rob achos, and Kendrick.

Carmouche won't be bothered, should be able to get the trip.

He wants if he does lose. I think it's Be the repo rocks,

the Virginia bread in the one hole.

He's won twice. An aqueduct and seems to be

training well at Belmont. So I am 51 and Tumble.

Okay. I have the five and the four

actually, and I really like the for, I talked myself into it.

So I'll definitely put be playing an Exacta box with those

two horses because obviously, Chateau we won this race last

year's. This is the horse to beat for

sure. He's run against some really,

really good company. Seems to love this distance,

he's great here he is. Coming off a lap though, he

hasn't made to start in 20. 22 what eurion so yeah.

You know, and he's the kind of horse, that's a need the lead

type and granted this as a short field.

I think I have more concerned if it was a longer field and you

know there's a little bit more that could happen in the race

with so many horses. But I love the fact that prime

factor ran really well fresh as he came back from a layoff at

Fairgrounds. He actually won that race with

Colby Hernandez aboard. Now you get lazcano on my one

concern possibly is that he did run last night with Lasix.

He is not going to be able to run.

Yep, on Lasix and This particular spot but he is 2 for

2 at this distance and sridevi does an excellent job with her

horses. I think you can chalk up the two

really bad efforts. I mean, didn't do great at

Churchill Downs. When he sprinted there and he

ran with Lasix, actually, but he ran on the Derby Trail in

Florida. He was in the Holy Bull, he was

in the fountain of youth. Those are mild and 16th races.

This horse is clearly a sprinter, they figured that out.

They gave him some time to recoup after you know,

campaigning on those big races like that and I think we're

going to see a different horse come back.

So, So I like them. I think you get, I think JD had

it up. There was like five to one on

that horse. So if he's able to upset it all

then we might be in for for a good little payday.

There you go. We all move along to the butcher

Invitational for the three-year-old.

Phillies 1 mile the distance. Of course, it does that one turn

Mi that, we talk about time and time and time and time.

Again, we're talking about Aqueduct good price tag as well

quarter million dollars and it is in Oaks prep for 50 points.

Louis where you going here? So I landed Um, this is either a

use radio days or go against kind of re she's very talented

likes. The circus I think she just ran

into a perfect trip and ride for girl with a dream.

Who to be fair I did have in the forward Galley Gulfstream Park.

I think she's probably the best Filly in this race but one of

the more interesting Parts about the naira path to the Oaks is

that they run the demoiselle in the lobby Santa over two turds

and then they come back to the butcher at one mile.

I know. Yeah.

And so I don't get it. I'm just a guy with a podcast.

So, whatever. But here we are.

Are so I'm going to go with Radio Days on top for that

reason. I think she's a 1 turn Miler and

that's going to be what she's good at seven.

Furlongs a mile that kind of thing.

I do think the four. Venti Valentine is the main

threat 72 number on that horse and they gave a little bit of

time off. But I like the works.

A lot of Road Franco Franco. Scuse me how Brave you and

Franco or no, Franco, hitting at 33% recently at Aqueduct, I'm 64

in the butcher. Okay, I it's funny that you

mention that about the distance because in handicapping this

race, I had to talk myself Out of handicapping, the Kentucky

Oaks, right? Because this is an Oaks prep

race but I almost feel like the Radio Days, Seven Furlong races

are going to lend themselves. Much better to the one turn mile

than the violin and a that you talked about but love it when

we're talking about the Kentucky, Oaks sure I'm going to

pick a horse like magic circle who has the distance experience

and seem to like it and so, I don't know.

I think there's two ways you can do that.

I mean, at Santa Anita, they used to talk about when you're

coming down the hill, right? The six and a half hours.

Long's, how they preferred horses that had been going

longer distances, going a mile and then cutting back to the six

and a half. Then going from, you know, flat

five and four and a half to the six and a half.

And so I really don't know where to go here for the sake of a

price. I'll probably go with the five

magic circle and then take the six.

Radio Days, who by the way is a half-sibling to Bowie's hero or

buoys hero. I don't really know who want to

1.5 million dollars, and was a two-time grade one winner.

So yep. Yeah.

So they're good. Lines are in the fact of the

horse ran well fresh after the layoffs, you have to like and I

agree with you and then T Valentine.

That's kind of my outlier horse. The fact that she ran so well

against Nest. Who seems to be a superstar At

Last? I incorrect.

I finished second. I mean that gave her all kinds

of credentials that I thought. All right, maybe we could take a

look at this one. Here is already running.

Well fresh before that, she was in restricted, New York road

races. But her half-sister espresso

shot actually won the same race in 2019 saw.

The Bloodlines are there for her to to get a win in the bush or

so I agree with you. I'm 56.

X4 and others. Cool.

So we teach that brings us to the Gotham that is race.

Number 10, grade 3 race, some one mile on the dirt again that

one turn mile for the three year.

Olds is a Kentucky Derby prep race which means there are 50

points on the line. I am thrilled to see the horse,

I like at 4 to 10. Okay, uh-huh.

You're going baffert New York, a I'm going Rockefeller.

Yeah. All right.

Go ahead. No, no, I mean, that's pretty

much it. I think color seems to be.

I mean, we're talking we talked about grade three races, right?

If Louis is this a grade 3? Yes.

Really. Okay.

But if you have four restricted three-year-old race, it is yes.

I think. Okay, now I agree with you that

a lot of trainers, second horses are running in this race.

Yeah. But that's because they're

running in great tubes with their fur, right?

And so, that makes it in my mind, a great three, because it

is restricted to as the Gotham upgrade to.

Oh my gosh, no, it's a great. It's a great week.

Okay. It's okay.

Yeah, yeah. I just feel like the experience

that he has but I prefer and that's both at the graded Stakes

level and Speaking of that, speaking of the horse-racing

happy hour like graded Stakes, this time that we keep track of

like maybe one day. So is he ran into grade threes

coming into this race, the Sham, and the Nashua.

He ran first and second and those were they really greeted

races grape trees? I don't know, but the fact that

he one has experienced going around a ground out of Mile and

to has a graded Stakes experience.

You've got a lot of horses in here that are stepping up from

you know restricted races list. And races and sprint races to.

So when I kind of whittled it down to, like, what have you

done for me lately, this is a horse who has won a Dorada

ground integrated stakes. And so, I kind of instead of

trying to talk myself off of the horse, I just went with what I

see on paper now, I will say to spice things up a little bit.

My horses. I will I will put behind him

will be the to glider 821. The nine who I like quite a bit.

Morello for sea bass music. I'm sure you mentioned and the

five horse dean's list for todhunter who's undefeated

Starts. But those are amazing race and

allowing stories and they're both six furlongs, right?

No, it's so I so, excuse me. If people can tell, I'm picking

horses that have run at Aqueduct previously in the top slots

because I think there's something about that track.

I think we saw it recently in the withers and those things and

so I think there's a there's a bias against horses coming from

tracks that aren't as deep as Aqueduct and so give me a couple

local horses on top. The nine of the eighth.

I'll take as mohsen and José dos.

Campos, I got it wrong again, this should be a new Ooh,

drinking make the hashtag these three, two, one along here.

So I'm hoping actually, he's gonna like that extra foot on.

He's gonna want to go a mile. The other do include, is the the

local horse. New York Red Hot Sun of Hearts.

Fun, the 8th, bubble Journey. Ran out of gas last time.

Out was ahead 7. The seven days for and couldn't

get there to the mile. I'm hoping now that that

experience will factor in triple bond is off to a 25% win rate at

Aqueduct right now. So I'm hoping that translate to

this race and if someone steps in like I'm watching though,

don't that's right. Well you didn't you definitely

likes the surface. It'll be the bad for trainee.

The 10 Rockefeller or the Pletcher.

Train Dean's List. You've been training in Florida.

I'm To trust that the track is going to be.

Its usual, heavy self and at the shippers, actually won't like

it. So I'm banking on the nine and

eight up top. This is an AVR race for me.

I went nine eight, ten and five. In that little thing in doing my

best to fill in for Mike. Megan were you on the Dean's

List? A, that's question a and

question B. Are you creeped out by it's a

list pertaining to somebody named Dean?

It is Dean apostrophe s's list. I'm not a Dean's List.

Yes. To the second and yes, the first

Actually, I did, I did pretty well in school and I know that

we did because he was like, 75 degrees.

He has like, as many degrees is he has children.

So, and language is spoken. Let me go.

Yeah, no, exactly 100%. Do you did, I put up a late

double for this one? JD I was gonna try.

I think two horses here. You put up a late double for

Turfway. Okay, my Aqueduct one is better

because it's 69. Alright.

Next track. All right, there you go.

Flying through it. Look at us.

Not even a 20 minutes. Yeah we already got one track

down. My son allowed to be, come back

on the show, just I miss you Mike.

Alright, so we're going to head to Turfway Park where we have

the Battaglia Memorial Day and that's the big race, the

Kentucky Derby prep race and it is actually going to be before

the Oaks prep. Usually I feel like we see the

Oaks prep and then the Derby prep.

So and the day, but we're not at Churchill Downs.

So that's not going to happen here but Turfway Park.

We're going to go mom 16th on the synthetic track this one.

Obviously for Street, three-year-old starts to pick

for. Also, if you're playing along at

that particular, yeah, I'm sorry, that's Kita.

I called it. Synthetic people get very

offended if you don't call it to Kita, so I'm gonna go, I got a

plate, is the bomb in here? I liked, is the bomb.

You know, I just we said this last time that he was in, he was

in the Holy bowl and my one question was, okay, this was

obviously read very well on Turf.

He kind of sort of won the Breeders Cup.

Juvenile. Sure.

After this just call of or the only running for purse money of

modern games, right? And then they ran them on the

dirt and he really hadn't done that in quite some time.

And he did not like that in his face whatsoever.

And if you look back at his form, actually, his first start

he didn't run anywhere here in seventh.

He was pretty much seven the whole time but the only other

time this horse one on dirt is when he was in the front.

Yep. Does not like getting dirt in

his face. Well he's on the defeated now.

So he doesn't really have to worry about that and I think

this surface is going to lend itself much To the turf surface

that he did so well on for the Breeders Cup.

So I got his the bomb. You got Alex of charred back on

who weight back on. Has your in the sorcerer has a

ribbon for Mendez, usually right?

I was thinking Alex was on a Breeders Cup winning your in

horse and I was thinking about that.

One ain't Keeneland but I would also encourage you to look at

bloodline in here for Brad Cox, who comes out of a Sam Houston

Race, but the fact that this horse is able to make up quite a

bit of ground and seems to be versatile can come from off the

pace, can sit a little bit closer.

Zur to it. I think is going to be a strong

tactic in here. This horse is from really,

really great Bloodlines but just hilarious.

Good pun on the name there, the second time was dream Supreme

who won a million dollars grid One winner, one to test the

ballerina and produce some really good horses as well.

So I'm on the 11, the nine, possibly for nice, Robbie Medina

who trains? He is the trainer at Blackwood

Stables obviously. He trains other horses at the

track as well but they work most of their horses at the But I

used to gallop and our horses owned by Guinness McFadden, who

is the owner of that training facility, but I like the

blinkers on for this one. See if we get a little bit more

Pace from him, he comes in with a race already entered.

We park, although he did finish behind a few horses in here.

He's an interesting play for me and he's got some fabulous bold

lines as well. That have done well on the turf.

If your can you put the odds back on duty?

I didn't have the odds. When I handicapped this welder

1440p firecracker. Yeah.

Okay. The two horses that I said, Ed.

I want to see what their odds are.

Are the four stolen base, who I kind of like, but I'm not sure,

I love it 722 but I definitely am interested in the five at

12:45. That was the other words I want

to see what the odds ended up being a nice healthy and Crystal

and arrow so that might be my long shot.

Play got it. Alright so I'm going very

differently than Megan but I think it speaks to how open It

Wide Open. This race is actually yes.

Absolutely. I think the look I'm going to

put a local horse on top of the winner of that race that you

mentioned is 80 race. It's the There.

Brad Cox which is an angle and, like a caballos actually coming

in from Texas for this one horses, entire life as a Turf

way, that's where he Stables where he trains stretch out for

the first time, last time out. And he rose to the challenge of

this, which we all call stretch out Citizen.

And I like that, he's going to want to be on the lead because

this is a race full of closures. And so I'm going to put a race

on the top because I don't know if gate two wires possible for

him, but at least I know where he's going to be.

I'm going to try to meet the main Cox.

The 11 Broadline who comes in for Fairgrounds and who I expect

to continue the Cox trend of 04:11 turf to synth and

something. The only he picks a horse that

broke Made in India to correct. Drink?

You never does that. What are you talking about?

Just thought the thing for Brad Cox who knows why bloodline has

had Lasix. It is last four races to which

actually makes me wonder how serious of a Triple Crown horse.

It's actually thinks he has exclude for me.

The 11, the Top Shipper for me is the fourth stolen base.

Terrific local couple of Mike maker.

Gerardo Corrales did run behind bloodline last time out but

maker hits at 13% to have Justice and so we'll use that

angle. Include that horse, I do like

the move to synthetic route is the bomb?

Totally agree on that McPeak. Alex's Char.

I think he's more of a turquoise that it's a horse like Mega

talked about. So meeting in the middle is

probably the way to go but that's another one of those

races. Like I talked about handicapping

at Aqueduct handicapping, the bush.

Sure, for the Butcher and not for the Oaks, right?

This is the same thing like handicap best for the John

Battaglia knocking Toby Derby. Correct.

Yeah. And as long as far as actually

become a capable Rider over this surface did with that grade one

at Keeneland that you mentioned in the fall and so usually

doesn't have horses of this quality to guide.

So I'm gonna include hate. So I'm actually 84 and 10 in

this race. Cool sweet.

Then we move on to these internet since since the

synthesis of fatty. I have not been drinking that

much listen, Dorothy the distance of a mile for the

three-year-old Phillies. It is a to turn mile, by the

way, here at her voices. We came from Aqueduct.

So, I feel like I mentioned that, but I think I'm a pretty

interesting group of horses here.

I went with the ninth bubble, Rock On David Wright.

Yeah, I do to you got the even money on Marissa's lady but I

don't know. I'm not going to take that.

I'm actually going to try to beat that horse.

My one question is a distance for bubble Rock because she did

run a mile on the treadmill. Turf once before, but it was the

Breeders Cup, juvenile fillies Turf.

And so that's just really count even this for that wealth,

rather, but only beaten by about four and a half.

Lengths, was a blanket finish. That was a crazy race.

You have to the star checked and there was a big, you know, it's

a long shot who ended up winning or whatever.

So the fact that she's had a race already, granted she did

finish pined Marissa's lady, who beat the field by six lengths,

but I like she s start off the layoffs.

I think she's going to be more fat here.

I really love the fact that this is a horse Been able to, you

know finish besides that race. If you if you cross out the

Breeders Cup she's finished only first or second and so she's

really right there. She's got some fabulous

Bloodlines her second among the great to demoiselle was third in

the honeybee produced a lot of great horses.

And so I think she certainly has all the credentials for me.

The five merces lady obviously for Billy Maury.

This 1/2 to Richard's boy who won the one of our million

dollars and was second in the Breeders Cup Turf Sprint.

So you know you've got that Turf kind of synthetic in the

Bloodlines. She also has to stretch out for

me. She has not gone the distance

further than six and a half for a long.

So when you're talking about even money on a horse, that's

never done this before. I don't know, to me, I just I

can't take that and in good conscious the other two I like

in here. I think this is a spread race

are the two, how saying that Bahama?

I think maybe. Yeah, sure, yeah, sure.

They're gonna keep has really not done much wrong.

Finished ninth beaten by two lines in the A minute cumin,

which is a super super tough race will probably sit just

behind horses has never been on the synthetic before, but has

done. Okay.

Like I said, on the grass, she's had that experience.

She's got some good ball buns for that as well.

That have grass experience, she's have two moms on strike,

who's a multiple greater Stakes Winner on Turf.

And then the one Valentina day for Ben Colebrook is 242 here at

Turfway Park 142 at the distance and she just seems to be the

horse of with local experience with distance experience.

Which I think is going to be important.

She's won her last two races out of my lower amount of 16s, so

she makes a lot of sense. If you're looking for the local,

there you go. A couple of notes humblebrag get

ready. I last year in the LA Times.

Horse racing news. Letter said that Churchill Downs

had no respect for this race because on their website, the

entirety of the spring. It was the Cincinnati Tropi.

There was no agent trophy, they will revisit this It was just

such an ally Tropi. Okay.

I also said that it's horrific as a six-and-a-half furlong

Sprint. They didn't respect the Rope row

to The Oaks at all, to changes this year to turn Mile, and it's

the same purse money as the Derby prep.

Yeah, that's a big change in. I appreciate that.

All right, thank you for reading.

And if you failed correctly, thank you for reading.

I appreciate you people. Now Implement my now Implement

my point system for the Oaks and we'll be in a better anyway.

All right, so perfect. Yeah, absolutely.

This race is Marissa's lady and everyone else I think there's a

chance. That if they stick with her and

turquoise park over the years that this race ends up being

named after her. Yeah, I think she runs itself

away for a long time and she's just dominates the fields for a

very, very long time. I think she's talented, she

loves the surface. I'm going to play the 85 double

I'm here. I think it's the only way to get

out any value out of Marissa's, Lady by the way, Billy Maury and

Ralph. Lauren Baker on overheating at a

paltry 62 percent right now, and Bill Moore takes his horses.

Sprint around at 24%, give me that all day.

I It's even money, but I wouldn't play the late before

because I think she's going to take up so much money in the

tickets, unless you think you can beat her that.

Definitely play the pig for. Yeah, I think I could be wrong

on this, but I'm pretty sure Billy Murray spent quite a bit

of time in Northern California before he came to Southern

California, because you ran horses there when I was there,

but I'm pretty sure that's what I remember.

And so in that he certainly knows, I think like a synthetic

type of a horse, granted, no services are exactly the same

right, sir. But I mean, the fact that he's

been able to do so well at Turfway park, I think lends

itself to his prior experience at some other race tracks with

synthetic surfaces, all right that's gonna do it for job,

Battaglia Memorial Day although you had a daily double Louis.

Yeah again that was the jdk put that back up?

That was the oh gosh. I lost my notes.

The 8 erasing, the five Marissa's lady looks like and

I'll make the mic joke here. It will be 80 percent Daily

Double if they fill the A trophy for Skyline Chili.

All right, there we go, which is not actually chili.

Okay, let's give them Rick. Yeah, I've never had Skyline

Chili? Yeah, that's because you have

good taste. Yes to go.

Talk to the dog food aisle. Yeah, right.

And put cinnamon. Okay, gross.

Yeah. Anyways, let's go to some place

that they have good food. Let's go to Gulfstream Park.

So for the Fountain of Youth Day, super big day out there, I

mean the amount of money that they're giving away in these

races is unbelievable. And man, we have All Kinds of

Kinds here. This was like a Breeders Cup

day, like a mini Breeders Cup day at Gulfstream Park.

A little bit in the first place. We'll start with his recent 43

which is the Canadians. Take Semana 16th on the turf for

horses for years old and up a hundred and fifty thousand

dollars. This is, in fact a great 3, is

it a grade 3? Louis.

Oh, Yes, yes, it is. Your make this whole day is full

of really great courses, and it's a governor thought about

that. I'm happy to see this.

I think it's hard not to love the to never surprise here.

Fresh Off challenging Colonel, Liam in the, in the Pegasus

World Cup Turf. I think he goes actually to the

front, never looks back, but filling out my Trifecta for this

race, which I shouldn't do. Since we have somebody racist, I

think likely will be the for me, remission.

Who's three friendly? Three lifetime, it gold at a

Gulfstream. Scuse me, Of course 8:00 to 1:00

in the morning line. Pressing style, should do well

in this company, a major jockey upgrade on the six, Clear

Vision, who picks up Jose Ortiz, one the tropical turf at

Gulfstream Park in January, grade 3, I include that horse on

my Exotics as well and then of course there is the first time

North American angle with the seven Mooyah Judge Brown of the

first time North American starter somewhere in the high

30s. Percentages 7.

There you go. We'll see.

But don't include that horses at your own Peril.

I'm going to play two dollar trifecta to with 467 that is

only for First place, I am much the same as you.

I mean, I had the to never surprised on top.

I think this is the speed horse. I agree with you.

I think this horse never looks back.

I really, I will say this. I did have to reach to find any

other horses in here and the two others that I came up with for

like a top 3 was the seven just a little more Chad Brown.

But what I will say about this is that those words is not race

since September of last year that being said, Chad Brown

brings horses back off a layoff to win at 24 percent which is

Still really really high but I I mean I'm not the biggest

International horse racing person in the world was not

running, a big truck did run and some some races that were okay,

right? But I don't know that this is

the international Forum that we see come over and you're like oh

done deal, Chad Brown International ship or whatever

like it's the layoffs for me. It's the you know she wasn't

even really winning at the allowance level at some like

okay tracks and so I don't know. I'm not totally convinced that

He said there have been some pretty snazzy workouts from him

at Palmetto straining Center but yeah, I don't know, I went with

the 723, the three were seated mentioned, English G4, G motion.

And again, I had to kind of reach here to find some others.

I think this is a possible single if you're playing along

with a few hours and you just kind of eat the chalk and move

on, I will say and it's tough to say, see this from the past

performances, but the seven is going to be a very deep closer

in this race based on. Yeah, some other races and going

over an American surface for the first time, his only ever LED

once they tried on the lead at Deauville back in 2020 and that

was the one bad race beaten 13. And a quarter there.

Everything else has been a deep deep closed.

So I will, I will call you guys out though.

That it was a great three undoubtedly.

And then you you struggled to find horses, you liked in the

field. So, no.

Is it great three, but never surprise is the grade 3 winners.

Never surprise, just for its second of the great one, get out

of here. I know.

So I mean, I just, I stopped looking like, I stopped reading

the other horses after the fact. But yeah, I see what you're

saying. I see what you're saying on that

JD and it's, you know, but still I feel like this caliber, of

course, is bit for a green room. The six American base horses,

have 90 speed figures a better. This is a great to get out here.

And you're like and Noble in Dear Anne, in the Kentucky

Derby. There you go.

I love it. All right, we will move along to

race number. Bubba Ray's mother.

Duh, duh what is it with? Everyone 1 and 3/8 miles on the

turf course so like a really long Really and yeah the start

of the pick for as well, a 50-cent pick for huge day.

Like I said, so I mean by this point I feel like you had you

still have so much racing to go. There are 13 races, unbelievable

day, at Gulfstream Park. I took a few in here Louis, I

don't know about you but I went six five two and eight with the

six being Mezcal for Todd Pletcher, the five Virginia Joy.

The sewers Harajuku for grab motion who comes from off the

pace and then the eighth A horse, which was a beautiful

lover for herself. Come on.

What do you think? You and I agree that this is a

spread race as usual? We disagree on which horses are

part of the thread, I love and I haven't the Opry on say which is

running Jeremy. Where you at Gulfstream Park,

two of those finishers are back here within ahead eight,

beautiful lover, nine Sorel, both of which I expect to come

back and run. Well, so I have them on top.

Chad Brown has the five Virginia Joy coming in off, a long layoff

where he does very well, the to Howard Two comes in off a close.

Second behind always shopping in late.

December, great, at Gulfstream Park man.

Promotions numbers are pretty bad recently, so I'm actually

going to leave him out 17%. Yep.

Sucks 8, 9 & 5, what does not that bad?

That's pretty good, especially when you don't cheat.

Yeah, I mean yeah that's what I'm saying.

He's doing it the right way. Oh my gosh, I love Grand motion,

I think it's great. Alright, so there you go.

I mean basically. A all between the to that point.

So we'll move along to the Oaks prep, which is raised over 6.

That is the devoted a lot of great to avenge for

three-year-old. Phillies going to go one mile

again. A 1 turn mile just to specify

because people love that Louis, would you go with her?

I'm gonna stick with my girl girl, with a dream.

We did me write the forward Galley, 521, she passed the

seven for a long test soil soon. She'll passionately one mile,

test Works recently have been super good.

So that shows me, she came out of that research.

Well, I trust, I trust the Brad Cox path to the Oaks, for sure,

she's on top. I think the other include is the

pleasure train to classy. Addition three starts, three

wins this far in her career, all the races were in New York, but

she's been training in Florida. I read a board for all of her

starts. I think they're really think.

There's something there. The six cocktail moments, 52

1142 lifetime. Coming out of a to turn third

place finish at Fairgrounds gets back to one.

Turn here, having broken her maiden at the highest level at

74. Owens at Churchill Downs.

The creek is the kick. Moved, her to Gulfstream Park at

the beginning of February, clearly pointing to this race.

So I'm 326 in the devoted it. Okay II like that.

I mean I I'm right there with you.

I certainly think that the three girl with a dream is the one to

do it. And again this is kind of one of

those races where you really have to handicapped for this

race. You've got a lot of horses that

are stretching out girl with a dream, is one of them.

She has never gone the distance of a mile before.

So I think you look more towards the Ford.

Gal at this track seven furlongs One turn race.

She's going to do that again here.

And yeah, she just, she seems to be the worst feet, but again,

she has never gone around a ground, I picked up the six as

well. Cocktail moments for similar

reasons, just the fact that, you know, she was so dominant

winning at Churchill Downs, over the seven, furlongs again, one,

two, turn by nine legs that day. I just, that was a pretty decent

field of horses and then the one horse Kathleen.

Oh interesting to me for Suge McGahee.

One. Last time going a mile here at

Gulfstream Park in a Stakes Race by eight legs actually, put the

source s right behind us girl with a dream but she coming off

just a little bit of a freshening she's undefeated so

far. She also is a horse that comes

from off the pace and I don't exactly know how this is going

to set up here. So she does look like, she's

gonna need something to run unless they change Style on her.

But she, in my opinion is already proven herself that she

can go this distance and I think she's bread to go further.

To her third Dem pretty and smart actually produce Cupid who

won 1.7 million dollars while the Gold Cup and a few others

and had some the rebel Stakes to.

So I think that this is definitely a Philly to watch if

not for this race which I think she has a pretty good chance of

being right there with a horse like girl with a dream then want

to watch for the future. So cool about sex for me so I

don't want to have to defend a horse with fox in the name but

did and why Watch the Susan's girl or the my dear girl last

year. I know that's Florida, bread

company but the for outfoxed had two of the most impressive

performances. You're going to see from a two

year old Filly against lesser competition, but wins by 13 and

a half and nine and a quarter comeback in the debut.

When a statement a, I like the horse other than one fact that

I'll give you guys Belmont and Tyler 0 for their last 17.

Yep. That's so crazy.

It is crazy. Either wins at 19% Belmonts,

buying it. 16% when I'm not watching and so yeah.

Last week, we talked about Brad Cox and Johnny V were like 0 for

their last nine or something. So yeah, I mean, it happens for

sure that's so crazy. All right, so JD Fox on the fox

raised over seven is the Palm Beach.

One mile on the turf course and I went to six in here Royal

spirits, who I believe is a favorite at 1:55, right?

Yeah. And I really do think this is a

horse that's It's a really solid Contender.

I think you could go. It's a possible single for me.

I used the 12 and 9 also. So I kind of went our, if I'm

going to go a little bit deeper on the ticket, I'll add the 1.

And then, if I just want to spend all my money, I will add

the two horse and the nine. Red danger for Brian Lynch

there. But Louis, what do you think

man? I actually love Royal Spirit

here. Broke his Maiden goes into that

race. Almost won first time against

winners in a graded Stakes. Is Triple Crown nominated which

tells you what the ownership? Thanks to this horse.

And so I look for a little Clues like that, but I'm captain

younger horses. What is the trajectory that the

ownership bought of this horse? They obviously had really big

things. Royal spirit is actually a

single for me in the sequence. Okay, yeah, I agree with that.

I mean II think, thats, if you're looking to keep those

tickets a little bit shorter, we talked about the horse earlier,

whose name. I just forgot.

Who and I both agree with the the Todd Pletcher horse, right?

Spirit you. And I talked about two races in

a row, where it might be a little bit more open.

Maybe it's not a devotee of dividing it depending on how you

feel. But it allows you full of the

play picks three for example, to really spread in that in the

very one. And then to, you know, kind of

make your ticket a little bit smaller as you go along.

I agree. Pick up three seasons.

Ooh, Hickory season race number 9, it is the great three honey

Factor. Phillies America's borders old

up, one mile on the turf. Louis, could you go with here?

I have 72 different horse. Of this race and so I think one

of ten letter 11 that that's right, I get hurt other horses.

The you know race is wide open when the favorite 722 it hasn't

won in tears, right? So the that favorite is alms who

ran very well in the Pegasus World Cup Philly, murph's serve.

No one was reading where you glory that day.

So that's not her fault. I think you absolutely include

her. The three jousters coming in off

the layoffs and pledge was good at that.

So that's an include. The five bipartisanship has the

best speed figures in the A group.

So I include their the six gift list is coming off runs and

graded company's second off the layoffs.

So I'm gold gift list as well. And then the eight laka Daka his

second time up in the US and against lesser company here.

So, I am 73 568. If, and when we talk about this

horse, the eighth ever again, on this show, you have to pronounce

it like that. That is non-negotiable, you love

that. You love the brazel over here

don't you know? Actually I mean, I know she did.

Really church over there. Yeah, yeah.

I don't know, I didn't, I would 369.

I actually didn't use alms. I feel like this is a race where

you could truly. And if you are going to sing all

those, other two races, maybe you have the opportunity to

spread in here a little bit more, but I really like, just

right here, I know that the connections had very, very high

hopes for this horse and, you know, he just kind of

disappointed a couple of times. I don't know if he needed that

race. At Belmont Marie kind of got

passed at the end and what happened.

He was caring 124 pounds. Lost time, he's going to get

back down to 118 here and the ninth gonna win nine regret.

The three who talked about in Italian, its Chad and I read.

What am I doing? Oh, what you just said.

You just said, yeah, yeah, but I can go on to the nine already

talked about this. Come on, let's go.

Walk it out. All right, all right, all right.

This person runs into July of 2021.

Those question, mark there. The six gift list to Louis

mention for Brian Lynch and Julian's a program.

They, you know if it is worth less, I am and Pegasus whatever.

The course, my to meet at, a probably got a little bit of an

ass out of there and the 9 in Italian.

Thank you. JD.

What are the odds on that horse? And that horse 82?

When I think for that grabbing my God you gotta love it. 821 on

a chat and irad. There's no chance.

Yeah, a long First time out. And then he's won his last two

races by three and four links consecutively.

I mean, you know, what else do we need here?

I get you first. All right, this field

collectively since May has won a listed steak and a grade 3 is

this a great three race whole. The favorite hasn't wanted two

years. That was not a great and I

apologize that the race named after you JD is not is not a

great tree. No, I'd be named after my wife.

Lucy. Come on, ha, ha ha obviously,

right? Come on.

Gotta love it. All right, well, that brings us

to the race, a 10, which is the go through perk.

Mi 1 mile, you guessed it on the dirt for horses for years old,

two hundred thousand dollars. It's just a rematch me.

This race is actually really boring.

I think I have the three and the four Speakers Corner and

fearless. Who did finish one and two last

time in the friend who Over here at Gulfstream Park.

I just I didn't go outside of it.

I just thought. Yeah, it's got to be one of

those do again. I think the only other play

here. I greet you.

By the way, I think it's replay the Hooper.

I literally wrote expecting a reason.

Think it's gonna be the exact same thing.

Yeah, the five injunction ran really.

Well, it would at Churchill Downs before the layoffs Trader,

Carla bucka, bucka raised uh scuse me hits off the layoffs at

18 percent and the number on on Injunction is 22 1, Joel.

Rosario, I'm not saying that's Louise long shop to damn it.

That's that's a number man. And so if that horse and you

know what, any of them, I actually love that.

Any you not bleep it lose long, shot of the week injunction the

five. Let's go getting back to that

form that we saw in November at Churchill Downs, has won over

dirt. We're trying to get back to some

dirt form here. Super high level before.

Or let's go injunction and there's my long shot.

Let's go. I totally agree that such a

good, long shot. No.

I mean, before I bring on a special guest, I will say, are

you at all worried? That the horse is drawn inside

of New York traffic or those just 2020 memes and they're

going to stay in 2000. I don't know what to say.

I don't know what to do with that horse.

Yeah, 18th birthday is over for us.

We got, we went out to a real nice dinner and then we got

dumped for the boyfriend. So, wow, reject that.

Yes, yes, we gotta get our favorite restaurant, which was,

which is awesome. So it's good dinner.

There you go. What's your restaurant

Brennan's? Catch 23.

Oh, okay, we went there for Valentine's Day.

It is, I've never had a bad meal there.

Everything is always just fantastic.

So awesome, really gets to you. All right, well, Mike, we you

missed a meeting tonight, since all three of us are together.

We can make the announcement on area.

Thank you. It we're teaming up.

Was that you don't want to them? No let's wait.

Okay, will do Mom, I'm really excited about it so we forgot

about the intro music because you weren't here and we don't

know how he's loved it so I just played it off my phone.

It was basically the same It's fine intro, music uou.

Yeah see any other extraneous matter is you can't.

You cannot leave us revise the beauty here in line to be fair.

We've been through the why we are not completely off the

rails. We've been through 12 races

already and it's 847, sori 50. That's pretty guys are moving to

New Orleans because you don't have my wit and all of my

little, quips and lecture research backs about the races,

sorry, I don't know your history.

I tried, I tried Mike. I gave I gave what I felt were

two solid Mike isms to break things up, man.

That's true. Yeah, I had to go back and

listen in while we were downtown and actually we were leaving the

restaurant and Don't know where the restaurant is across the

street from the seelbach. And so we had to go towards

Fourth Street Live and then come down by the cathedral and we got

actually got stuck behind the protesters.

Hmm. Oh, I was wondering if that was

going to be a thing. It wasn't, it wasn't a ton of

protesters, but we did get caught up with the light for a

little bit, and then we kind of swung around.

And actually, I drove past the special location where I

thought, you guys might be just a case of you all were still

there. Wait, wait a minute.

What, um, what are we protesting now?

The the Brianna Taylor officer bread.

Hankinson was found not guilty. Today, got it while I'm out of

the loop. Yeah, well, he left me, just

like, let me just, let me just might drop out of the loop on

the show. Wow, clear.

We weren't protesting, you're not fully support, the people

who were protesting for, you know, because this is free

speech and do whatever you want to do.

But we did get caught in traffic there.

So yeah. Louis like did he that that just

wings of whatever change in Vice City was on just died.

Right? Megan that's exactly what

happened right there, right. Oh my God.

Now I gotta try to stop now you gotta be here.

Yeah I was just going to pop up and say hi the show again.

Jeez, I don't work, I know. All right.

We'll just give me a second while I pull up.

And what did y'all just talked about?

We're gonna make it in like an hour and ten minutes maybe here.

Yeah, here it is. Sorry.

Sorry. He's back.

Horrific timing. Guess that's my fault.

Sorry, yes. Yeah, religion protesters lose.

Like I'm out, it's protesting this podcast.

I think the only time I got arrested was protesting so

really absolute. Wow.

Okay yeah I protested the Iraq whatever I was right.

But yeah, I laid down in the street before the Iraq War.

Black traffic and got arrested today.

Go there it is. He's not stupid.

I think there's a good chance that might make your wins this

race. I'm just gonna throw it out

there. I agree with you.

So actually there are 11 runners in this field.

Pletcher trains. Three of them.

Mike Baker trains. Five of them.

They make up eight of the 11 horses.

So yeah, I mean if you could only just been a trainer right

you'd have pretty good odds and is ridiculous.

Raised Mike, you staying on for this.

Yeah, I'm gonna let you guys finish up and let us do our

thing. Yeah, I just want to pop in and

say hi. Alright.

Well, let us, let us know what you think of art are trying to

do the show without you. Yeah, I'm sure you guys are

doing great. All right.

Well, happy birthday idea. All right.

So Hard single here with a bond. The one.

Yes, Mike. Mike maker.

Go ahead. Get your checks for second third

fourth and fifth but a bond feels like maybe I have in my

notes. The most obvious single of the

weekend. I mean yeah I thought about

maybe adding the aid but I agree with you.

I think this is a one and move on and I don't think the source

will be 85. I think it would be much lower

than that when we get to post time.

There you go. Sweet.

Alright, the Fountain of Youth recent, 12.

This is the Kentucky Derby prep race for 50 points for straight

three year. Olds obviously amount of 16th of

distance that has two turns. I want to know who you like the

Wii. All right, so this was another

of the abr's and I went to eight six and four.

So play the evens in this race apparently.

Okay I have I have a to simplification on top.

It s in the Holy Bull has been working really great since then

I like or Jose Ortiz getting them out here.

So I think you'll get a much better ride.

I really like him. Here I have the pleasure size 8,

Emmanuel 321, I think he's. So I think I agree with the

morning line maker actually in the second spot two-time winner

in a young career has to turn. Experience of Tampa has been

working, great as well. I've got the six Rattle and Roll

82. Yeah, it's one on the line.

This is more of a wild card, third for me, given the layoffs.

This is a 210 thousand dollar purchase one, the fraternity.

But hey this is stretch out season.

So who knows, this isn't in the four spot.

I do have the, for, in due time, he's going to have to go to

turns for the first time again, stretch out, Susan one.

Easily over a mile against winners.

Last time Gulfstream Park has a little bit of a feel of white.

A Barrio to me if that means anything to people.

So I'm to eat six and four. We could not be any more

different. I I love this sex in here.

Rattle and Roll is my top pick 12 to 1.

I thought this horse was super talented.

That came when he read in the Breeders, Futurity the grade One

race. He that reset up.

Well, for closers, he was came from off the pace.

So I You've got that against them, I guess, but he got hurt

after that, but this horse was from all the talking right after

that race. He was supposed to be the

favorite for the Breeders Cup. Juvenile.

I'm pretty sure or at least a main contender in there and he

got her at the gave him some time off.

He is come back. And the workouts for the source

of an unbelievable, you got kind of McPeak.

Obviously he knows what he's doing with these types of horses

with three-year-olds and graded stakes races, he wins at 17%.

You've got Brian Hernandez Junior who rides his horse and I

would assume chose to ride this horse.

Straight. Because this is one of a few

that he could have picked at least from the can't even feed

barn with him being the writer on his, the bomb as well.

Who will see, run with Alex, a charge up there at Turfway Park,

but yeah, I like Rattle and Roll a lot and I like the 12:48 price

even more. So I'm going to go there.

I then added the 12 horse in here who is scratched.

Ah never mind didn't see that. The three howling time for Dale.

Romans is interesting, a horse you performed really well at

Churchill Downs. He's got to do some running

outside. That so he's workouts have been

unbelievable and the fact that he's had some good experience at

a router ground, I think is very helpful.

The eight horse who I think you mentioned a manual data so far

for Todd Pletcher want to go stream.

Want a great workout. Seems like this horse is ready

to go for a race like this, the ten horse who is Giant game for

Del Rio, by the way, real quick Megan.

I love this is one of my favorite things about the show

you like while we couldn't be more different.

In two of your top, three horses, with one of them being

scratched were two horses that I mentioned.

Keep going. Okay, well I didn't know that

word. Oh scratch that the time Giant

game, we talked about this one. I was really disappointed by

what he did volleyball volleyball needless is specific

judgment. That is a rule of the show I

just read that was well deserved deals portrait if you want

people's numbers with she said well deserved.

Yeah she think the dill Romans horse.

What are we doing? I mean that guy I mean he's done

he's done what he's done. There's like that one time where

like, Todd Pletcher didn't have a bunch of horses going to the

derby more, like what? But yeah.

No, I think Giant game. S start off the layoffs.

I am curious to see what we get from this horse and I'd like to

13. Who I guess Drazen now, assuming

right? Don't do that.

So Gault for the Mantra in the Holy Bull last time, finished

fourth behind some horses that you mentioned by tomorrow.

Obviously won that race but he's got some pretty good numbers and

I don't think he had the smoothest trip.

Last time. Going mom 16th there.

Go streams. So So if you just take his route

races on the dirt, his other two were a Turf race, we're gonna

perform well and his friend race for he didn't perform well, but

if you think just those two route races on the dirt, I think

he's a solid entry, especially a cult.

If cult weren't in the 12th hole, I think I'd agree with

you. I think it's gonna just having

to do all that work is going to end up like flowers.

Are you maybe? You don't know, but even I think

even with your well, like, fourth place is probably where

he's gonna end up again. Just it's so haunted and that go

stream first turn. You know what I'm talking about.

It's so fast. I really like this race.

I think this is a super exciting.

Kentucky Derby preparation without me.

Well, some good. Yeah, I agree that.

All right, sweet. We're going to end the day with

Reese a 13. The Here Comes the Bride, one

mile on the turf and it is four hundred and twenty-five thousand

dollars for the three-year-old Phillies.

Would you like a Louis spread baby spread?

Yeah, I agree. I think we're done here 722 as

well, isn't it? Yeah, I have Horses up top in no

particular order. Okay, 2 3, 4, 5 and 12.

So I am going against opaline on this race actually.

So I am such a bad friend. Yeah, yeah, I got 2548.

So I'm right there with you all you have similar top three.

That's great. So yeah, so yeah, I think

mischievous kiss. Has a serious shot and then

Diamond while has when that horse runs, well it actually is

good. It's nice to see.

Let's see. We're on back on horses,

actually. It's going to see that he's back

from his injury but then spent arella with a grand motion who I

besmirched earlier in the show and then of course the five

beside herself as a pleasure I read which is makes essentially

just an automatic include and then the twelve in this race in

the your ghost, bride is Leah Marina.

Who has been running at very high level, Maiden special

weight company one in Belmont, then came back and won.

It elicits takes a Gulfstream Park over from go.

So those are my five horses up top.

Three. All right.

And I am 2548 for many of the same reasons, so I am right

there with you. All right, that's what your goal

tree. And one more track hoof left to

go and that is an Anita Park. We have a big cat day at Santa

Anita. So what's happening with the

weather now? All right, so this is hives.

I'll let JT jump off because I want to, I want to besmirch JD

but I also want to defend JD because JD put in the show notes

here and he hasn't removed them. Prepare for wet weather, they

canceled Friday's card as it's supposed to rain all day on

Friday, and there's a 40% chance of rain on Saturday, all of

those things, when he wrote them were true and then three hours

later they were like, yeah, it's not going to be a later.

They're like, no, we're good. We just heated up our sales in

the grocery stores. I think they're actually just

trying to get those golden, our Bets with Golden Gate on Monday

because that's like because that's the only way I make money

today. Go.

Matt. Okay.

All right. But it is interesting because it

because Golden Gate canceled Saturday to get out of the way,

a big cap day and move their card to Monday.

And then said, oh, you know what to spice up.

One day, we're gonna have a pick six mandatory payout.

And then 10 minutes, we're gonna run on, man, what is that going

to do to Turf? Paradise is handle?

They are owned by the same company so happy that they're

actually doing the golden, our bets.

Because I mean the people will be paying attention to both,

which is what we should also mention that there is a cross

country between Gulf Stream and Santa Anita, all dirt, Pick 5

and there is an altar 5 as well. Yeah, it's very cool.

It's a good idea. We're talking about all of those

races sounds good three. Well, I guess, all right, well

we have plenty of sake sources talk about here.

So we'll dive into that. Sorry, quick really quick.

With the take on those. Like is like 12%.

They're actually really good. Let's keep going outside.

Sweet. I like it.

So. I hadn't met though the grape

juice and Carlos, that's a back handle, seven furlongs.

It will be Grace. Number four, on Saturday for

horses for years old. And up, I went with the four

horse in here Saison. Quick, besmirch moment of the

Daily Racing Form. Why for at California only have?

We just decided not to put in sale prices and what sale the

horse came from? Because I remember from my

memory that stays on was purchased for three point, six,

five million dollar H - and sale as a two-year-old but somehow

that just isn't in here like it's just not any tricks to sold

for like half a million dollars at chameleon at all the other

tracks that they have. You've got the regular thing

where it says, what color the horses, the gender and the age

next to it, it should say where there's is purchase whatever

from what auction and for, how much.

But apparently it's animated that's not a thing even though

one of the biggest crises horses is running and that it stays on

really like this person. Here I'm like, thank you go with

eight Rings. Possibly as Well but I think the

distance might be too short and then the nine who is shooter

shoot? I don't know.

I like kind of like but I think Cezanne comes in and redeems

himself. I mean at this point he needs to

write because they purchase them for three point six five million

dollars. He is currently made a hundred

and forty seven thousand dollars which means he has made four

percent of this first money back.

All right, Megan and I totally disagree here.

All right, I'm going to try to beat the baffert here because I

think Cezanne sucks. And I'm gonna go with, I'm gonna

go with the one Brickyard ride and the nine shoot and running

for a million years. I think if the race is 7 for a

long students, shoot wins last time out in the Palos Verde,

Brickyard ride is hot this year so I'm hoping that form repeats.

I'm one in nine in the San Carlos, okay?

Alright question already. Yeah, why would you name a

horse? Alien Pride that was bred in

Kentucky, that has no Canadian lineage whatsoever and has only

ran in California. Just has the dance the owners

could hear Canadian Frontier. Yeah, I miss that.

But that's the only. I don't know.

Baron see Jones, former governor governor Kentucky?

I remember what he was. He was sweet bread, but ki-moon

said, no, I know, but I'm wondering how that's right.

Well, see that's what I don't know because I can't see the

Prices and it's for two hundred fifty thousand dollars.

So that would have been not in training and I see what have

been nice to know. Brick is habit.

So hashtag, maybe change PP Center.

I cannot for the life of me, had a cat from prison that peepees.

I will. I will drown myself in my Greek.

I can't, I want answers for his millions moment here and I will,

I will choose none of the above And maybe if you can get that

reference, I don't know. I dropped a movie reference.

You guys should be proud. Megan, I don't know what's going

on. Nope, but I appreciate the

effort. Question mark.

Okay, I mean, I don't mean going to Vegas is coming off a layup.

I don't know what to do with that.

They're the worst teams had the best form, technically is a

grade one winner, although, I don't know how grade one that

grade one was. And, you know, has been in

plenty of graded stakes races, mucho unusual loves, and Anita's

64 13, here at this distances for 49.

So, I mean, I don't know horse, for course, and then the six

horse, I think, just for a price, right?

81 on Bastion Court. They're taking the blinkers off,

has just been running too tough. I think they gave the hoarsely.

62 starts back didn't perform very well.

Also going to get a little less distance to work with.

I'm curious to see how this horse performs over the flat

mile. When it's not a great one which

is what happened last time. Obviously they had the blinkers

on for the last race only and now they're taking the back off

so that was obviously a failed experiment.

You get Juan Hernandez aboard who wins at 21% does pretty.

Well was just born Mike McCarthy is A good trainer.

We see him bring horses, you know, two big races plenty of

times. I'm not usually a huge fan of

the horses that come over from Brazil in general or Argentina.

Sometimes we see a lot of those in California.

And I, it's very rare that I'm a huge fan of one, but I will say,

I'm curious with this horse, with the class drop, but it's a

big gamble. Which is why the horse is

totally gone. Again, I disagree with Megan

theme building. I'm going to try to beat the

fire going to Vegas wasn't great in November Richard Balter sits

at 10% off the layoffs. Hard pass for me so give me the

11. Bujold usual Megan and I

actually agree they're trying to be on top six like time wins at

Santa Anita for that horse. I'm also going to glue the five

legs Galore homes, surprise - mentioned by for seven lifetimes

and Anita. I also like the eighth

canoodling at 12:48 can, that's a nice tasty.

Number one, the great three megahertz over a mile with a

front running style last time, eleven five and eight for me in

the blood vessel one thing. I'll add If I had a producers

pick this week, it would be the seven avenue de France in this

spot. Just finished third behind

canoodling in the MHz. But really, this is going to be

a much faster pace and you look at what this horse does when it

actually has pasted to run into which it did not under MHz, it

did not again gate you know you go back to Golden Gate over the

summer and some earlier times I mean legs go Laura's gonna go

flying and canoodling best probably towards the front end

as well. I think for Or a Turf mile.

I think this is going to be pretty spicy up front, and I

think Avenue to France who is about as well bred, as you could

possibly be for sure. Router on the turf with that

great Royal. That's a royal British pedigree

there. So, maybe on the show long

enough, that we've talked about seven times because I agree with

you. There is a bit of pace in here

mucho, and usually, usually sits right behind, but can be right

there. Going to This is quick Jovanna,

cos that's running is done on the front-end canoodling, you

mentioned and then the two horses here as well.

Tony an those are all pretty quick courses so I do think

there's going to be some more paste or not.

I also the fact that and Judy mentioned the last race, the

pace obviously been set up, this works at a ton of trouble in

that race as well. And so if she's able to work

out, a cleaner trip when you get dredging back on here, who's had

some tests for? What are the odds on the 7 horse

again? So, 15 one morning one 12:45.

So it's worth using to a reminder to in their job, Anika,

who you mentioned, lost a Rumba, or by a neck in the El Camino

rail Derby. If she, if she gets another two

steps we never hear from Barbara.

Slavin I'm serious. Like that's she's not quality.

Yeah. Yeah well in the fact obviously

this is a turf reso turf synthetic.

She's had plenty of experience on that before I like it.

All right cool we will move right?

On to the San Felipe, which is the Kentucky Derby prep race for

50 points, four hundred thousand dollars on the line straight

through year. Olds obviously amount of the

16th on the dirt and this agreed to that starts off the Pick 6,

here at Santa Anita. I I just, I went 36.

I think the three loves this distance, as one before at it

and then Forbidden Kingdom, you know, finished ahead of

Pinehurst. Who won the Saudi Derby for,

whatever that's worth but has yet to stretch out to a router

ground. Holy crap, Megan and I are

totally the same. I mean, where else?

You gonna go in here? Honest?

No no, no, but Armagnac, I agree with you.

By the way, I didn't know I was going to be upset minded until I

saw the line Focus made in last time out over to turns keeps

Johnny V, by the way there. Now hitting it 53% recently and

then Mandela bananas I agree with you.

Miguel Hernandez is on the six Forbidden Kingdom.

Let's The graphic is stretch out system, it's all going to find

out if that horse can stretch out.

And then the favorite is the five, doppelganger who I have

third in this race ran forth in the San Vicente last time out,

classic baffert training program.

However, Pfeiffer long six furlongs time for like, 6 for

lunch. That horse has a workout

machine. So I'm interested.

If if doppelganger wins this race and is like good luck,

everybody else, you know, that's that will be assigned to me with

how Baffert likes to work his three-year-old horses?

Yes, stretch houses and we go. So this was another, this was

the last of the ABR picks. I had to do.

I went 3657 in this recipe yai chai mean I guess I agree with

you Megan. I got three on software Armagnac

for sure. I really, I mean I guess I'll

add the five like foreign words but maybe not, right?

Wow, that is crazy. Okay it also talked about this

on the show to the other cocks. It's the other Bradford it's the

other brown, right? It on TV on board exams.

Already won around a ground. What's right?

And I did it because doppelgangers had Pratt for the

other rides and so, it's an obvious clear take.

But man would baffert's clear when he's, when he serious about

a Derby Contender. Johnny D's aboard and that's,

that's, yeah, for sure. Correct, gosh.

That's real of handicapping without the odds.

Sometimes is because, yeah, yeah, I agree that happened to

me too because I was like, oh five to 10.

Yeah, please. Let's go.

Yeah, I don't need a place. All right, I doubt if I'd won by

the way, there's no chance. Now if only there were fixed

odds. All right, so recent 49 will be

the grade one. Beholder mile one mile on the

dirt for Phil. He's a poor years old and up for

half a mil and I got I mean, I got the six, I got on the top

nice, the three. Maybe I guess my mighty or

scratches that were saying and the one question mark, I mean, I

called varta. When she was the other bats.

You did. Yes.

Was Calypso and her and I like part of better in the Starlet

but that wasn't LaSalle and it was a long time ago and we're

not there now. So this works is not run since

2020. So she's had a bit of time off.

And I mean baffert bring sources.

Let me just say this, never brings us back to win at 34%.

When they were turning off of laughs.

After 180 days, Megan, is that good?

Or is that excellent? That's very good.

It's extremely good. So like, I mean, my point might

be moot here. The one thing with Is on Bhutan,

is that she has not done well over a flat Mi.

She has traditionally preferred model of 16th mild and eight.

She's actually over one at this distance.

So very curious that kind of McPeak.

You know, brings her out here. I would assume it's for the

money part of it, right for trying to get that great one,

which can make them are very, very valuable.

And she is a distance worse. So, as long as the she can kind

of set things up on the, I don't know.

We'll see. Megan?

Who won this race last year? Don't remember Swiss skydiver.

What was Swiss guy down going Milan?

Milan the Nathan 3/16. Yeah, so I'm going to be a wuss.

I'm going to use the 3 and the 6.

Any McPeak did ships with skydiver in here and beat as

time goes by. Literally the same horse in this

race last year, so I think he has a good feel for this one.

I think that taking a horse who's great at two turns, so

skydiver, frankly, as good as a filly, as we've had the last 20

years ago in Turns, he feels that way about on boot on here.

Pretty clearly. And so I hate to do this, but

I'm using two horses here. 36, I bet I agree with you and I

honestly I feel like you can possibly even single because as

we talked about who they do it, right?

And technically as time goes by has been in more grade, 1 grade

2 races, then on the spot has gone has been in.

I mean, she's been in a lot too, but you know, she just want to

agreed to and she's been in some grade threes and whatever and

but look at who was in those races, you've got she dares, The

devil Swiss skydiver was in there.

Look, true school was in there and you know, as time goes by

face. Some of those words is she to

face the true Treasures being by 13 legs.

She did say she's their tears. The devil should be in by 14

links. You know, she finished second to

Suicide skydiver. You're right.

But, you know, I just, I feel like the form is significantly

better with anbu tante than it is with outside with my nigga.

So there you go but that's kind of that like Kentucky,

California difference in some of those races anyways.

Alright so Um, that's good. Then we can keep our tickets

little bit shorter there. The race.

Number 10 is the grade one. Frank Carol mile one mount on

the turf horses for years old, and up also worth half a mil.

Louis, who do you like here? Yes, and Anita really stepping

up their purses here and you can see it reflected in the field

sizes, right? So it's nice to see 10 horses in

this race are 12. Excuse me in this race.

So I'm evens again. Two four, six and eight the four

count. Again, who is an Yo bread filled

the motto playground Pratt. Coming it off a win.

Keep Spratt has been training really well, to, to subconscious

was right behind, so we'll include that.

The sixth law professor is jumping back on the turf, which

I like for this horse will include there in the eighth.

Space Travelers. Going to win one of these damn

things at some point. And so for the same job, it's

just ridiculous. It's Brendon Walsh to Jamie

Spencer's percentage together is not what it should be.

So 4 to 6 and 8 for me in the car or not.

I agree with you. I mean, I think that space

traveler got what I love, space traveler in the last race in the

Pegasus Turf, but the horses had so much trouble, so much trouble

and so I'm hoping he gets a cleaner trip here.

You know, he's been right there. Like you said they've kept them

at this level to it's not like they've dropped them down

anywhere. Like this is this is a really

quality horse. They think that they want to get

him his, you know, his grade 1 and yeah, I'm right there with

you. I certainly figured that's what

words to use. I thought about.

Out the 11, Bob and Jackie totally.

Yes, thank you. That is the long shot of this

horse, no question. Yes, at 12:40, right?

I mean, we agree with you. Yes, this word has been running

for a million years, I'm pretty sure I was in California,

working at Santa Anita when this works was running, still.

So, it's one of those that, like, I never liked to play, but

always seems to show up in big spots and so I never really know

what to do with that whore. So I'm curious, especially if

you're going to take, you know, somebody in key them here.

I think you use that. Person value, I think you give

yourself a few are singling the race before the opportunity to

possibly hit a long shot here. Count again is the 4 horse for a

field a motto. I think you mentioned an even

number horse has been in some really good graded stakes races

and then the to subconscious as well, who I know you mentioned

and this is a horse here. Yep he's been right there and he

Sprites you know. Yep so yeah I think it's a

little bit of a spread race in here.

Yeah interfaces I'm more apt to include the Was right there.

Kind of Horrors that I am in there, because a lot of times,

it's a blanket finished, and it's like toilet.

That's right, it's a little, a little bit of a different trip

or, you know, if you can, if the rails of it.

He got that rail little bit more like the jockey gets you Minds

like a little bit earlier. I'm glad I'm glad I'm not the

only person that has been chasing.

Space traveler has been talking about his age.

Takes last year for the Woodbine.

My livestream on a BRI, gave out the cold exact of the pay $293,

Tom Cruise over space traveler and I will be on track Saturday.

And I will be throwing a whole bunch of money at space

traveler, so you guys may know on me around.

It's after post time to see if I'm still.

Okay, so I am moving space traveler for my pics.

I am only for two and six in that race thing.

Oh no. That's what happens on this

show. It's okay.

All right. All right so is Jamie Spencer

has a quick question, hold on a minute.

I probably should've done this before the show that he's he's

has not been riding. Here he is.

Coming back in to ride this horse, he's flying which I

should say. Him and Brendon Walsh are very

good friends. Sure, I like personally, I've

they're super close. So the fact that Brandon you

know is flying Jamie back in to ride this horse, I think is

speaks a lot and the fact that they became a, this great one

level. So I agree with you.

I think my hand, I will say, I wish Friars Road were in this

race because that horse would be like 15 to 1 or something like

that. And I would be hammering.

That would be my space traveler for this race.

As far as roads here. That's kind of the one thing

going back to it is he was flying in Danny to hub.

For all of the North American mounts, he couldn't come in one

time. So the one, like really strong

effort was David Moran with a pickup, mount it at Woodbine,

but it's very interesting that he's wanted to fly in jocks from

from overseas for this race. And and really, you know, Danny

T, did all the work in England, but good to see Spencer coming

in and has treated. Well, the horse well in the in

the one start in the biggest rock It seems like a race is

going to set up for, I'm too because we talked about Pace,

you've got paste, some subconscious, you've got paste

and Beyond brilliant. You totally agree, which you're

not Bob. And Jackie, I think runs a

little bit on the front end to and so, you know, this could be

a pretty Speedy race. I think this is a race that's

outside for as long as he can handle.

If it falls apart that he could win and that's rich to be fair.

You know, you might your you might say, okay, well he's a

horse that was racing in England, it my maybe, and he did

well at Keeneland on a good trap, which turf wars, which we

know was like, Very wet and would Vienna and Arlington.

Like, Kenny handle the harder surface of a Turf course, like

Santa Anita but he did well Goldstream.

So I think that that's not really an argument against him

either. Well, and you have to remember,

he has he has ran at Santa Anita before it was way back in 2019.

But oh, that's right. Yeah, forgot about that.

It's, it's not a was AIT was a lie.

But just beaten fit was was closing late.

But I had some trouble off. The start had to Heads of kind

of circumnavigate the field a little bit.

That was the year that uni BT got so many and God stormy were

in there. Yeah, so that was like, you

can't fault him for that at all. The great.

Alright, cool. So everybody's going to hammer,

space traveler. That's what we've learned from

the show, moving right along to the last race will talk about

here. And that is the grade one Sandy

to handicap, it'll be race. Number 11, a mile and a quarter

on the dirt forces for years old, and up for 650.

Was in dollars. Did this first did this race

used to be 750 or a million like in the past five years?

I feel like either way we've had good money here at sanity, the

but I feel like it used to be more than that.

I gotta have only we had Mike for the, to be fair, it could be

fair. 650. After to half-million-dollar

races at sanity? No.

No, it's also great for sure. I just historically.

All right, so in here. All right so this is another one

where you lean on a horse or you exclude and that horse is

Express train and that is the sheriff's and Espinosa

connection. I'm going to lean on that horse

and so I'm going to single to end the sequence.

What with Express Train, I think this, this is not a great one

field and agree. And so I think that he is a

Grade 2 level kind of horse. And so I leave on Express train

to win three in a row. Yeah, I mean, I I struggled to

really find somebody else in here as well.

I think you, for me, it's feel Berg.

Possibly, as you Traverse, the kind of come back here, and I'm

actually honestly surprised that he's a date.

Someone, I thought he would be second choice there and he's not

stiletto voice five, two, five, two two, I think it was, so I

hope you get some value there. But yeah, I think it's either

Express train or For Spielberg. And that's how we end it.

Yeah. We do you have a ticket to share

with us? I don't.

This you I got you do, do I okay.

Oh, wait, I've only pick three right?

Yes, you do. Okay, I'm not supposed to do

this. Mike is very mad that I have

tickets. Um, so but he's not here, so

leave them 36. So I did a I did a pick three

for the last three, great ones. Okay, we talked about all the

tops. And as time goes by 36, if you

wanted the single there, you could really clean this ticking

up three and six. And then my evens, two, four,

six eight in the second leg and then a single Eagle in the last

with Express train, the six at is I'm playing.

I'm going to play for two bucks. The pic32 at $16, if you're, if

you don't have 4 Kids &, Gamble more on horses, obviously, you

can make that a bigger ticket saying, go there you go.

That was a lot of races. I mean, we did it in an hour and

20 minutes which is still over our usual, our time.

But we did have Mike pop in and we did have like 75 million

reasons to cover in your face. John sure.

We did not write a Russian novel denied in your face.

What you got to say about that? Don't worry about that.

Don't worry about that. That's a private thing.

Don't worry about that. That's for me to John Sherman.

What's up? We all know how I feel about

that. Hey, Megan, I you and I had a

meeting tonight with a couple of people in.

I, I told my wife when I got home, that I always have fun

when you and I work on this show, it's not just on the show,

but when we work on it, we talk about it.

We try to develop it into Whatever the next phase of this

thing is and today was one of those examples and I just I

wanted to because I'm completely say that to me.

Yeah, I prefer to you a lot and you deserve it.

You deserve you deserve a ton of God is not one of those days.

I am appreciative of you and I hope that you had as much fun as

I did today. So it was a lot of fun.

I am very excited about what's come and Excited to have Mike

back on the show and thankful that we're all here on this end.

Thanks all those to our listeners to you and everybody

that you know comments along for the show and tunes and because

we do for you. So we do for us too because we

like to drink at our horses but like we also do it for you.

It's all there. The other people have this

weekend. Yeah, good luck eye for what?

No, just just things. I'm learning about myself, man.

I can't hit a pic for pic five to save my life and I know the

pick three takeouts or higher, but the pick the take A out on a

bet. You don't hit as a hundred

percent and so I'm pressing more pick threes and I ever have I

sent one to JD the other day that I had a Golden Gate made.

I just I need a man, whatever. Do I need to know what you're

good at? That's why I shared some doubles

and some factories today because I'm just better at that.

Whatever good you like we all got our spots so I know what you

got Jenny. The time I feel like he's

playing it off a cellphone too. All right, guys are kicking us

out of here, we are way out of time.

Thanks for joining us - on TV. We were bow, my Gandolfo who is
